Hi all....wowsers. What great share thus far. Could I please request Young Sherlock Holmes @320 - if possible! Danny Elfman - Pure Luck & Planet Of The Apes (Goldsmith) @320 - again, if possible. Many thanks and may the cool vibe at Frankly Not continue!
Well, I would like to request the score from "Stephen King's IT". An unreleased score of 1990.
It is a very rare release, published by Falling Mountain Music. Limited of 1500 copies only, and I know that there's still many copies. Richard Bellis is the composer. This rarity & limited soundtarck is composed of 32 tracks (or 33, I believe ...), for a total of 70 minutes of music.
As for FMM, they unfortunately erased their blogspot. It was

@ Isbum, Re: MAY HIGHLIGHT. I have to send a big shoutout to janus2810 / JP for another brilliant batch of Euro scores (Micalizzi, de Masi, Lai, etc.), 'cause that's my thing at the moment. Some unusual scores from CDs and some very nice vinyl masters (proper EQ balancing and hardly any flaws); some verrry obscure titles that even the specialist websites haven't heard of. Best of all, of course, is the music. I aint never been to Italy or France, but I can go there in my head with these records. 3410
P.S. REQUEST: Bruno Nicolai: "A Man Called Apocalypse Joe" ('71), Beat, '98
@ mel & quinlan & anyone else who enjoyed the Bronislau Kaper piano works - From one of my favorite composers, performed by the composer himself, on solo piano...
I will put my requests here again ;) (just in case a newbie got something): Poltergeist II complete score (2cd) The Last Samurai Complete score (not the expanded) Willow [Complete Score] (2-CD) (James Horner) Beetlejuice [2-CD edition] (Danny Elfman)
hi guys how r u well Couple of Alfred Newman Requests if any body have these titles

