Ennio Morricone probably is the most interesting composer of film music. Of course nothing will be the same without Max Steiner ,our master! Of course scores by Rozsa,Herrmann are wonderful and we all have in our mind the Dimitri Tiomkin's melodies. But Ennio Morricone is the only one who succeeded in composing for all kinds of films;from 1900 to Four flies what a difference but always a hit!and his western themes as well the organ from Amanti d'oltre tomba are with us. As a toast to master Morricone I shall say that his music is the music of Hope and not only in the Love theme;there is hope even in light and action themes.Listen to the main theme from Le Casse ,after an introduction the music brings hope. Thanks Master for your music, because when we listen to it,we know everything stil is possible in our life.
Many thanks for the Sol Madrid! And what a speedy delivery! Alot faster than this 'thank you' for that matter. You guys make my requests feel so elementary:)
P.S. - Our foreign friends on here are cracking me UP!
"but what about pleasure to read all this, you simply well done guys!"
FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER Due to the holidays and extra overtime I’ll be working. I will not be able to post much of anything until 1/1/08. So I leave you with 2 DVD Rips, I hope you enjoy them. And to everyone, have a great holiday. Fred Karlin The Chosen Survivors http://www.zshare.net/download/5052674291e0a6/

Excellent place to be, and thanks for all the music shared. I like that there is no nasty people here, very chilled place.
I have a few soundtracks, and have just uploaded Wisdom by Danny Elfman, which is always a good listen. I have alot of Budd stuff, like The Carey Treatment and the Japanese Fear Is The Key if anyone wants.
Thanks italianjob for "Uno Di Piu All Inferno" and filmpac for "Bandidos", "Le Gout De La Violence".
Much more Pasta Westerns.

@ tony - janus2810 can't locate his copy of Francis Lai's "Les Petroleuses", aka- "Frenchie King" record. I can buy it this weekend, but thought I'd better ask here if anyone has this? Now is the time to tell me, please. Check out the poster at Soundtrack Collector, looks like a French version of "Bad Girls".
And a bonus from the Peter Ustinov film. The track listing is different from the LP listed on Soundtrack Collector, so this is either an unknown Greek CD release, or a quality bootleg, either way sounds great...
Looks like it's pasta for Thanksgiving, thanks for all the great shares folks!
@ ze carlos - Sorry, they are the only scores by both those composers I have, would love to hear more myself.
@ italianjob - Sorry, no Rare Spaghetti here, the vocal track was in the download when I got it. If anyone else has those Rare Spaghetti volumes, I would sure love to see them posted.
@ isbum - Nope, still no Frenchie King here, thought I had it once but turned out to be an album by a feller called Marc Collin.
Thomas Newman's The Player, Ennio Morricone's Bulworth, John Debney's My Favorite Martian PROMO & JNH's One Fine Day PROMO will all post later today/tomorrow.
Feel free to make requests there and thanks to all who post here. I found a few pain-in-the-ass to locate titles in your links. Much appreciated. After the holidays i'll go back and check out the previous requests and see if i can post any in here. I recall several that i had that never got posted.
@ boynotorious - Please give a happy or joyful track from the Debney score promo of "My Favorite Martian" to our project. I am certain it would be perfect for it. Please? :) I'm begging, we're just past the 45 min. point in this collection, plenty of room for more JOY JOY JOY!
Re your post of Barry's "A Killing Affair", I recently acquired same. Does yours perchance contain 15 tracks, and most importantly does it contain any artwork? Mine is without, one reason why I held off posting, the other being (not having seen the film) I've got some doubts about its legitimacy... it sounds a little too Bondish to my ears. Now, I know Barry did recycle his tunes a fair bit, but this is just a little too close for comfort. Any help would be appreciated.
@ boynotorious - Nice looking blog you got there, tres professional. I can help out with a couple on your request list, if you are in need of an assist.
@ isbum - Without wishing to spark too much of a debate on Barry (whose work I love), he can be somewhat prone to repeating himself. Others fall into the same category too, I know. All you need do to prove this point is listen to "Born Free" from the 60s, "Monte Walsh" from the 70s, then "Dances With Wolves" from 1990. Hmmmm....
Now, with "Killing Affair", I am hearing part-Bond, part-Dances, so it probably is legit lol ;)
Any and all help would be great. Especially if i am about to GHOST LIST something and am sure it doesn't exist. I love pulling a rabbit out of my hat as much as possible. My readers will love you to death.
As for personal requests, i haven't posted any because i really haven't gotten around to it yet. The list is full of non-existent and impossible to locate stuff like:
Bring It On - Christophe Beck Kuffs - Harold Faltermeyer Life Less Ordinary - David Arnold Money Talks - Lalo Schifrin Moonlight Mile - Mark Isham Multiplicity - George Fenton So I Married An Axe Murder - Bruce Broughton Very Bad Things - VA - Soundtrack
or the seriously non-existant:
Adventures Of Ford Fairlane - Yello Real Genius - Thomas Newman Streets Of Fire - Ry Codder
i've gotten to the point in my collection where there is pretty much nothing left that is easy to locate. It's sad but assuring in a weird way. Better to help others and enjoy when the little stuff pops up.

The sound quality of this soundtrack is not perfect. Who'd expect it to be? Back when this was released, the music masters were nearly 60 years old. There's light static, light noise, etc. on this release. If they went back and re-remastered this soundtrack today, it'd probably sound even better simply because digital restoration and remastering has come a very long way since 1996 when this CD set was released. However, despite all that, this soundtrack CD showcases this magnificent score beautifully, and it really shines through any imperfections in the audio you'll find. It's definitely a must have for classic film and soundtrack fans.

* indicates that the track is in stereo. All others are in mono. Some vocal selections ("Here's What I'm Here For," "Lose That Long Face") were only available in mono, as were all the instrumental selections (many of them heard here for the first time as they had been recorded before being subsequently abbreviated or simply discarded). As a result, this new CD of A Star Is Born contains elements that are both in mono and in stereo, with slight sonic differences between them. It is also, significantly, the definitive version of this beloved soundtrack album.
@ 3410 - Sorry, I got that Tigre by the tail. Goodie it is too!
@ ruggo - Sweet post my friend, have a great Thanksgiving!
I was going to post a few as well, but "Soldier Blue" and "Little Big Man" would have bummed everybody out. ...;)(;o
@ rocket from mars - No sledding on Brokeback Mountain this year! Hope your Thanksgiving is a happy one my friend! Come in for a hello when the tryptophan wears off.
@ Isbum: i'd like to post a track for the new project, but i honestly don't knwo what i could chose... It's too hard to chose a single track, and harder when you're on the oposite mood than the one of the project....
@ breton girl - I'd put my thumb under your chin and kiss you on the nose if it would turn that frown around girl! You love the "Harry Potter" scores so give me a piece of music from one of those. You know, the joyful moments when Harry wins a Wizards contest, looses his virginity or comes out of the closet. ;) I know you can do it Breton. Smile!
and because i know a few of you are going to scratch your head and point out that RONA is not listed as having any involvement with this movie, i'll break it down for you: Mark Pellington hated Tomandandy's Score which he dismissed as weak on whole. He hired Rona to do some additional score work and UMPH it up. He more or less ended up replacing the entire thing. This is the evidence that it actually happened complete with the cover scans so a few of the non-believers don't assume i'm kidding myself. (As i did when i made the trade for this thing.)
And now for my first official request in these parts:
Gossip (Graeme Revell) - Promo Score
My CD somehow got trashed and won't transfer. I know it's out there because i'm pretty sure i'm the ass that leaked this thing back in the day. It's just not on any visable site or blog sadly. Any help would be great as i'd rather not trade up for something i already had. It's so annoying and wasteful.
..and a very Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! (American, non-American, it doesn't matter---when you get right down to it we ALL have so much to be thankful for!)
@isbum---it's so funny you mentioned dropping by a little while ago, I was planning on stopping in today and shareing a veritable smorgasboard of soundtracks...and on that note---
Get ready to 'pig out' folks!
There's no rhyme or reason to these posts---just a bunch of things I wanted to hear (for the most part). [All are from the original vinyl, most @ 192, and some have the occasional surface noise---but HEY! they're free! so what the heck.]

