@ Cedric: Breton is for the people who lives in the Bretagne region, yes... :) And just in case you know this area, i was born in Dinan and now i live in Saint Malo... ;)
Sorry for the off topic rambling, but I do know Saint Malo; nice historical village where corsairs used to port? Several of them were portrayed by the painter Etienne Blendin, if memory serves me correctly.
Gosh, Cedric!!!!!! Etienne Blandin (with a A) was a memember of my family... His wife was/is my grandmother's cousin (she still alive, and not too bad for someone about 99 years old!)... :)
Here is a re-posting of some favorites that might have gotten lost during the last several months. To be honest, I am too lazy to check all these links, so let me know if any are dead and I'll happily re-upload them for youze people.

@ Everybody - Has anyone heard from our friend quinlan?
Orgy in Rhythm has a triplet of soundtracks posted should anyone be hunting for these: Michel Colombier's "L'Heritier", Quincy Jones' "The Deadly Affair", and David Shire's "Farewell, My Lovely".
The website is http://orgyinrhythm.blogspot.com/
@ isbum
Roy Budd's score for "Mama Dracula" was a great discovery. Probably given the subject matter it is quite different from his normal material and I think one of his best
@ breton
There's also an excellent whisky from the region called (perhaps not too surprisingly!) Whisky Breton
E.T - The Extra-Terrestrial Original Release Composed By: John Williams
01. Three Million Light Years from Home 02. Abandoned and Pursued 03. E.T. and Me 04. E.T.'s Halloween 05. Flying 06. E.T. Phone Home 07. Over the Moon 08. Adventure on Earth
Sorry if I'm in error on this but did you say some time back you also had the LP for Ferde Grofe's "Rocketship X-M" score? The Starlog record? That would be great to hear!
bistis6 - Little trick to get around those pesky errors is to open the rar file, right click on the corrupted track and select "Extract to the Specified Folder." In the new window, on the bottom left under "Miscellaneous" check "Keep Broken Files" and then extract as usual. That usually does the trick.
Thanks for the tip, it worked. If only I had known that months ago. Either that, or had bothered to look at the extraction options. LOL And thanks for going to the trouble to upload the track.
@ all I just posted 25-track expanded promo of Randy Newman's A Bug's Life. I hope it is enjoyed. It's a CD rip @320Kb. http://scoredaddys.blogspot.com/2007/05/randy-newman-bugs-life-expanded-promo.html
Here's my LP rip of Richard Band's "The Day Time Ended" at 256 - no images. http://rapidshare.com/files/30194700/The_Day.ZIP.html
I plead guilty to actually liking the movie too... It's pretty poor - mostly just an excuse for some stop motion and other effects - but I've always loved the deserted alien spaceport. Anybody else seen the authorized DVD release? It's the worst looking transfer I've seen outside some films in 50 movie sets and other cheap collections of public domain items.
Good day to all. Sorry, I haven't had a chance to post anything in a couple of days. I'll try to get something up today :)
@isbum- How are you mate? Thank you for The Touchables. I've heard allot about this score, so I'm anxious to hear it :)
@soulpeeps Thanks too for The Sandpiper. I could have sworn I had this LP somewhere, but I've yet to find it. So again, thanks for putting this one up.
@filmpac- How ya doin' friend? Thanks so much for posting the Malcolm Arnold. I have only a few by Arnold, so I'm very happy to see these posted. :)
I hear his score for David Copperfield is suppose to be quite nice as well.
@ isbum - In keeping with the rules of the house, file this under "hard to find", at least it was for friend Isbum;) Coming off of The Guns of Navarone, Tiomkin provided a taut, piano-dominated score with an accent on stealth.
@ everyone - Someone somewhere asked for this, I think it's just about the last of the Mike Curb soundtracks that have been shared here and there. Done in a twangy surf guitar style. Not the greatest bitrate but ultra hard to find.
@ mumford - Thanks for the assist on Until September. I test the archives before uploading nowadays, so it seems strange there was an error. Did you also strike an error on the same track?
@ 7 black notes - Thanks for the Stardust soundtrack. Your upload seems to cover the last 11 tracks of 40 (tracklist), which are certainly the hardest ones to find. Would you happen to have the whole thing complete, before I stitch them together from various sources?
@ isbum - Should be noted that The Eagles on your "Nothing But The Best" soundtrack are NOT the same Eagles as the Hotel California ones. A sweet upload, thanks for sharing!
Hi, I have the complete two-LP set of Stardust but only transferred the material that was done for the film. I can post the other two LP sides if you like for the full 40-track experience; it's all standard oldies by Aretha Franklin, etc.
@ All- Bear with me here, i'll try not to go on too much.
@ soulpeeeps - Did you get my "For Colored Girls.." post? Looking back I see that I might have pulled a G on the El Topo's. In the rush to prevent anyone going through the seperate track downloads(I went through that and it made me crazy) and having an active link to the set I jumped in. Please accept my humble apology.
@ filmpac - Listening to "36 Hours" now and I love this score! If you listen to the Main Title on headphones, you'll hear the piano figure being hunted from one channel to the other and out. Brilliant descriptive for a man being hunted, in my estimation.
As to it being an in print FSM title, I would prefer the link not stay active for more than a few days. Other sites like Share, or lurkers might post it elsewhere, and I feel these are best kept in the Family here, privatly shared, or at the least as a "limited time" offering. Should this place still be here at the end of the year Holidays, I hope we can do some "gift sharing" again.
@ All - I think it would be most excellent of us to drop dear friend nomwl1 a get well wish. With all that is going on, I am certain this would be a tonic to his general health.
Write to:

@ tony - For you, I re-upped this Stanley Myers produced Lp. I am always on the lookout for a better copy because I love this record.

