@ quinlan I agree with what you say, especially depending on the type of music. A good 320 rip will, more often than not, suffice for most listening purposes. For the invitation, i only need from you an e-mail address that you can access. I did not find yours on the "private-share" area. If you prefer not to list it here, just e-mail me (you can find mine in "private-share' area. The only requirements on the related jazz sites is participation in the form of feedback and comments. Those that remain silent are usually booted.
Thanks SO much for uploading the second disc of the Black Cauldron! :D
@ Everyone,
I’ve been checking here practically every day since I first posted and I’ve yet to come across a requested score that I could possibly contribute! Most of the scores seem to be VERY obscure, in some cases I haven’t even ever heard of the films!
But once I get my collection in order (some major tidying needs to be done to file names and tags) I will post a list of my promos, bootlegs and OOPs scores. Hopefully someone will find one among them they’ve been searching high and low for! Adios
@ janus2810 - Could you give a jazz insrumental for The Jazz Project? Reza and segroeg put one in, howz about you and agent double represent the VP crew? Quidtum, you too friend.
Hello my friend, firstly, please don't look at it as a 'request list' as such, as I think I said, any of the listed would be cool.. I certainly wouldn't expect anyone to sit down and fill each and every one of these. Please ignore comps if they are listed there I have several comps and a box set of CD's. Sure I could live with 128 b/r, no problem at all, if any are higher naturally I would welcome. And please as and when and on your own time bud, certainly no rush at all, just want to really fatten up my Sinatra sounds from this period..
I'm a little speechless about this post. So let's just go with this. The movie's got Steve Austin, lots of plastic fish on wires, and um, disco. Whatthe??
I love this comment from one user on IMDB... "Watching Margeaux Hemingway in this movie is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. Her lisp and stone-faced moroseness makes Lee Majors' eyebrow look like Marlon Brando..."
@ 3410 - Thanks for your G&M Il Magnifico, a much more conventional score than this one:)
@ manucosma - Listed on Soundtrack Collector as having been released on LP, but I've never seen a copy for sale anywhere. For mine, this is a movie rip, even though the track listing does indeed match. WARNING: Contains dialogue, but enjoy anyhow...
@ isbum Reur comment of September 06 @ 11:53 where I understand you're asking me to archive something. Do you refer to the comment of 3410 just above giving some indications to scoredaddy as to how to properly make LP rips?
@ quinlan - I can be confusing to myself. After a 2nd readthrough what I was speaking about was the wealth of classical music links that would become available to those who discover them in the upcoming months archives. I'm not even sure that makes it clearer. Does it?
@ isbum No problem boss. ALL links appearing in this blog whether they are for soundtracks, jazz or classical music are duly reported in the monthly list.
I'm trying to retrieve my jaw from the floor right now - I can't thank you both enough, you have no idea how badly I've wanted to hear this score apart from the film, and to get this on such a rotten day....thank you both so much, you have made my week!!!
@ filmpac, I nearly attached a "cheese" warning to "Magnifico" (and "Carambola", too). To hear it described as "much more conventional" than "Killer Fish" made me approach "Killer Fish" with some trepidation. ;)
Here's some disco silliness back at you. Rip of monaural LP @320 (not mine):
On closer inspection, "Amori miei" may not actually be monaural. How to say? It's been "recorded" in mono (all the clicks, and everything else, is dead centre), but can't say whether this was a mistake or if it was done because the LP itself was mono. Seems unlikely, for the period. So, (rhetorically speaking) who knows?
Thank you too for "The Young Lions". Wonderfully percussive start, but I agree that it never guite maintains that standard. Nice to have some more Friedhofer though.
We have a new member of our music community, SCI-FI SCORES blog has just started up and looks like it could be a good place if he can get some "publicity" so drop by and help out a newbie with his requests.
I've seen some requests that i could fullfill, but it's hard to scroll all the page to find it.
Could you just put the word "request" before the title you're looking for, because there's a tip, typing "Ctrl F" in a page, you can find a word that matches (for instance "request") :)
@ Segroeg, thanks for the kind offer on the Emanuelle, I just realized when I went back that I have the two that the doctor posted, I don't know which ones you have, I think I'm still missing Il MOndo Dei Sensei Di Emanuelle by Nico Fidenco as well, Pretty obscure I know.
@ Ennioman I might be able to help out with some of the Sinatra stuff, I pretty have every studio recording he ever did, pretty huge task to up it all, but, I can get started on it next week if you want. I have the three big boxsets, complete Columbia, Capitol and Reprise studio recording, totals somewhere around 50 CD's I think. JP
A couple more additions to our Rosenthal collections.
IMDB lists Rosenthal as the main composer, but Soundtrack Collector only credits him as "additional music". Either way, this is one remarkable score...
Alec Guinness and Gina Lollobrigida star in a British version of one of those French bedroom farces, full of sneaking down hallways and near misses. The perfect music to play on your next secret rendezvous...
PS. Hotel Paradiso is a CD rip, but I used the original LP cover from Soundtrack Collector instead. It's ever so much prettier. Sorry, no full scans on this one.
@ isbum - Thanks for the re-upped Friedhofers mate. Wondering how the heck I missed them first time around!
