I have no problem re-uploading it for you, but if I may ask, what "software" are you using?
Anyway, e-mail me with the request for "Less than Zero" (iggmeista1989@yahoo.com), and I will happily send you a proper link within a few minutes.

If anything else is experiencing this problem regarding the "Less than Zero" score, please inform me and I will try to work it out.

@ all - The Artwork Dept is on fire, deepest thanks to all contributors.
@ cigarous - I see your cover for Arthur Rubinstein's "Fake Out", would you have the music available to share?
@ j - Copy and paste the password from Score Brother's post. Make sure not to include spaces on either end, this is the usual trap.
@ score-brother - Cool, thanks for the shares mate. Haven't download yet, but are covers included? And I wonder if you could do us a big favor, looking for complete scans of the "Three Fugitives", hi-res fronts, backs, booklets inside. Any chance you could drop a link either here or in the Artwork Dept? Same goes for all, a separate link for complete artwork would be awesome! Thanks in advance.
I can upload "Fake out" this Saturday or Sunday; I would like also upload a new B5 soundtrack, but I don't know if I will have enough time...I will try...

Hey while we're talking Saturday Night Specials, has anyone done a dvd-rip of Indy Jones and the Crystal Skull yet? There were two complete tracks up the other day that I think came from a dvd-rip that were awesome. To whoever did that one or whoever else may have - PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post the rest of the score. It's too good to be missed!
Hi everyone, thanks for providing a great service to all us soundtrack afficianadoes. I especially appreciate the 'Spreadsheets' which aid searching no end.
I have been unable to find a soundtrack which I thought would be relatively easy due to the popularity of the film it is from. It is: "The Aviator [2004] Starring Leonardo Di Caprio" I am looking for the soundtrack rather than the score but I wouldnt so no to both :)
Looking through the spreadsheets I noticied the soundtrack to an early film called The Aviator music by Dominic Frontiere.
Thanks again for providing a great place to visit and thanks for any help you may be able to provide me in my search.
Songs and score appear in the order that they appear in the film. Alternate versions of songs appear at the end of the album. I've given names to the score tracks aside from the 2 that appeared on the original album (SEA CAVE, SEARCH FOR LINA).
Cobbled together from a variety of sources; BASIL POLEDOURIS score and otherwise unavailable songs are ripped from DVD and have not been further manipulated (dialogue and sound f/x included).
The quality is rough on a few of these tracks, but keep in mind that a few only appeared as B-sides and/or on the original soundtrack album. I did not do the original vinyl rips so thanks to those who did the legwork. I've upgraded most of the tracks that are available in other places:
3 songs from JEREMY ripped from a Korean streaming radio broadcast:
Glynnis O'Connor - JEREMY Lee Holdridge - DATING MONTAGE Robby Benson - BLUE BALLOON (THE HOURGLASS SONG)
I have the LP, but no way to upload it. There was a South Korean CD put out by King Records in the early 90s. If anyone has the CD and can upload it or the LP, I would be very appreciative:
@keving: Thanks a bunch. I have to work an eight-hour shift this evening (6-2am), so I'm downloading as quick as possible! A tip of the fedora is in order.
@keving: Much appreciated. It does seem to be a slow DL (took about three hours for the first two discs), but I just assumed it was due to popularity and the server strain. Or it could be because my computer stinks. :)
If anyone should apologize for something so small, it shall be me.
Tragically, I was unaware of your post of "Vamp," as I quickly saw a request for it.
I figured that there was a post, but the link was - according to me - either nowhere to be found or deleted, so I guess I took action, rather than imputing research.
Please forgive me as I shall do better with such an action; for I shall never intend for one minute to betray anyone in this blog.
THE BARBARIAN & THE GEISHA (Hugo Friedhofer) THE ENEMY BELOW (Leigh Harline) HELL & HIGH WATER (Alfred Newman) IN LOVE & WAR / WOMAN OBSESSED (Hugo Friedhofer)
@ score-brother - Whoa, bro! You did no wrong, you saw a request, you filled it, kudos! I already had mine upped, not my intent to tread on your toes or trump you. Yours probably has one more track, it seems one was left off the new release, for whatever reason. No harm, no foul, all around.
@ keving - I think you've worn everyone out, thanks x 6 :))
@ count zero - Can do on a couple of them, but let's get through SNS first ;)
I have a really unlikely request, and would greatly appreciate any help in getting it fulfilled.
I was recently touring SountrackCollector.com and came across a special item concerning Bernard Herrmann's Vertigo score.
In a book published in 1999 called "Feature Film," written by Douglas Gordon, there was included a CD which features, apparently, the complete score for Vertigo, conducted by James Conlon. According to Soundtrack Collector, the CD has only 1 track, and it runs 1hour 14minutes, which is an accurate length for the complete score according to Steven Smith's biography on Herrmann.