@filmpac Thanks bud, Love of the game arrived safe and sound! Much appreciated.
@bistis6 Not got a clue how many downloads Family Plot has had my friend, I'm guessing I needed to do it through my premium account to keep score? I just went for the quick upload option.. One thing I am sure of, I'm certainly happy that you posted it!
@ can't remember.. Can't remember who it was as we have turned the page, but thanks to whoever pointed me towards Dredd by Silvestri, (hellovalot of nice scores over there).
Please.. Thank Bistis6 for Family Plot, he's the man who we should be grateful to, he is the original uploader of the score and I certainly don't want to take any credit for that.
Beware, after checking I found that this is not the complete Devil At 4 O'clock, but excerpts from the FSM recording which, to the best of my knowledge, is still in print.
So these excerpts may whet your appetite enough to induce you to make a purchase:
Tony, thanks for ode to billy joe ,but in the page of hyperfileshare.com it is not very cler how to download the file. how i can download the file? thanks
@ alex - I found this but it came labelled as a bootleg, so is not quite your request, but I thought you would still be interested. I'll second your request for the LP version, since it sounds mighty nice indeedy...
*includes themes from "Checkmate" "Inside Daisy Clover" "The Moving Target" "To Kill a Mockingbird" "Soldier in the Rain" "The Americanization of Emily" "Bachelor Flat" "Fire Down Below" "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg"
However, Ford Thaxton is also rumored to be producing this as well. I hope it's FSM, they always grace film music with the utmost attention to detail and care.
Much earlier in the day, I posted a long list of JERRY GOLDSMITH scores such as Chain Reaction, Flint, King Solomon's Mines etc. Different from the 10 posted above. The posting seems to have disappeared. Did you delete it?
@ mr.t - Checking out your stereo copy of "Robbery". Sounds great man! I had a copy of "Cast a Giant Shadow" in my hands recently, but the weather in my wallet was mostly cloudy. so no shadow yet:(
HERE'S A REPOST OF THE JERRY GOLDSMITH POSTED VERY EARLY IN THE DAY.
After listening to the recently posted JERRY GOLDSMITH concerts, decided I should probably at least chip away at the tip of my GOLDSMITH iceberg and toss a few soundtracks into the mix.
@ ruggo - I think your earlier Jerry's were on the May page.
@ isbum - I haven't forgotten your requests mate, I have Tiomkin's "Wild Is The Wind" for you, plus another great one by him. "Starlight Express" is proving elusive, but given a week I can probably turn it up somewhere.
@filmpac - It's O.K., think I'll just rip-and-bear-it! How bad could it be, really? My record hunt in Long Beach got cancelled ... again, so I got Saturday to do it now.
@ Isbum, Thanks for de Masi's "Quanto Costa Morire" (Cost of Death?). I've been listening to the Spaghetti Western Encyclopedia all week and singing "Who is / the man / that will / face alone his enemy?", so it's a pleasant surprise to get the chance to come to grips with the whole score. 3410
filmpac provided me with the Insomnia soundtrack a while ago (thanks again). I have found the soundtrack to the original Insomnia (1997) by Geir Jenssen (Biosphere). It's worth a listen. The movie is great too BTW.
Hi everyone and thanks for all the sharings. Well, I got some requests : - Michael Giacchino for Medal Of Honor AIRBORNE - Joel Goldsmith for Call of duty 3 and of course: - John Williams for Harry potter 3 without SFX.
Here's my rip of the otherwise unreleased music from the brilliant 1963 Paul Newman film. Spare, haunting themes on solo classical guitar, with a bit of incidental music at the end. 11 tracks / 11 minutes
@ Charade: you need to be logged for the download link (it's easy), but there's a game rip for the Call of Duty 3 ost here: http://forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?t=40753
And searching in this forumm ffshrine, i found this: Danny Elfman's meet the robinsons in 2 CDs! I don't listen it yet. http://www.sendspace.com/file/91e73u and http://www.sendspace.com/file/m6zuj5 Merci encore à Breton girl!
@ Rocket from Mars - Here is the soundtrack I was telling you about, it's like Les Baxter,Nelson Riddle,Si Zentner and Neil Hefti playing a doubles tennis match. Entertaining start to finish.
from Manchester Morgue:
"I Told You Not to Cry" by Gert Wilden & Orchestra
Hello at all.I'm Jean. Good morning to Breton Girl and Thomas who are french. This blog is fantastic .Thank you very much in advance. I will post some scores too. I have some requests: -the crush by graeme revell -light it up by Harry Gregson-williams -cool runnings -the score by Hans Zimmer -Dominic and Eugene by Trevor Jones -the juror by James Newton Howard -Pollock-rejected score by Donald Rubinstein -Live in bagdad by Steve Jablonsky-bootleg -Millenium celebration by Gavin Greeneway -Young guns-rejected score by James Horner -The public eye-rejected score by Jerry Goldsmith -T-Rex by William Ross -Return to sender by Harry Gregosn-williams
Here is...Give me advice for posting, please. JEAN alias ALLSCORES.At the next
In view of the approaching release of RATATOUILLE... does anyone know whether there exists a promo album for Michael Giacchino's SKY HIGH? I enjoyed the score immensely (the film, too, by the way, surprisingly decent), but the official soundtrack album didn't include even one second of score music.
@ skyrider- I don't think so. "Bloodbrothers" from around the same period, also didn't get a proper release. Perhaps Elmer was too buisy with his re-recordings, or the studio's just had no interest in releasing them. I dunno.
@ isbum I've been rather silent lately because I was working on a time consuming project relating to this blog which I'm planning to disclose by tomorrow. I was going to express my wishes to see you uploading the two Previns and the Ponty, but just noticed that they were already available. So thank you for that and even before downloading and listening to them, let me say, along with mel, how praiseworthy I'm pretty sure they are! I will also take care of the two files you wanted to be restored with pleasure. Cheers!
@ mel Sometime ago you indicated that there was a working link at nomwl1's place for Elmer Bernstein's "The Silencers" (October 26, 2006), but I was totally unable to find it. Could you please kindly guide me to where the link is (which page or which thread,) or just give me the link; I would very much appreciate it. Thanks a lot pal
Hi pal, you've been conspicuous by your absence for the past few days - good to see you back.
The link for The Silencers was not in one of the request pages but in the main section.
I've tried copying the hyperlink to here but can't get it to work.
The easiest way to find it is to use the blog's search in the main section for Silencers and scroll down. The rapidshare link is dead but the megaupload still works.
If you have difficulties let me know and I'll reup it for you.
At the moment I'm having trouble with Randy Newman's The Natural. When I attempt to extract with WINRAR, the dignostic message box comes up that it could not extract any files because "The system cannot find the path specified".
Any hints on how to correct this? I tried repairing the archive, but that didn't work. I know it's not exceeding the character requirement, so I'm baffled.
You have to extract the file to another folder. I guess that the name of the specific folder contains caracters that windows will not accept (like : or "). I allready had that problem in the past. You have to choose "do not extract pathname"
A recent request for James Horner’s rejected (who could ever imagine rejecting James Horner?) score for Young Guns reminded me of a set I have of REJECTED & UNUSED SCORES (probably more unused than rejected). Unfortunately, I only have the two CD’s of Vol.1 and assume there are more volumes. If anyone has them, please share. In the meantime, here are the CD’s from Vol.1 of