Well that's about it for now. I hope everyone's doing great! PLUS I just want to say THANK YOU! for some truly amazing shares from ALL of you.
Thanksgiving trivia: Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird of the United States. But it was Thomas Jefferson who opposed him. It is believed that Franklin then named the male turkey as 'tom' to spite Jefferson.
Oh yeah that is it. I had just about written it off and was going to cough up the $50 to get it back on E-Bay. I had originally gotten it back in 98 when i use to be a part of this FTP Score Club. Sadly everything from that era recently got trashed when i blew a HD that took about 1,000 scores with it. I had only burned about 300+ to disc at the time and have since re-located or traded for nearly all of the remaining titles. That was one of the big leftovers. Thanks for taking it off the menu. :)
@ze Carlos. a big thank you for the Clint Eastwood comp.some great tracks on there.
@isbum and everybody else.
a message from ennioman.
like me a big thank you to ze Carlos for the Eastwood comp,he Say's hello to everyone and things are busy but going very well and i am helping him move to his new house on dec 1st. best wishes. the score.
Thanks for your ET11. Top selections; Some old favourites, and some sure-to-be new favourites. Groovy.
@ Segroeg @ H2o @ Isbum @ Filmpac @ Rocket
Thanks for your recent ones. Too much to mention individually (and I've been away so am still catching up, to be honest), though I must say, Michele Lacerenza's "L'Ira di Dio" is really sticking in my head.
@ Filmpac,
Thanks especially for "Alla Scoperta Dell'America". I'd guess it'd be probably the most-wanted score on ML at present.
I want to thank everyone on this blog that shares and shares for the joy of music and its ability to bring people together. People with common backgrounds and those with uncommon ones. In the end we can all hear a piece of music and feel it with no boundary and nothing lost in translation. thanks.
Thanks a lot for this lost gems. I heard "Solamente Nero" used to be shared on Italian Horror blog. But the whole blog is gone, maybe someone DL'd it before.....
hi mel---glad to hear that. i don't know what possessed me to digitize that one? Nelson Riddle? Cliff Robertson singing? Jane Powell in a swimsuit on the cover? Whatever---hears another link for you to try:
i saw ennioman today and he said thanks to isbum and everyone else on board for the kind words. also he asked if somebody could post ennio morricones gabriels oboe from the film the mission for the latest project of joyful music. on behalf of ennioman thanks everyone. all the best. the score.
You're a wonderful pal, thank you so much - it's downloading now.
Its appeal for me was the movie itself - I loved it the first time I saw it and followed it round the second-release houses evey time it showed. I even ended up buying an 8mm copy of it (give you an idea how long ago that was) but it was in black-and-white. Yes, the music, Jane Powell in a swimsuit, Cliff Robertson and one of my favorite character actors, Tommy Noonan, all came into it but in the end it all boils down to nostalgia.
Some seriously good music being shared lately, thanks to all, and you're welcome to everyone who dropped a thanks to me. Happy to see so many happy campers:))
Forgive me if the repeats a previous posting. When I saw the US title, "Night of Shooting Stars" show up, I had the feeling that it was posted recently here under that title.
@ Rocket from Mars, think you might be interested in hearing this, the opening and closing suites contain a very subtle march that sneaks up on you and has a powerful kick to it.
Marc Collin is the leader of a french electro combo, who made "Les Petroleuses", an imaginary soundtrack (as Filmpac said, not to be confused with Lai's "Frenchie King")
He made a remarkable work of rearrangement on some classic cuts from 60s and 70s soundtracks including Lalo Shifrin, David Shire, Armando Trovaioli, Goraguer, Legrand, Michel Colombier and loads more, in an electro bossa vein.
@ the score - If you could, let ennioman know that I gave both versions of "Gabriel's Oboe" a listen and would like another selection. I am confident he can muster up more joy than this one.
H2o - I find this really funny. For the Travel project, you picked "Force Basta" from
"Il Giro Del Mondo Degli Innamorati Di Peynet"
For our Joyful project, "Sei Mesi Di Felicita" from
"Dramma Della Gelosia - Tutti I Particolari In Cronaca"
The thought crosses my mind that you may be having a contest of your own. ;)Longest movie titles ever? ;) Blog friend Carrasco has accepted to make covers for this one, our 3rd project.
**Only 20 minuets to fill on our Joyful Film Music project. Give your selection to this soon.
@ boynotorious - Found, a 15-minute promo, hope this is what you're after. Can't say I care too much for it, but then the film ain't exactly my cup of tea either. A rather poor scan, I dug it up on eBay, all I could find. Hope you like...
@ isbum - Quiet in here, hey? Everybody still on holiday, I guess. I reckon I get the nod for the longest *track* title on the Joyful project. Cheers to Carrasco for being this month's cover designer. Mebbe you can fill up the remaining 20 minutes with Marcel Marceau's Greatest Hits;)
@ filmpac - Have you listened to segroeg's nouvell vague post? I can't tell what, if anything, this DJ did to these tracks. Perhaps he added a frequency that my aged ears aren't receiving.
I snagged Shore's "Places in the Heart" for you. Doc, Merle and the Texas Playboys comin' soon. Also a David Rose I think you'll dig.
REQUEST: Have any early recordings of Cannonball Adderly? Looking for the one with "African Waltz" on it.
Is this Nouvelle Vague the same as someone else (isbum?) posted previously? 20 tracks, starting off with Last Tango In Paris? If so, I remember thinking back then... is this a compilation, re-recordings, remixes, for the life of me I couldn't decide.
Sorry but i have some problem when sending a message, it's the same post, again and again.
On the "Nouvelle Vague" comp., some tracks seems to be originals, and others seem to be remixed. I don't know exactly, but i think that Isbum's ears are younger thant he thinks :)
Talking about "African Waltz" i listened to this version from Johnny Dankworth, is it the original ? : http://rapidshare.com/files/72053293/125_johnny_dankworth_-_african_waltz.mp3
Do you need somme Cannonbal i got : Nippon Soul, &John Coltrane, & Eight Giants, Them Dirty Blues, The Quintet Plus, Happy People, Music You All, Fiddler on the Roof, Sharpshooters, Bohemia After Dark, that's all. Tell me. ;)
@ isbum Here is Cannonball Adderley's "African Waltz" recorded in 1961 with a big band. Credits are in tracklist. Not my rip, thanks a lot to the original uploader.
@ quinlan - Thank you my friend! I did a little looking into this record and found out that the B-Side of my 45rpm has a different take on Kelly Blue. I wonder if this other version may have been included in one of the Reissued Cd's?
Let me know if you have knowledge of this being true or not.
@ boynotorious - I notice you give different passwords for each download. Even though he hasn't mentioned it, quinlan may have some difficulty adding these to our monthly link files. Most don't use them round these parts of blogland. Perhaps you could settle on using one for all. Or none at all. :)
If I were concerned about it, my password would be "thislazyassstoleisbumslink!" ;)
I love stupid passwords. Do you have any idea how much thought goes into the creation of these things? Add to that the fact that it just thrills me to death when i think of the stupid moron that steals my links befuddled cause he can't figure out the damn PASS. Who would ever begrudge me my hated program for dealing with leeching scum?
SERIOUSLY... We can do this one of two ways:
You can have a little note on the side of monthly posted links that says PASS available at http://enigmasdaydream.blogspot.com/
or i could just do us both a favor and kill them altogether. I'll leave it up to you entirely. :)
@ isbum Whatever the next project is, I will post "Dr.Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" or "The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade" at next month, not "Z".... BTW, did you receive my e-mail ?
You make me laughter, too (thanks)! I like your blog and appreciate the thoughtful passwords you come up with as much as the shares themselves. ;) Thanks, bro!
Hi dear friends, some days ago I asked for someone who has Jarre's Island at the top of the world and other Jarre very rare scores like Topaz or Enola Gay.Can anyone help me?Thanks a lot!
hi folks. I dont know quite what to do, but the Unheard Melodies strand I posted a while back has obviously been hijacked onto a blog with huge traffic, as the files had been downloaded around 50-60 times, but now the first file has leapt to 637. My inclination is to take the files offline as anyone hear who wanted them would have them by now, and offer them privately if anyone needs them. Or should I just go with a lassaiz faire attitude and let the music be disseminated where it will. What say y'all?
@ pinscher68 - The Jarre download came from a person called bertholdb1968 who, to my knowledge, has never returned to this blog.
I tried to download it too, but was also too late. Perhaps someone here can re-up the "Island at the Top of the World" childrens Lp for us.
"Topaz" is on a bootleg paired with "Mandingo" that we have been after for over a year now. Hang in there, we are big Maurice Jarre fans here. So, if something rare shows up we'll be hootin' and hollerin'.
@ pinscher68 - If I recall, the Jarre "Light At The Edge Of The World" posted was at 96 bitrate, so I gave it a pass. I have since got a marginally better version @128, which sounds ok. Just has 2 tracks, imaginatively labelled Side 1 & Side 2. This is one of those darn storybook LPs, with a narrator and HEAPS of dialogue, so be warned...
Every time I hear Mandingo mentioned a cold shiver runs down my spine, there are STILL people downloading that from when I mistakenly posted that album, I guess they never read past the links! Enola Gay has been on my wishlist too, for yonks now, one day maybe.
My nomination for longest (and funniest) movie title: The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!?
Sounds like boynotorious is on a quest for longest password;)
pinscher68Thanks for the answering about Jarre, all of you are so kind people. These are other requests,if you have them: Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (FSM) The car-Rosenman starsky & hutch- Shapiro (only score) Gotcha - Bill Conti The Coolangatta gold - Bill Conti Madame de sade - Bill Conti The Life aquatic of Steve zissou - Mothersbaugh complete score Thanks for now and I hope to have not annoyed with too much requests.Bye!
@ steve & all - Found some more Unheard Melodies at a blog called ack ack ack, October 2007. Scroll down a little. This one is called "Rare Themes From US Horror & Sci-Fi Films 1953-1971".
A word on those Unheard Melodies. I'm familiar with them from p2p, and they come (mostly) from a user called Attila's Violin. They are all ripped straight from the movies and cleaned up as much as possible, and cover scores which never got any kind of full release. This is a MASSIVE collection, I have some volumes covering horror films, which might get an airing one day if there is enough interest.
Contest for the longer title, how about this one, from Piccioni : "Il prof. dott. guido tersilli primario della clinica villa celeste convenzionata con la mutua"
Imagine little Joey sitting at his computer, weaping like a little girl and feebly punching at the keyboard like a retarded person because he can't figure out how to properly spell out:
numbnoringingohnumbnoringingohnumbnoringingoh
And sadly for him, that glorious "Innerspace" disc will stay forever sealed as a result. His confidence permanently on vacation, little Joey's manhood will forever be lost from this sad incident. All because he didn't respect the proper laws of our parts and tried to show off. Bad Form, Joesph. Bad Form.
:)
I've got that "Starsky & Hutch" if nobody else has an active link.
Also just did a trade with that long ass "Englishman" title in it. If anyone wants that let me know and i'll post the link.
While were still almost on the boob tube subject, anyone have an active link for Nathan Barr's "Dukes Of Hazzard" Promo? I simply never got around to it and now it appears AWOL.
Don't you just hate those annoying holes in your collection your sure you downloaded already and it turns out you never did.
@ isbum Reur question related to Cannonball Adderley's "Kelly Blue". This is the whole story: This track was recorded on February 28, 1961 at the Plaza Sound Studio, NYC. As usual they did several takes, probably for each piece. There were at least two takes for "Kelly Blue": one lasting 3':46" and another one of 2':35" different from the first one with shorter solo section. The first one was included in the LP Riverside RLP 9377 "African Waltz" which was then remastered on CD (my yesterday post). The second one was included in the EP 45rpm Riverside REP 3170 which is probably the one you got from your brother. This record had on side 1, "African Waltz" and the shorter version of "Kelly Blue" and on side 2, "Barefoot Sunday Blues" from the LP Riverside RLP 1148 "Takes Charge". They probably put the shorter take of "Kelly Blue" for a question of space on the EP. It's interesting to know also that there were two takes of "Barefoot Sunday Blues" included in the LP "Takes Charge" which was recorded in April & May 1959. One of 6':58" (take 3) and another one of 7':47" (take 1). Finally it must be noted that the shorter take of "Kelly Blue" which you have from the EP was never issued on LP or CD. Now you certainly thought that with all these details, I was probably present during the recording of the sessions in New York in 1961. Frankly NOT!! If you go there and browse: http://www.cannonball-adderley.com/45rpm2.htm you'll find all kinds of information related to the Cannonball 45 Rpm Discography. One last thing: you deleted your EP link faster than you posted it, so when I wanted to download it, I got the message "deleted by the uploader". If you could kindly reup it for me and let me know the link (in the blog or at my e-mail address) I would be more than grateful. So that I could burn a CD of "African Waltz" with the two takes of "Kelly Blue" and be the only one in the world with the two versions on one CD, ah, ah, ah... That's all folks!
@ isbum & boynotorious & everyone I think we should let each of us post the way he likes it, with or without password. This is not really worrying me. What I am doing in completing this monthly link list is to help this community of nice people and mark my appreciation of this blog. The list is to serve the people and not the other way around. I must say that I have fun each time boynotorious publishes his frenzied passwords. There is a special space for them in the link list and in case either me or boynotorious would forget to mention one of them, I can always update the list and the readers may eventually go back to the post in the main section referring to the uploader's name and post date. The only thing I am kindly asking is to clearly state in the post the album and artist names as well as the password. This is what boynotorious is doing and I am happy with that. Let me take this opportunity to thank very much each contributor and in particular filmpac to make my task easy in providing the details required. Otherwise I don't mind asking or checking back with IMDb or Soundtrack Collector for further details such as aka... It contributes to improve my overall knowledge. Cheers everyone