Does anyone have this? or even heard of this? Is it a good interpretation of Herrmann's greatest score? I really wouldn't care how "accurate" it is since I'd love to hear all the beautiful cues not available on either official release.
Here's the SoundtrackCollector.com link for every Vertigo listing (the book is the first listed):
@Jean - All my best wishes for an "all clear" buddy :)
I hope it wasn't brought on by all that ultraviolet light leeking from your scanner whilst helping out at our Art Dept ;)
Get well soon!
@All - Just wanted to thank everyone for supporting the Art Department. It seems to be something that people have been waiting for judging by the amazing success!
Well folks, my transfer rate issues will soon be a thing of the past.........I hope. We are going DSL and with that, I hope I will be able to start giving something back to this wonderful place. I look forward to being able to fill my first request!
@ all - And here's some great news! Jean's condition has stabilized and he might be released from Hospital on Tuesday or Wednesday. His friend Jim has expressed his appreciation for all the kind words.
Your heart was overloaded with so much generosity... In a few days at the hospital you will have it brand new again. God and all we here want you healtly and happy, mon ami.
As a young Stan Bush once said, "Never Surrender" - a song from the "Kickboxer" soundtrack - I pass on the same words to you; for you have done more than just fulfill requests for music and such, and WAY more than make friends with us...
You are an individual who seems to let nothing stand in your way - even this tragic hospitalization.
Hang in there, man; for you are almost complete with undergoing unnecessary pain and suffering, and as you are on your way to a new and healthy start.
Get well, soon, and I wish you nothing but ALL the best.
Here's a couple of top class bootlegs to get your teeth into. All music, no dialogue or sound effects. The first was found on the now defunct Soundtracks Lover (aka Morricone Lover), with custom covers by THXJay (thanks mate). The second is from an unknown source. All credit and thanks go to their respective rippers and uploaders...
does anyone have a 320 rip of the Belle and Sebastian soundtrack for Todd Solondz's film "Storytelling"? i need it in 320 bitrate as i have a lower bitrate version right now and i wanna upgrade. thanks in advance.
@GrammFrance I am happy I could help. The Roger Rabbit Suite is good. My guilty pleasure is Nile Rodger's COMING TO AMERICA "King's Motorcade". I always loved that cue in that film!
Anyone have THE SEVENTH SIGN by Jack Nitzsche? Used to own this one well over ten years ago and it succumbed to disc bronzing ("disc-rot") before the great MP3 Age began. Thanks!
Man, you have to be fast over at V@rese if you want a new release. 1000 copies of Silver Bullet by Jay Chattaway gone in a flash. Missed by that much...
Did grab a couple of new Intr@d@ releases however. "Little Monsters" and "9 to 5".
Anyone happen to have David Newman's My Demon Lover (1987)? Far as I know, it's only had an LP release, back when. Or perhaps someone has a source soundtrack listing?
Anyone happen to have David Newman's My Demon Lover (1987)? Far as I know, it's only had an LP release, back when. Or perhaps someone has a source soundtrack listing?
Good news from Jean. He’s doing well and he’s already harassing his doctor in order to get a release from the hospital. Obviously, the doctor doesn’t want to encourage his eventual return home.
Jean's wife will pass all your best wishes to him.
RECKLESS (1984) COMPLETE Songs and Score (Ripped from DVD). Songs and score appear in the order in which they appear in the film. There was no official soundtrack release of any kind.
THOMAS NEWMAN'S first score. Electronic score is relatively brief and does a fine job accompanying the New Wave pop songs (INXS, Romeo Void, Kim Wilde). The score melds particularly well with the 3 INXS songs on the soundtrack.
Newman's prior experience in a New Wave band is evident in the score, which is a product of its time, but one that I believe holds up extremely well.
Unlike the many generic and lazy electronic scores of the mid to late 1980s, Newman's exhibits a good deal of texture, using a combination of synth and guitar, and effectively captures the angst and restlessness of the film's protagonist.
The opening song, "Understanding Gravity" credited to Newman and the Children of 13 has never appeared in any other format. It's not clear if the song even exists in a complete form.
@ score-bro - Cool, thx mate for Seventh Sign. What a forgotten gem, a preggers Demi Moore AND armageddon, does it get any better than that?
While we're doing a bit of Nitzsche, would anyone have Starman, also @ a killer 320? And front and back covers for these two titles please, booklets would just be awesome! Ta in advance, you good crew you :))
As I was not able to find the artwork for the score for "Starman," other than the front cover, here is the original score by Jack Nitzsche, at a KILLER 320 kbps bit-rate:
Could someone send me a new link of Philip_Glass_Nev€rwas_Sc0re, please? Missed to download this Saturday Night Special. Would be great!!! Here is my email: Sjkwelwe@yahoo.com