@ isbum (& everyone) There has been some discussions recently on how to archive the month of May data. As a suggestion, I gathered together all links (URL) from May 1st thru May 31st and put them in an MS Excel sheet containing for each link, the date posted, the uploader name, the record title, the artist name and eventually the password if any. It resulted in a 769 links list (not bad for a first month!). That exercise required some time explaining my absence from posting during the last few days. But I'm finally quite happy of the result which you may find here:
To be able to use it properly, you first must have MS Excel in your computer and be somewhat familiar with it. It may result in a convenient way to find a link with the sorting out capability of the system. Here it's presented sorted out by uploader name, then by date posted and finally by record title alphabetical order. But should you need to find out all links for one particular artist, do the sorting on the artist name and you'll have all Lalo Schifrin links grouped together for instance. You know that MS Excel provides the sorting capability on a 3 level basis. If some of you are not too familiar with that, just ask and I will explain quickly how it works. Another thing, the links are presented not as hyper links; but should you need one or several or all links to be hyper links, just double left click on the requested cell(s) and then go out of this cell(s) by clicking on any other cell. The desired link will automatically turn into a blue hyper link which you may then just click once to go directly to the download page. Of course this is reprenting a first try for archiving and although I did it carefully, there are possibly or even probably errors and/or omissions, then do not hesitate to comment and give your opinion so the whole thing can be improved to the satisfaction of everyone. A last thing to isbum: you may think that this is overexposing us. This is your blog and if you think that it is not wise to publish this list, please feel free to delete this post. I may in this case communicate the schedule by e-mail to whomever would request it among us. Thank you for your feed back.
@ isidingo Thank you for My Life. Still hoping you can find some of the John Barrys you're after; hope it's okay if I repost them for you.
(1964) Man in the Middle. (1964) Seance on a Wet Afternoon. (1965) Mister Moses. (1971) The Persuaders!. (1971) They Might Be Giants. (1971) Mary, Queen of Scots. (1971) Murphy’s War. (1972) The Adventurer. (1972) Meng long guojiang. (1972) Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. (1973) The Glass Menagerie. (1974) Mission: Monte Carlo. (1974) The Tamarind Seed. (1975) The Day of the Locust.
I know that this comment section deals with music... however I post here my blog adress, where I sometime post covers I made with Photoshop. The last one I made is for the future Pixar : Ratatouille, by Michael Giacchino. I also worked on soundtracks like Harry Potter 5, Shrek the Third, Happy Feet, Van Helsing, Brother Bear, M.I.3 and Transformers
J'ai déjà The Hunchback of Notre-Dame !
* recorded "Live at the Meridien - Paris" "Chez Moustache" note: For the most part, audience applause has been removed.
@ quinlan - This is amazing what you have done! You are a great friend to have put forth such an effort. I am open to any suggestions on how we can best use this information. I can open a post up for you to leave the link and information on how to navigate. The comments will then be left open to any questions visitors may have for you. Does this work for you quinlan?
@ filmpac - mr.t and I are in conversation about Elmer Bernstein's "Cast a Giant Shadow". We both want it, but before I committ to buying the rather expensive Lp, thought I'd ask you to have a go at finding it. Please. :) I'll never forget the run on Bernsteins you did for us back on nomwl1's. (yes, i'm kissin your behind a bit, but you earned it!)
@ isbum - I can do you either an 11-track EMI edition of "Cast A Giant Shadow", or the 12-track Varese, but not an original LP version. I guess my regulars retired their LP versions when these others were released. FYI, the original LP was quite noisy so is probably difficult to obtain a clean rip, the EMI edition was only released in England and is probably safe to share under your guidelines, and the Varese edition is the same as the LP (but cleaned up) with no additional cues (master tapes were lost), but is still in-print at Varese. Also, from an Intrada soundtrack forum, comes this... "Varese Sarabande issues the original album on CD in their limited collector’s series. Sound is easily superior to the truncated CD release issued by EMI in England some years back." Confused now? Let me know if you want the Varese, I guess I'll do it as a private share.
@ quinlan - That spreadsheet is a thing of beauty, many thanks for taking the time:))
@ isbum - As for the Greg war coming here, you da man, just keep dumping 'em
@ isbum Happy to see that what I've prepared for everyone's benefit seems to be appreciated. What you're suggesting looks very fine. Yes it would be a good idea to put the link of the "link list" somewhere along with the may 07 archive link. I'm working at the moment on the June list. It's much more convenient to build it up gradually on a daily basis. Another thing that I did not precise earlier: I cannot guarantee that ALL links are active; I did not test them. It just has the ambition to list all links offered during a given month. It's like when we visit a new blog. It probably happened to all of us, when we discover a new blog which has been on for several months. The first thing we want to do is to explore the archives to see what we may have missed and that's a long job to achieve. With the list the way I prepared it, it makes it easier and if one needs more details, it's easy with the date posted and the uploader name to go back to the relevant part of the blog and read the comments. One last thing, ALL your jazzy posts are GREAT!!! Thank you very very much.
@ quinlan - I have provided a post for easy access to your archive. May I suggest that you present the download link to these files with a description of various ways to search and view them.
Perhaps this would be a good place for people to report expired or deleated links.
Also, if people have questions about the material, it's content, or suggestions for you, it is an operational forum for this as well.
I've updated my request list- I thought I'd share it:
The Caper of the Golden Bull/The Perils of Pauline CSI Complete Score Don't Make Waves (Vic Mizzy) E.T. (2 Disc) (John Williams) Ewoks Five Weeks In a Balloon (Paul Sawtell) From the Earth to the Moon: 1968 (Michael Kamen) From the Earth to the Moon: Voyage Dans La Lune (Michael Kamen) High Crimes (Graeme Revell) Island At the Top of the World (Maurice Jarre) Jurassic Park (complete) (John Williams) Miracle On 34th Street & Come to the Stable (Percepto Release) North By Northwest (Film Version) (Bernard Herrmann) Orchestra Wives (Alfred Newman) The Notebook (Complete Score) (Aaron Zigman) Pleasantville (Complete Score) (Randy Newman) Serendipity (Complete) (Alan Silvestri) The Seven Year Itch (Alfred Newman) Space Cowboys Complete (Lennie Niehaus) Space Jam Complete (James Newton Howard) Stir of Echoes Complete (James Newton Howard) Take Me Out to the Ballgame (1949) The Trouble With Angels (Jerry Goldsmith) Twilight Zone (Season 1) (Jerry Goldsmith) Twilight Zone (Season 2) (Jerry Goldsmith)
Tony posted Space Cowboys here on May 3, I suspect that is the complete score, only one I have ever seen. I can do Seven Year Itch, but it's very short if I recall. And I've just found Pleasantville complete that amadues also requested, will be coming soon.
Here’s something completely different. Something I’ve never shared because, frankly my dear, I didn’t know how to handle the technical aspects. But I futzed around and figured it out with a couple small extra steps.
CINEMA PARADISO is a multi-media DVD presentation I created of over 600 spectacular movie posters, both old and new, classic and crass. I named the film CINEMA PARADISO in honor of that marvelous movie and provided a background soundtrack of great cues from some of Ennio Morricone’s fabulous films.
Couple extra steps after downloading: 1)Change part 01 file designation from .exe to .rar 2)Extract as you normally would multi-part file. 3)There is a folder within the resulting download folder. This is what you can either play, or burn unto a DVD to see film on any DVD player.
@ sallie "North by Northwest" by Bernard Herrmann * 50 tracks @320
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ET42T84I
@ tony - WOW! Stanley Myers score for "Cold Heaven" has a beautiful theme. Very unusual score as well. At times like Vangelis, some creepy stuff too. What the hell kind of a movie was this? ..going to IMDB now. :)
@ jeffy - Most of your John Barry requests have never had an official release, just so you know. But I did come up with a couple, one from LP and one movie rip with sound effects...
@ sallie & breton girl - Presumably from the Sound Stage release mentioned on Soundtrack Collector, sorry but I don't have the other tracks from the other films...
@ ghoulies - The link Quinlan gave you is certainly for an "It" score, 15 tracks, and not the one track suite available on a compilation. Please let me know if you cannot access demonoid and require a re-up. Also, I don't have any of the other scores you requested (and to be honest I doubt some of them exist), but I do have a Ghoulies IV promo by Chuck Cirino (another bloke like Michael J Lewis who releases his own work as promo scores). I'll try and get that up soon if you want it.
@ the jazz crew - Man In The Middle up there comes with a recommendation for you guys, some great old standards.
@Ruggo Could you please let me have the Password for Michael Collins. Thanks
For any other John Barry fans out there, this is a delicious quality 'Follow Me' score from 1972, never released on CD and ripped from my own private CD with full artwork, I hope you enjoy.
To the person who wanted Die Hard shall post it in 24 hours.
Onto something else...
I have a request, don't make them very often but this is something I truly love (actually I truly love half the score, the synth 80s bass stuff is a bit.. well... I can still listen to it!) by the name of:
Runaway Train - Trevor Jones.
I take it that this may be a tad obscure but I do love it.
On the subject of obscure - does anyone have a copy of the Buckaroo Banzai score that *doesn't* have distortion all over it? I have two, and both go into full redline breakup whenever it gets full on.
Including Seance On A Wet Afternoon Mister Moses - Suite Persuaders! (TV) They Might Be Giants
These are just held on file from my PC, I do have originals of most of JB's stuff, but just don't have the time to rip at the moment, I also have Mary Queen of Scotts, which I will attempt to rip some time in the next couple of days.
I've taken Ennioman's tweaking of FAMILY PLOT and done some more tweaking, and it sounds great - to my ears anyway. I've sweetened the sound and added a bit of ambience giving it a more "present" sound.
FAMILY PLOT "Third Time's the Charm Edition" - John Williams
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IGAHWXYU
@ Ennioman/Clint's Archive, not trying to take away from what you've done at all. Let's consider this a blind colloboration. :-D
@ isbum & ennioman Thank you so much for all your efforts on the John Barrys, but they're not for me. Out of my overflowing gratitude I was reposting Isidingo's requests from page 1. That said, I'm glad that you could get so much for him! What a community. :)
3lm3r B3rnst3in's CAST A GIANT SHADOW: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MDMCK14A
(and...getting back into that 2'007' groove---you knew i would take the bait at that didn't you isbum?)
Ray Martin & His Orchestra's GOLDFINGER (and Music From Other James Bond Thrillers): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UVS5Q971
(unfortunately the James Bond Theme is attacked by SPECTRE agents about a third of the way in BUT it's still worth it just for those crazy/cool female vocals!)
BTW, bit of a strange request this, but I am a very keen collector of Radio spots (the old ads they used to run for motion pictures on the radio) I know Spartacus posted a link back in the May requests, which I already have. I wondered if anybody here also has any collections or original vinyls that they have ripped? I have quite a few I have to say, so might be worth mentioning first before anyone uploads anything. There are some floating around on blogs, b-movie horror, blaxploitation etc which I also have, but always looking for classic hollywood stuff, especially from the silver age from the big studios etc.
Thanks guys for the John Barry's upped so far. FYI, Filmpac - I also have "Follow Me" which I got a while ago from "YDHTV" THe sound quality is god and sounds like CD quality. Is this the same one you have or do you want me to up it.?
Clint's Archive.: Thanks for those tracks. i will look forward to Mary Queen of Scots.