@ omega The longest movie title. What about that: "Quei temerari sulle loro pazze, scatenate, scalcinate carriole" which is the italian title for "Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies" which was already not too bad. It has 53 letters (not counting the space between words) against 45!
@quinlan - That translation reads like a delicious special at an Italian restaurant. I had no idea a word for "jaunty" existed in Italian. You make me learning quinlan! ;)
@ filmpac - My Aunt Pedo and Great, Great Grandma Stacey would have loved hearing this record. In a stroke of brilliance, Shore had the performances taped using actual period microphones and production techniques. "Places in the Heart" 1984 Lp @320 Produced and adapted by Howard Shore
I found another long title: "Confessione Di Un Commissario Di Polizia Al Procuratore Della Repubblica" Didn't have to go far for it, it's been posted this month. At the moment segroeg is in the lead with a 78 letters title followed by filmpac with 68.
Re: "Places in the Heart" - Features Doc Watson: Vocals & Guitars Merle Watson: Guitar & Banjo The Texas Playboys Robert Benton's film featured Sally Field as a farm woman who's husband, Smokey, has died from tabloid poisioning. Little known fact: The Oscar for Male Lead with the Fastest Receding Hairline went to John Malkovich. Ed Harris lost due to improper use of comb-over and Danny Glover for wearing a hat. (this is what amuses me during the long ripping & tagging process:)
In 1962 Warner Bros. Records released an LP where Pete Rugolo and his Orchestra were playing 10 pieces coming from french films soundtracks of the 50s in a jazzy west coast style. The album was called "Behind Brigitte Bardot" although not all tracks were dedicated to music of her films. Actually there are 6 tracks related to 5 BB films ("And God Created Woman"- 2 tracks, "La Parisienne", "The Girl In The Bikini", "Love Is My Profession" & "The Night Heaven Fell". The 4 other tracks are also from 1950 french films not featuring BB which I let you discover (information is available in the tracklist). I believe it has become a rare record, although it's been reissued on CD along with another Pete Rugolo LP dedicated to TV themes of that time which I plan to post soon. I a have the chance to have the LP which I ripped @ 320. Here is a link to "Behind Brigitte Bardot" by Pete Rugolo with good solo takes by musicians of the caliber of Bud Shank (sx), Pete Candoli (tp) or Laurindo Almeida (gt):
The sleeve of my record was not in a too good state so I picked up a scan of the front and back covers on the net, which unfortunately is not in an excellent resolution. But after some rework I think it's acceptable, and for those who wouldn't like the music at least they'll have BB. Listening to one of the tunes, "Paris B.B." from "La Parisienne" reminded me the erotic shiver which ran down my spine (yes, my spine) when I was a teenager and was watching the movie in a theater for the first time. I must confess that it was not due only to the music but also to what was being displayed on the screen, but the music enhanced so well the picture that if one of these days isbum has the idea of launching a new project of film musics with erotic feelings, I claim the right to put this title as my contribution in priority. More seriously (although I was quite serious in relating the above), there are two intriguing issues with this record. Track 10, "The Night Heaven Fell" ("Les Bijoutiers Du Clair De Lune" in french)from the film of the same name directed by then BB's husband, Roger Vadim, is credited on the album to have been composed by the team Bacharach-David. I think it's a mistake as the film score was composed by Georges Auric and I do not really recognize the Burt Bacharach sound in it. So I put the name of Georges Auric as the composer in the track list. Maybe some of you can say more about that... The second intriguing issue does not belong to this record but rather to the album posted some time ago by segroeg "Jazz, Swing & Cinema" dedicated to Paul Misraki. segroeg, I probably did not thank you at the time of your posts and I apologize for it, but please accept my belated thanks for all your great posts of Du Rififi Au Cinema, The Claude Bolling Compilation and the one that I just mentionned. They were all deeply appreciated. Coming back to the Paul Misraki album, track 9 is named "Dis-Moi Quelque Chose De Gentil". This is actually the title of a Paul Misraki song which is played on juke-box in "Et Dieu Crea La Femme" by a french singer named Solange Berry and performed by Pete Rugolo in the album I'm just posting here. I know the melody of this song very well and I am pretty sure it's not the one on track 9 of your post. Listen to track 3 of the Pete Rugolo album and you'll see that it's not the same song. Well, this just a talking point; maybe you'll want to tell me what you think of it. This does not prevent your posts to be great shares for which I wish to thank you again and again.
Filmpac requested this a few weeks back, and someone (Ennioman?) mentioned they had a copy. I said at the time I'd found a good version, so here it is...
@ isbum - Dagnabbit, now you done and got me feeling *really* old, lumping me in with Great, Great Grandma Stacey! Thanks for the rip bud, it's a cracker, jolly jolly:)) Also in the cast was Terry O'Quinn, last seen severely folically challenged and pushing buttons on an island somewhere.
@ boynotorious - PMSL at your password gags, notorious indeedy;)
@ segroeg Thank you for your quick answer. You're right, track 4 of your Misraki's comp is definitely "Dis-Moi Quelque Chose De Gentil. I am absolutely certain of that. I didn't have the time to listen to the whole album yet otherwise I would have noted it. So since I do not know the title of track 9, let's conclude that there was an inversion and that track 9 is "Slow Vibraphone". There are little chances to be wrong doing so. By the way, would you have a list of the films the other tracks are from? Thank you.
I believe this is the Nathan Barr "The Dukes Of Hazzard" score you were after...
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XB61XDP5
Also I saw that "Il Grande Duello" was requested recently. (AKA The Grand Duel AKA The Big Showdown AKA Storm Rider) Was this ever shared? Privately perhaps? I'd love it sent to me if it was. I do have two tracks from it that were from a compilation (the same tracks that were also featured in Kill Bill actually) that I can share if that's all that out there.
While i'm at it, is there a good link for The Big Gundown out there yet either?
For any Beatles fans out there, if you don't already have, check out Return To Pepperland for a pair of kids soundtracks by Paul McCartney, to Daumier's Law and Rupert The Bear. Includes the UK #1 hit "We All Stand Together".
The Bible, Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, Sodom and Gomorrah, The Robe, St. Francis of Assisi, Exodus, King of Kings, Spartacus, Song of Bernadette, Lygia from Quo Vadis, and The Greatest Story Ever Told. Rose takes great care of these wonderful themes and, even though treated as easy listening, doesn't overdose them with orchestral flourishes. I don't know which David kept the pot from boiling over, but the melodies blossom because of it.
My daily uploads which never seem to be going to my blog anymore for some reason. Will have to remedy that right quick.