Jean
PS: I get some new CD when I was not at home I will try to find something I can upload :))))
@Jean En tant que professionnel de santé à Strasbourg,je vous souhaite un rapide et durable rétablissement. By the way,for a lot of reasons,including the wonderful score,Ben Hur is my favourite film;and if I had to choose one film score,(to go to an island...)it would be that one.
Well I agree with you for the Ben Hur Score, it's also my favourite film and as you know I'm crazy, I buy all the edition of this film an also the Ten Commandments.
To go to an Island... Well it's not easy to choose a score one thing is sure I'm taking a Rozsa score, But only one!!! Whow I must really choose between EL CID and BEN HUR I think I will take EL CID. But it's great we are both fan from rozsa.
@ georges edit - Did you listen the tadlow rozsa EL CID , 3 CD with the complete music, It's a great work. I enjoy them very much. If not and if isbum permitted. An SNS I will put them on the blog for a very short time.
@Jean Me too,I bought all Ben-Hur recordings;I quite know each note;for exemple in the Rhino release,the fanfare when Messala arrives at the beginning of the film is missing. I have the Tadlow El Cid,a very good job !
I'm looking for a long time the scores of David Rose for "Hombre" and "The Formula" by Bill Conti. It would be wonderful if someone had. Thanks in advance.
@ - Graham the Funky Aardvark,Javier, mel, Ron , Thank you so much, Isbum made a very great family here at franklynot, I'm really happy and proud to be a member of this wonderful family.
@ Ron & mel, I'm so sorry for to hear about your mothers, hit's not easy to express the deeply sadness in our heart when something like this happen, especially if this are not your language. But I like to think like this, it’s many stars on the sky and only one star shining, one for each of you, your mother are there and she’s take care of you, but now from the heaven. She’s waiting and one day our turn will coming and we will stay on her side again for eternity. I know what you feel , I’m a lucky man. My mother will have 97 the 21 December, but I’m scare every days, She don’t recognize at all, but I’m happy to be on his side. Mel I’m sorry to writing you so late , but I just fall coincidently on the message of sally yesterday. Please accept my apologies.
@Ron & Mel just taking a peak again, here, noticing I have overlooked important things, while reading Jean's notice...: My deepest sympathies for you and your families Losing someone as important as that is always difficult, no matter how old the person is, no matter what kind of relationship one has... dealing with loss is one of the most difficult things...
Death is a complex theme. There is a saying I know (in german), I'll try to translate:
the death of oneself is one you 'only' have to die With the death of others you have to live
...I know very well, the confrontation with dying yourself is difficult. Losing someone is something different.
I wish, you don't lose contact to the warmth of live and the sun, in all the griev that you expirience.
@Isbum GOOD to see you're back. I'm, thinking, is there a small god responsible for a working internet-connection? For some peoples there are all kinds of gods, would be only fair if there was someone for that too, so I would knowe whom to ask that you please not again be cut off... :-)
Hi all, maybe someone has the LP "Die schwarze Spinne" by Carlos Peron the 1983 Milan release and could make a rip ? I have the dl version but some tracks are remixed and I would like the original versions. Thanks in advance
Very glad to see both of you back, Jean please take it easy and don't work too hard.
@ Ron
My condolences on your loss, having lost my Father almost a year ago all I can say is that time does heal all wounds and leaves great memories of the ones we love.
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. It must be a great shock when you lose a family member suddenly.
@ All, especially Sorei (you didn’t overlook it, my good friend)
I apologize for posting this only at the Golden Age Of Hollywood shop. I should have posted it also at The Original Incredible Filmscorium also.
Therefore I am reposting it here now:
Hello my dear friends.
My heartfelt thanks are due firstly to my dear friend Sallie who, with her customary graciousness, per my request conveyed to you the news of my mom’s passing and thus the reason for my absence.
I would also like to thank Isbum, Tony, Filmpac, Buster, Seasy, Ruggo, Sorei and Carline for posting here their kind messages of condolence and sympathy; also to those who sent e-mails.
My mom was 96 and her health had been deteriorating for a few months, so her passing was not unexpected. My family and I will miss her very much.
I would just like to mention that it is largely due to her influence that I became addicted to music at a very early age; and if that hadn’t been the case I may not been lucky enough to have met such wonderful people as all of you here.
It’s good to be back with you.
God bless you all.
November 6, 2008 6:23 AM
Now I would like to add my thanks to Graham the Funky Aardvark and to Jean for your kind and touching words. Jean, there is absolutely nothing for you to apologize for so please do not worry. I know exactly how you feel about your aging mother and I hope she will be spared for some time to come.
Still looking for this Please Japanese Story (soundtrack) Elizabeth Drake Winner of Best Feature Film Score in the 2004 AGSC (APRA) Screen Music Awards!
Winner of Best Score in the 2003 AFI and Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards!
nomination for Best Score at the ARIAs in 2004 and nominated for Best Original Score in the 2003 IF Awards!
"one of the film's many pleasures ... like another character in the film ... original, delicately played and highly emotional, Japanese Story makes for a haunting listen. *****" (Erin Free, Filmink)