Oooh, jazz version of the "36 Hours" Main Title is so cool man!

@ everyone,
Thanks to you all for your generosity and for helping to make this such a great community! Only a few days have passed since I was able to pay much attention here, and the coffers runneth over!
@isbum- Crying is a good thing my friend :) Seriously, It works wonders for me. And thank you so much for the Stanley Myers, going to download right now. :)
@mr. t-- Post away! Some great stuff you have there :)
@ tony - Yes. I do feel better. Thanks Mr. Delerue, and bless you.
@ marco - I got the Grizzly for ye! Attax or 7 Black posted it what seems like years ago now. 1 Grizz comin' up.
I was listening to this driving all over the valley this weekend. Thought I'd up the Deluxe version. No extra tracks from the movie here, but 11 popular songs by the composer Harry Nilsson.

@ marco - Sorry to say that I dropped one of the 3 versions of the song "What Makes a Man a Man" when I ripped it. I stopped doing that for this very reason.:(
OMG! Thank You!!!! May you blessed with a winning scratch off ticket!
I honestly did not see your post of "Colored Girls". I'm starting to get cross-eyed because there are so many posts and if I scroll too fast I miss a bunch of stuff. I just can't keep up.
@ soulpeeps - Good suggestion, but it would take someone far more organized than me to accomplish. I found the "Colored Girls" at CD Trader in the San Fernando Valley and it had your name on it.:)
@ breton girl and sallie I keep forgetting my list of the Disney's when I shop. As a result, I have got 2 that were already posted, "Happiest Millionaire" and "The Sword in the Stone" - which I posted but the lack of responce tells me someone posted it.
Here's a new rip @320
"Zita" by Francois de Roubaix
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8DUE4V82
I finally saw "Raw Meat" aka "Death Line" this weekend. Any of you have the score that you could share?
Gracias for "The Day Time Ended". When I first read articles about the movie I was keen to see it, and when I finally did catch the movie it was, well, underwhelming. Some nice effects though, and a storyline that in a way beats "Poltergeist" to the punch.
Wow, lots of things happening since I last stuck my nose in. Thunder Alley has been a looong time request, woo-hoo! And Savage 7, oh yes baby!!
Isbum, I am fine with dropping off 36 Hours in 36 hours or so. But a suggestion if I may? I've got a pretty good idea on download patterns here now, and know that 90% of downloads happen in the first 36 hours. Any spike later indicates it has been posted outside this forum. I can then kill it ASAP. I feel it would be better to keep it alive (in the family here, as you say, for new friends). But if you want me to kill it I will. Your call?
PS. Good news, I've got a lead on your Lalo Most Wanted, stay tuned. And lots more new goodies.
@ 7 black notes - If not too much trouble, yes please on the complete Stardust soundtrack, would be super!
You’re talking about killing your links because 90% are downloaded within 36 hours of posting.
Since May 4 I’ve been battling to download posts uploaded with megaupload, e.g. isbum’s Greek Cooking by Phil Woods and your Bridge On The River Kwai. (There are a few more as well that I would like to have listened to).
This is the message I get each time:
“Unfortunately, all available bandwidth is currently reserved for our premium customers. Therefore, free downloads will be unavailable for the next 8 hours.
We're working on adding more capacity for free users and would like to apologize for the inconvenience.
Your Megaupload Team”
Problem is, the 8 hours simply continue and I can never download anything.
I don’t know why this is happening – perhaps it’s because I’m not in the USA.
I’m not about to become a premium customer – being a retiree I don’t have money to spend on such luxuries. So if you kill links now I’ll never get them, even if the problem is eventually resolved.
@ mel - I am really only talking short-term availability for VERY new, in print, small lable releases. Things like V@rese Club, Intr@da Special Edition, FSM, really any little lable that releases scores for love, not money. What filmpac said about downoad's peaking in the first few days, can be applied to film scores released to the general marketplace. They also peak while the film is playing on screens around the world. Let's say their was a soundtrack release for Spiderman 3, I wouldn't want it posted here at least until the film has played out it's theatrical run. Now that most DVD's have isolated scores, (some give out a seperate soundtrack disc) posting them becomes a moot point.
What are mirror post's? I see them mentioned, and think it might solve Mel's problem with megaupload.
@ filmpac - how's Friday night for ending the 36 Hours link?
@ everybody - Tell your friends that we are here. If you come across somebody who is looking to find out where we have gone to, feel free to let them know about isbumsplace. I'll do my best to keep this spot friendly and welcoming. The rules are in place and my little trash can is at the ready.
Candice Bergen is no dummy, she's had a career in film and television that is incredible. Yep, i.m a Boston Legal fan. This soundtrack was back when she was quite the globe trotting babe.
Got me wondering..what kind of a score did "Carnal Knowledge" have?
@ isbum - Friday night it is, so anyone wanting Tiomkin's 36 Hours should grab it before the link is killed. For Mel, that was a rapidshare link, so you should be fine. And many thanks for the pair of Quincy's, I am digging them both. Love the Ha-Cha-Cha song, even though I've never seen the movie.
@ the musical lovers - Check out the Mostly Ghostly Music Sharing Blaaahhhggg!!! for a special treat, the soundtrack to the animated film "Gay Purr-ee", with Judy Garland. As the blog owner says "This seems like it should have been a Disney Film but was actually released by Warner Brothers." And for the Disney crew, there are also a couple of storybook LPs (story narration), including Blackbeard's Ghost with Peter Ustinov.
@ ronnie c - Please to add my thanks for the complete Mark Shreeves, much appreciated.
PS. Please visit the front page of YDHTVTB and lend your support to Nomwl1.
Thanks for the Lalo filmpac! Hi tony with a little more Delerue I see.
filmpac - "Enter Laughing" introduced actor Reni Santoni to filmgoers in '67. In "Dirty Harry" he played the unlucky Inspector Chico Gonzalez. Tons of television work, most notably in the great "Murder One".
Here's a trivia question hopefully someone here can answer for me: in the early 1980s there was a TV series titled "Q.E.D." which starred Sam Waterston and was shot in London. I think it also went under the title "The Mastermind". Who did the music for the show? I can't find any details at the online resoruces I checked. While the show didn't last very long (think verrrrry briefly!)I recall it being quite fun and the music equally enjoyable.
interestingly, all refereneces and production notes to Mike Nichol's masterpiece make no mention of a music credit. Been so long since I've seen the movie, I can't remember a music score.