The complete title of Marat/Sade is The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum at Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade. I think that's a good contender for longest title.
I don't know the Gordon Jenkins LP you mentioned but wouldn't mind listening to it.
Does anyone have the recording sessions of Jerry Goldsmith's La Confidential? Yesterday I saw this movie again, and noticed several great themes in the movie that were not on my cd.
I have LA CONFIDENTIAL recording sessions and Mandel's AGATHA. If nobody else has a handy-dandy live link at the moment, I'll post them.
@ QuinMel - Our friend chimezatmidnight was a fan of Jenkins. I was reading back a few months last night, and got a little teary thinking of him. Extraodinary man. Incredibly generous. I'll post in honor of him.
Now it's my turn for major computer problems. I'm on the laptop backup, which is very slow and awkward (hey! sounds just like me).
Main computer keeps turning itself off and restarting every half hour or so. Doesn't even give a failure notice of any kind as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
If anyone has any suggestions (could I be overheating?) let me know.
@isbum
Thanks for David Rose posting. Got a special soft spot for themes from epic films. The more bombast and majestic sweep the better.
@isbum - Man, you are the MAN! Speedy delivery on the Big Gundown and I LOVED Matalo! I've definitely gotta seek out that one out. And thanks to 3410 for the bonus tracks. Everyone goes the extra mile here!
Here's the couple of tracks I have from "Il Grande Duello"
Definitely check out track 9. It's the tune that Gnarls Barkley sampled for Crazy, and it's freakin' beautiful.
As always i've got a few requests...
Stalking Moon - Fred Karlin Glory Stompers - Mike Curb Satan's Sadists - Harley Hatcher Gambit - Maurice Jarre Arizona Colt - Francesco De Masi They Call Me Hallelujah - Stelvio Cipriani Italian Connection - Armando Trovajoli Shoot First, Die Later - Luis Bacalov
BIG BIG thanks to all you guys. (Man i'm starting to sound like a broken record. Instead of thanks I might just start saying stuff like SHAZAM! and EXCELSIOR!)
The symptoms of your computer seems to be a problem of electrical feeding (i don't know if it's very english, what i say) I think you have to change the box inside your computer, with many wires, you know the hardware with a ventilator. I did the same with mine. If you don't understand what i mean, let another guy explain it to you. But your libido is obviously not the cause, if not your computer would be down since a long time.
I just downloaded my own RAR and verified that the PASS on the BURWELL is indeed correct. Copy and paste it from the h----------------->b and you'll be able to open it just fine.
If anyone else has a similar issue let me know and i will just re-up it again just to be on the safe side. :)
@ isbum - Please disregard my previous link, as it was one step behind the final picture. The newest is here: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=7xjqayx&s=1
@ Segroeg - What a cosy place for friends to meet, and share a drink (or music, or peripheral concerns)!
a dr greene tutorial on how to remove a fake russian accent.
thanks for the up.
I'm getting reports that both the Englishman & Rollerball passes are (expletive deleted).
To that regard i'm going to ask you all to disavow both and await new uploads with workable passes. I have been writing them down as i go. Obviously that is causing some errors. I'll cut, paste and then verify at the time of creation from here on out so this type of situation doesn't happen again. Sorry for the (expletive deleted) up.
Rollerball 02 (Eric Serra) - Score (Import) http://rapidshare.com/files/72485872/RollSerImp.rar Pass: james caan can still kick your ass

Okay then... maybe you guys can help me out with a few requests from my blog:
Noble House (Paul Chihara) & Two Deaths (Hans Zimmer)
I've checked into the later and it doesn't seem to exist outside of few compilation tracks. The other is out there. I'd just never heard of it or Chihara. Any assists would be great.
Filmpac, thank you so much for "American Werewolf!" The film was a favorite of mine as a child and I've always loved the soundscape: those wonderful "Moon" songs and Bernstein's wistful and sad music.
Isbum, great stuff (Mandel and Goldsmith). You guys rule!
Isbum, seems to be catching, death by loneliness. Mine is on a disc that has gone walkabout, can't find it anywhere. I can get a replacement no doubt, but might be a day or so. Sorry boynotorious, mark that one as coming soon.
Hopefully computer's libido is easier to deal with than my own. Will investigate power box (that should get the ol' libido working) and a couple of other options.
Repeated Thanks for THE BIG GUNDOWN. I love the movie and that theme is so amazing and heroic. It never fails to send chills. 3410, Thanks for those extra stereo tracks. Fantastic!
Bringing up the image of Jane Birkin (and "Je t'aime... moi non plus" started rolling around in my head--the sexiest song ever sung)now all libidos are strained.
@ isbum: Password? PASSWORD!? You don't need no steenkin' password---
wow. that's weird. I don't even know how to do that. I have no idea why it would ask for one. Is that Rod Serling standing off in the corner? Anyway---try this link:
YOU GOTTA WALK IT LIKE YOU TALK IT (The Original Soundtrack aka Steely Dan):
Hope that works. oh---btw would anyone out there be interested in some truly bizarre disco era soundtrack themes related albums? They truly are the coolest of the cheesiest (or is that the cheesiest of the cool?).
@ rocket - Funny you'd say that. I just ripped Gene "Blacula" Page's Close Encounters Lp. Includes Theme from Star Trek baby! I love cheese Rocket. Bring IT!
@ rocketbum - Right, there IS something very odd going on with the Steely Dan... but it's not the password! When trying to extract, all files are coming up with a CRC error, despite the fact that the zip file tests okay using UltimateZip. I fiddled around some, and managed to extract the files. Here's how...
Not sure how to do this in Winzip, but in UltimateZip there is an option to "Use folder names". Untick that box, and the files will extract ok, to the folder you select. This would indicate an illegal character of some sort in the folder name that PCs don't like (slash, backslash, colon etc), and it is failing when creating the folder. Or a subfolder. Or something.
Something for rocket to look at his end, in the meantime this might save a re-download for some folk.
@ garak826 Here's my chance to contribute again... It's been a while but I am ripping : Rent-A-Cop Lionheart vol 1 and 2 I'll have them posted sooniish.
@ Paul and isbum - I just retrieved "Terrore Nello Spazio" and it's a very pleasant surprise. More vintage "space music".
@ segroeg - I appreciate the much improved copy of "Space 1999" 2CD.
Thank you very very much for LA Confidential; it is nmuch appreciated. If I can do something for you in return, let me know. And I gather the file is off the record, on the QT, and very hush-hush?
You are the only soul left having issue with that link. 23 downloads later you are the only human left that can't unpack it. I'll happily upload a PASS FREE link to you. I added my info to the PRIVATE SHARE DIRECTORY a few days ago. Feel free to request it from there.
Anyone else who wants a PRIVATE SHARE, TRADE, ADD-YOUR-PERSONAL-DESIRE-I-LIKELY-WON'T -FILL-BUT-WILL-BE-EXTREMELY-SYMPATHETIC -ABOUT-HERE, feel free to drop me a line. Everyone seems to wants some as of late. It's good to be popular. :)
boynotorious- this has probably been asked a billion times (though I don't actually see the question on the page) but any chance you can hook a guy up with the PW for the golden compass? I can't seem to find that one. Much obliged, I assure you.
@ isbum - To complement / semi-complete the "Teorema" soundtrack, here's what it has been used as its Main Titles theme: http://rapidshare.com/files/72681748/TC_Tears-for-Dolphy.rar
It's Ted Curson's "Tears for Dolphy" (1964); title track of a Jazz disc that I don't have.
This could be nicely sandwiched between sides A & B (#6 and #7) but the sound may be too loud, I'm afraid. Should I level it for you?
PS - Totally stupid of me, I'd forgotten to incl. the link!
Thanks for the Gordon Jenkins album. It's rather unusual for him - he was normally associated with his large string orchestra. I've never seen it before - the Dot distributors in my old country decided not to issue it there. Nice to have the opportunity of listening. I wonder what chimez would think of it...

