I have some unique DVD rips to upload, however I've been unable to dull the sound fx/dialogue to a suitable level. I've tried some freeware programs such as Audacity and a trial version of VoxReducer. I know it's not possible to fully isolate the score, but I'd like to know what methods posters like Master Cylinder use to minimize fx and dialogue without compromising the overall sound too much. Keep in mind that I'm using a Mac.
I was googling around looking for some info on the sci-fi movie "Toomorrow" when I came across this blogger who likes film scores and a whole lot of interesting (to me) stuff. Have a gander here:

He doesn't do full Lp downloads, just tidbits. Anybody who appreciates good chili and banana splits is aces in my book! :)
@isbum: I meant to say thank you, but I'm coughing too much from the smoke given off by that self-destructing post. My bowler can only deflect so much...
The IMAX films THE FIRES OF KUWAIT and SPACE STATION 3D had some very good scores, if anyone has a line on them too. Are IMAX scores quite rare? Aside from Sting's music from THE LIVING SEA, I don't think I've seen many readily available.
My apologies to the one who download the back covers from Michael J. Lewis “ Sphinx and The Passage “ With some typo fault. Here are the backs only with the corrections. Thanks for your leniency.

I made a very simple request I assumed would not be broken given the magnitude of the post: DO NOT REMOVE OR POST THESE LINKS ANYWHERE ELSE. I did it at the top of the post, MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO MISS, and then stupidly assumed it would not be an issue. I was sadly wrong and am paying the price.
The links showed up on five different sites that I know of in the last week. I found two myself and was directed to three more. I obviously would have liked to have them removed from all. I likely should have just killed those few links to protect the lot. Not that it would have mattered as I wasn't fast enough on the defense to protect them all. As a result, nearly half my RAPID FOLDER fell into the dreaded "SUSPECTED OF ILLEGAL CONTENT" area pretty much overnight. My account may be terminated altogether. I am left basically pissed off and generally disappointed that a few people here have so little respect for the whole that they are forcing me back into protect mode. Thought, as it was pointed out to me, this development should be anything but shocking.
As a result of this my posting days here are again at a close. I apologize to the few newbies that have class and will be unfairly left out of the next phase because of this. Understand that this can never happen again and there is only one way to insure that.
First: I will only be posting to my new blog. Second, when it does launch it will once again be PRIVATE. Third, if you were not a member of THE DAYDREAM, you won't be a member of the new blog. I am aware that a few of you will be miffed that this excludes you. I apologize and can only say that I have learned from my past mistakes in this matter. The subject is CLOSED. Do not e-mail me, request access, or even as much as ask if you will admitted into the new blog. It's pointless and will only get you banned. I will send invites when we launch and that is that. END OF STORY.
I had hoped to be open by now. Unfortunately, I have been in a happy type 3-D Hell at work all week. It's taken up most of my time. It is around to corner and no ETA will be given... EVER. Don't ask as there is no answer and you will only be BANNED as a result. :)
Again, I would like to apologize to the newbies that are playing it straight and get caught unfairly in this mess. Keep building your rep and maybe somewhere down the line I will again ask those on the blog who else they would allow in. However, that is not going to be a issue now.
Regards & Apologies & Goodbyes to some of you - VQ
@ boynotorious Thank you for putting up the links you did last week and I am very sorry that the actions of a few have endangered your account. Know that many of us are grateful for what you shared. Good luck.
I don't get why people still steal links?? Poseurs I say! Desperate fakes! I will say this boy. I've never had someone throw their blog at me before. That's what that 20 times 10 links post felt like! It was awesome but I hope nobody else does that here again!
I would like to write this – just because I discover a few month ago Isbum place the only one trusted blog, I don’t need to know other one, that’s not my problem, I like this blog same as my home. I discover many, many good friends here, and I never see a links from here stolen, it’s happen one time and not on franklynot on my own blog, no need to give you the name it’s closed. But I would said you something, if this it’s true and I don’t believe it, It’s always a method if you know the guy to resolve the problem, and for my case, this guy send me his apologies and we becoming friends in private. Some of you are on the best blog of all the world and you always talking from other one, It’s only my opinion , I don’t like that. Please respect this blog and respect all the people who came in. Even if you don’t like sometime what you fund in, it’s some music for every taste. After all what I read, Sorry if my word are to hard but that’s what I’m feeling at this moment.
@ boynotorious - You knew I was going to say this, I bet. Your comment has an all too familiar ring about it. Your act of generosity was to be applauded, but you sure as s**t painted a bullseye on your back.
You are aware, of course, that Franklynot is an OPEN blog, and as such we cannot police every litte thing that happens. Isbum does his best to maintain a sense of order, but it is a thankless task. Being open, we clearly also attract a small but dedicated band of lurkers. Ergo, there can never be any GUARANTEES that links will not wind up elsewhere. We've all seen that happen from time to time, the usual giveaway being a huge leap in the number of downloads. On the RARE occasions when this has happened to me, I just sigh, delete the link, and move on. However, it is grossly unfair to direct your angst at Franklynot, or indeed any of its regular commenters. I'll bet my bottom dollar the culprit has never once said boo on this blog.
Best wishes and continued support for the new Daydream. Look on the bright side, the loss of your links gives you the opportunity of a FRESH start, in every way that matters. Do not hesitate to request anything you need, always happy to help if I can.
@ boynotorious again - PS. I remember going through your mega-list. What the heck is "Holly Vs Hollywood", by one Douglass Fake? I could find no mention of either the movie or the composer on IMDB. Is this for real, or day I say... a fake score to a fake movie?