@ janus That's very kind of you (on the Sinatra). How about I do the Capitol, you do the Reprise, and we can split the Columbia. I already posted the Dorsey's here (links are still active). How does that sound?
If you're looking for any Sinatra concerts, I have an extensive collection of those as well.
That is really very good of you, what a fantastic collection! I'm sure Scoredaddy would appreciate any help, but of course I would not want to step on anybody's toes.. I really appreciate everyone's terrific help on this site..
A p2p chum is looking for this, if anyone can help. He's a stickler for 320 bitrate, so if somebody has the CD and could rip, would be much appreciated by him and me.
My p2p crew seem to think I am the go-to guy for rarities. Can anybody help out on any of these? This list from a bloke who has helped me fill quite a few requests here, so anything we can turn up for him would be much appreciated...
Requests: Andre Hossein - Une Corde, Un Colt Complete - 24 tracks - 40.47 mins
Anton Garcia Abril - Texas, Addio 2 CD - 27 + 13 - 62.49 mins
Carlo Savina - Comin at Ya ! - 13 tracks
Gianni Ferrio - Un Dollaro Bucato -25 tracks - 44.38 mins
Stelvio Cipriani - Blindman No SFX bootleg - 24 tracks - 48.04 mins
Stelvio Cipriani - The Bounty Killer - 34 tracks - 58.05 mins
Nico Fidenco - Plazo Para Morir aka All'Ombra di una Colt - 25 tracks - 36.06 min
Nico Fidenco - Uno Di Più All'Inferno - new gdm
Nico Fidenco, Gianni Dell'orso - John il Bastrado - 19 tracks
@ Ennioman - I think most of those requests are official versions, haven't really had a chance to check them all out yet either. He has already got Blindman off me, which I did point out was the only official release listed on Soundtrack Collector.
Thanks for The Concert John Barry link, but...the link doesn't appear to be working...drat! Is it incomplete? I'm salivating at the thought of hearing that concert version of Midnight Cowboy!
I'm right here looking on. As I have uploading problems I am loath to jump in with offers to help, as much as I'd like to (I too have all the Columbia, and just about all the Capitol and Reprise FS's). Nice work, scoredaddy, and you too, JP.
I can upload only with rapdishare and each CD takes up to three hours - while you guys don't seem to have any problems in that regard. So I'll leave it to you!
Sorry to harp on about the John Barry LP, but do you know what? I think this version of "The Me I Never Knew" (the last part of the Alice in Wonderland Suite)is quite possibly the most sublime few minutes of John Barry there is. And that arrangement of Midnight Cowboy brings to mind some of the more emotional moments of "The Lion in Winter" score, particularly "Eleanors Arrival at Chinon". Anyway, thanks so very much.
Steve, please, harp away my friend, Barry has been such a part of my life since a very early age. I've been lucky enough to have seen him in concert, and it was the beautiful thing, sorry it is not the cleanest of rips, only available from vinyl and oddly never released on CD..
On the subject of John Barry, I wondered if anyone was interested in a home made comp I made of some of his most beautiful (IMO) tracks. It was done for a friend of mine, who, at the time was suffering from a Brain tumor, which effected her hearing and was more acute at night when trying to sleep, the quietness of night just made the ringing in her ear even more prominent then when surrounded by every day sounds.. She asked me if I had some beautiful music that she could listen to and focus upon when sleeping, at which stage I made this CD for her. She was so moved by the music and it proved to be the solution to the problem.
I don't want to ramble on about the story behind it, but just thought it would provide some history and explain where the inspiration came from.
If you care to believe the desktop Ebert's at IMDB, this soundtrack comes from a very good film. Not listed at Soundtrack Collector even though the composer is.
The score is jazz based and while their's not much of it, it sure fit's nicely among the works of Joe Sample, Lalah Hathaway, Joe Williams and the Basie Band.
I’ve had tinnitus for years. It’s not pleasant and sometimes the worst are those moments before sleep when the noise seems loudest. Would love to hear the John Barry compilation, especially if it provides surcease from constant sound.
@brisco32
In total agreement regarding your comment about THE LOOKOUT. One of the best films I've sen in a long time...and it's on DVD.
I did a little discount-bin diving, so, my recent and following posts will reflect those results.
This could have been just a collection of one-hit wonders, but thanks to the up-tic in Robert Altman's popularity (and new ticker), these can fit nicely in the time capsule marked 1994.
@ ruggo - I'll add my thumbs up to "The Lookout" as well. I love heist films, and this one can take a space next to "Inside Man" as another terrific entry into the genre.
Hey Isbum, I somehow suspect you aren't alone with that smell of fish and cheese. Killer Fish is the second most downloaded post of mine this month. And at current rate of progress it will no doubt occupy #1 before the month is out. Not even the disco health warning I put on it can deter folks!
Thanks for your bargain bin specials, I'm actually quite fond of some various artists jobbies. I'm still seeking Bull Durham, anyone?
I've got a bit of a treat coming up methinks, a Gerald Fried promo from an epic mini-series. Stay tuned.
Isbum, hell yeah, I used to have the "FM" soundtrack too! What a fav it was. If I recall correctly, most of the songs are fairly available, might make it a weekend project to try and roll my own.
@ filmpac - Well, I've stared it down about seven or eight times now at the store, just always got some other itch to scratch..or not enough scratch to itch it.
Here's a promo from a Greg Araki movie I nabbed for 2 ducks.
"Nowhere" 1997 Cd @320 various - see below