"Drake's score forms a soundscape that successfully embodies and combines the delicate sensibility of a Japanese tea party with the shimmering ambience of the Australian outback. There are many rewards here ..." (Brad Green, Urban Cinefile)
Elizabeth Drake knew as soon as she read the script of Japanese Story that this was a gift to the composer. Apart from the inherent strengths and fascination of the script itself, there was the opportunity for the inter-weaving and layering of elements of Japanese culture (Japanese instruments, modes, folksong and ritual) with western orchestral instruments, tonality and harmonic composition. The themes of cultural displacement, tragedy and transformation were as relevant to composition as they were to story-telling.
Drake's haunting and award-winning score to this Australian feature film, with its memorable use of the Japanese folksong, Chinsagu No Hana.
I lost my father ten years ago. We had a, let's say, complex relationship, and yet, hardly a day goes by without at leat briefly somehow thinking of him.
I would like to thank all of you for your heartfelt and warm words. They will continue to be a big support to me in the hard times ahead.
Mel, I hadn’t heard that your mother passed away recently as well. Please accept my sincere condolences. Unfortunately, these are the kind of situations that all of us will probably have to face at one time or another.
On the bright side, I am glad to hear that Jean has made a good recovery.
@ grammfrance - The Formula, thanks go to the original ripper and uploader, got a feeling it was either Isbum or Rocket From Mars. If not, well, thanks to someone...
@ isbum - There is a CD? I've got it labelled as LP, and the included covers are the LP, but now you've got me wondering. Sure sounds purdy for a vinyl rip. So what is shared might, just might, be the Bistis6 CD version and I didn't rename my earlier LP folder name. Who cannaknow ;)
I have been in the same choral ensemble for 25 years.
People come and go, and there's a few core toilers who have been there as long as I have, and even some longer.
Last week I looked around and commented that the list of our dead and gone probably exceeded the current numbers, but they are still somehow present in the music we make.
As the members of this blog ebb and flow but continue to swell with it's growing longevity, we will all invariably come across one or another who has difficulties, illness or deep personal loss.
It's nice to have a place made safe to mention such things. It's not pity we seek nor sadness we wish to generate.
But it is a constant comfort knowing the burden shared is a burden mitigated and fractured through the prism of mutual understanding.
@Ron & Mel - Please accept my apologies for being so slow and my condolences to both of you. Death is a hard thing to handle no matter who the person may be, but the death of a parent or child is especially hard to deal with. I lost both my parents and all my grandparents before I had reached the age of 30 but hardly a day goes by that I don't think of them. The pain will lessen as time goes by, but honestly it will never go away. You simply learn to deal with the loss. My heart goes out to you both. They are gone but not forgotten.
@ruggo - I am so glad to see you back (I was beginning to think something had happened to you) and I could not agree more with your post.
@isbum - It is nice to see our leader back with us.
I'm very sorry to hear about your losses... Our deepest condolences to you both... I had a bit of a row with my Mom on the phone last night... I think I should give her a call right now, myself...
The deepest of my condolences go out to you, as I know how it feels losing a loved one, and I pray that you both are well and you both can definitely be sure your mothers are in a much better place.
Sorry I don't have covers for this right now. Perhaps someone will volunteer their services and I can send scans to them. I usually ask THXjay but the Art Shop is keeping him very busy.
There is some official edition or not of "La mariée était en noir" de Bernard Herrmann? There is one that contains only about 15 minutes but I am interested in the complete. Thanks!
@Ron & Mel Let me too offer my condolences. As I was reading about your losses I was marking the anniversary that my grandmother (whom I was very close to) died this day and my father's passing will be seventeen years next week. Time helps heal the heart and the mind remembers all of the wonderful things. Both my grandmother and father loved music, especially in the cinema, and this group constantly reminds me of them and the times we shared listening. Our hearts and prayers are with you.
Both my father, who passed away in 2005 and my mother were very big fans of Frank Sinatra. So am I. I'm a very regular listener to Frank so they will be forever in my mind.
sorry, I didn't check that, I just posted the link... but it seems to be no problem for me: I'll download them and upload them together in one RS-Link for you, ok? :-)
@ sorei Thank you very much - I'm sorry for all the trouble. I got 4 tracks from you - 1 was a repeat and 1 was not from the Album @192 better than 128 4 out of 15 tracks so far Very hard Album to find. Thank you again sorei - I will repay your help
SNS Just Before I was sick I ad some for put on SNS, well for 48H00 please hurry, the post will be deleted after the 48h00. And if I forgotten isbum will do it and realy I hope so.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/47mqwp
3 songs from JEREMY ripped from a Korean streaming radio broadcast:
Glynnis O'Connor - JEREMY
Lee Holdridge - DATING MONTAGE
Robby Benson - BLUE BALLOON (THE HOURGLASS SONG)
I have the LP, but no way to upload it. There was a South Korean CD put out by King Records in the early 90s. If anyone has the CD and can upload it or the LP, I would be very appreciative:

@keving: Thanks a bunch. I have to work an eight-hour shift this evening (6-2am), so I'm downloading as quick as possible! A tip of the fedora is in order.
@kidflash
Let me know if you don't get it all, arrangements can be made for private share. Here's to the working man!
@all
Glad everyone is enjoying the box set, close to 80 downloads so far.
@KEVING
A tip of the fedora indeed. May good fortune smile on you.
@ everyone
Can anyone pony up a dvd-rip of the "Crystal Skull" score? That would truly make the box complete.
@keving: Much appreciated. It does seem to be a slow DL (took about three hours for the first two discs), but I just assumed it was due to popularity and the server strain. Or it could be because my computer stinks. :)
Does any one have Cd rip of Alexandre Desplat these scores

:-)
good night everybody...
@ keving
Thank you :)
@Filmpac:
-Score-Brother
Anyone have the sold out Intrada editions of:
THE BARBARIAN & THE GEISHA (Hugo Friedhofer)
THE ENEMY BELOW (Leigh Harline)
HELL & HIGH WATER (Alfred Newman)
IN LOVE & WAR / WOMAN OBSESSED (Hugo Friedhofer)
Thanks!
@ count zero - Can do on a couple of them, but let's get through SNS first ;)
@ boogiepop - Thanks also!
@Filmpac:

Take care.