Famous jazz musicians plays film score. Like, Bullit(Wilton Felder) Down Here On The Ground [Cool Hand Luke] (Grant Green + Dianne Reeves) The Windmills of your mind (Bud Shank)...
Request: does anyone have the Rhino 2-Cd set entitled Miklos Rozsa at M-G-M: Motion Picture Soundtrack Anthology? would appreciate a share on this one. Thanks to all.
Is anyone interested in Christopher Young's filmmusic, like Urban Legend, Species, The Man Who Knew too Little, Hard Rain and other scores? Let me know and I will post what I have (which, unfortenately, does not include The Devil and Daniel Webster).
@ All Back from the funeral of my wife's father, I was a little bit lost when I found out that the request pages at ScoreBaby's had been deleted. Thanks to mel who answered with his usual swiftness the SOS I left in his fine little blog, I could easily locate this new place which looks so promising. First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to all of you, nice people, who offered their condolences at the occasion of my father in law's passing. I was very touched and moved by your marks of sympathy which were so cheeering and made the ineluctable less important. That is, beyond strictly music sharing, what is making blogging the way we are doing it so enjoyable. Thank you all again, and my wife thanks you all too. And thank you, isbum, to host us in your turn and so, allowing us to develop mutually this maybe not so virtual friendship. Hopefully we'll be able to keep on it in a this time definitive peaceful manner. It must be an additional burden on your shoulders and you certainly deserve our thankfulness for it. I have now a long but very pleasant job to do, to go through the (already) 315 comments and certainly pick up some of the usual wonderful stuff that I may expect to find in here. I'll be back soon with some new links to offer. Thank You & All The Very Best.
I just discovered that the Stanley Black album was posted at the Sounds Of Champaign (Side 2) blog in January, but the link is now dead. Check the link for more info on this album. Mine didn't come from there, thought you all might enjoy. Anyone have the others in this series?
Thanks 7 Black for Stardust, & mr t for the GREAT shares!
@ quinlan, it's very nice to see you back. I have several things on the que awaiting your arrival.
@ tony Thanks for Summer Story, you saved me the time ripping a copy I came across.
@ mr.t - Speaking of ripping, I had a laugh reading your post yesterday. While it's not physical labor, the mental drain can be very exhausting, not to mention exasperating when the Lp has seen better years. You really did a terrific job on Thunder Alley mr.t! I appreciate the time and effort man.
@ filmpac - MOST WANTED is an excellent compilation of Schifrin's music! I thank you and my cat Lalo thanks you!
I am putting some calls out for Lalo's "Rock Requiem" '71, if anyone has this let me know fast because I am ready to drop serious coin this weekend in order to hear and share it.
A friend of mine is looking for the soundtrack to the movie *Zebrahead*, but specifically with an unreleased track by Taj Mahal called _"Economical Prison"_.
Sorry to hear of your father-in-law's passing. My father passed away at the beginning of the year after a slow three-month decline. During that horrific period I found most of you generous folks on the request thread at YDHTVTB. It was a wonderful place to be, offering an oasis of escape from the difficulties of the days. I'm glad you've found your way here, and hope that this new blog offers you and your wife some comfort in the coming days.
Thank you for setting up this blog and for providing a civilised sharing environment - and thank you for inviting me to participate! Hope fully I can fulfil some requests,so keep them coming!
@everyone
Great to see you all here! I've been away for a while so lots of great music to catch up on - thank you all!
I've had this for a while now, was going to post it way back somewhere when it was requested, but held off because it's in-printness. On checking now, it seems that the supplier's website is having issues, a sure indicator that they too have crashed and burned. So, I reckon it's safe to share...
A few more irtems if anyone wants them... Moving along my CD shelf: Roy Budd "Field of Honor", "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" John Charles "The Quiet Earth" with "Iris" Jay Chattaway "Red Scorpion"
@ Filmpac - I'm very fond of Howard Blake's "Amityville 3D" (Somebody shared that a good while back, I got it and replaced my old bootleg tape), and a Howard Blake score to something like "The Riddle of the Sands" has got to be good. It goes without saying that I'll be grabbing "The Duelists"... Thanks!
Just recently purchased Dark Of The Sun by Jacques Loussier. Would anyone possibly have You Only Live Once aka: Gentle Love and/ or a compilation release by this fine composer?
@ quinlan - Welcome back, glad you were able to find us ok. A small heads-up for you (or anybody else), Tiomkin's 36 Hours will be deleted in approx 24 hours from now, so if you are wanting that one please to grab it ASAP.
@ isbum - LOL, you & your cat Lalo are most welcome for Most Wanted! And you're correct sir, a most excellent comp it is, with lots of Lalo rarities.
@ thingmaker - Also welcome, I have The Quiet Earth (others will appreciate I am sure, it's a lovely score to a most unusual sci-fi film), and I would be definitely keen on Iris. Thanks!
And in keeping with Isbum's Great Depression theme, a reminder of an earlier post for new friends. Warning, contains dialogue, lots of it.
It sure is great to see the ol' gang getting back together (Howdy Watson!) plus so many nice new folks dropping in and contributing. Once again---hats off to you isbum! Well done amigo!
I'm still in deadline purgatory (for the next few weeks or so unfortunately) but, just remembered I had these on my work computer...