@ Filmpac - I'm pretty sure that Doug Fake is one of the founders of Intr@da records. He also composed several scores. My bet is Holly vs. Hollywood is obscure, but a real soundtrack.
@ Jean & Filmpac - You may think I have reason to get upset over what boynotorious has said. Life is too short. He did something from the heart and that's what was important for him. But you see, his on-line persona has done nothing to bank him any respect in the community. People took as a way of showing they don't give a damn. Some folks bristle at arrogance. I just see it as a trait that carries pitfalls with it. It amuses me too. :)
To even suggest that I was posting anything negative about this blog, it's members on whole, or in any way taking the blame for this fiasco off my shoulders and onto someone else is both dumbfounding and totally not the point. It is also a poor solution to "Turtle Up" and get paranoid. Someone suggested a more simple way to handle this situation would be to create a Toss-Away Account. Basically it would be bogus account that I would use solely to post in the bloggers forums and off my spots. That content would be reserved for said areas. I have no problem with that concept at all. I could use any other storage service and whatever happened to the links, who gives a s***. Simply put: POST, BABY, POST.
So much for that issue.
Moving on: My Personality? Not to long ago someone commented to me the best thing about the Internet was that we could, "Be whom ever we wanted to be." I laughed at this and took great amusement at the implied suggestion. Not because it was strange or typically untrue. I just simply wondered who the hell the fake me would be? It was at that point I really thought about disappearing and reappearing as some other identity. I would not be that hard. I already fake my speech, grammer and type to a degree. I didn't simply because it seemed like a gigantic waste of an otherwise respectable persona. With Izzy's comments above, I am starting to wonder if I made a bad decision in that. I am a cocky, arrogant type, pain-in-the-ass human being. And you all do not even know the half of it. If there was any confusion on that matter, I am exactly as advertised. If someone took this as an excuse to create this problem, I pity you. Said individuals are bankrupt as a human and I am far from worth the effort.
Whatever the case, let us all put this behind us now. In fact, maybe you should just delete everything in regard to it. Just my opinion. There is no problem if it seemingly never happened. :)
Hey everyone. What a fantastic site! This is my first post and it's a request. I'm looking for the OOP compilation soundtrack to Woody Allen's 'Hannah and Her Sisters'.
@ boynotorious - Personally, I don't have a problem with who or what you think you are. People is what they is, take it or leave it. And yep, you can create any persona you want, me no care. The only thing I was a little bummed out about was the implication that somebody at Franklynot had ANYTHING to do with what happened. You're a big boy boy, and you just have to cop it on the chin... as it appears you now have.
As for deletion of comments, I for one choose not to go down that road. You've been around long enough to remember He Who Shall Not Be Named from You Don't, or at least heard him whispered about. Let the chips fall where they may. 'Nuff said?
Said posts were all made in the last week since my post here. Three I had never linked anywhere prior to that outside of Private Shares. That is either a HUGE type co-in-ci-dink, or I think the better suggestion speaks for itself here. Neither solution absolves me of the stupidity of making said posts in the first place. Just a observation. I could be wrong about the origin. As it turns out I thought I was wrong once before this. It later turned out I was just mistaken. :) It hardly matters either way. Water flowing under the bridge.
@ boynotorious - It's easily left behind without ado or residue. :) Indeed, be what you are. I'm all for colorful personalities. Only bothers me when I have to get involved with something unnecessarily said that make others feel angry or stupid.
I hope everything sorts out in a way that makes you happy man.
@ boynotorious - Haha, an oldie but a goodie! We seem to be talking at cross purposes. When I say Franklynot, I mean the regular commenters ONLY. Sure, it is altogether possible that some unknown lurker took the link and ran with it. But that is the risk you or anyone else takes, when you post in an OPEN forum. FYI, I noticed RockNRolla on a torrent site, and guess what, there were comments about some tracks having dropoffs. Not hard to work out where that came from, hey?
Shit happens boy, and you just need to deal with it and move on. As it appears you have. Sort of. Attaboy ;)
@boynotorious - I am sorry to see you leave Franklynot and for the theft of your links, but I understand why. I want to thank you for your MASSIVE share last weekend and for everything you have shared with me and all of us here in the past. I hope everything works out the best possible way and I wish you good luck with your new blog.
Hey! It's Saturday Night (did someone mention S.N.S.?) Does anyone have the latest James Bond score? It'd be nice to preview it before I plunk down the moola for it (IF it's even worth it---David Arnold has never really 'done it' for me in all honesty.)
I'm not exactly sure if being angry that people jacked links of material that technically shouldn't be posted falls under the category of 'irony' or 'hypocrisy'.
We ALL are aware of what we're doing... and I've never understood how people get very proprietary over 'their' links. Once it's posted, it's out there for anyone... if you have a problem with that, then don't do it at all.
Only my opinion, but I'm stickin' to it.
That said, I hope the private blog works out well.
"Holly vs. Hollywood" is indeed a film score by Mr. Fake of Intr@d@ fame. I posted this score last weekebd I believe, and I'm holding the cd in my hot little hands. I'll post the covers for it over in the artwork section.
Check the Intr@d@ site, I think it's still there...
@brendan---welcome to a real friendly blog. hope you have a great time here. and to kick things off---here you go, from one of the Woodman's best :
HANNAH AND HER SISTERS - VA http://sharebee.com/9164fdf2
@graham the funky aardvark---Hey! what are the chances? I almost chose that moniker for myself! nyaaah not really---just kidding. seriously though welcome to franklynot and thanks for the link to QOS.
@ mr. remember - Have you given a Piero Piccioni track to our compilation yet?
Hurry up and get in everybody!! 3410 wants to give us a fantastic Cd for Thanksgiving!! We're going to close off submissions on Greg Lake's Birthday, November 10th. You wonder why Greg Lake, don't you?