feat: Radiohead, Elastica, Hole, Curve, Marilyn Manson, The Chemical Brothers, Massive Attack, Catherine Wheel, you get the picture, right? I was really into a number of these bands up until the backflip I did in 2001.
Now here's what I did, just to see if anyone digs it. It's just a compilation, but I may take other composers that we're not all that familiar with and show their nugget's off isbum mix style.
"The Talented Mr. Umiliani" Various scores, variable bit rate, 30 tracks, about 75 minutes.

* track's are titled but not identified by film titles.
Claus I have just pulled my original CD-r of The Concert and horrified to find that the sound is totally shot..
The upload I did was a back up of this disc I carried out some years ago, and is far better than the CD-r now. (Imagine the quality of The Adventurer, but on all the rest of the tracks..) to make this even worse, I have this doubled on the CD with another very rare Barry Album titled 'Americans' which was a collection of non film music from around the same time, and this is now beginning to show evidence of the same 'disc rot' for want of a better word. So as you can imagine, I'm pretty sad at this prospect. I have not had chance to check out the back up of Americans which sits on my external in the same drive, hopefully it will still be in tact.
I guess this throws up the whole story of cd-r's and in deed their life expectancy. I had probably not played this cd in at least 5 years, but I know I have spent some time in the last 5 years trying to clean a version of the album artwork (a wasted effort now, after the discovery of the disc's music).
This whole story gets worse, as I do not own the original albums, a friend of mine who I have since lost touch with loaned me his original CD-r a long time ago for me to copy, so now as it stands I am also without a good copy. So a request goes out here for
John Barry The Concert Polydor LP
As I type this I have been listening to the 'Americans' back up, which has now reached the last track and seems to have survived in tact, lucky I did a back up of the disc when I did..
Damn. I'm angry at this discovery!
Sorry to all, and if anyone can help on a fresh rip of The Concert it would be very much appreciated.
You won't find the John Addison Film Music on Chandos around here - it's a new release and very much in print. The best you can hope for is to find someone who has it who would share it with you privately.
Thanks for the "Americans" rip, good to hear this again. This blog is an unbelivable resource, I'm amazed at what can be accessed. Does anyone remember the compilation LP's that United Artists brought out in the late 60's/early 70's? There were three volumes of western themes, and various general compilations of original/re-recordings. One I'm searching for is a collection of war themes, "Great War Film Themes" I seem to recall. It had some superb material on here, from "Is Paris Burning" to "The Devils Brigade", "Judgement at Nuremberg" and "Bridge at Remagen" amongst others. Be great to hear this again. Once again thanks to all for your tireless efforts on here. Also, while I'm here, the Johnny Mandel score posted here from "The Sailor who fell from Grace with the Sea" is just great, and well worth a listen.
The "Ghostbusters" back cover that you posted lists 21 tracks. I've got a version with 22 tracks (it's listed as the "Lincoln" bootleg at Soundtrack Collector). Let me know if you want me to upload it.
@ Vinnie: thanks a lot, but i already got the Lincoln bootleg (like the 56 tracks version and the V... club one). I'm really searching for the 21 tracks Ghostbusters score only.
1. The girl with the sun in her hair 1970’s UK TV ad 2. Fun City from Midnight Cowboy 3. Mary’s theme from Mary Queen of Scotts 4. Romance for guitar from Deadfall 5. Brothers from The Lone Ranger 6. @ h2o Reur post of September 14 "La Ballata Di Fiumicino". Is there any artist's name (composer/performer...) that I could mention in the September link list. Thank you for your cooperation
Thanks Izzy. Btw, I'm sure at one time I saw Isaac Hayes' soundtrack to the original Shaft posted somewhere here in the archives, but for the life of me I can't find it! Can you point me in the right direction, please?
@ Wha? How'd you get to be soulbrotha and never been given the Shaft? You probably white as me cracker. Haaaaahaahaaa! Jus' yankin' yo chains soulbrotha. I'd be happy to give you the original Shaft. It's a big one, so, megaUP it will be. ;)
Thank you so much for the reprise set, took me over 3 hours to download 1-5 without a M/U premium account, amazed it all came down on first attempt. I think I'll be pushing my luck to try and capture 6-10 today.. So will be on it first thing in the morning! Can't wait to hear all of this great stuff, the house has been echoing to Sinatra all day! :-)
I would certainly be interested in any concerts. Especially 50's and 60's stuff where the sound quality started to get a bit better.
I think it was you that posted the Film music of Frank Sinatra awhile back? There was a version of That Old Black Magic on there that I had been searching for for YEARS!!! God bless the internet! I thought I would never find that track! Thank you my friend! And if it was someone else that posted that, well, I should thank them! Hell you're all great! Thanks for enriching my musical life so much! JP
NO problem! Glad to spread the Frank around! It's such a great set, took me forever to scrape up the money to buy it, then I had to sell it because I needed the money....... but not before ripping it all! :)
Can I ask, I'm trying to read up on the Reprise collection, I have only so far come across a 4 disc version..and yours is 10 disc? Was there 2 versions of this box set, just trying to file them correctly and wondered are they comps or does the set contain full studio albums..
@ Ennioman - I wouldn't be feeling too bad mate, what survives of the John Barry Concert is outstanding indeedy. I had that James Bond Suite and never knew where it came from, it's been floating as a loose track in my Bond Covers folder for like ever, now it can find its proper home.
Best I can tell, it seems we are only missing some 47 seconds from The Adventurer, and I'll be keeping a sharp eye out for that.
Thanks for sharing it, the other album, and your mix tape too, some nice rarities in there!