@ sallie---here's a couple of Disney Albums from the 60's based on rides @ Disneyland. I've combined PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN w/ THE ENCHANTED TIKI ROOM (the first features the amazing Thurl Ravenscroft narrating and singing while the later has some pops and scratches but is stll ALOT of fun)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WE4VX0TU
Well that's all for now folks, Til Next Time, All The Best,
Wow, so much great stuff over the past 24 hours! And thanks for reviving some of my old posts, Isbum -- great to see them still alive 'n' kicking. Here's a contribution following up on some of the recent love for Stanley Myers -- his fascinating, atmospheric score for the ultra-scandalous '60s screen version of James Joyce's Ulysses, stereo LP version. Enjoy!
Well, I think I know why Mel was having troubles with Megaupload. Seems they have a new policy. I just got a screen telling me I can wait 197 minutes before downloading again. Looks like the dreaded rapidshare wait time is now also the dreaded megaupload wait time... TIMES TWO!
Let's hope the same disconnect and reconnect trick works.
Thanks so much for Oscar Peterson's Put On A Happy Face - brilliant as usual.
This is crazy: I was able to download it (mega)without any difficulty but when I tried the Phil Woods again I still got the same old same old.... go figure!
Can I offer you a double in return: The Jazz Soul Of Oscar Peterson / Affinity - top drawer stuff from 1959 and 1962 respectively.
@ mel and filmpac - Yes. It's happening to me too. Their way of thanking us for making them #1?
Mel - Please share the Oscar Peterson's. The man has astounding controll over those keys. How does he touch those lighter and lighter until the sound seems to fade into the air. Bloody brilliant!
Now occasionally I will upload a record just because I love it. I'm just calling the posts
"an isbum favorite from the past"
TOWER OF POWER - URBAN RENEWAL 1974 (Funk and Soul)
In fact there are the scores of two films, Norman Jewison's "In the Heat Of The Night" (1967) & its sequel, Gordon Douglas' "They Call Me Mister Tibbs" (1970). The LP title is "Soul Flower" from the name of one track of the 2nd movie. Probably due to LPs space limits, the scores are not complete (only excerpts). It's interesting to listen to and compare both scores which are somewhat different. "In the Heat Of The Night" is rather an underscore reflecting the dramatic art and the atmosphere of the film (except the title song). To appreciate it, it's good to know that it's a film score and even better if you've seen the movie, as opposed to "They Call Me Mister Tibbs" which can be listen to as very good pieces of Jazz with a blues flavor. The rip is @ 320 with artwork. It's got to be noted that in the 1st score, Ray Charles sings the title song and plays piano on another track. By the way, sometime ago I found the complete score of "They Call Me Mister Tibbs" (15 tracks), but I don't remember in which blog. The rip was @ 128. If some of you would like to have it, let me know, I'll post it. Enjoy and many thanks again to everyone for your kind words.
Uhh... actually "Lucky Lady" is prohibition era, not depression era... Which is why I thank Isbum for it, cuz that's the period I need more music for. (Call of Cthulhu role play set in 1923 San Francisco and worldwide)
Here's the John Charles score "The Quiet Earth" with "Iris" from the Label X CD at 320 - no images.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DSXXZT7H
I remember not being real impressed by "Utu" and I haven't heard anything else by John Charles, but, based on "The Quiet Earth", I'd like to hear more.
@ mel, isbum, other jazz fans Here is a great Oscar Peterson collection I grabbed at some other blog (don't remembr where). It's a 4-disc set called Exclusively For My Friends @320k (not my rip): http://rapidshare.com/files/1428582/OP_-_EFMF_Bs_.part1.rar.html http://rapidshare.com/files/1438710/OP_-_EFMF_Bs_.part2.rar.html http://rapidshare.com/files/1450409/OP_-_EFMF_Bs_.part3.rar.html http://rapidshare.com/files/1461460/OP_-_EFMF_Bs_.part4.rar.html http://rapidshare.com/files/1472254/OP_-_EFMF_Bs_.part5.rar.html http://rapidshare.com/files/1479630/OP_-_EFMF_Bs_.part6.rar.html pass : blacky
@ all I will be away for a bit more than one week. I would like to leave you all with a little Grusin.
One film score THE CURE, one disc (MIGRATION) that includes a suite from MILAGRO BEANFIELD WAR, and one jazz disc with a lot of cathy tunes MOUNTAIN DANCE. Enjoy:
THE CURE http://rapidshare.com/files/30728039/The_Cure.rar
MIGRATION incl. MILAGRO BEANFIELD WAR http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JALIUQ5A
@ scoredaddy - Thanks for Mountain Dance brother, may your journey be a safe one.
@ thingmaker- Thanks for the correction. Being a former drunk, nothing would have depressed me more than prohibition.;) My roomie does the RPG's.
@ h20 - Your "Blue Movies -SFTS" post is GREAT. Version of "Kojak" is now my favorite take on that theme. I've heard that version of "Bullitt" before, but can't remember what Lp it was on.
@ scoredaddy + mel - Looks like an Oscar Peterson kind-a-weekend. Thanks guys!
@ quinlan - I am curious, is the Soul Flower record a rerecording of the film material?
Since it looks like we are in an Oscar Peterson "mood", here is the OST of Daryl Duke's "The Silent Partner" (1978) composed and played by Oscar himself (I don't think he has gone thru that kind of exercise very often).
The rip @ 320 is excellent, not mine, so thanks to the original uploader and there is some good artwork with it too. The performers, would you believe!, are as follows: Piano: Oscar Peterson; Alto Sax: Benny Carter; Trumpet: Clark Terry; Tenor Sax: Zoot Sims; Vibes: Milt Jackson; Bass: John Heard; Drums: Grady Tate. This can certainly be listen to forgetting that it's a film score. I hope we're not limiting ourselves to the week-end to share Oscar Peterson's music since I do have some good stuff to offer in this respect but this time from my own LP collection and I'm afraid I need some more time to rip, scan and upload.