Ever heard some of the organ playing on those Piccioni scores?
Anyway, you head on over and give 3410 a Piero in the next day or two please.
"Again, I would like to apologize to the newbies that are playing it straight and get caught unfairly in this mess. Keep building your rep and maybe somewhere down the line I will again ask those on the blog who else they would allow in." Indeed. One tries, but the actions of the few spoil things for those of us who DO obey the rules. Thanks for your generosity here.
@filmpac
Thanks for giving a clear picture of the lie of the land. There are ALWAYS lurkers.
@ 7 Black Notes
Thanks for the Fall of the House of Usher! Magnificent work!
@ Jean -
Something I found that you might be interested in (my upload):
This is such an awesome blog. I've been a lurker for some time but simply felt the desperate need to sign up at blogger just to post here.
Gosh you all have so much know-how about the things you post, it's a great pleasure and inspiration to read (and grab something at times too). Thanks! Also, thanks Cigarous for those B5 soundtracks.
If you don't mind a lurker-coming-out to have a first time request for:
Thunderbird 6 - motion picture soundtrack of 1968 by Barry Gray.
Just my two cents, but things are getting a little heated here. Are we all not receiving that which does not belong to us? I get it that there are lines we shouldn't crosso. I don't know the answer, but we have seen that strong emotions have proven destructive elsewhere. I recommend we all take the actions what we must and not use this forum to vent.
Thank you to everyone who shares here.
PS: Why is it a penny for your thoughts, yet I have to put my two cents in? Must be the economy. :)
I totally agree with you. Which is the exact reason I did not go out of my way to respond to the (add your favorite adjective here) that L. Ron Hubb posted. It's simply not worth it.
@ rocket from mars - Wow! Thank you so much. I can't wait to give it a listen. Woody's soundtracks are always a great and I've been seeking this one out for a while. Again, I very much appreciate your help!
I overlooked Quinlan's archives, but I can't seem to find Michael Giacchino's The Family Stone. (I know it's November 9th, but I like starting some Christmas Spirit waaaay in advance) Does anybody has it?
@ the master cylinder - Happy to send one back your way. Not my rip, artwork not included in the download but is available from the Artwork Department...
@ lane - Hope your "coming out" party wasn't too painful. Welcome to the Franklynot club, mayhaps a message in there for other lurkers hey :)
@ 7 black notes - Thanks for another great rip from the vaults of AIP, much looking forward to having a listen!
@ keving - Yes, it could well have been you who posted "Holly Vs Hollywood". In that mad Halloween rush, I prolly got muddled, sorry for the confusion. Thanks for the info, the artwork, and the music, super job all round!
@ j - Thanks also for Thunderbirds. THXJay has this theory that if he wallpapers the Artwork Department with lots of pretty pictures, some kind soul will provide the music. Seems to be working too...
@All - Help!! I'm begging, I'm pleading!!! Somebody out there must have the ANNE OF THE THOUSAND DAYS Decca LP. Please, please rip side B and share with us. I feel it is safe to bet that 75-85% of the people who have AOTTD in a digital format have never heard the incredible Tudor music perfomed by the New York Pro Musica on side B. It would be great to finally have a digital copy.
There is no expanded version of Little Children. There is a Complete Version of Little Women that is often mislabeled as a Complete Version of Little Children. It is not. Total hoax. I've seen no evidence to suggest that a more complete version exists. Beware.
@ Ghost In Reverse
It's actually still active:
Family Stone (Michael Giacchino) - Score http://rapidshare.com/files/71437260/FamGia.rar Pass: unbearable bitch
Who knew? Turns out the old account still has about 55 links alive. I will give you 24 hours to download this before I terminate that account myself. Got two new accounts under my company title and billing. I figure they will be less likely to get deleted if ever discovered with a Studio Title picking up the tab. Likely just wishful thinking on my part. :)
Some vinyl rips by online friend Filmmusicman. Some have been shared before, these are top quality so consider an upgrade. The first was a recent request by someone, I forget who, hope you know who you are. Enjoy...
@ jonny - Second your request for Wicker Man, and I'll add in the Silva release too. The 20-page booklet would be SUPER too:))
@ thxjay - Awesome job on the Phase IV covers mate! TMC has indeed gone private, but he very generously opens the vault to the public for a week or so whenever he has anything new.
Meant to post this on here earlier - put it already on the SF Planetarium. I'll be posting any further Barry Gray or SF-related scores on there from now on.
@ Lane - this is for you. Barry Gray, Thunderbirds Are Go: http://rapidshare.com/files/162516593/BG-TaG.zip
@ Isbum
Thanks for creating the SF Planetarium, sir - you are a true gent!
I know I may not be one who comments or contributes a lot; I guess I have been busy with some things, which can count as an excuse...
Anyway, I just came down for two things:
1) To see how everyone is doing.
2) To see if anyone has a soundtrack to the 1994 Willy Bogner movie, "White Magic..."
This particular request is a soundtrack with some score cues, along with some vocal music, produced by Harold Faltermeyer.
He is the man responsible for such soundtracks to movies as: "Top Gun," "Beverly Hills Cop," "Kuffs," and more.
Anyway, if anyone does come across such a soundtrack, or already has it, let me know.
Thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to read this, and a big thanks to the person who can possibly fulfill this request.
Good luck.
-Score-Brother
P.S. As a token of my appreciation to everyone on this blog, and as an act of "compensation" on behalf of my seldom comments/posts, I am willing to make some rare shares:
If anyone is interested in a rare soundtrack to the underrated 1989 teen movie, "Sing," Thomas Newman's unreleased score to the 1987 movie, "Less than Zero," DO let me know and thy will be done.
Seeing that Goldsmith Early Years disc pop up has got me finishing stuff i've been at for far too long, so here we go, Part one of Goldsmith the early early stuff project - here's the two episodes of CBS radio's Your's Truly, Johnny Dollar that have his name attached to them.. be warned, the sound qualty on The Blooming Blossom Matter is Tragic! Fortunately The Ricardo Amerigo Matter (1956) sounds very good. If anyone that can help fill out his early radio, telly or films I would be very grateful.{ : > )