to Jean, notre frere en musique
Hi gang,
I have a really unlikely request, and would greatly appreciate any help in getting it fulfilled.
Here's the SoundtrackCollector.com link for every Vertigo listing (the book is the first listed):
http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/catalog/soundtrackdetail.php?movieid=2761
And here is the Amazon link to the book, which is out of print and very expensive:
http://www.amazon.com/Feature-Film-Book-Douglas-Gordon/dp/1902201051/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1226815348&sr=1-1
Again, thanks to anyone who can help and everyone else for all the great stuff posted here!
Many thanks to keving (as Sallah might say, "You are the Monarch of the Seaaaaa......") and boogiepop (again)! :)
And best wishes, Jean, toward a speedy recovery!
@keving: One problem I did notice is the last track on disc 3 cut out early, perhaps a minute or so. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?
No other problems so far.
(Did I say thanks? Cause I need to say it again.)
@ sorei
if nobody beats me to it, I'll post Prosp€ro's books tonite.

Best wishes on a speedy recovery. I myself am wearing a Cardionet heart monitor to help figure out what's wrong with my pump.
Seems like everyone I know is having heart trouble lately.
@Keving
The final track of disc 3 from the adventure box does indeed stop short of completion by a minute or so.
Is it possible for a re-up of that track?
@Jean - All my best wishes for an "all clear" buddy :)
I hope it wasn't brought on by all that ultraviolet light leeking from your scanner whilst helping out at our Art Dept ;)
Get well soon!
@All - Just wanted to thank everyone for supporting the Art Department. It seems to be something that people have been waiting for judging by the amazing success!
Cheers guys!
@Jean
All my best wishes to you for a speedy recovery and be back with us soon.
I'm looking for the Varèse Sarabande's edition "Screen themes", conducted by the great JOHN SCOTT. Thanks.
Re: jean
It's a unique quality of this community to which we belong that we are so affected by the illness of one of it's members.
Once again, we are reminded that no man is an island.
We are not only linked by the love of music which has brought us together, but a special love for each other.
No longer strangers, we gather our thoughts and prayers and wish Jean a speedy recovery and hope he is back with us sooner than later.
@ Jean
All the best for a full and speedy recovery. Best to all your family as well
I posted my scans of the covers to this album in the art dept earlier. If anyone wanted the album, here it is :)

@ filmpac - Many thanks for your positive update! I came late here, now is past 4 a.m. my time, and totally unaware of these events.
@ Jean - Please... Take care to fully recuperate.
@Jean:
Get well, soon, and I wish you nothing but ALL the best.

hey all,
does anyone have a 320 rip of the Belle and Sebastian soundtrack for Todd Solondz's film "Storytelling"? i need it in 320 bitrate as i have a lower bitrate version right now and i wanna upgrade. thanks in advance.
Merci bien, scoredaddy!!! Thank you very much!!
The suite from "Roger Rabbit" conducted by John Scott is great!
@GrammFrance
I am happy I could help. The Roger Rabbit Suite is good. My guilty pleasure is Nile Rodger's COMING TO AMERICA "King's Motorcade". I always loved that cue in that film!
Is that Varese SCREEN THEMES rare or something? I have an original CD I could part with, if anyone's a stickler for ownership. :)
Anyone have THE SEVENTH SIGN by Jack Nitzsche? Used to own this one well over ten years ago and it succumbed to disc bronzing ("disc-rot") before the great MP3 Age began. Thanks!
@Count Zero:
I think I may actually have that...
Though, I would need some time to see if I still do.
If I do have it, I will let you know.
-Score-Brother
Man, you have to be fast over at V@rese if you want a new release. 1000 copies of Silver Bullet by Jay Chattaway gone in a flash. Missed by that much...
Did grab a couple of new Intr@d@ releases however. "Little Monsters" and "9 to 5".
Word! Those Silver Bullets gone in sixty seconds.
Anyone happen to have David Newman's My Demon Lover (1987)? Far as I know, it's only had an LP release, back when. Or perhaps someone has a source soundtrack listing?
Muchas gracias, mi gente.

I have found a polish (or something like that) link, but I can't seem to be able to use it, and it's the only link there seems to be?