@ isbum I just downloaded "They Call Me Mister Tibbs" from your link and compared it with what I had. The truth is kind of funny: you may note that your submission has 11 tracks numbered from 21 thru 35. That should total 15 tracks but you have four tracks missing, i.e. #23, #26, #30 & #34. These tracks are dialogues tracks called: "No Secrets", "Anybody Could", "Do It Properly" & "Wasting Time". Their sizes range from 136 kb to 364 kb (@128), meaning that they are very small and last less than a minute each. I checked with amazon here:
There is indeed a CD with the scores of both films containing 35 tracks (1 thru 20 being from "In the Heat Of The Night" & 21 thru 35 from "They Call Me Mister Tibbs" (yours & mine). I don't know where you got yours from and I don't remember where I got mine from either, but it seems that in both cases it's only the second half of that CD with one big difference, yours is @ 320, where mine is @ 128, so thank you for giving your link, I immediately replaced my former download by yours of a much better quality (including the artwork). Should you need the 4 four dialogue tracks missing in your post let me know, I'll provide them with great pleasure. Concerning my LP called "Soul Flower", I'm afraid to have no more precision than what you can see on the front & back covers which I submitted. I bought that LP a number of years ago, God knows where. I bought it certainly because I did see both movies and above all, because I'm a Quincy's fan. It's a United Artists record (they were the distributors), the original LP sound looks more than correct and that's all what can provide concerning it. I thought it was worth offering it particularly for the part of it relating to "In The Heat Of The Night" which I don't remember having seen on musical blogs. Well I think I must have been rather long and boaring just for one link, so next time I'll put the link (it's going to be an Oscar Peterson) and shut up. Enjoy!!!
quinlan, i think you missed us. I happen to enjoy informative posts, so don't worry. The Silent Partner was my post and i have no problem with re-upping posts at all. As to the Oscar Petersons being limited to any amount of time, it's a fine time to tell you ALL. IMPORTANT!
This blog was created for you, and as such will be as much yours as it is mine. I seriously doubt that we will ever stray very far from our focus, Soundtracks, so please feel free to post whatever you like at any time. Let's treat this as a great party where everybody get's to hang loose and play records for each other. Can you dig it?
In reguards to movie dalogue, i'm not a fan, but in the case of the "Heat/Tibb's Duo" dialogue was added to pad out the release and did nothing more than interrupt Quincy's excellent scores. Rhino did this with a Pink Panther and Carrie, and After the Fox and I just didn't care for the idea.
@ bmiami & cedric - I've located Murder At 1600, you guys are right, that's a tough one to find. Still downloading, will have it up in the next day or so. It's @192, best I could do.
@ thingmaker - Thanks for the John Charles!
@ tony - Wow, Deathtrap, I'm impressed, love that movie. It's been on my wishlist for ever, along with other similarly unreleased scores, Clue & Murder By Death. Can't thank you enough mate!
@ isbum Thank you for your understanding concerning my repost of your Oscar Perterson's post. Of course I never meant to be arrogant and just wished to complete quickly this ongoing OP festival with that OST "ready to be served" (the rip was already done so I just had to upload) pending my own submissions. I often say to myself that I should take a note of where my downloads come from, but unfortunately, I eventually don't, and this time it has put me in that embarrassing situation. Just to tell you, I enjoy uploading and sharing and I also enjoy downloading. During approximately the past 12 months I downloaded from everywhere no less than 19 Oscar Peterson's albums, not counting those currently available in your blog...At the end of the day I just ignore where they came from. So again thank you for your kind understanding and accept anyway my apologies. Regarding the time limit devoted to Oscar Peterson, well, I was just joking (maybe a not too good joke). Just a last thing before closing the subject, do you, or does anyone have the complete "In The Heat Of The Night" score. I would very much appreciate it. Thank you.
The Music-Snob has re-upped a couple of things on his blog that might be of interest here. Jerry Goldsmith's "Christus Apollo", a concert work from the late 60s, plus a couple of John Corigliano scores, including the unreleased score to the Pacino bomb, "Revolution". Well worth spending a penny methinks. These can be found in the October 2006 archive, here:
Hi,everybody! It's nice place to sharing and cooperation.I just came from Soundtrack Lover's Paradise. Here is my first post; J.Peter Robinson's rare scores The Believers 11tracks and The Kiss 14tracks Sound quality is not great, but it an unreleased score maybe @320kb
Glad to see all of the love for Oscar Peterson on here! I think "The Silent Partner" was his one and only film score? The fellow who did the arrangements and conducting on the film was Ken Wannberg, John Williams' regular music editor. Wannberg is also a good composer in his own right, having contributed moody music scores for movies like "The Late Show", "Motherlode", "The Amateur", and "Of Unknown Origin". He was also involved with "The Changeling", and I wonder if he may have contributed any compositions to "Silent Partner" as well.
@ maimone digital
I tried unsuccessfuly to get the "Twilight's Last Gleaming" score. Is the link dead or was the link address incomplete?
Here is a COOLEST blog in all over the world, for me. Every posting are dreamlike! I wish to express my gratitude to isbum and all the people who are here.
@Watson
Thank you so much for "Body Heat". I was waiting it for long long time!