************************* I don't know if you can need any of this. How early is early, concerning TV for example? I can't help you with radio, and I didn't want to post anything mor you maybe don't need at all...
mainly looking for Radio and Early TV stuff which includes things like Dr Kildare,Black Saddle,General Electric Theatre,Playhouse 90, Climax!,Studio One, Wanted Dead Or Alive, The Lineup/San Francisco Beat, Gunsmoke etc
Incidentally, not to confuse more, but the complete LITTLE WOMEN by T.Newman is very good, even though I think it's a DVD Iso rip. The Sony album cuts nearly every cue in half, while the boot adds substantial material.
Thanks so much for posting the Wicker Man 27 track version! I absolutely love all of the creepy incidental music on it that's missing from the later Silva version! Thanks again, and take care...
@filmpac - I requested TUNES OF GLORY and my many thanks to you.
@sandy - Thank you for the CEOTTK collectors edition.
@jean - I meant to tell you before now but kept forgetting. GREATEST CINEMA CHORAL CLASSICS by City of Prague is missing track #1/disc 1 (Orff's "O Fortuna" from EXCALIBUR). Would you post that track?
A request: does anyone have an early John Williams score - it's the soundtrack to Alfred Hitchcock's final movie, Family Plot? Any help much appreciated.
Here's an old radio-play from the 50s including some music (main title theme & some incidental score) by the late maestro Goldsmith, maybe this could interest you.
@ gunshotwound here your request with pleasure ( GREATEST CINEMA CHORAL CLASSICS by City of Prague is missing track #1/disc 1 (Orff's "O Fortuna" from EXCALIBUR) and sorry my friend. CD 1 – Tack 1
@ All- I added the following , profited because I will remove these links in a few days.
The City Of Prague Philharmonic. EPIC Story Of The World….
Here's my contribution for Family Plot by John Williams.
Both 2 versions of bootlegs as there seems to be no original score yet to date. No mention of 'recording sessions' so I don't know if ether is the same as sorei's upload.
You read my mind, i'm just putting a Frontier Gentleman download together today.... Can you confirm if it's definately a Goldsmith episode, they seemed to drop the music credit somewhere into the series (which makes me think it was all reused music after a certain point). It's in my 'not sure' folder for the minute as i've got about five early episodes where he is credited by name at the end . I know Wilbur Hatch(1902 - 1969) and Amerigo Moreno were also working on the show at the time anyhoo pardners, here's the definates i've got so far
Jerry Goldsmith : Rudy complete score http://plissken.free.fr/Covers/R/RudyDVDBack.jpg John Debney : Dreamer (sessions) http://plissken.free.fr/Covers/D/DreamerBack.jpg John Debney : Ant Bully (sessions_66 tracks) Bruce Broughton : Jacknife (bootleg) Bruce Broughton : desperate voyage
Here are 2 highlights from James Newton Howard's upcoming "DEFIANCE" score. Somewhere between "SNOW FALLING ON CEDARS" and "THE VILLAGE", without being as perfect as those two scores. But no worries, this is still very enjoyable (the main theme is beautiful)!
Glad to see the Indy box set is shipping. I have not received mine yet, maybe today. After they cancelled the stand alone Raiders, I thought something might be wrong. Waited a long time for this one.
I do believe Crusade was the last LP I bought before going to Cd's.
A huge hole in the Williams discography will now be filled. Can't wait.
edit: on the same link I provided for JNH's DEVIANCE full score in streaming, you can download the full kit including the whole score in 128kpbs (see the down right corner).
wonderful, 'snow falling on cedars' is one of my top 6 , I just downloaded the whole thing (me: barbarian, I don#t mind @128) I'm looking forward to listening....
:-))
by the way
@all
what are your top 6? At the moment, and during the years? I', collecting a lot (with all of your help to) for my personal archives, but I am grateful for tips and especcially for comparisons to scores I know... (like Rick did) that helps me to enlarge my 'knowledge'... :-))
snow falling on cedars is one of the soundtracks I actually OWN as a CD (one of my favorites), I could rip it @320. I could post it tomorrow evening, sorry, not tonight (tonight for me)
Dumb question here but I have to ask it anyhow. Any chance of a certain box set with a November 11th release date being upped soon? This question coming from a poor civil servant/score lover.
Seriously, you have my undying gratitude for ALL your contributions to the Artwork Dept. I am just gobsmacked re the Indy scans! Kudos, my fine fellow, my shout at the pub should ever we meet. Oh yeah, looking forward to Saturday:))
And the same goes for Jean, three cheers for both of you!
Re-up of Bill Conti's BAD BOYS, except I've added Track Names that correspond to the scenes the music accompanies: http://rapidshare.com/files/162902680/badboysconti.zip
Here are three excellent video game scores by three excellent movie composers. The first is the only one I ripped myself. Thanks to the originators of the second two!