Isbum: I have a 50 track version of Herrmann's "North By Northwest" which runs for about 64m54s considerably longer than the 37 minute Complete score. I got this some time last from Lazars Lounge. If you're interested let me know.
I've read somewhere that someone is looking after "Dark of the Sun" by Jac... Lous... :
here is my own rip @320 of the CD "Les plus belles musiques de Jac... Lous..." : - Dark of the Sun (1-4) - Thierry la Fronde (5-6) - Rocambole (7-9) - A belles dents (10-11) - Lagerdère (12-13) - Tu seras terriblement Gentille (14-16) - Les Charmes de l'été (17) - Jeux de massacres (18) - Snow Job (19) - Vidocq (20-21) - Un chien de saison (22) - Boulevard des Assassins (23) - Les poneys sauvages (24) - Un Château au Soleil (25-27) - Le Peuple Singe (28-29) - Pulsion (30).
@ ennioman---merci por le Goldfinger en francais (sorry to all our french friends out there---i don't speak a word) but that track WAS cool!
a few months ago i posted a Bond thing i had compiled of different artists trying their best to land the brass ring and get the nod at a Bond title track. not sure if you saw it so here it is again:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LJ01W1NE
which reminds me---supposedly back in the late 80's when Michael Kamen was doing the Bond films he had Eric Clapton take a go at The James Bond Theme. has anyone else ever heard this and if it's true---does anyone HAVE it? i'd love to hear it.
Hey Rocket, thought you'd get a kick outta that little diamond.
I have a whole file dedicated to Bond related tracks which currently stands at 542 MB (now that's not including any of the scores, official, extended or whatever)these are just covers, remixes, 12" versions etc. Among them are 24 versions marked James Bond Theme, but sad to report non of them are marked as Michael Kamen or Eric Clapton, which is a shame as I'd like to think he had a crack, considering the close relationship he had with Clapton, Edge of Darkness, Lethal Weapon etc.
I do have almost everything from Clapton, Cream, Blind Faith et al, so I will make a point of revisiting God's collection, and will let you know if I find anything. I will be downloading your post, just as soon as the deluxe version of The Great Escape has finished (man, MU is as slow as hell this evening)and will be adding it all to the file marked 'Top Secret' ;-)
@Rocket you got me really curious about this Clapton track, and it's not good news.. 'It was originally planned to use a new version of the James Bond film (LTK) as the main theme. It was recorded by Eric Clapton and Vic Flick (the guitarist on the original version) but it was not used and has never been released.
Would you happen to have a line on his soundtrack work for Whitley Streiber's COMMUNION, the Colm Meaney film THE VAN or a release of LETHAL WEAPON 4 (I've already heard the DVD-rip with sound fx and soft bits of dialogue)...
I have a rip of his EDGE OF DARKNESS ep. Would you have one from a CD source?
Very good! Family Plot sounds great! Between you and Ennioman, you could put out an official release- it's great. Thanks to both of you for all of your hard work on this treasure. I must have listened to this score 20 times since I downloaded it the first time!
I'm sorry for the confusion. I believe the one that you are offering him is the one he shared with me. I'm trying to find the version that is from the islolated score from the dvd. It is a 37 track 50.57 score. Here's the link to the back cover: http://plissken.free.fr/Covers/N/NorthbyNorthwest%20bck.jpg
If anyone knows where I can find this one, let me know. Thanks!
Everyone, sorry for the deletions, I just can't type today- I'm tired, but done with teaching for the summer- yea!!!
@ janus23 - Please, may we have some more goodies from your collection? I need a dose of the groovy, sexy, and dark Euro-scores.
@ ruggo - O-13 has been posted here but get it today, I don't really want something that new hanging around as it might draw unwanted attention to our house.
@ mel - Like seeing you happy. Do you have any Bunny Berrigan (isp?) "I Can't Get Started" and the likes you could share? Also, was their a another Gil Melle in your collection that you were going to post? I have the first one with the "Robot" track on it already.
Many thanks for the kind words, glad you liked the Foreign stuff. Thanks for the mastering compliment too, I try to make sure that my vinyl rips sounds pretty much as perfect as they can. I'll see if I can find that Nicolai request for you, I'm pretty sure I have it somewhere!
@isbum
I'll try to get some more stuff up this week, just been really busy lately!
Thanks for your comments re: FAMILY PLOT. I, too, cannot stop listening to it. My favorite soundtrack year of 1976 is alive and kickin'! And 1978 wasn't so bad, either!!
Yes, the NBN you are looking for is indeed from the isolated DVD. I have the DVD but have yet to rip the music onto disc. One of these days. Interestingly, the isolated DVD track is missing one cue, "The Matchbook". While it plays in the film, it's completely MIA on the other track. Weird. However, that cue IS available on the Rhino CD.
@ bistis6 and sallie - My post is the Rhin@. What blows me away about this score is what Herrmann accomplishes in one minute or less! Miniture soundtracks themselves.
ON the LLDS home page there is a dowload link for score selections from KING KONG by howard shore , this does not sound like shore at all can anyone confirm this?
I seemn to remember reading that its one of those fake score releases?
I have a 26 tracks bootleg of Family Plot by John Williams. First I thought that it was the same that was here but the track title and the time duration are different!
Thanks for the info on North By Northwest. I too have the dvd, but haven't recorded the tracks. I truly enjoy the 50 track version, indeed, this score really shows how much of a musical genius Herrmann was. Hitchcock is my favorite director, and it's just amazing at how much Herrmann's scores add to the ambience of Hitchcock's masterpieces.
My favorite Hitchcock films are all ones in which Herrmann does the score (For the exception of The Birds in which Herrmann was a sound consultant, and Rear Window).
@ amadues - From the liner notes, a private pressing made for The Max Steiner Music Society. The score was transferred to tape from the acetate discs owned by the composer, then edited to make this recording. Running time of 86 minutes, comprising 4 suites, and presented here in 2 parts...
@ goldiemusic - Filmpac is ashamed to admit that he unwittingly also posted a Shore Kong. If it's the same, it be none other than selections from John Frizzell's "Primeval".