«Oldest ‹Older 601 – 800 of 933 Newer› Newest»Ennio Morricone probably is the most interesting composer of film music.
Of course nothing will be the same without Max Steiner ,our master!
Of course scores by Rozsa,Herrmann are wonderful and we all have in our mind the Dimitri Tiomkin's melodies.
But Ennio Morricone is the only one who succeeded in composing for all kinds of films;from 1900 to Four flies what a difference but always a hit!and his western themes as well the organ from Amanti d'oltre
tomba are with us.
As a toast to master Morricone I shall say that his music is the music of Hope and not only in the
Love theme;there is hope even in light and action themes.Listen to
the main theme from Le Casse ,after
an introduction the music brings hope. Thanks Master for your music, because when we listen to it,we know everything stil is possible in our life.
@quinlan, thxjay & (especially!) Isbum
Many thanks for the Sol Madrid! And what a speedy delivery! Alot faster than this 'thank you' for that matter. You guys make my requests feel so elementary:)
P.S. - Our foreign friends on here are cracking me UP!

I couldn't agree more!

BIG thanks for it mate :)
@ tony - janus2810 can't locate his copy of Francis Lai's
"Les Petroleuses", aka- "Frenchie King" record.
I can buy it this weekend, but thought I'd better ask here if anyone has this? Now is the time to tell me, please.
Check out the poster at Soundtrack Collector, looks like a French version of "Bad Girls".

Manos Hadjidakis "To Klwtsoskoufi + Aliki My Love" (1962), @192:

And a bonus from the Peter Ustinov film. The track listing is different from the LP listed on Soundtrack Collector, so this is either an unknown Greek CD release, or a quality bootleg, either way sounds great...

Looks like it's pasta for Thanksgiving, thanks for all the great shares folks!

Ernest Gold "Tom Horn" (1980), bootleg @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/71262978/EG-TomHorn.zip
Re your post of Barry's "A Killing Affair", I recently acquired same. Does yours perchance contain 15 tracks, and most importantly does it contain any artwork? Mine is without, one reason why I held off posting, the other being (not having seen the film) I've got some doubts about its legitimacy... it sounds a little too Bondish to my ears. Now, I know Barry did recycle his tunes a fair bit, but this is just a little too close for comfort. Any help would be appreciated.
@ boynotorious - Nice looking blog you got there, tres professional. I can help out with a couple on your request list, if you are in need of an assist.
short as it is MARTIAN MAMBO has my vote.
@ boynotorious - Good deal- it's going in!
Best wishes on your new blog, keep us posted on updates. Cheers!
@ filmpac - Hope it's the real deal, I been in the mood for some fresh Barry's.
@ filmpac
Any and all help would be great. Especially if i am about to GHOST LIST something and am sure it doesn't exist. I love pulling a rabbit out of my hat as much as possible. My readers will love you to death.
As for personal requests, i haven't posted any because i really haven't gotten around to it yet. The list is full of non-existent and impossible to locate stuff like:
Bring It On - Christophe Beck
Kuffs - Harold Faltermeyer
Life Less Ordinary - David Arnold
Money Talks - Lalo Schifrin
Moonlight Mile - Mark Isham
Multiplicity - George Fenton
So I Married An Axe Murder - Bruce Broughton
Very Bad Things - VA - Soundtrack
or the seriously non-existant:
Adventures Of Ford Fairlane - Yello
Real Genius - Thomas Newman
Streets Of Fire - Ry Codder
i've gotten to the point in my collection where there is pretty much nothing left that is easy to locate. It's sad but assuring in a weird way. Better to help others and enjoy when the little stuff pops up.
@ boynotorious - I learnt a long time ago to never say never. I do have the following...
Kuffs - Harold Faltermeyer
Life Less Ordinary - David Arnold
Very Bad Things - VA - Soundtrack (nope, but a promo)
or the seriously non-existant:
Adventures Of Ford Fairlane - Yello
Real Genius - Thomas Newman
Streets Of Fire - Ry Codder
Well, these last 3 in soundtrack form, all of which have been posted at one blog or another at some time. As to score promos, I also doubt they exist.
@fimpac- First off, A HUGE thank you for Tom Horn. I've searched forever for this underrated gem of a score, so you've made my day! :)
Also, A Killing Affair has 17 tracks and I've made frt and bk covers myself. Nothing great, but it works for me.
Also, I really like this score. Yes, it has a bit of Bondishness to it, but that ok!
I'm terrible at descriptions, so I wont' even try.
Give it a listen :)
notoriousfilmpac - I've had a look at the Cd titled "Music by Ry Cooder".
"Bomber Party" from SOF is on this 2 Cd collection.
@ isbum
I'd be interested in any Ry Codder music. Especially from SOF, which was my favorite movie as a kid and still is now.
@ notoriouspacboyfilm - Are you fellas playing with my brain?
It is Ry Cooder, right?
Rye Codder is a sandwich you can get in Maine. ;)
What's for dessert... Quince Jones?
I'll have the Mousse Jarre, please.
the Berry Goldsmith anyone?
yeah, that was wrong on so many levels. :)
@ Isbum,
Re your request: (November 21, 2007 12:26 PM),
Just to confirm, I've already given. :)
Collectable Essentials
Just in case anyone missed these somewhere down the line.
Let us give thanks for their existence.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
@ 3410 - Sorry, I got that Tigre by the tail. Goodie it is too!
@ ruggo - Sweet post my friend, have a great Thanksgiving!
I was going to post a few as well, but "Soldier Blue" and "Little Big Man" would have bummed everybody out.
...;)(;o
@ rocket from mars - No sledding on Brokeback Mountain this year!
Hope your Thanksgiving is a happy one my friend! Come in for a hello when the tryptophan wears off.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
You know, the joyful moments when Harry wins a Wizards contest, looses his virginity or comes out of the closet. ;)
I know you can do it Breton. Smile!
Hi, new here,
great work by all,
any hope for
1. Delerue- Nobody runs forever
2. Bacalov- Polish wedding ?
You remember the "Easy Tempo" series and all the wonderful italian compilations in the same style :
I tried to make one myself picking tracks that doesn't appear in any of the comps above.
100 % italian, 100 % groove & melodies, 100 % Morricone free.
I hope you will like it (specially Isbum, 3410 & h2o)

Pass: unbearable bitch
The Mothman Prophecies (Jeff Rona) - Promo Score
http://rapidshare.com/files/71442997/MothRonaPro.rar
Pass: bug hell
and because i know a few of you are going to scratch your head and point out that RONA is not listed as having any involvement with this movie, i'll break it down for you: Mark Pellington hated Tomandandy's Score which he dismissed as weak on whole.
Be Well All & Happy Holidays. - VQ