Very thanks for the Golden Compass, but there are two tracks missing:track 24 and 25... Do you know? If you have these, can you upload only these two tracks? Sorry and very thanks.
Seeing the cover art for the LP "Genghis Khan" (Dusan Radic) in the Artwork Department revived some memories of 40 years ago. Does anyone happen to have a link to the soundtrack? It would appear that it has never been released on CD, and I would love to hear it again after all these years. Many thanks to anyone who can help.
Sir - I salute you! Very many thanks indeed. I didn't really expect anyone to have this soundtrack available. I really appreciate your quick response. I am downloading it now, and I look forward to listening to it very soon. Thanks again.
Hello: I'm having a great time on this blog. I love everyones comments, good or bad. I am currently looking for "The Long Kiss Goodnight" soundtrack score by Alan Silvestri. The score album and not the song album that is readily available. I am also looking for "The Prophecy II" by David Williams. I have the first one, but am looking for this second movie soundtrack. Thanks for any help or effort that may be given.
Has anyone done a score rip from independant johanson and his acrylic cranium? A couple of tracks were floating about the other day and they sounded amazing. I just hate standard cd releases!
I must be going senile with my randomness. Has anyone here been pulling the isolated scores from the new Blu-Ray releases of the Planet of the Apes films?
The biggee would be "Escape" but anything would be sweet.
I don't have a blu ray player myself, but I think it would be interesting to hear an isolated Planet of the Apes score.
I always thought "The Searchers" sounded a little different on the Cd than in the movie, especially toward the end of the cue where the lightning strikes. The plucked strings have no echoplex effect on the CD. Like they were drawn from an unfinished master tape or something. A minor nit on the otherwise excellent Varese CD.
I always wondered if Goldsmith wrote an end title cue or if it was always the intention to follow up the big shock ending with the sounds of the surf. This might be the only movie ever made with no music at the end.
@maimone digital... Great catch about "The Searchers". Its one of those weird things when you've seen a movie countless times and every note of the music is ingrained in your memory. Then along comes a cd release and it turns out to be a really fine re-recording or different arrangement. Given the age of that film, I wouldn't be surprised that some if not all of the score was re-recorded at some point for a soundtrack release.
The original POTA had no music scored for the finale of the film as far as I know. The liner notes in the Varese release said something about the shock of that finale being more profound without a score to punctuate it. I think it works well without music but like you I would like to think there is some lost cue floating around out there.
I have THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT but I'm not sure what bitrate it is. I'm thinking it's likely 128. I'll have to check when I get off work. I'll be happy to upload it if you're OK with that.
@ eric tuxen: Re: F-sM's Shaft Anthology. - Leave your email address here for a private share. I don't want to see it posted again while it's in print, thanks.
This a long shot. I don't know if there even is such a thing... In the early 90's, there was a cartoon series based on the MGM's wizard of oz. The score was by Tom Worrall. Anyone have it? (If there is such a thing.)
Hello: Thanks for the responses to my request for "The Long Kiss Goodnight" score. As is I do not have it at all, so any post would be appreciated. Of course the better the quality is always appreciated. But beggars can't be too picky. Thanks for all the hard work on my behalf.
Some Bernstein brilliance, Elmer conducts the Royal Philharmonic Pops Orchestra. Covers included in download, you can check out the Artwork Dept for a track listing if unsure what you are getting...
@ 7 Black Notes Fall of House of Usher could be the link of the year! No words,no sounds, only music with Les Baxter at his best. For the first time we can discover the wealth of this score(it was not always possible with the film). From AIP,DrPhibes with the"standards"used in the film, not on the CD,will be interesting;the unkown musicians are very good, particularly the trumpet player in Over the rainbow. Thanks once more for what you share with us. In House of Usher,I believe "the dark harpsichord" is a lute, playes by Vincent Price in the film.
Count Zero: Thanks for the incredible work you've done to get me the LKGN score. It is really appreciated. I really owe you one. The quality is excellent also. Have a great night.
Here is the (quickly) out of print A CHRISTMAS CAROL/A CHILD IS BORN 1000 copy limited. I'm 99% sure this is OOP, but if this post is verboten, please delete away Isbum.... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PPLE43JY