It was

If somemone have it, share it please.
Thanks.

Thank you so much for sharing Pete Jolly's Little Bird.
I've actually been looking for this - it's on of my old favorites!

This is a rumor that I heard from another soundtrack collector, and I thought I'd post it, just for interest if nothing else.
It is going around that Family Plot will be one of FSM next release. Now wouldn't that be great????
Keep your fingers crossed!
Also-
Does anyone know of any bootleg, etc. of Frank DeVol's Boys Night Out? I wish this would get a dvd release!
I like that rumor a LOT!
However, Ford Thaxton is also rumored to be producing this as well. I hope it's FSM, they always grace film music with the utmost attention to detail and care.
Fingers crossed now.
I was also given the track names for the last tracks on the score for Family Plot:
27- The Graveyard (Alternate)
28- Family Plot Theme (Pop Version)
29- Maloney's Death (Alternate)
30- Blanche Meets Adamson/The Bishop (Alternate)
31- Revelations (Alternate)

BTW Rocket - The 007 in this post is for you. The Summer of Bond is here!
@ Isbum: wow, dude, it's a great post! I've got this from a blog i couldn't remember (ages ago), and the music is just great!!! :)
Anyone have:

In view of the approaching release of RATATOUILLE... does anyone know whether there exists a promo album for Michael Giacchino's SKY HIGH? I enjoyed the score immensely (the film, too, by the way, surprisingly decent), but the official soundtrack album didn't include even one second of score music.
Today, four films with a little weight and a theme Some great and stirring music, well worth the time and effort.

Was there ever any type of release of Elmer Bernstein score from "The Great Santini"?
Does anyone have the soundtrack to The Natural? Thanks!
@ skyrider- I don't think so.
"Bloodbrothers" from around the same period, also didn't get a proper release.
Perhaps Elmer was too buisy with his re-recordings, or the studio's just had no interest in releasing them. I dunno.

I second that request of the rejected James Horner Score to the movie YOUNG GUNS.
I've heard that it's more of a traditional western score than the music in the final version of the film.
Thanks.
@ isbum
I've been rather silent lately because I was working on a time consuming project relating to this blog which I'm planning to disclose by tomorrow.
Cheers!
@ mel
Sometime ago you indicated that there was a working link at nomwl1's place for Elmer Bernstein's "The Silencers" (October 26, 2006), but I was totally unable to find it.
Could you please kindly guide me to where the link is (which page or which thread,) or just give me the link; I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks a lot pal
Hello,
I'm looking for the animated film score to " When the Wind Blows". Thanks.
@ quinlan
Hi pal, you've been conspicuous by your absence for the past few days - good to see you back.
The link for The Silencers was not in one of the request pages but in the main section.
I've tried copying the hyperlink to here but can't get it to work.
The easiest way to find it is to use the blog's search in the main section for Silencers and scroll down. The rapidshare link is dead but the megaupload still works.
If you have difficulties let me know and I'll reup it for you.
@ Jean: ravie de te voir ici... :)

@ Mel & Rocket-
At the moment I'm having trouble with Randy Newman's The Natural. When I attempt to extract with WINRAR, the dignostic message box comes up that it could not extract any files because "The system cannot find the path specified".
Any hints on how to correct this? I tried repairing the archive, but that didn't work. I know it's not exceeding the character requirement, so I'm baffled.
Any help would be appreciated!
I'm looking for:
Emmanuelle 4 by Michel Legrand
Emmanuelle 5 by Pierre Bachelet
Thanks in advance!
@ sallie
Sorry sallie, I tried it now myself and got the same result as you. I really didn't expect that to happen.
I'll continue searching for other links and if I find anything that works I'll let you know.
@ sallie
I have a plan to rescue these files for you, but it's going to take me a few hours.
Hopefully I'll get it all to you by the end of the day.
@ sallie
You have to extract the file to another folder. I guess that the name of the specific folder contains caracters that windows will not accept (like : or "). I allready had that problem in the past.
You have to choose "do not extract pathname"
Good luck!
Can anyone do me the pleasure of uploading Loek Dikker's score to BODY PARTS? :)

REQUEST: ANY MORE VOLUMES??????????????
@ isbum (& everyone)
There has been some discussions recently on how to archive the month of May data.
But I'm finally quite happy of the result which you may find here:
http://rapidshare.com/files/35015249/Isbumplace-May_2007_Links.rar
Wow, Quinlan, i'm impressed!!! :)
Couldn't believe we share so much in a single month, gosh...
Thanks a lot for your job, it may be helpful for some people... :)