Thanksgiving trivia: Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird of the United States. But it was Thomas Jefferson who opposed him. It is believed that Franklin then named the male turkey as 'tom' to spite Jefferson.
Woo-hoo, everybody just lobbed in at the same time. Thx Rocket & boynotorious!
@ quinlan - Kuffs on my previous post, should read HAROLD Faltermeyer, not Howard. Too early in the morning, need coffee!
A Very Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.
I'm VERY thankful to have all of you as my friends :)
@Rocket- Great to have you here again, and thank you so much for The Oscar, I knew you'd come through!
Have A great day everyone.
@ filmpac
Oh yeah that is it. I had just about written it off and was going to cough up the $50 to get it back on E-Bay. I had originally gotten it back in 98 when i use to be a part of this FTP Score Club. Sadly everything from that era recently got trashed when i blew a HD that took about 1,000 scores with it. I had only burned about 300+ to disc at the time and have since re-located or traded for nearly all of the remaining titles. That was one of the big leftovers. Thanks for taking it off the menu. :)
Hi!
Does anyone Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man`s Chest ( Expanded Score )

@ Segroeg,
Thanks for your ET11. Top selections; Some old favourites, and some sure-to-be new favourites. Groovy.
@ Segroeg
@ H2o
@ Isbum
@ Filmpac
@ Rocket
Thanks for your recent ones. Too much to mention individually (and I've been away so am still catching up, to be honest), though I must say, Michele Lacerenza's "L'Ira di Dio" is really sticking in my head.
@ Filmpac,
Thanks especially for "Alla Scoperta Dell'America". I'd guess it'd be probably the most-wanted score on ML at present.
I want to thank everyone on this blog that shares and shares for the joy of music and its ability to bring people together. People with common backgrounds and those with uncommon ones. In the end we can all hear a piece of music and feel it with no boundary and nothing lost in translation. thanks.
@ rocket
Thanks a million for The Girl Most Likely. I've been searching for it for a very long time. You are an amazing cat!
I haven't been able to download it yet, being via megaupload, but they'll let me grab it eventually...
I wonder if anyone has Micalizzi's NAPOLI VIOLENTA by any chance?
Gotta love that 70's Italian orchestral funk.... ;-)
@h2o & filmpac:

All The Best,
Rocket
hi fellow bloggers.
@message from ennioman.
i saw ennioman today and he said thanks to isbum and everyone else on board for the kind words.
also he asked if somebody could post ennio morricones gabriels oboe from the film the mission for the latest project of joyful music.
on behalf of ennioman thanks everyone.
all the best.
the score.
@ rocket from mars
You're a wonderful pal, thank you so much - it's downloading now.
Its appeal for me was the movie itself - I loved it the first time I saw it and followed it round the second-release houses evey time it showed. I even ended up buying an 8mm copy of it (give you an idea how long ago that was) but it was in black-and-white. Yes, the music, Jane Powell in a swimsuit, Cliff Robertson and one of my favorite character actors, Tommy Noonan, all came into it but in the end it all boils down to nostalgia.
Thanks again and best regards.
Track 12 on the giallo comp is "Dinner Time" by Nora Orlandi from "Lo Strano Vizio Della Signora Wardh.
@ filmpac
thanks for the Morricone album!
Great stuff I was looking for for years now!

Another trade i just posted. I don't recall seeing it as i went back over the previous requests but I could be wrong. At least it's 320k here:

A very early piece from noted composer Randy Edelman. Great 70s feel, with Randy on vocals too...
Randy Edelman "Outside In (aka Red, White And Busted)" (1972), LP @160:

Some seriously good music being shared lately, thanks to all, and you're welcome to everyone who dropped a thanks to me. Happy to see so many happy campers:))
@ Also, don't forget to share your JOYFUL Film Music with everybody!
Last 7 Days to upload your selection for our Monthly Compilation.
Go to the Main Page and drop isbum a link today and your screen name will be on the Cd arriving early in December!
@ isbum - You'll dig that Randy Edelman bud, methinks. Did you get Ennioman's selection there?
@ filmpac - Yes. I have The Mission around my place somewhere.
Got the Edelman, will let you know when I get a listen.
Kinda funny, filmpac, I had a Morricone in the wings too. The Cd version of this probably got posted at Morricone Lover already.
For Benoit.

EnJoY!
@ All does anybody have GIANNI FERRIO Per pochi dollari ancora , macarroni or pasta soundtrack . Thanks if anyone can help.

@Isbum
Feel free to kill the link if you think the release is too new.
@rocket from mars
thank you for your reup of porky's revenge...
about to give it a listen.. ;)
@ the score - If you could, let ennioman know that I gave both versions of "Gabriel's Oboe" a listen and would like another selection.
I am confident he can muster up more joy than this one.
H2o - I find this really funny.
For the Travel project, you picked
"Force Basta" from
"Il Giro Del Mondo Degli Innamorati Di Peynet"
For our Joyful project,
"Sei Mesi Di Felicita" from
"Dramma Della Gelosia - Tutti I Particolari In Cronaca"
The thought crosses my mind that you may be having a contest of your own. ;)Longest movie titles ever? ;)
Blog friend Carrasco has accepted to make covers for this one, our 3rd project.
Christophe Beck "Bring It On" (2000), promo @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/72031223/CB-BringItOn.zip
@Isbum
You're perfectly right, my friend, the DJ made a remarkable inaudible work on it.
The tracks are so perfect that he didnt change anything :)
@ segroeg - Haruph!
Stepping out to pick up new headphones, see ya! ;)
I don't think this has been posted before. It's quite good.
"Tokyo Olympiad" -Toshiro Mayuzumi
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LIV9YKO2
N-Joy! :)
Is this Nouvelle Vague the same as someone else (isbum?) posted previously? 20 tracks, starting off with Last Tango In Paris? If so, I remember thinking back then... is this a compilation, re-recordings, remixes, for the life of me I couldn't decide.
Pretty darn good, whatever it was!
By definition, it is vague. :?
@ segroeg - I can't kill it...it's too friendly. :)
@Isbum
http://rapidshare.com/files/72053293/125_johnny_dankworth_-_african_waltz.mp3
@ segroeg - Here's the version I got from my oldest brother's 45's collection.
http://rapidshare.com/files/72058316/CA_African_Waltz.mp3
African Waltz by Cannonball Adderly
Later 1950's ? Maybe early 60's.
Early 60's, for sure.
Do you need somme Cannonbal i got :
Nippon Soul, &John Coltrane, & Eight Giants, Them Dirty Blues, The Quintet Plus, Happy People, Music You All, Fiddler on the Roof, Sharpshooters, Bohemia After Dark, that's all.
Tell me. ;)
@ segroeg - Looks like the earliest recording is Sharpshooters. You wanna spin that one my way buddy?
@ isbum
Here is Cannonball Adderley's "African Waltz" recorded in 1961 with a big band. Credits are in tracklist.
Not my rip, thanks a lot to the original uploader.

Enjoy
Got bored when my family spoke and came back early to save my sanity.

Yep. There was not much to it. It was the only hold out from all the Christophe Beck Promos that i know exist. Thanks again.