I'm wondering if for some reason on my PC I'm not seeing the full file address - it shows as http://rapidshare.com/files/30480631/Twilights_Last and doesn't have the usual extention like a .rar, .zip, or .html am I missing part of the file address? Again, thanks very much for your help!
@ don roberto - This is a very common problem, don't worry. Just highlight the text one line below the link, copy, and paste. The entire link will show.

@ isbum I didn't have Michel Legrand's "After The Rain" until I downloaded it from I don't remember which blog. So here it is, thanks to the original uploader.
The rip is good @ 192 and there is a cover art. The music is an excellent jazzy score played by Michel Legrand on piano, Joe Wilder on trumpet, Zoot Sims on tenor sax, Phil Woods on alto sax & clarinet, Gene Bertoncini on guitar, Ron Carter on bass & Grady Tate on drums. Enjoy
I vaguely remember that there was a request in the ScoreBaby Annex thread for Larry Peerce's "Goodbye, Columbus" OST with music by The Association & Charles Fox. Is this request still valid? I have the LP and I'm ready to post it if required.
Here's a comp of music from late 60s to early 70s French films. I did a quick blog search to see if it's been shared previously, and although I did see it posted on a blog that link is dead now. It's a fresh CD rip at 320.

@ quinlan - Thanks for the link to Legrand's "After the Rain". I ripped a copy I found last night but it was a real popper. VERY good record!
Here is "Goodbye,Columbus" from Cd. Note: I left out the track with the football game announcer. If someone wants it, just ask quinlan. I no longer have the original disc.
I never saw the movie, which is the case with most of my Goldsmith collection.
Most of Jerry's movies were stinkers. But his music is the best. If FSM or Sony ever come out with a real complete Star Trek V soundtrack I will never need to watch that movie again!
@ Sparticusthehero - Thanks for "Shake Sauvage" from Cd. That replaced an Lp rip I had that was pretty savage.;)
@ Ruggo - Heres one of the few comps I have ever made. "26 by Five" * title means 26 tracks from five different records. Tracklist in file (see back cover)
@ breton girl I just read the unfortunate responses you received "elsewhere" in reply to your insightful comments. You know you're loved here :) ... and you are right in that our beloved Jazz fostered much of the community that exists here (that Jerry page became awesome, and the reason I rushed home every day just to see what was new). And speaking of...
@ jazz Please don’t be a stranger. Think of you still every time I listen to The Phantom or Matinee or happen upon a pink webpage (was it pink & purple or has wistfulness “colored” my memory?).
@ isbum Just as I used to with jazznotes, now I rush home every day to check franklynot. Thank you for creating a healthy and happy environment. I think I'll build an imaginary little house on that nearby imaginary hill and raise an imaginary cow or two... I'll bring the imaginary milk to town occasionally. Feel free to imagine it's good.
Thanks for compilations and hospitality of this fantastic gregless blog.
Was checking my external hard drive and discovered I have over 2,000 soundtracks comprising 200+ gigs of data. Love sharing it, but don't know what to pick next.
I'll continue to monitor requests to see if any I can accomodate.

@ Cedric: Breton is for the people who lives in the Bretagne region, yes... :) And just in case you know this area, i was born in Dinan and now i live in Saint Malo... ;)
@ Breton girl
Sorry for the off topic rambling, but I do know Saint Malo; nice historical village where corsairs used to port? Several of them were portrayed by the painter Etienne Blendin, if memory serves me correctly.