@ sallie
Hang in there, it's uploading for you now.
Should be ready in around half an hour - these uploads take such a long time.....
@ Mel-
Thanks friend. I e-mailed you back, by the way. I'm enjoying Murderer's Row now!
@ sallie
Here, at last is The Natural:
http://rapidshare.com/files/35040167/RNN.rar.html
Best of luck for the wonder years compilation!
@ Mel-
You are wonderful. This will help end my soundtrack with a bang!
@ ghoulies
Reur request for Stephen King's "It" OST by Richard Bellis.
Benoit provided a link for it in this blog on May 28.
Here it is:
http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/1161273/2173098/
Be aware that it's a torrent file.
Hope you know how it works.
@ Breton Girl
I know that this comment section deals with music... however I post here my blog adress, where I sometime post covers I made with Photoshop.
The last one I made is for the future Pixar : Ratatouille, by Michael Giacchino. I also worked on soundtracks like Harry Potter 5, Shrek the Third, Happy Feet, Van Helsing, Brother Bear, M.I.3 and Transformers
I hope you'll like those cover arts :
http://lescoversdetom.blogspot.com/
;)
Wow - you guys are all over it! Very cool. Strumming through these posts is a good way to escape the fierce heat outside. Thanks all.
-Jazz
@ Breton Girl

Thank you torlac, and welcome to our home new friend!

@ quinlan
Amazing job on that spread sheet, dude! Thanks for taking the time and effort. Outstanding!!
I love this place.
@ isbum
Happy to see that what I've prepared for everyone's benefit seems to be appreciated.

Funny, nobody wanted this badly enough to tell me that the link was incomplete. You're either too nice or you all have it already.

@ Jeffy - "The Tamarind Seed" coming up soon.
Still after Loek Dikker's score to BODY PARTS ... :)

Couple extra steps after downloading:
1)Change part 01 file designation from .exe to .rar
2)Extract as you normally would multi-part file.
3)There is a folder within the resulting download folder. This is what you can either play, or burn unto a DVD to see film on any DVD player.

@ tony - WOW! Stanley Myers score for "Cold Heaven" has a beautiful theme. Very unusual score as well.
At times like Vangelis, some creepy stuff too. What the hell kind of a movie was this?
..going to IMDB now. :)

jeffy is the Adventurer another title for Follow Me?
If it is, I have it.
@isbum
Hi mate, The Adventurer 1972 was a UK TV series, Follow me (also from 1972) was a feature starring Mia Farrow and Topol.
Ennioman
@ jeffy - Most of your John Barry requests have never had an official release, just so you know. But I did come up with a couple, one from LP and one movie rip with sound effects...
John Barry, Lionel Bart & others "Man In The Middle" (1964), LP @192:
http://rapidshare.com/files/35149861/JB-ManInTheMiddle.rar
John Barry "They Might Be Giants" (1971), movie rip @VBR:
http://rapidshare.com/files/35135195/JB-TheyMightBeGiants.rar
@ sallie & breton girl - Presumably from the Sound Stage release mentioned on Soundtrack Collector, sorry but I don't have the other tracks from the other films...
Alfred Newman "The Seven Year Itch" (1955), @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/35140849/AN-TheSevenYearItch.rar
Filmpac, THANKOO!!! :))
@Ruggo
Could you please let me have the Password for Michael Collins.
Thanks
For any other John Barry fans out there, this is a delicious quality 'Follow Me' score from 1972, never released on CD and ripped from my own private CD with full artwork, I hope you enjoy.

Hi all (as always),
To the person who wanted Die Hard shall post it in 24 hours.
Hope there is one!
Filmpac, it's nice, but I already have aGhoulies IV score, and the 16 mn suite of the It score. Thanks anyway !
I would like to get the full and limited release of Film Score Monthly & Falling Mountain Music, of August 2003.
Here's some music for the John Barry films and TV you are looking for:
http://rapidshare.com/files/35170409/John_Barry_tracks.zip.html
Including
Seance On A Wet Afternoon
Mister Moses - Suite
Persuaders! (TV)
They Might Be Giants
These are just held on file from my PC, I do have originals of most of JB's stuff, but just don't have the time to rip at the moment, I also have Mary Queen of Scotts, which I will attempt to rip some time in the next couple of days.
Ennioman
@ filmpac-
Thanks for The Seven Year Itch, and directing me to a couple of the other links- I appreciate it.
@ isbum-
Thank you for North By Northwest. Do you happen to have the 37 track version as well? I think it was taken from the score track on the dvd. Thanks!
Here's the back cover:

Everyone,
I've taken Ennioman's tweaking of FAMILY PLOT and done some more tweaking, and it sounds great - to my ears anyway. I've sweetened the sound and added a bit of ambience giving it a more "present" sound.

@ Ennioman/Clint's Archive, not trying to take away from what you've done at all. Let's consider this a blind colloboration. :-D
@ isbum & ennioman
Thank you so much for all your efforts on the John Barrys, but they're not for me. Out of my overflowing gratitude I was reposting Isidingo's requests from page 1. That said, I'm glad that you could get so much for him! What a community.
:)
Hi Everyone---
Here are a couple of original vinyl rips @ 320
3lm3r B3rnst3in's CAST A GIANT SHADOW:

(and...getting back into that 2'007' groove---you knew i would take the bait at that didn't you isbum?)
Ray Martin & His Orchestra's GOLDFINGER (and Music From Other James Bond Thrillers):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UVS5Q971
(unfortunately the James Bond Theme is attacked by SPECTRE agents about a third of the way in BUT it's still worth it just for those crazy/cool female vocals!)