Rare promo score by Gerald Fried for an epic ABC television mini-series. If anyone can find a cover pic please to post it here, I've scoured the web to no avail.
Thanks mate, I'm just really pissed about it, you put something on a digital format in the hope that it is going to live on a little longer than that, I think I must have done this some 8-9 years back.. Then you start to think, are any others in my collection that have fallen to the same problem? Do I try out other stuff that I have archived to the same brand of Disc, it's a nightmare scenario.. But will have to check out some of it, guess you can never have enough back up..
How ya doin' friend? Believe it or not, I had this cd out ready to be uploaded at some point in time, but never got around to it. Anyhow, here are the frt and bk covers for it.
Very cool score.
BTW-- the artwork is nothing extraordinary, but it's better than not. :)
@ isbum As I am running behind schedule, I am just discovering today your comments of September 15 where you're asking me why I was keeping posting tracks in the "Jazz Project". You really want to know why? Well it's just because I totally misunderstood the rules and did not know that we were authorised to only one track per individual. To be honest I was just about to post a couple of new ones and had still further ideas to post before the end of the months. In other words: I goofed. Sorry, I won't do it again.
Since I am talking to you, on the preceeding September 15 comment you're posting a corrected link for "Shaft" by David Arnold. But I didn't find the erroneous one which supposedly was posted before. I must be tired. Excuse me...
@ quinlan - You aren't tired, i removed it. Also, not to worry over the added tracks, just tell me which one is your choice. The project stumbled out of the gate but is starting to get very interesting. I am really hoping more of the active ( past and present ) bloggers take part by adding a track to it.
A collection with the names of bloggers we've all gotten great music from on it would make it a nice way to remember these times.
@ parzival Reur post of September 15 "Medal Of Honor". There is a pass mentionned for the first three segments and none for the last one "Front Line". Could kindly confirm that there is no pass required for these last two links. This is for reporting purposes in the September link list. Thank you.
Kind of an aside here, I was jsut reading through the Jazz instrumentals posts and noticed you posted some Vince Guaraldi stuff. The peanuts stuff was not in fact a cover album, he actually wrote the music for the peanuts series. Fairly useless trivia, I only know this because I went hunting for the peanuts theme before the internet really took off and found the cheet music for it..... composed by Vince, had never heard of him at the time, but he's written some great tunes over the years! JP
@ thxjay - This one's for your Crime Lounge mate, but posted here for our Franklynot brothers. John Cacavas conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in a great collection...
@ janus There are not to many acceptable sounding recordings of 50's/60's Sinatra concerts. Most of what I have is from the 70's onward. If you are still interested, I can make a list for you. I have approx 15 concerts.
Emanuelle Perche' Violenza Alle Donna? http://www.zshare.net/download/3891934296cbcd/
@soulbrotha: I thought I had 'Hero Ain't Nothin' but a Sandwich' but as I searched my archives it turns out I was thinking of "You are what You Eat", which has a decent jazz-funk track towards the end (#11, 'Painting for the Freakout').
@ filmpac - All it took was knowing that you liked this record too. If you can friggin' believe it, this would be the 30th anniversary of it's release.
@ quinlan Sorry for "La Ballata Di Fiumicino". It's copmosed by Almando Trovajoli from "La Bambole". Thank you for the regular updated Excel Link Lists.
@ isbum Fantastico Bongusto! Gracie.
@ All It may be the beginning of what we call "Lounge".