"The Day Time Ended"? Yes please!

@ filmpac
Thanks for UNTIL SEPTEMBER. Love that score!! Track 11 seems to be corrupt, however. Any chance of replacing it? Thanks!
bistis6 - Little trick to get around those pesky errors is to open the rar file, right click on the corrupted track and select "Extract to the Specified Folder." In the new window, on the bottom left under "Miscellaneous" check "Keep Broken Files" and then extract as usual. That usually does the trick.
In case it doesn't work though, here's Track 11:

I plead guilty to actually liking the movie too... It's pretty poor - mostly just an excuse for some stop motion and other effects - but I've always loved the deserted alien spaceport. Anybody else seen the authorized DVD release? It's the worst looking transfer I've seen outside some films in 50 movie sets and other cheap collections of public domain items.

Good day to all.

@isbum-
How are you mate? Thank you for The Touchables. I've heard allot about this score, so I'm anxious to hear it :)
@soulpeeps
Thanks too for The Sandpiper. I could have sworn I had this LP somewhere, but I've yet to find it. So again, thanks for putting this one up.
@filmpac-
How ya doin' friend?
Thanks so much for posting the Malcolm Arnold. I have only a few by Arnold, so I'm very happy to see these posted. :)
I hear his score for David Copperfield is suppose to be quite nice as well.
@ isbum - In keeping with the rules of the house, file this under "hard to find", at least it was for friend Isbum;) Coming off of The Guns of Navarone, Tiomkin provided a taut, piano-dominated score with an accent on stealth.

@ scoredaddy - Thanks for the John Williams live!
@ filmpac
Thanks for Inn Of The Sixth Happiness. First time I've listened to a score by Malcolm Arnold and I'm going to grab the others as well.
Thanks again, for the itroduction and the opportunity.
@ Filmpac:
Hi, I have the complete two-LP set of Stardust but only transferred the material that was done for the film. I can post the other two LP sides if you like for the full 40-track experience; it's all standard oldies by Aretha Franklin, etc.

Oddly, I was just recently listening to the regular release, and wondered if there was something more complete.

OMG! Thank You!!!! May you blessed with a winning scratch off ticket!
I honestly did not see your post of "Colored Girls". I'm starting to get cross-eyed because there are so many posts and if I scroll too fast I miss a bunch of stuff. I just can't keep up.
Thanks for the mea culpa, too. You're the best!
Is it possible to compile a list of posted links for easier reference? It might help to eliminate duplicate requests and posts.
Just suggestin'.
Thanks. :)
@ soulpeeps - Good suggestion, but it would take someone far more organized than me to accomplish.
I found the "Colored Girls" at CD Trader in the San Fernando Valley and it had your name on it.:)
@ breton girl and sallie
I keep forgetting my list of the Disney's when I shop. As a result, I have got 2 that were already posted, "Happiest Millionaire" and "The Sword in the Stone" - which I posted but the lack of responce tells me someone posted it.

UN AUTRE HOMME UNE AUTRE CHANCE
(Another Man, Another Chance) - Francis Lai
Many thanks :)
@ thingmaker
Gracias for "The Day Time Ended". When I first read articles about the movie I was keen to see it, and when I finally did catch the movie it was, well, underwhelming. Some nice effects though, and a storyline that in a way beats "Poltergeist" to the punch.

Thank You!
Isbum,
Thanks for setting up a new peaceful place for friends to share.
Anyone who's a friend of Isbum is welcome at the SLPMOC. Some nice goodies there every once in a while.
Peace,
JH
That's very kind of you John.
I have found some really great music over at your place.
Kudos to you for the invite!
Penelope by Johnny Williams. This is not my rip, nor do I remember where I got it. Thanks to the original poster.
http://rapidshare.com/files/30298933/penelope.rar
@ filmpac
@ronnie. c
Thanks for taking the time to rip & post those library tracks :)
Cheers

Would anyone happen to have Alan Silvestri's "Dutch" or "Cop & A Half"?
Here is a Goldsmith snack. I have never seen "Love Field" the movie but I like the score. Check it out, my CD rip at 320 with art.
http://rapidshare.com/files/30368322/Love_Field.rar
@ mel - I am really only talking short-term availability for VERY new, in print, small lable releases.
Things like V@rese Club, Intr@da Special Edition, FSM, really any little lable that releases scores for love, not money.
What filmpac said about downoad's peaking in the first few days, can be applied to film scores released to the general marketplace.
They also peak while the film is playing on screens around the world.
Let's say their was a soundtrack release for Spiderman 3,
I wouldn't want it posted here at least until the film has played out it's theatrical run.
Thanks to you marvelous folks, we'll be fine.

If you have this a good bit rate would be supremely appreciated!

@ scoredaddy - I hope it's the Academy Promo. He was rather specific.
Thanks in advance.

Back from the funeral of my wife's father, I was a little bit lost when I found out that the request pages at ScoreBaby's had been deleted.

Thanks 7 Black for Stardust, & mr t for the GREAT shares!
Hey Cedric: Any chance you got Chris Young's MURDER AT 1600 -- I been looking for that one EVERYWHERE?!?
@quinlan-

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I've had this for a while now, was going to post it way back somewhere when it was requested, but held off because it's in-printness. On checking now, it seems that the supplier's website is having issues, a sure indicator that they too have crashed and burned. So, I reckon it's safe to share...

