Does anyone has Beyond The Law (expanded) (by Riz Ortolani)?
Hi, I´m new in this blog, I´m so happy I find it. I´ll be sharing scores from my personal collection to all of you.
And of course, requesting some difficult soundtracks that had been lost in time...
So, before anything else, Does anyone have this one?
Draw! (1984) by Kenneth Wannberg
Its a mid 80s comedy western with Kirk Douglas and James Coburn. I´ve been looking for this one for many years ago.
Anyway...
Merry Christmas to all of you!!!
@ all
There are four ages in a man's life
1. The time he believes in Father Christmas
2. The time he no longer believes in Father Christmas
3. The time he is Father Christmas
4. The time he looks like Father Christmas
Hopefully, as far as I am concerned, I still believe in Father Christmas, or I try hard...
What about you?
I wish a merry Christmas to all of you and an exceptional year 2009 full of happiness, love an peace for you and those who are dear to you. Let me hope that we'll be still all together in this wonderful place in a year time from now.
My deepest feelings to you all!
@ Quinlan - I could not have said it better. (and yes, I fit into the number 4 slot perfectly.)
@ All- Warm Wishes for a Merry Chritmas to all of you! You are such a great bunch of people.
May God Bless Us, Every One!
Wishing all a Merry Christmas and a glorious New Year.
In such company as this, I can contemplate nothing less, even as this extended family continues to grow.
Thanks for those nice sentiments!
Here's an interesting bootleg I ran across.

I've got a quick request that will likely be void in 4 days when the new month/year is put up. Music from the children's television's series Pee-wee's Playhouse. Composed by many diverse composers, including Danny Elfman, Mark Mothersbaugh, George Clinton, Mark Snow, etc. etc. etc. I already have the four tracks off of Danny Elfman's Music for a Darkened Theatre Vol. 2 and the one track off of Mark Snow's The Snow Files. Plus the theme song by Cyndi Lauper. But all the rest of it is unreleased! I'd especially love to hear the closing theme again, with Pee-wee riding his scooter off into the nether regions...
Any help here, guys? Not sure where else to turn.

@All
Boys and Girls, the lesson of the day is BACK UP, BACK UP and BACK UP some more.
Today my "startup drive" bit the dust, apparently as I cannot get it to mount.
Luckily my iTunes library was stored on an external disk and, hopefully, can be rescued. I lost everything else it seems, including over 1GB of covers plus who knows what else. I won't know until I look for something and see its not there.
BACK UP boys and Girls...
@octagonproplex - You are not the only one having problems with RapidShare. I have not been able to upload for the past two weeks and I don't see that changing in the near future and I don't know why. As if that weren't problem enough, now I can't download. RapidShare says I am alreading downloading a file (which I am not) and it won't let me do anything until the download it thinks I am doing is done. I don't know how or even if I can fix the problems and it is driving me crazy. I am totally shut out.
Somebody just shoot me now and get it over with. I have had enough.
Computer woes seem to be the order of the day, sigh.
@ keving - The problem is sometimes with your operating system, and not the drive itself. Don't despair just yet, a reinstall will often fix it. I know you run on a Mac, so can't give you too much advice, except to say take it to a professional. Data can often be recovered even if the problem does lie with the drive. Good luck bud!
@ gsw - Disconnect and reconnect. If that doesn't work, my guess is you've been hijacked by a virus or a trojan, and are running through some proxy server. If this is the case, you should check it out immediately. Especially if you are on a plan that charges for extra usage, they can get REAL expensive REAL fast if someone is stealing your bandwidth. Seriously mate, put the gun down and get busy on this. Good luck bud!
Anyone else before I remove my tech support hat? Hope not, sheesh (:
@KevinG
I can tell you what tech support will say:
Assuming you can boot up and assuming we are talking about your hard disc inside your Mac, try running your disc utility app in your utilities folder and see if you can repair the drive. Then try repairing your permissions. If that fails, here is a trick.
Try to create a new user account and see if you can access your drive from there. If you can then you know its some kind of problem with your user account.
Good luck. And if it works, use Time Machine to back up your stuff!
@filmpac - I have disconnected and reconnected and still no good. I have run scan after scan after scan for viruses and trojans and nothing is ever found but tracking cookies.
Don't have to worry about extra charges because I don't have a plan like that.
I would love to be able to use MegaUpload to upload but I have had an account with them for nearly a year and I have NEVER, NEVER been able to upload. It just sits and sits and does nothing. I can download from MegaUpload all I want but upload, forget it.
I do have an accout at DivShare but they have download limits for your overall account. Once the download limit has been met (whether it is from 1 file or 50) it shuts down your account and nobody can download anything. So I try not to use that account.
I'm really just fed up with computers all together.
Uploading to Rapidshare last weeks is really like a nightmare :\ Uploads fail, and fail, and fail again. I tried to use Rapid-manager (available on Rapidshare's main page both for premium and free users, which have an account). It helps a little (at least supports unfinished uploads), but all the way uploads last FOR HOURS. Rapidshare also has upload manager. But I can's use it, as it's incompartible with Vista. Megaupload manager, which is also downlaodable from Mega's main page, is more effective last days.
gsw, maybe you make a precautionary shot from your gun to set Rapid run faster :?
Thanks to all who put up that MGMFSM box, it's mostly a killer set :)
About file share thingys....I'm betting that since we're all home, it's the holidays, EVERYone is using Rapidshare, etc, so it's just a traffic issue - a typical 5min. DL took an hour for me today, but still worked. I can imagine that a few days after the 1st things will be back to the norm....
Request: Bernard Herrmann - "Obsession". Thank you.