@mp: 'aaaaaaawwwwwwoooooooooooo!' do you want to hear a scary story kiddies? so scary it'll---it'll make ALL of your hair fallout! and THEN turn gray!? Last night as Count Rocket was looking through old crates for FM and BULL DURHAM---how about that Susan Sarandon?---'aaaawwwwwooooo arrrr arrrrr awwwwwoooooooo' he stumbled across a Count Floyd album and decided to digitize it! And then you ask for it! THIS MORNING! Pretty scary no!? Are you scared now!? Is all of your hair on the ground!? Turning gray? CHECK!? What? No? Nothing? Are you sure?....ok. maybe it wasn't that scary but what do you expect from me? I'm not Joe Flarherty! and if I was do you think I'd be spending all my time on the internet?
ok---enough silliness. here you go mp---hope you like it (lp rip @ 192): COUNT FLOYD http://www.megaupload.com/?d=02UGANQ1
Dig You Cats Later,
Rocket From Mars
ps---@ filmpac: i'll post BULL DURHAM for you later. unfortunately one track has a default in it and skips (but it's easily replaceable John Fogerty's Centerfield)
@ isbum: hey man! sorry. i should've said something and saved you from shelling out for FM. oh well. you're fast daddy-o! you're fast! (and that's what makes you the best!)
After seeing 'Cross & Switchblade' posted, I wonder if anyone has the soundtrack to another church-based film release from the 70's: TIME TO RUN. Beyond that, still seeking (and fairly sure they weren't commercially released): MAKING LOVE (Ontkean, Jackson, Hamlin) RESURRECTION (Ellen Burstyn) and ALL THE WAY HOME (Jean Simmons, Robert Preston)
@ ALL - Sorry that I'm going to take some space, as I am your latest parachutist.
After a few months of wandering, I got lucky to rediscover this 'place'. It took me 1½ days to read the September messages, copy/paste comments, write down notes and links, and generally try to understand who's who (individuals, interests and inter-relations). There's so much here that, against my urge to grasp most of the grapes, I kept saying to myself "No!... not this one now, leave it!". ______________________________
@ Alexander (& isbum?) - KAFKA by CLIFF MARTINEZ uploaded at http://riparoprovvisorio.blogspot.com/
I was going to apologise but I shan't; only explain — same text but not preceded by a false in this case "I'm so sorry...": My free time for enjoyment is limited, my LP & CD collection is large, and my HDDs have not yet developed a good musical ear. Whenever I spend time and take care to rip & share some music, it is because I DO like it [the music, not the effort] to be known. Therefore, I do what I can to protect and keep active my upload link. I'm not interested in promoting my blog, only in allowing someone who's after something, to find it there intact; small trouble to jump onto another web-page, right? From that moment on – and although I'm not indifferent to a "Than you," – I don't mind if the file will be leeched, re-upped as somebody else's work, and so on. ______________________________
I keep a close eye on my by-day-longer list, of those franklynot mates that I wish to thank. ______________________________
I second Ruggo's question about "Chimezatmidnight". Not being too young myself, and having grown fond of the guy in just a few days, I'd wish him to just drop a word here.
C'mon Chimez!... I'm getting a fancy USB turn-table, so that I can fulfil your request about David Del Tredici's "Final Alice". Also, from CD (but is it of the Beeb?), Mahler's 1st Symphony under Horenstein [my all-time favourite recordings!]
@ Ruggo, thanks for stumbling against my invisible(=aphanous) chastity belt. This is the 2nd time you cause me a spontaneous physical reaction — the first one being your 'music in Caligula?' wonderment. At that time, exactly a week ago, you'd made me laugh in the middle of my serious scrutiny of the comments.
Keep it up — no pun intended, your wit I mean — and I'll remain an eternal friend of yours.
@ rodtross - Your request for "Time to Run" is very intriguing. I believe another from the "Light" records label - Rev. Billy Graham.
"The Restless Ones" is another I have been after. I had 2 brothers heading towards the ministry growing up, so, these Lp's were familiar to me. If I only knew one day I'd be seeking them again, you know.
While the unending wait for "The Blob" goes on, it appears RCA released an Lp of Ralph Charmichal's "Man in the Fifth Dimention" that would be an astounding find.
@ rocket from mars - Without fail you amaze me! What would the MI Team here do without you! Oh, and thanks for the new hairdo. I look like Cannon with Kojak's shiny head now!
...quite far from being all quiet on the western front - here are some more orchestral war-tunes from the "Medal of Honor" video-game-franchise, this time penned by Christopher Lennertz instead of Giacchino, but just as great:

I totally did misread, hmmmm, must have been something in the air last night, I dunno...... went back and read it just now and it's not even really that easy to misread..... I'll be alright, I hope!:) JP
thank you for all the fantastic japanese 70s soundtracks you have been sharing!! just been going thru all the archives, and i couldn't help but find myself jumping for joy at all your shares!! didn't seem like they got much of a response, so i thought i'd take the time out to give you guys a big THANKS and let you guys know im eagerly anticipating what gems you might be so kind to share with us...
here is a franklynot exclusive that you won't find anywhere else...from my personal collection. its a korean soundtrack from 1974 which roughly translates to: Hometown of the Star. Most of the tracks are by korean acid folk/psych legend lee jang hee. hope you guys like...

Hi all, I was just about to start d/l JP's super Sinatra collection parts 16-20 with M/U, although I don't have a prem account with M/U I have d/l the first 3 sections with no trouble at all, now I have come to this last part, it is only giving me the option to "download with Premium!" (I only have a prem account with R/S).
Has anyone ever come across this problem before or know how to get around this? Thanks Ennioman
you'll find the new Xtabay blog which is supposed to supersede the old one soon. To begin with he decided to repost all the film music from the Xtabays Planet site before killing this blog. They are not new links but some of you may find some stuff that they didn't have a chance to pick up yet. The whole thing being perfectly presented as usual. Cheers
Thanks, that's a very kind offer. I know how much effort it takes to rip vinyl, so...
I have the first 16 tracks of the CD in good condition. Assuming the complete CD doesn't turn up, if you'd like you could send 320s of the rest (4 more on CD; don't know if LP is different), I could match them and post a complete version.
Could someone who DOES NOT have a prem account with M/U please try this link and tell me if they get an option to download for free or ONLY with a prem account
@ ennoman - I get the same message. It must be one heck of a big download. Four discs even at 128 has to be too much for what they'll allow someone to get for free.

I agree with what you say, especially depending on the type of music.