Ancient Request: Anyone have the GOTCHA Soundtrack? Tony Edwards/Linda Fiorentino. Spies, Lies & Tranq Darts?
@ quinlan - Thank you my friend!
I did a little looking into this record and found out that the B-Side of my 45rpm has a different take on Kelly Blue. I wonder if this other version may have been included in one of the Reissued Cd's?
Let me know if you have knowledge of this being true or not.
PASS for GC is: shiny unhappy people
must i always forget that.
@ boynotorious - I notice you give different passwords for each download. Even though he hasn't mentioned it, quinlan may have some difficulty adding these to our monthly link files.
Most don't use them round these parts of blogland. Perhaps you could settle on using one for all.
Or none at all. :)
If I were concerned about it, my password would be
"thislazyassstoleisbumslink!" ;)
I can getcha "Gotcha" if nobody else has it.
@ isbum
:)) You make me laughter!
Why not let quinlan decide, he's the guy who has to deal with piecing all the stuff together that we throw around here.
@ isbum
I can live with that. Quinlan can have the deciding vote as it's the biggest pain in his ass.
On the same note... Who doesn't want to see my future "Beavis & Butthead Do America" release with a PASS of: tp for the bunghole?
Here is something someone might have missed but everyone likely already has. Also a trade post:
Nip/Tuck (James S. Levine) - Season 1 - Score Selections Promo
http://rapidshare.com/files/72083785/NipLevPro.rar
Pass: tell me what you don't like about yourself
I was really stretching the capacity of my brain with that one.
@ isbum
Whatever the next project is, I will post "Dr.Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" or "The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade" at next month, not "Z"....
BTW, did you receive my e-mail ?
@ H2o - You make me more laughter!
Email? Long ago, or like today?
@ boynotoriuos - I believe quinlan said his mind has very little stretch capacity too.
This phenomenon must be studied further.
@ H2o Ooops, I'll answer your email soon, sorry!
@ boynotorious
You make me laughter, too (thanks)!
I like your blog and appreciate the thoughtful passwords you come up with as much as the shares themselves. ;)
Thanks, bro!
@ Parzival
Your blog is super cool !
I also love Solaris so much.
Tarkovsky's Andrey Rublyov is on this site.
http://avaxsphere.com/music/avant_garde/iz_69.html
I like the idea of a contest of finding the longest movie title ever: let's take the IMDB as official source for a title.
I'll start with
"Il Tuo Vizio E Una Stanza Chiusa E Solo Io Ne Ho La Chiave", score by Nicolai.
Who can top this ?
Hi dear friends, some days ago I asked for someone who has Jarre's Island at the top of the world and other Jarre very rare scores like Topaz or Enola Gay.Can anyone help me?Thanks a lot!
@ h2o
Double-thanks, my friend! :)
This avax-site is so vast, no wonder I missed this (obvious) gem! Thnx!
@ omega
Off-hand, how about
"The Englishman who went on a hill and came down a mountain"? :)
BTW, your "selections" are just in the works...;)
@ pinscher68 - The Jarre download came from a person called
bertholdb1968 who, to my knowledge, has never returned to this blog.
@ steve - I've only had that happen to me once here, and I killed the sonabitch at around 500. They aren't saying thank you.
It's your choice.
Maurice Jarre "Island At The Top Of The World" (1974), LP @128:
http://rapidshare.com/files/72139126/MJ-IslandAtTheTop.zip
Every time I hear Mandingo mentioned a cold shiver runs down my spine, there are STILL people downloading that from when I mistakenly posted that album, I guess they never read past the links! Enola Gay has been on my wishlist too, for yonks now, one day maybe.
My nomination for longest (and funniest) movie title: The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!?
Sounds like boynotorious is on a quest for longest password;)
pinscher68Thanks for the answering about Jarre, all of you are so kind people. These are other requests,if you have them:
Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean (FSM)
The car-Rosenman
starsky & hutch- Shapiro (only score)
Gotcha - Bill Conti
The Coolangatta gold - Bill Conti
Madame de sade - Bill Conti
The Life aquatic of Steve zissou - Mothersbaugh complete score
Thanks for now and I hope to have not annoyed with too much requests.Bye!
OK folks, smoke em while you got em, Unheard melodies will be a gonna (sadly) in 24 hours.
@ pinscher68
Life Aquatic can be found here:
http://musicbypeti.blogspot.com/2007/08/life-aquatic-with-steve-zissou.html
Hello,
I'm looking for : The Boy Who Could Fly (Complete) (Bruce Broughton).
Thanks.
@ salm.d
Don't know if "complete", but there's a BOY WHO COULD FLY Limited to be found here:

@Quinlan
Thanks for "African Waltz"
@Isbum

Contest for the longer title, how about this one, from Piccioni :
"Il prof. dott. guido tersilli primario della clinica villa celeste convenzionata con la mutua"
@ filmpac
@ isbum
Reur question related to Cannonball Adderley's "Kelly Blue".
This is the whole story:
This track was recorded on February 28, 1961 at the Plaza Sound Studio, NYC.
If you go there and browse:
http://www.cannonball-adderley.com/45rpm2.htm
you'll find all kinds of information related to the Cannonball 45 Rpm Discography.
@ isbum & boynotorious & everyone
I think we should let each of us post the way he likes it, with or without password.

The longest movie title.
What about that:
"Quei temerari sulle loro pazze, scatenate, scalcinate carriole"
which is the italian title for
"Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies" which was already not too bad.
"Places in the Heart" 1984 Lp @320
Produced and adapted
by Howard Shore
http://rapidshare.com/files/72147844/HS_PlacesInTheHeart.zip
Filmpac - This has sparked my interest in sharing some of my Aunt Pedo's taped recordings.
Coming soon.
I found another long title:
"Confessione Di Un Commissario Di Polizia Al Procuratore Della Repubblica"
Didn't have to go far for it, it's been posted this month.
At the moment segroeg is in the lead with a 78 letters title followed by filmpac with 68.
@ quinlan - I'll post the 45 here.
Re: "Places in the Heart" - Features Doc Watson: Vocals & Guitars
Merle Watson: Guitar & Banjo
The Texas Playboys
Robert Benton's film featured Sally Field as a farm woman who's husband, Smokey, has died from tabloid poisioning.
Little known fact:
The Oscar for Male Lead with the Fastest Receding Hairline went to John Malkovich. Ed Harris lost due to improper use of comb-over and Danny Glover for wearing a hat.
(this is what amuses me during the long ripping & tagging process:)
Unusual pair of David's coming up.
Those damn East German Judges are notoriously bitchy about the Comb Over. I feel for Harris. He should have one that easy. :( thanks for the up.
Mein Herr, so deceptive. ;)
@ segroeg - If you have the "West Goes Pop" Lounge at Cinevox collection, could you post it for me please?
It's one that keeps escaping from my grasp.
Here is a link to "Behind Brigitte Bardot" by Pete Rugolo with good solo takes by musicians of the caliber of Bud Shank (sx), Pete Candoli (tp) or Laurindo Almeida (gt):
http://rapidshare.com/files/72093116/Pete_Rugolo_Behind_Brigitte_Bardot_mp3.rar
@Quinlan
The 3rd track on Pete Rugolo's is the track n° 4 on my Misraki's comp, called "Slow Vibraphone.
Frankly, i dont what is right or wrong ! Sure both are from BB "Et Dieu créa la femme"
@Isbum
West Goes Pop
http://rapidshare.com/files/72254236/West_Goes_Pop.rar
Filmpac requested this a few weeks back, and someone (Ennioman?) mentioned they had a copy. I said at the time I'd found a good version, so here it is...
Michel Legrand "Gable And Lombard" (1976), LP @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/72167810/ML-GableAndLombard.zip
@ isbum - Dagnabbit, now you done and got me feeling *really* old, lumping me in with Great, Great Grandma Stacey! Thanks for the rip bud, it's a cracker, jolly jolly:)) Also in the cast was Terry O'Quinn, last seen severely folically challenged and pushing buttons on an island somewhere.
@ boynotorious - PMSL at your password gags, notorious indeedy;)
@ segroeg
Thank you for your quick answer.
Thank you.
Does anybody have Tom Scott's rejected score for "Neighbors" (it's the second half of the recent Varese Club release)?
@boynotorious

Some might think of this Lp as Christmas appropriate music. So, this will probably be my only holiday posting.
"The Bible" and Other Music from the Screen's Great Epics Lp @320
by David Rose
http://rapidshare.com/files/72332892/DR_TheBibleAndOtherGreatEpics.zip
Produced by David Axelrod
The Bible, Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, Sodom and Gomorrah, The Robe, St. Francis of Assisi, Exodus, King of Kings, Spartacus, Song of Bernadette, Lygia from Quo Vadis, and The Greatest Story Ever Told.
Rose takes great care of these wonderful themes and, even though treated as easy listening, doesn't overdose them with orchestral flourishes.
I don't know which David kept the pot from boiling over, but the melodies blossom because of it.
EnJoy!
Come back Shane...
just wanted to type that for effect;)

Either of you fellas seen Gordon Jenkins "Soft Soul" Dot Lp posted at other blogs? I got a sweet copy here if it hasn't.

Isbum,
The complete title of Marat/Sade is
The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum at Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade. I think that's a good contender for longest title.
I don't know the Gordon Jenkins LP you mentioned but wouldn't mind listening to it.
Many thanks.
@ mr.t - Drop me an email buddy.
For some reason I'm not getting through on the one I have.
Does anyone have the recording sessions of Jerry Goldsmith's La Confidential? Yesterday I saw this movie again, and noticed several great themes in the movie that were not on my cd.
Cedric
P.S.: If anyone is looking for John Barry's Body Heat, please let me know and I will share it in return.
Thank Parzival but it's the ost.