Good news from Jean. He’s doing well and he’s already harassing his doctor in order to get a release from the hospital. Obviously, the doctor doesn’t want to encourage his eventual return home.
Jean's wife will pass all your best wishes to him.
Yes, the Nile Rodgers' score is fantastic and the theme from this album one of the best "action" themes. Thanks again!
Does anybody have "What Just Happened"? It features Marcelo Zarvos and VA. Thanks in advance.
It's not clear if the song even exists in a complete form.

http://lpcoverlover.com/category/soundtracks/
@Jean
En tant que professionnel de santé à Strasbourg,je vous souhaite un rapide et durable rétablissement.
By the way,for a lot of reasons,including the wonderful score,Ben Hur is my favourite film;and if I had to choose one film score,(to go to an island...)it would be that one.
@Jean: Welcome back.
@Score-brother: Thanks for Starman.
@ Kidflash - Many thanks, happy to be home again.
@ georges edit - Did you listen the tadlow rozsa EL CID , 3 CD with the complete music, It's a great work. I enjoy them very much. If not and if isbum permitted. An SNS I will put them on the blog for a very short time.
Good to see you back Jean
@Jean
Me too,I bought all Ben-Hur recordings;I quite know each note;for exemple in the Rhino release,the fanfare when Messala arrives at the beginning of the film is missing.
I have the Tadlow El Cid,a very good job !
Just checking to see if these Lp soundtracks are already in circulation at a decent bit rate.
"The Loveless" 1983 by Robert Gordon
"Winter Equinox" 1976 by Dennis Dragon
"Love Songs" 1985 by Michel Legrand

Good to see you back Jean. Welcome Again

Jean, Welcome back. It's good to hear from you again. Stay well my friend.
At this moment i'm not in a great mood for music or whatever because my mother died last sunday unexpectedly.
But I'll be back!
Ron
@isbum
Hi. I would definitely like the Legrand 'Love Songs'. Not familiar with that album. If possible.
Is anyone aware of a recording of the score the the John Mills TV 'Quatermass', by Marc Wilkinson and Nic Rowley?
cheers
I'm looking for a long time the scores of David Rose for "Hombre" and "The Formula" by Bill Conti. It would be wonderful if someone had. Thanks in advance.
This week will put some interesting link!
@Ron & Mel
just taking a peak again, here, noticing I have overlooked important things, while reading Jean's notice...:
My deepest sympathies for you and your families
Losing someone as important as that is always difficult, no matter how old the person is, no matter what kind of relationship one has...
dealing with loss is one of the most difficult things...
Death is a complex theme.
There is a saying I know (in german), I'll try to translate:
the death of oneself is one you 'only' have to die
With the death of others you have to live
...I know very well, the confrontation with dying yourself is difficult.
Losing someone is something different.
I wish, you don't lose contact to the warmth of live and the sun, in all the griev that you expirience.
@Isbum
GOOD to see you're back. I'm, thinking, is there a small god responsible for a working internet-connection? For some peoples there are all kinds of gods, would be only fair if there was someone for that too, so I would knowe whom to ask that you please not again be cut off...
:-)
@ Ron & Mel
My thoughts are with you both
Hi all,
maybe someone has the LP "Die schwarze Spinne" by Carlos Peron the 1983 Milan release and could make a rip ? I have the dl version but some tracks are remixed and I would like the original versions.
Thanks in advance
@ Isbum and Jean
Very glad to see both of you back, Jean please take it easy and don't work too hard.
@ Ron
My condolences on your loss, having lost my Father almost a year ago all I can say is that time does heal all wounds and leaves great memories of the ones we love.
@ Sandy & KevinG, thank you so much. I will take care of me , live is to short.
@ Ron
Thanks and God's blessings to you all.

"one of the film's many pleasures ... like another character in the film ... original, delicately played and highly emotional, Japanese Story makes for a haunting listen. *****"
(Erin Free, Filmink)
"Drake's score forms a soundscape that successfully embodies and combines the delicate sensibility of a Japanese tea party with the shimmering ambience of the Australian outback. There are many rewards here ..."
(Brad Green, Urban Cinefile)
Elizabeth Drake knew as soon as she read the script of Japanese Story that this was a gift to the composer. Apart from the inherent strengths and fascination of the script itself, there was the opportunity for the inter-weaving and layering of elements of Japanese culture (Japanese instruments, modes, folksong and ritual) with western orchestral instruments, tonality and harmonic composition. The themes of cultural displacement, tragedy and transformation were as relevant to composition as they were to story-telling.
Drake's haunting and award-winning score to this Australian feature film, with its memorable use of the Japanese folksong, Chinsagu No Hana.