Thank you for The Young Lions! Does anyone have Friedhofer's Best Years of Our Lives?
@ breton girl,
Thanks SO much for uploading the second disc of the Black Cauldron! :D
@ Everyone,
I’ve been checking here practically every day since I first posted and I’ve yet to come across a requested score that I could possibly contribute!
Adios

Hi!
Does anyone have "Time To Get It Together" by Leonard Nimoy? It's the only song I don't have.
Thanks!
Right on the $ Ruggo.
Echo's of what I said to Italianjob.
@ janus2810 - Could you give a jazz insrumental for The Jazz Project?
Reza and segroeg put one in, howz about you and agent double represent the VP crew? Quidtum, you too friend.
@ Scoredaddy
Hello my friend, firstly, please don't look at it as a 'request list' as such, as I think I said, any of the listed would be cool..
I certainly wouldn't expect anyone to sit down and fill each and every one of these. Please ignore comps if they are listed there I have several comps and a box set of CD's. Sure I could live with 128 b/r, no problem at all, if any are higher naturally I would welcome. And please as and when and on your own time bud, certainly no rush at all, just want to really fatten up my Sinatra sounds from this period..
Much appreciated

@ quinlan - I can be confusing to myself. After a 2nd readthrough what I was speaking about was the wealth of classical music links that would become available to those who discover them in the upcoming months archives.
I'm not even sure that makes it clearer.
Does it?

No problem boss.

@h20 & janus 2810;
I'm trying to retrieve my jaw from
the floor right now - I can't thank you both enough, you have no idea how badly I've wanted to hear this score apart from the film, and to get this on such a rotten day....thank you both so much, you have made my week!!!
does anybody have mike rozakis' score to 'she knew no other way'? many thanks!!
@ filmpac,
I nearly attached a "cheese" warning to "Magnifico" (and "Carambola", too). To hear it described as "much more conventional" than "Killer Fish" made me approach "Killer Fish" with some trepidation. ;)
Here's some disco silliness back at you. Rip of monaural LP @320 (not mine):

Thanks to all.
@ h20,
Thanks, but it's only 128, so I'll wait for Italianjob. I snagged the art, though. :)
@ filmpac
Thank you too for "The Young Lions". Wonderfully percussive start, but I agree that it never guite maintains that standard. Nice to have some more Friedhofer though.

@ Isbum,

Hi everyone, does anyone have a rip of the 1972 John Barry LP "The Concert John Barry"? Thanks in advance
Laurence Rosenthal "Meetings With Remarkable Men" (1979), LP @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/58262769/LR-RemarkableMen.zip
Alec Guinness and Gina Lollobrigida star in a British version of one of those French bedroom farces, full of sneaking down hallways and near misses. The perfect music to play on your next secret rendezvous...
Laurence Rosenthal "Hotel Paradiso" (1966), @192:
http://rapidshare.com/files/58182527/LR-HotelParadiso.zip

@ Steve
Steve, please, harp away my friend, Barry has been such a part of my life since a very early age.
I've been lucky enough to have seen him in concert, and it was the beautiful thing, sorry it is not the cleanest of rips, only available from vinyl and oddly never released on CD..
It's a strange Ol world..
Glad you are enjoying it.
Ennioman
Ennioman
Well I'd love to hear it. (I'm betting it includes "Afternoon")

Thank you for the Barry Concert.
Unfortunately, "The Adventurer" sounds pretty scratchy and stops after more than one minute.
Could re-rip and re-upload that again?
@Segroeg
Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is very much appreciated, and highly recommended to everyone else. Cheers.
@ Claus and anyone who d/l John Barry The Concert

Hi everyone.
I might have missed it, but has anyone uploaded the recent collection of JOHN ADDISON MUSIC on CHANDOS??
I scrolled through Quinlans excellent Excell spread-sheet but couldn't spot it anywhere.
Can anyone help???
Cheers & thanks as always.

Here's the very rare John Barry 1975 LP AMERICANS
http://rapidshare.com/files/58597037/Americans_1975_LP_Polydor_2383_405.zip.html
Ennioman
Hi seasy,
You won't find the John Addison Film Music on Chandos around here - it's a new release and very much in print. The best you can hope for is to find someone who has it who would share it with you privately.
Best regards.
@ Steve
Glad you are enjoying 'Americans' I'm only glad it survived..
I'm currently ripping John Barry Songs for Janet, the private compilation I made, so hope you enjoy this.
Ennioman
@ Ennioman,
Isbum wanted it from me. Just got in now so thanks for covering it.
@ Breton Girl
The "Ghostbusters" back cover that you posted lists 21 tracks. I've got a version with 22 tracks (it's listed as the "Lincoln" bootleg at Soundtrack Collector). Let me know if you want me to upload it.
Whoops, I just compared the tracks listings and they're considerably different...
@ Vinnie: thanks a lot, but i already got the Lincoln bootleg (like the 56 tracks version and the V... club one). I'm really searching for the 21 tracks Ghostbusters score only.
You've replied when i was typing... :p Well, yes, the running time are totally different - that's mostly why i am looking for this edition...