I have just recently been commenting to Isbum via email that someone always beats me at filling a request...this time it was only by 6 minutes, so I'm gettin' there again! ;)
Enjoy, enjoy everybody, the score is a nice one! :D
Don´t sweat it Perzival, must be my insomnia, besides, better have two links than one!...
I agree,...this score is a nice one, and a hard to get, due to the vanishing of McNeely from the spotlights....
Keep up the good work man!, I´m new in this blog, and I´m extremely excited to be able to help and share!
My best regards to you and to all in the blog!

@ Parzival - You made my day! And Reza's too! My friend from Wisconsin made me the Lp copy of "Charly" many moons ago, and when I pulled the Cd to rip it something was wrong with it.
:( Lot's of fuzziness that wasn't there before. I passed it to Reza anyway because he'd requested it.
This is when I decided to take a shot and ask for the Cd version.
The nature of Ravi Shankar's spirituality allowed him to write
a score so pure and childlike that there's nothing else like it.
And this just made me laugh:
"that someone always beats me at filling a request...this time it was only by 6 minutes, so I'm gettin' there again! ;)"
Thanks Parzival!
Hello all. Back from the holiday madness, so I'm a bit on the slow side getting back to posting some goodies here and there. Will drop in later.
@Quint--BTW, I noticed you posted a direct link for the Nutty Professor and Geisha Boy from my blog. No problem about that, but it is customary to note that the links you provided are directly from I Luv My Turntable, as should be noted, as we providers tend to get a bit snippy when there links are not given credit :)
@All
Just a test
@All
Sorry about the test above, I couldn't log in.
After losing my hard drive and all my internet bookmarks I am in a fog trying to recover things, I am trying to find the link to the site "horsie" hangs out in. I know it starts with a V but I can't remember how to spell it, it is a Spanish blog I believe.

Isbum, when will ya finally open a 'Game Score Shop' at FranklyNot??? ;)
Cheers mates!
@tripmaster
Yes, I do run a Mac. I hadn't thought of running fsck so thanks for the suggestion.
Disk Utility sees the disk but will not repair, verify, initialize etc., all those options are grayed out.
Disk Warrior doesn't even see the disk so at this point I have nothing to lose I guess.
Thanks for the suggestions.
@ Parzival - But if I opened one with your name on it, we'd never see you again!! ;)
Hi Sorei!
Thanks for your comment! It means a lot for me!
I´ll fix that in no time!
Thanks again,
My best regards!
@ Isbum
Sure you would - in the shop of course...:D
I fully understand, you can't be too careful in chosing your staff lest they get lost in cloud-coockoo-land under all the pressure of shop-liftin' ;)
If I knew getting rid of people was that easy, I would have recommended it to Nomwl1!
But seriously Parzival, you want to run something like it say the word man. We'll open it in 2009! ;)
@ Parzival - By "run it", I don't mean "away from it"! ;)
@Isbum
Well, I'd be flattered, though I don't know how much of a target-group there will be really.
I'd rather post those hidden game-goodies here than secretly at my low-traffic place and regular attendance shouldn't be a problem.
I will also try to re-vive the SciFi-Shop, wasn't there a B-5 announcement long ago? - I could get workin' on that one as well.
Parzival - Do what you can. I suppose B5 is MIA?
I like to keep the doors open for anyone who want's to have some fun here. It's always been for people & not about me.
But I recognize having a space here isn't like having your very own blog.
However, it's less of a hassle I think. No more apologizing for not updating on a weekly basis. Someone says something dumb, it's gone before you notice it.
...just saying... :)
@Prospero
Thanks in advance. I'm looking forward to all that, and a bag of CHiPs!
I can only agree, you don't have to win me over. ;)
I'm all in for the idea of interaction, seeing how people react, what they request and offer, that gives me much joy beyond the shares themselves. Course it's more fun here where there's plenty of visitors...
Well, if there's an interest for the game scoring branch, I'd do my best to host and entertain as best as I can... How about 'Game Score Arcade' ? :)
YES! "Parzival'Z Game Score Arcade"
You like the "Z"? Prolly not, but it gives you a hip skatebord/surfer/guitar hero edge! ROn the flo! Hahah!
I second the Game Score Arcade idea. These days, there are plenty of game scores produced with the same integrity of film scores! It probably won't be as popular at first, but it will catch on. Oh, yes. Mark my words!
@isbum
@parzival
The video game industry has put a lot of resources into its product, not the least of which has been to employ big-named soundtrack composers and many talented lesser known ones.
Let the games begin!
By the way, I just downloaded the massive 3-disc soundtrack for NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (for the Wii). It was frickin' huge! Took me three days to download it, because I could only download one file every hour...and I didn't have the patience to wait around. Would be happy to reupload and host it as the 'first post'. ;)
@Eric - Here is the bootleg SUPERGIRL you requested. This is not my rip, many thanks to the original uploader. The file also contains a custom cover which I did not make and I thank the original artist for it also.