the only link I found is this one:

@Mel
don't apologize.
:-)
I lost my father ten years ago.
We had a, let's say, complex relationship, and yet, hardly a day goes by without at leat briefly somehow thinking of him.
@ sorei
Thank you very much for the link.
128 kbps is better than nothing.
It's not working for me at this time ?
I will keep trying.
Thanks
John
Sorei, Jean, Mel Graham, KevinG and others.
Dear friends,
I would like to thank all of you for your heartfelt and warm words.
Best regards,
Ron
@ Ron
Thank you too, Ron, your kind words of condolence for my mom are much appreciated.
Jean,
Nice to know that you are back and well.
Ron,
My deepest sympathies in this difficult hour.
Best regards.
Did anyone pick up Paul Oakenfold's soundtrack to "Nobel Son" yet?
I'd sure like to have a listen before buying it.

@ grammfrance - The Formula, thanks go to the original ripper and uploader, got a feeling it was either Isbum or Rocket From Mars. If not, well, thanks to someone...
Bill Conti "The Formula" (1980), LP @320:

Condolences to those suffering through the loss of a loved one, and much happiness for those returning to the fold.
@ isbum - Forgot to mention, those three scores you mentioned, I haven't seen any of them shared before. Thanks bud :))
I think Rocket shared the Lp and Bistis6 shared the Cd of Conti's Formula.
Hi,
@ Ron
Accept my condolences, and a friendly thought...
@ filmpac
Do you have the "Fake Out" of Rubinstein? I have no message of you since last sunday...
Thanks
Thanks to Filmpac for the wonderful Bill Conti's score!!!
'tweren't me, and as far as I know there has never been a CD of THE FORMULA, LP only.

@ cigarous - Oh crikey, sorry bud, I plum forgot all about it. Thanks for the upload AND the reminder, faking out now. Cheers!
@ grammfrance - Ok, well, that sorts that out, LP it is. You're welcome, and thanks to Rocket!
This is a good place to be in difficult times.
@Ruggo
thank you for your words. I agree with you, there are a lot of places, where themes like that, to express things like that, are not welcome.
it makes this place AND the people here special, I think.
And I like that thought.
best wishes
and good night

@isbum
If you have a rip of The Loveless, I'd love to get a copy.
I'm thinking of the Kathryn Bigelow film. Is it the same one?
Thanks in Advance.
John
@ j. j. Banks _ it is the Bigelow film. I'll post it soon then!
@isbum.
Thanks a million. That would be terrific.
To Ron & Mel,
I'm very sorry to hear about your losses... Our deepest condolences to you both...
I had a bit of a row with my Mom on the phone last night... I think I should give her a call right now, myself...
Best wishes and regards to you both.
@ Gunshotwound and --mcc
Thank you both for your kind words of condolence.
--mcc, yes - life is far too short to have rows - especially with our closest relatives.
@Ron & Mel:
The deepest of my condolences go out to you, as I know how it feels losing a loved one, and I pray that you both are well and you both can definitely be sure your mothers are in a much better place.

@ Joe Banks - Here's the record.

Sorry I don't have covers for this right now. Perhaps someone will volunteer their services and I can send scans to them. I usually ask THXjay but the Art Shop is keeping him very busy.
enjoy!
@Score-Brother.
Thanks for your kind words. Much appreciated.
Ron
There is some official edition or not of "La mariée était en noir" de Bernard Herrmann? There is one that contains only about 15 minutes but I am interested in the complete. Thanks!
@Ron & Mel
Let me too offer my condolences.
The edition of "The formula" is available on CD for download?
However the recording of the LP ("The formula") is excellent!!!
The last thing: If someone asks for a CD of Bernard Herrmann (I have all his discography, I think)link will gladly!
Can anyone provide a link for the following titles?:
The Long Ships - Dusan Radic
The War Lord - Jerome Moross
Many thanks to anyone who can help.
Some Mother's Son - 1996 - Bill Whelan

Thank you both for your kind words.
And it is true, time heals all wounds.
Both my father, who passed away in 2005 and my mother were very big fans of Frank Sinatra. So am I. I'm a very regular listener to Frank so they will be forever in my mind.
Thanks again,
Ron