Reur post of September 14 "La Ballata Di Fiumicino".
Is there any artist's name (composer/performer...) that I could mention in the September link list.
Thank you for your cooperation
Thanks for getting around to one of my requests (filmpac-Emanuelle in America).
I will try to repost the previous two after work today (maybe on Zshare this time...Sorry, I HATE Rapidshare with a passion).
Request: Does anyone have Ralph Carmichael's Cross and the Switchbalde (1970)? I saw it on YDHTVTB but it was posted over a year ago.
Does anyone have Riz Ortolani's "Une Ragione per Vivere et una ragione per morire".
Actually, I am only missing the track "Azione bellica", so I would be already satisfied with than one alone.
All this talk about Shafts (stop snickerin' Isbum ;)) got me to wondering if Shaft's Big Score OST was ever posted? Anybody have that?
@ doctor & soulbrotha
I'll get Cross&Switchblade&Shaft'sBig Score for you gent's today.
Here's Discs 6-10 Reprise:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O2XX2WRX
Thanks Izzy.
Btw, I'm sure at one time I saw Isaac Hayes' soundtrack to the original Shaft posted somewhere here in the archives, but for the life of me I can't find it! Can you point me in the right direction, please?
@ Wha? How'd you get to be soulbrotha and never been given the Shaft?
You probably white as me cracker.
Haaaaahaahaaa! Jus' yankin' yo chains soulbrotha.
I'd be happy to give you the original Shaft. It's a big one, so, megaUP it will be. ;)
@ Janus2810
Thank you so much for the reprise set, took me over 3 hours to download 1-5 without a M/U premium account, amazed it all came down on first attempt. I think I'll be pushing my luck to try and capture 6-10 today.. So will be on it first thing in the morning! Can't wait to hear all of this great stuff, the house has been echoing to Sinatra all day! :-)
Thanks to both you and scoredaddy.
Ennioman
Ha! Izzy, you ain't right!
Thanks in advance for the posts!
@ scoredaddy
I would certainly be interested in any concerts. Especially 50's and 60's stuff where the sound quality started to get a bit better.
I think it was you that posted the Film music of Frank Sinatra awhile back? There was a version of That Old Black Magic on there that I had been searching for for YEARS!!! God bless the internet! I thought I would never find that track! Thank you my friend! And if it was someone else that posted that, well, I should thank them! Hell you're all great! Thanks for enriching my musical life so much! JP
@ ennioman
NO problem! Glad to spread the Frank around! It's such a great set, took me forever to scrape up the money to buy it, then I had to sell it because I needed the money....... but not before ripping it all! :)

@ Janus
Can I ask, I'm trying to read up on the Reprise collection, I have only so far come across a 4 disc version..and yours is 10 disc? Was there 2 versions of this box set, just trying to file them correctly and wondered are they comps or does the set contain full studio albums..
Ennioman
Errr Oh boy... I just discovered the 20 disc version!
That's a mother of a set!
Ennioman
@ Ennioman - I wouldn't be feeling too bad mate, what survives of the John Barry Concert is outstanding indeedy. I had that James Bond Suite and never knew where it came from, it's been floating as a loose track in my Bond Covers folder for like ever, now it can find its proper home.
Best I can tell, it seems we are only missing some 47 seconds from The Adventurer, and I'll be keeping a sharp eye out for that.
Thanks for sharing it, the other album, and your mix tape too, some nice rarities in there!

@ Filmpac
Thanks mate, I'm just really pissed about it, you put something on a digital format in the hope that it is going to live on a little longer than that, I think I must have done this some 8-9 years back..
Then you start to think, are any others in my collection that have fallen to the same problem? Do I try out other stuff that I have archived to the same brand of Disc, it's a nightmare scenario..
But will have to check out some of it, guess you can never have enough back up..
Anyway, glad you are enjoying them mate.
Ennioman
@filmpac--re: Mystic Warrior
How ya doin' friend?
Believe it or not, I had this cd out ready to be uploaded at some point in time, but never got around to it.
Anyhow, here are the frt and bk covers for it.
Very cool score.
BTW-- the artwork is nothing extraordinary, but it's better than not. :)

@ isbum
As I am running behind schedule, I am just discovering today your comments of September 15 where you're asking me why I was keeping posting tracks in the "Jazz Project".
@filmpac
Thanks alot for the Gerald Fried The Mystic Warrior and what about Birds do it, Bees do it
You da man, Izzy!
Other requests:
-Me & Bessie - Linda Hopkins (cast album)
-Don't Bother Me I Can't Cope - (cast album)
-A Hero Ain't Nothing But A Sandwich OST - Hubert Laws
-R.P.M. - Barry De Vorzon & Perry Botkin Jr
"They say that cat Izzy is a baaad mutha....SHUT YO' MOUTH!"
@ tony - You aren't alone my friend, filmpac has scooped me several times.
Thinking he's a part of T.H.R.U.S.H. or the all-seeing eye from Lord of the Rings.
Post it on your blog tony. TX for the covers as well!
@ parzival
Reur post of September 15 "Medal Of Honor". There is a pass mentionned for the first three segments and none for the last one "Front Line".
Could kindly confirm that there is no pass required for these last two links.
This is for reporting purposes in the September link list.
Thank you.