Thanks Rocket, here, have a giggle on me..

Hoping someone can help.
Many thanks
Ennioman

Thanks guys for the John Barry's
upped so far.
@paulz
Here's BUCKAROO BANZAI
hope it's a better copy than your previous ones.

Hi Everyone---
@ ennioman---merci por le Goldfinger en francais
(sorry to all our french friends out there---i don't speak a word) but that track WAS cool!
a few months ago i posted a Bond thing i had compiled of different artists trying their best to land the brass ring and get the nod at a Bond title track. not sure if you saw it so here it is again:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LJ01W1NE
which reminds me---supposedly back in the late 80's when Michael Kamen was doing the Bond films he had Eric Clapton take a go at The James Bond Theme. has anyone else ever heard this and if it's true---does anyone HAVE it? i'd love to hear it.
Thanks,
All The Best,
Rocket From Mars
@ isbum
You sure know how to find them for me, don't you?
Andre Previn / Yitzchak Perlman's A Different Kind Of Blues is a class act.
Thanks a ton.
Ennioman
@Rocket you got me really curious about this Clapton track, and it's not good news..
'It was originally planned to use a new version of the James Bond film (LTK) as the main theme. It was recorded by Eric Clapton and Vic Flick (the guitarist on the original version) but it was not used and has never been released.
Ennioman :-(
Ah, a couple of fellow Eric Claptonians 'eh?
Would you happen to have a line on his soundtrack work for Whitley Streiber's COMMUNION, the Colm Meaney film THE VAN or a release of LETHAL WEAPON 4 (I've already heard the DVD-rip with sound fx and soft bits of dialogue)...
I have a rip of his EDGE OF DARKNESS ep. Would you have one from a CD source?
--mcc
@ Bistis6
Very good! Family Plot sounds great! Between you and Ennioman, you could put out an official release- it's great. Thanks to both of you for all of your hard work on this treasure. I must have listened to this score 20 times since I downloaded it the first time!
@ Isidingo
I'm sorry for the confusion. I believe the one that you are offering him is the one he shared with me. I'm trying to find the version that is from the islolated score from the dvd. It is a 37 track 50.57 score. Here's the link to the back cover:
http://plissken.free.fr/Covers/N/NorthbyNorthwest%20bck.jpg
If anyone knows where I can find this one, let me know. Thanks!
Everyone, sorry for the deletions, I just can't type today- I'm tired, but done with teaching for the summer- yea!!!
@ quinlan - Where did you go?
@ janus23 - Please, may we have some more goodies from your collection? I need a dose of the groovy, sexy, and dark Euro-scores.
@ ruggo - O-13 has been posted here but get it today, I don't really want something that new hanging around as it might draw unwanted attention to our house.
@ mel - Like seeing you happy.
Do you have any Bunny Berrigan (isp?)
"I Can't Get Started" and the likes you could share?
Also, was their a another Gil Melle in your collection that you were going to post? I have the first one with the "Robot" track on it already.
@ sallie - Don't worry about deletions my tuckered teacher.
Isbum cleans up the chalk-board from time to time. :)
200!
@3410
@isbum
I'll try to get some more stuff up this week, just been really busy lately!
Cheers JP
@ sallie
Hi Folks
ON the LLDS home page there is a dowload link for score selections from KING KONG by howard shore , this does not sound like shore at all can anyone confirm this?
I seemn to remember reading that its one of those fake score releases?
Thanks
Hi guys,
I have a 26 tracks bootleg of Family Plot by John Williams.
First I thought that it was the same that was here but the track title and the time duration are different!
I'll post it soon!
@ Isbum & Bistis6
Thanks for the info on North By Northwest. I too have the dvd, but haven't recorded the tracks. I truly enjoy the 50 track version, indeed, this score really shows how much of a musical genius Herrmann was. Hitchcock is my favorite director, and it's just amazing at how much Herrmann's scores add to the ambience of Hitchcock's masterpieces.
My favorite Hitchcock films are all ones in which Herrmann does the score (For the exception of The Birds in which Herrmann was a sound consultant, and Rear Window).
I can't resist!
The Plot thickens. ;)
The mythical King Kong score has returned, to be shot down from the Empire State Building once more.
Ship to Shore..their ain't no score. ;)
Giddy
@ amadues - From the liner notes, a private pressing made for The Max Steiner Music Society. The score was transferred to tape from the acetate discs owned by the composer, then edited to make this recording. Running time of 86 minutes, comprising 4 suites, and presented here in 2 parts...
Max Steiner "Since You Went Away' (1944), LP @320:

http://rapidshare.com/files/35190702/MS-SinceYouWentAway_Part2.rar
@ goldiemusic - Filmpac is ashamed to admit that he unwittingly also posted a Shore Kong. If it's the same, it be none other than selections from John Frizzell's "Primeval".