@ thingmaker - Also welcome, I have The Quiet Earth (others will appreciate I am sure, it's a lovely score to a most unusual sci-fi film), and I would be definitely keen on Iris. Thanks!

Wow, so much great stuff over the past 24 hours! And thanks for reviving some of my old posts, Isbum -- great to see them still alive 'n' kicking. Seriously though, I hope your doing well buddy!

@rocket from mars-
I'm hangin' in there mate. It's still giving me problems, but I'm trying to be positive.
You take of yourself too. :)

@ isbum
Thanks so much for Oscar Peterson's Put On A Happy Face - brilliant as usual.
This is crazy: I was able to download it (mega)without any difficulty but when I tried the Phil Woods again I still got the same old same old.... go figure!
Can I offer you a double in return: The Jazz Soul Of Oscar Peterson / Affinity - top drawer stuff from 1959 and 1962 respectively.
Quinlan, welcome back here, and sorry again for your loss... *hugs*
I got another request (seems hard to found): Kingdom of Heaven recording sessions 3cd

Here is an early Quincy Jones score.

@ mel, isbum, other jazz fans
Here is a great Oscar Peterson collection I grabbed at some other blog (don't remembr where). It's a 4-disc set called Exclusively For My Friends @320k (not my rip):

@ isbum, quinlan, scoredaddy and all the jazz cats,
Hey guys, you can never get enough of Oscar Peterson.
Here is a swinging twofer: The Oscar Peterson Trio’s The Jazz Soul Of Oscar Peterson and Affinity – (V*rv*) - all artwork is in the first link:

Thanks for the OP!
@ all
I will be away for a bit more than one week. I would like to leave you all with a little Grusin.
One film score THE CURE, one disc (MIGRATION) that includes a suite from MILAGRO BEANFIELD WAR, and one jazz disc with a lot of cathy tunes MOUNTAIN DANCE. Enjoy:

All are my own CD rips @320Kb.
@ quinlan - Very curious to hear the extras from Tibbs.
My link for the regular "They Call Me Mister Tibbs" is 320 and still active. Here.

Good day all.
Here are a couple of unreleased scores from Johnny Mandel-
DEATHTRAP tracks 1-8
THE VERDICT -tracks 9-16
From cassette source. The sound quality is good, but not great :)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BL9KEP56
Hope you enjoy
Since it looks like we are in an Oscar Peterson "mood", here is the OST of Daryl Duke's "The Silent Partner" (1978) composed and played by Oscar himself (I don't think he has gone thru that kind of exercise very often).
http://rapidshare.com/files/30748113/Oscar_Peterson_The_Silent_Partner.rar
The rip @ 320 is excellent, not mine, so thanks to the original uploader and there is some good artwork with it too.
The performers, would you believe!, are as follows:
Piano: Oscar Peterson; Alto Sax: Benny Carter; Trumpet: Clark Terry; Tenor Sax: Zoot Sims; Vibes: Milt Jackson; Bass: John Heard; Drums: Grady Tate.
This can certainly be listen to forgetting that it's a film score.
I hope we're not limiting ourselves to the week-end to share Oscar Peterson's music since I do have some good stuff to offer in this respect but this time from my own LP collection and I'm afraid I need some more time to rip, scan and upload.
@ isbum
I just downloaded "They Call Me Mister Tibbs" from your link and compared it with what I had.
I checked with amazon here:
http://www.amazon.com/Heat-Night-1967-Mister-Tibbs/dp/samples/B000005Z5W/ref=dp_tracks_all_1/104-3065327-1022329#disc_1
As to the Oscar Petersons being limited to any amount of time,
it's a fine time to tell you
ALL.
Now..i'll shut up. Fat FUNKY Horns up next!!
@ scoredaddy
If you see this before you go, you're welcome and thank YOU very much for the box set.
Magnificent.
And I think we're all digging this Peterson festival.
I must have missed the memo about it being Oscar Peterson day, I'm still back somewhere on Ferrio and giallo;-)

@ isbum
Thank you for your understanding concerning my repost of your Oscar Perterson's post.
Thank you.
The Tower of Power horns got me in the mood for this..

Glad to see all of the love for Oscar Peterson on here! I think "The Silent Partner" was his one and only film score? The fellow who did the arrangements and conducting on the film was Ken Wannberg, John Williams' regular music editor. Wannberg is also a good composer in his own right, having contributed moody music scores for movies like "The Late Show", "Motherlode", "The Amateur", and "Of Unknown Origin". He was also involved with "The Changeling", and I wonder if he may have contributed any compositions to "Silent Partner" as well.

I didn't have Michel Legrand's "After The Rain" until I downloaded it from I don't remember which blog.

Enjoy
@Scorebaby
I have the Shadow. Coming right up.

I just read the unfortunate responses you received "elsewhere" in reply to your insightful comments. You know you're loved here :) ... and you are right in that our beloved Jazz fostered much of the community that exists here (that Jerry page became awesome, and the reason I rushed home every day just to see what was new). And speaking of...
@ jazz
Please don’t be a stranger. Think of you still every time I listen to The Phantom or Matinee or happen upon a pink webpage (was it pink & purple or has wistfulness “colored” my memory?).
@ isbum
Just as I used to with jazznotes, now I rush home every day to check franklynot. Thank you for creating a healthy and happy environment.