I'm looking for a rare holiday soundtrack album. It was a promo album from "your gas company" and features the Rankin/Bass TV specials The Little Drummer Boy and Mouse On The Mayflower.
My post of "Tunes Of Glory" has proved to be remarkably popular, and I've been asked by a friend if I have any more Malcolm Arnold to share. Happy to report that I do. All of these have been posted before, but not for quite some time. Some of these links go waaaay back, but are all still good.
GOOD MORNING EVERYONE: Just a few requests. "Wendigo" by Michelle Dibucci, "Prophecy II" by David Willimas, and "Salems Lot" by Harry Sukman. Thanks for any help or responses. Have a great day.
Rapidshare has a new security feature. All Rapidshare premium and Collectors account holders should log in to their premium account and lock it now.
This just announced by Rapidshare:
RapidShare-Security Lock
November 13, 2008 Various functions of the Premium- and Collector's Accounts can now be carried out and in this way be protected against unauthorized access. When the RapidShare-Security Lock is activated, the menu items "Settings" and "Convert RapidPoints" are locked and files can no longer be moved or deleted. All other functions remain available.
With the locking of the Account you avoid unauthorized modifications of your files and account settings. This is how it works: From within your Premium- or Collector's Zone, click on the red lock, located at the top left. You will receive a notification asking, if you want to secure the Account. When completing the steps, the system automatically sends an email to the email address provided by you, containing the access code. Please keep this access code save. You will need this code again when accessing the above mentioned feature the next time. Please also ensure that before activating the security lock, you provide a valid email address. You can easily notice if your Account is locked or not, be the colour of the Security Lock: Green denotes "locked", red denotes "open".
It seems you have been very busy with the scanner, thanks very much for the great artwork recently added. Some great stuff there...