First off Discs 11-15 of the reprise collection:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CH326GHN
It's the 20 disc set, and it contains every single studio album done for the reprise label in chronological order, it's a whooooole lot of music!
@ soulbrotha

Hi folks, I've been laying low for a while, but now I have a request and will be stunned - but happy - if someone can fullfill it.
Back in '79, Joe Flaherty of SCTV recorded a mini LP - 4 songs - as his cornball TV host Count Floyd - I'd pray someone has this to share??
Hi Everyone---
@mp: 'aaaaaaawwwwwwoooooooooooo!' do you want to hear a scary story kiddies? so scary it'll---it'll make ALL of your hair fallout! and THEN turn gray!? Last night as Count Rocket was looking through old crates for FM and BULL DURHAM---how about that Susan Sarandon?---'aaaawwwwwooooo arrrr arrrrr awwwwwoooooooo'
he stumbled across a Count Floyd album and decided to digitize it! And then you ask for it! THIS MORNING! Pretty scary no!? Are you scared now!? Is all of your hair on the ground!? Turning gray? CHECK!?
What? No? Nothing? Are you sure?....ok. maybe it wasn't that scary but what do you expect from me? I'm not Joe Flarherty! and if I was do you think I'd be spending all my time on the internet?
ok---enough silliness. here you go mp---hope you like it (lp rip @ 192):
COUNT FLOYD

Dig You Cats Later,
Rocket From Mars
ps---@ filmpac: i'll post BULL DURHAM for you later. unfortunately one track has a default in it and skips (but it's easily replaceable John Fogerty's Centerfield)
@ isbum: hey man! sorry. i should've said something and saved you from shelling out for FM. oh well. you're fast daddy-o! you're fast! (and that's what makes you the best!)
After seeing 'Cross & Switchblade' posted, I wonder if anyone has the soundtrack to another church-based
film release from the 70's: TIME TO RUN.
Beyond that, still seeking (and fairly sure they weren't commercially released):
MAKING LOVE (Ontkean, Jackson, Hamlin)
RESURRECTION (Ellen Burstyn)
and
ALL THE WAY HOME (Jean Simmons, Robert Preston)
Has anyone heard from chimes@midnight recently?
And the final installment of the Reprise collection, discs 16-20:

@ ALL - Sorry that I'm going to take some space, as I am your latest parachutist.
After a few months of wandering, I got lucky to rediscover this 'place'. It took me 1½ days to read the September messages, copy/paste comments, write down notes and links, and generally try to understand who's who (individuals, interests and inter-relations).
There's so much here that, against my urge to grasp most of the grapes, I kept saying to myself "No!... not this one now, leave it!".

I was going to apologise but I shan't; only explain — same text but not preceded by a false in this case "I'm so sorry...":
My free time for enjoyment is limited, my LP & CD collection is large, and my HDDs have not yet developed a good musical ear.

I keep a close eye on my by-day-longer list, of those franklynot mates that I wish to thank.

Till next time, greetings to everyone.

@di(aphanous
First of all, welcome to the group.
Second:
'Splain me your blog. Link to Kafka gets error notice as protected link. Have you got a chastity belt or something on this?
@ Quinlan - Truly sorry, haven't leaned yet how to do it.
For the above "Martinez - KAFKA" (I hope this will work):
http://riparoprovvisorio.blogspot.com/
@ Ruggo - More simple than one fears, my friend:
Just click the link while staying on my page; or...
Right-click, then select "Open Link in New Tab".
One cannot copy(save)/paste the link, and use it from another page.
Hope that you manage :-)
@ Ruggo, thanks for stumbling against my invisible(=aphanous) chastity belt. This is the 2nd time you cause me a spontaneous physical reaction — the first one being your 'music in Caligula?' wonderment.
At that time, exactly a week ago, you'd made me laugh in the middle of my serious scrutiny of the comments.
Keep it up — no pun intended, your wit I mean — and I'll remain an eternal friend of yours.
Hi there, does anyone have The Best of Millennium by Mark Snow? Many thanks in advance.

@ rodtross - Your request for
"Time to Run" is very intriguing.

Hi all, I was just about to start d/l JP's super Sinatra collection parts 16-20 with M/U, although I don't have a prem account with M/U I have d/l the first 3 sections with no trouble at all, now I have come to this last part, it is only giving me the option to "download with Premium!" Has anyone ever come across this problem before or know how to get around this?

Thank you for "Barabbas"! You're always a nice guy!
@Breton Girl &
@Parzival
Thank you for your kind attention!
God bless you all!
@filmpac,
Thanks for the Cacavas mate, been busy adding bits to my blog and just been thru the old comments here to find this.
Great stuff

@3410
I've got the double vinyl of "Il dio sotto la pelle"
Let me a few days to rip at 320.
Any chance that somebody's got the CD?
@ all
If you go there:
http://xtabaysworld.blogspot.com/
you'll find the new Xtabay blog which is supposed to supersede the old one soon.
To begin with he decided to repost all the film music from the Xtabays Planet site before killing this blog.
They are not new links but some of you may find some stuff that they didn't have a chance to pick up yet.
The whole thing being perfectly presented as usual.
Cheers
@ Segroeg,
re: "Il dio sotto la pelle",
Thanks, that's a very kind offer.

Thanks

@ ennoman - I get the same message.
It must be one heck of a big download. Four discs even at 128 has to be too much for what they'll allow someone to get for free.
@ Piccioni fans - Yes, the "La Pelle" that I have seems to have been cobbled together like Frankenstein's Monster. Sorry boys, I don't have the Cd. :[