I'm like mel, quite in favor of the Gordon Jenkins post.
Thank you
@ cedric and pinscher68
I have LA CONFIDENTIAL recording sessions and Mandel's AGATHA.
If nobody else has a handy-dandy live link at the moment, I'll post them.
@ QuinMel - Our friend chimezatmidnight was a fan of Jenkins. I was reading back a few months last night, and got a little teary thinking of him. Extraodinary
man.
@isbum
Thanks for David Rose posting. Got a special soft spot for themes from epic films. The more bombast and majestic sweep the better.
ruggo... Mine does that when it overheats. The heat sink and/or glue keeping it in place must be getting old.

BIG BIG thanks to all you guys. (Man i'm starting to sound like a broken record. Instead of thanks I might just start saying stuff like SHAZAM! and EXCELSIOR!)
@ isbum - Thank you for "Theoreme". I've only opened your package an hour ago -- too late! I had first reworked its cover from the post at ML's.
This is the 300pix alternative I came up with, Mozarticone-wise. Hope you won't hate it / hit me for it (unless you've got "21").

The symptoms of your computer seems to be a problem of electrical feeding
(i don't know if it's very english, what i say)
I think you have to change the box inside your computer, with many wires, you know the hardware with a ventilator.
I did the same with mine.
If you don't understand what i mean, let another guy explain it to you.
But your libido is obviously not the cause, if not your computer would be down since a long time.
@ segroeg - As it is often the case, the word "what?" springs to mind.;)

@ Rocket From Mars
My PASS for GOTCHA would have been:
a dr greene tutorial on how to remove a fake russian accent.
thanks for the up.
@ dylan - The Bernstein version of American Werewolf, contains the short score, the "moon" songs, plus a bonus 3:44 suite...
Elmer Bernstein "An American Werewolf In London" (1981), bootleg @320:

@ ruggo - Yep, symptomatic of a failing power box inside the computer. Cross fingers it is, cheap to replace.

@ comeback shane
Here's "The Stalking Moon", with thanks to the original poster.

let's try this again with VERIFIED links:
Rollerball 02 (Eric Serra) - Score (Import)

Pass: james caan can still kick your ass
Englishman Who Went Up A Hill... (Stephen Endelman) - Score

Pass: are those mountains i see or are your boobs just happy to see me
Okay then... maybe you guys can help me out with a few requests from my blog:
Noble House (Paul Chihara) & Two Deaths (Hans Zimmer)
I've checked into the later and it doesn't seem to exist outside of few compilation tracks. The other is out there. I'd just never heard of it or Chihara. Any assists would be great.
@ comeback shane - Just realized I've upped this previously, so here's the link, still good...

Hi all
Does anyone have Hugo Friedhofer's "One Eyed Jacks"?
Cheers
Filmpac, thank you so much for "American Werewolf!" The film was a favorite of mine as a child and I've always loved the soundscape: those wonderful "Moon" songs and Bernstein's wistful and sad music.
Isbum, great stuff (Mandel and Goldsmith). You guys rule!
@ isbum - Was it you or rocket who once upped Noble House? Got an existing link handy? If not I can put it up, if nobody else has it.
@ dylan - Welcome. It's just a shame more of Bernstein's score wasn't used, although the "moon" songs were pretty cool.
@ filmpac - My link died of loneliness, but a Noble death it was.
Alas, poor Brosnan, your number came up 00.
Thanks all for suggestions.
@ filmpac - Oh, don't do it man.
I'll re-up it.
Wait till you see my password.;)
@ Isbum & 3410
Repeated Thanks for THE BIG GUNDOWN. I love the movie and that theme is so amazing and heroic. It never fails to send chills. 3410, Thanks for those extra stereo tracks. Fantastic!
@ filmpac _ I spoke too soon.
I can't find it anywhere.
I think Tony had the Cd version and I ditched my Lp rip. Sorry.
Very ignoble of me. :(
boynotorious
Works great now. Thanks!
@ Isbum & Filmpac
Either way thanks for the assist. I'm sure it will pop up eventually.
I also got that previously requested GOSSIP in-route. If you guys want that post when it lands let me know.
@ isbum - Oh for pete's sake, what an ignoble state of affairs indeedy! Somebody out there must have snared it?
@ ruggo - Here's one to heat up your pooter's libido. Disco/funk soundtrack to a French slice of erotica, pretty darn good...
Mort Shuman "Sex O'Clock USA" (1976), LP @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/72295215/MS-SexOClockUSA.zip
Request:
Mort Shuman "Romance Of A Horsethief" (1971), LP only, starring Jane Birkin, yummy!
@filmpac/isbum
Okay, this isn't fair. Not fair at all:
Bringing up the image of Jane Birkin (and "Je t'aime... moi non plus" started rolling around in my head--the sexiest song ever sung)now all libidos are strained.
My power supply may never be the same.
@ rocket from mars - The Steely Dan soundtrack asked me for a password.
Got one? Or perhaps you can go back, Jack, and do it again? ;)
ruggo - adding in salt-peter to the injury, huh?
Yikes! My apologies for the sound quality on "The Runner Stumbles"
Just noticed this record is quite warped! No wonder paid so little for it.
Oh, well. perhaps I can do some sound adjustments.
Sorry all :(
I decided to delete the link.
The sound quality is just crap. :(
@ tony - bummer. It happens.
I got a Percy Faith yesterday that I can serve dip out of this Christmas.
@ isbum: Password? PASSWORD!? You don't need no steenkin' password---
wow. that's weird. I don't even know how to do that. I have no idea why it would ask for one. Is that Rod Serling standing off in the corner? Anyway---try this link:
YOU GOTTA WALK IT LIKE YOU TALK IT (The Original Soundtrack aka Steely Dan):
http://rapidshare.com/files/69955204/OST-YOU_GOTTA_WALK_IT_LIKE_YOU_TALK_IT_.zip.html
Bring IT!
Going for the Dan now. Thanks!
@ filmpac - It still wants a password. Can you download this bud?
Rocket,
some truly bizarre disco era soundtrack themes related albums would be a most welcome treat.
Cool soundtrack, by the way, cheers rocket!
He..he..filmpac told rocket to look at his end.
Rocket, you're such a character!;)

@ garak826
Here's my chance to contribute again... It's been a while but I am ripping :
Rent-A-Cop
Lionheart vol 1 and 2
I'll have them posted sooniish.
@ Paul and isbum - I just retrieved "Terrore Nello Spazio" and it's a very pleasant surprise. More vintage "space music".
@ segroeg - I appreciate the much improved copy of "Space 1999" 2CD.
@ Isbum,
Thank you very very much for LA Confidential; it is nmuch appreciated. If I can do something for you in return, let me know. And I gather the file is off the record, on the QT, and very hush-hush?
Cedric
@ cedric - You are quite welcome.
Thanks for the smile.

"Soft Soul" Lp @320

Sweet vibes and organ on this record. Somewhere between the alley cat and the roller rink. Fans of Piccioni might enjoy this.

You are the only soul left having issue with that link. 23 downloads later you are the only human left that can't unpack it. I'll happily upload a PASS FREE link to you. I added my info to the PRIVATE SHARE DIRECTORY a few days ago. Feel free to request it from there.

boynotorious- this has probably been asked a billion times (though I don't actually see the question on the page) but any chance you can hook a guy up with the PW for the golden compass? I can't seem to find that one. Much obliged, I assure you.
And the password is...migraine. ;)
@ tony - I'm having a bit of deja view here... I have a sweet copy of Lee Holdridge's "Forever Young, Forever Free" here. Do you want it?
Actually your the first. Congrats on that. :)
I forgot it originally and then posted it almost immediately after that:

There it is again incase anyone else was confused or lost. It's got 70/67 hits on it. I pray nobody else is having the same issue.
@garak826 - At 320 from CD with no images.
"Rent-A-Cop"
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7WXY6B8F
"Lionheart" CD1
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WQHYX85I
"Lionheart" CD2
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=JFAYIXMS
By the way. I'd hate to have to watch "Lionheart" again. Can anyone tell me what the proper sequence for the cues should be?
@ isbum - To complement / semi-complete the "Teorema" soundtrack, here's what it has been used as its Main Titles theme:
http://rapidshare.com/files/72681748/TC_Tears-for-Dolphy.rar
It's Ted Curson's "Tears for Dolphy" (1964); title track of a Jazz disc that I don't have.
This could be nicely sandwiched between sides A & B (#6 and #7) but the sound may be too loud, I'm afraid. Should I level it for you?
PS - Totally stupid of me, I'd forgotten to incl. the link!
@ isbum
Thanks for the Gordon Jenkins album. It's rather unusual for him - he was normally associated with his large string orchestra. I've never seen it before - the Dot distributors in my old country decided not to issue it there. Nice to have the opportunity of listening. I wonder what chimez would think of it...