Saturday morning I will be posting a certain 5 disc, recently released box set.
Don't miss the ARK or it could spell DOOM and it would mean your last ADVENTURE. Then you may have to bang your SKULL on the desk.
The links will only be active for 24 hours then I will delete them, so be ready.
Please try and purchase the set for yourself if possible, you won't be disappointed. It also encourages the record labels to release things like this for us score fans.
As requested by you, through your statement regarding Thomas Newman, here is his rare/unreleased and, of course, electronically soothing score to the 1987 film, "Less than Zero," at a mesmerizing rip of 320 kbps:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/zoejmc
Upon request, I have the soundtrack to "Sing" (1989) prepared for duty, A.K.A. "to be uploaded."
Thanks for the Thomas Newman 'Less than Zero'. I've downloaded it twice, but I can't unzip for some reason - any chance you could upload it without the password, as I think that's what's confusing my software? Sorry to be a hassle.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 825 Newer› Newest»I have some unique DVD rips to upload, however I've been unable to dull the sound fx/dialogue to a suitable level.
Thank you Kevin I got hit. I have the film and I see your covers, but I'm not take a look on the pages.:)) Thanks again.

RE: MY S.N.S. POST last week.

@ boynotorious - It's a shame.
I don't get why people still steal links?? Poseurs I say! Desperate fakes!
I will say this boy. I've never had someone throw their blog at me before.
That's what that 20 times 10 links post felt like!
It was awesome but I hope nobody else does that here again!
Good luck with the new DayDream!
Jean
PS: My apologies to isbum for this
@ boynotorious - You knew I was going to say this, I bet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
'Nuff said?
@ Filmpac
Said posts were all made in the last week since my post here. Three I had never linked anywhere prior to that outside of Private Shares. That is either a HUGE type co-in-ci-dink, or I think the better suggestion speaks for itself here. Neither solution absolves me of the stupidity of making said posts in the first place. Just a observation. I could be wrong about the origin. As it turns out I thought I was wrong once before this. It later turned out I was just mistaken. :) It hardly matters either way. Water flowing under the bridge.
@ boynotorious - It's easily left behind without ado or residue. :)
Indeed, be what you are.
Hi Everyone---
Hey! It's Saturday Night (did someone mention S.N.S.?)
Does anyone have the latest James Bond score? It'd be nice to preview it before I plunk down the moola for it (IF it's even worth it---David Arnold has never really 'done it' for me in all honesty.)
Thanks amigos!

Re:BoyNotorious:
I'm not exactly sure if being angry that people jacked links of material that technically shouldn't be posted falls under the category of 'irony' or 'hypocrisy'.
We ALL are aware of what we're doing... and I've never understood how people get very proprietary over 'their' links. Once it's posted, it's out there for anyone... if you have a problem with that, then don't do it at all.
Only my opinion, but I'm stickin' to it.
That said, I hope the private blog works out well.

Time for some pain in the neck, friends.

@ maimone digital
I totally agree with you. Which is the exact reason I did not go out of my way to respond to the (add your favorite adjective here) that L. Ron Hubb posted. It's simply not worth it.
Can all just move on already?
@ rocket from mars - Wow! Thank you so much. I can't wait to give it a listen. Woody's soundtracks are always a great and I've been seeking this one out for a while. Again, I very much appreciate your help!

Hi Friends,
Saw the movie today Anne Frank- The Whole Story. Beautiful. But the music also. The soundtrack by Graeme Revell.
Therefore this request. has anybody a link to this great soundtrack.
Thanks in advance, Ron
I overlooked Quinlan's archives, but I can't seem to find Michael Giacchino's The Family Stone.
(I know it's November 9th, but I like starting some Christmas Spirit waaaay in advance)
Does anybody has it?

@All - Help!! I'm begging, I'm pleading!!! Somebody out there must have the ANNE OF THE THOUSAND DAYS Decca LP. Please, please rip side B and share with us. I feel it is safe to bet that 75-85% of the people who have AOTTD in a digital format have never heard the incredible Tudor music perfomed by the New York Pro Musica on side B. Don't forget that the Artwork is a joint venture between Filmpac, Isbum and myself.
Basically Filmpac and me spend all the time uploading/downloading/resizing/posting/linking.....and Izzy stands around playing at being Foreman ;)
Only kidding!
(besides, it takes a lot of effort to stand around "looking" busy)
....Jay waits for a masterfully composed comical retort from the Izzster himself. Once he's finished hanging around that is :))

There is no expanded version of Little Children. There is a Complete Version of Little Women that is often mislabeled as a Complete Version of Little Children. It is not. Total hoax. I've seen no evidence to suggest that a more complete version exists. Beware.

Hello,
Does anyone have the 1998 Trunk Records' Wicker Man Soundtrack (not the later Silva version)? Thanks for any info...

@ jean - Many thanks mon ami:))
@ filmpac - A VERY,VERY great Thanks for the Malcolm Arnold,that's a masterpiece.
Meant to post this on here earlier - put it already on the SF Planetarium. I'll be posting any further Barry Gray or SF-related scores on there from now on.

Thanks for creating the SF Planetarium, sir - you are a true gent!
@All:
Hello, everyone.
Seeing that Goldsmith Early Years disc pop up has got me finishing stuff i've been at for far too long, so here we go, Part one of Goldsmith the early early stuff project -
here's the two episodes of CBS radio's Your's Truly, Johnny Dollar that have his name attached to them..
be warned, the sound qualty on The Blooming Blossom Matter is Tragic!
Fortunately The Ricardo Amerigo Matter (1956) sounds very good.
If anyone that can help fill out his early radio, telly or films I would be very grateful.{ : > )

Here's my contribution for Family Plot by John Williams.
Both 2 versions of bootlegs as there seems to be no original score yet to date.
No mention of 'recording sessions' so I don't know if ether is the same as sorei's upload.

2) 33 tracks @ 192 variable

Thanks for the quick response
You read my mind, i'm just putting a Frontier Gentleman download together today....
Can you confirm if it's definately a Goldsmith episode, they seemed to drop the music credit somewhere into the series (which makes me think it was all reused music after a certain point).
It's in my 'not sure' folder for the minute as i've got about five early episodes where he is credited by name at the end .
I know Wilbur Hatch(1902 - 1969) and Amerigo Moreno were also working on the show at the time

Complete covers, booklets and artwork for The Expanded Indiana Jones box set are available in the artwork section. My scans, lots of pages.

If someone already has the INDIANA JONES BOXSET, track 11 from CD5 ("Wrong Choice, Right Choice") would be welcomed! :)
@KevinG
Can't wait.

Hi,
Very thanks for the Golden Compass, but there are two tracks missing:track 24 and 25...

Whoops I just forgot. FSM's Shaft Anthology was here before and I missed it. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE re-up that bad boy.
I must be going senile with my randomness. Has anyone here been pulling the isolated scores from the new Blu-Ray releases of the Planet of the Apes films?
The biggee would be "Escape" but anything would be sweet.
Cheers to all - be good!
Couple of Ron Goodwin requests:
-- FORCE 10 FROM NAVARONE
-- 633 SQUADRON / SUBMARINE X-1
Thanks!
@Eric Tuxen
Final installment, ( for now ), in
"Jerry Goldsmith on the Wireless"

Romance.( June 9) : - "The Bachelor". (CBS Radio) (music supervisor)

@maimone digital...

A thousand thanks benevolent one.
does any body have Prince Of Darkness 2disc set please? please?

Fall of House of Usher could be the link of the year!

Well, night old boy, it looks like you're in luck! Turns out I was wrong and the files I have are all 320, so, without further ado...

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a rare holiday soundtrack album. It was a promo album from "your gas company" and features the Rankin/Bass TV specials The Little Drummer Boy and Mouse On The Mayflower.
Does anyone have a copy they can share? Thanks.

November 13, 2008
Various functions of the Premium- and Collector's Accounts can now be carried out and in this way be protected against unauthorized access.

@all
Saturday morning I will be posting a certain 5 disc, recently released box set.
@J (and for anyone else interested):
As requested by you, through your statement regarding Thomas Newman, here is his rare/unreleased and, of course, electronically soothing score to the 1987 film, "Less than Zero," at a mesmerizing rip of 320 kbps:

Upon request, I have the soundtrack to "Sing" (1989) prepared for duty, A.K.A. "to be uploaded."

Thanks for the Thomas Newman 'Less than Zero'. I've downloaded it twice, but I can't unzip for some reason - any chance you could upload it without the password, as I think that's what's confusing my software? Sorry to be a hassle.