PIRATES - Philippe Sarde (18@320)

Hi there...
I'm asking again if anyone out there has the SILVER BULLET Varese CD club release. I missed out on getting it.
Thanks & Happy New Year!
@ Gus,
Your music is very impressive. I'm sure you will continue to be successful. I encourage everyone to give it a listen.
Your website's main piece reminds me a bit of Stargate SG1. Website: I agree that the text is a little hard to read; probably too small a font, I'd say. Otherwise, a good design. One big typo that I saw on this page:
http://www.gusreyes.com.mx/eng.html
MUSIC/
PROYECTS should read: PROJECTS.
All the best.
Thanks a lot 3410!!!,.....How could I miss that typo!!!....I´ll fix it soon!
Many, many thanks for your kind words, I´m glad you like it.
The main piece you heard was actually a little homage to the late actor Roy Scheider (1932-2008).
I used to love his films in my childhood....
My best regards 3410! and thanks again!!!
@ di(aphanous - Drop me an email please -
zippyljs@yahoo.com
Nothing serious, Tripmastermonk has a question or two for you and I don't feel like tossing his address out on the blog right now.
@ tlkjwe - You certainly have an "eclectic" taste in music friend. The only one I have from your list is...
Thomas Newman "Desperately Seeking Susan" (1985), @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/178337288/TN-DesperatelySeekingSusan.zip
Chaz Jankel "Making Mr Right" (1987), @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/178307544/CJ-MakingMrRight.zip
Looking forward to seeing if anyone can fill the others, I'd be keen to have a listen myself.
@ parzival & isbum - Game Score Arcade, I hear you saying? Interesting concept, I love the Myst scores, but that's probably because after that many game hours it fast becomes a love-hate relationship.
Crime time!
Here's a Cd that, while executed with a great affection for the tele-series, just left me wishing for less love. So here's the regular and the decaf.
The regular:
"Shut It! The Music of the Sweeney"
2001 Cd @320
Various Artists
* features "X-Rated Dialogue from Regan & Carter

And Decaf: Dialogue removed by me.

@ Isbud
Since I'm approaching an age at which everything that remotely helps in giving me an air of "hip skatebord/surfer/guitar hero edge", I'm very much taken by the Z in 'ParZival'Z Game Score Arcade' ;)
Just you wait, in 10 yrs. we'll be buying "Game Score Monthly's Limited Collector's Editions"...:D
@ filmpac
A Myst-player you are!? Well, parts 3 & 4 had some very good scores indeed...
BTW, I lack a scanner and won't be of much help concerning artwork in general...:(
A Happy New Year to everyone here, and many thanks for the long-sought soundtracks which people have been kind enough to upload during the past year, with extra special thanks due to Isbum and Filmpac for providing this forum.
Is there any generous soul out there with access to the soundtracks for "Superman IV: the Quest For Peace" (Courage/Williams) and "Operation Crossbow" (Goodwin)? These are two I would love to hear again.
@ isbum ~ thank you very much for WarGames @320.
And for all of you here, I wish you a very good, healthy, interesting, loads of fun with soundtracks to listen to (of course) and grand 2009!
See you on the other side. ;)

@gsw: Thanks for the Super share. Would you mind sharing the Silva? (That is, unless the boot is a combination of both that and the Varese.) Thanks.
I've been busy and so have about a month's worth of posts to catch up on, but just wanted to pop by and say a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone here... To Isbum, thanks for this sanctuary, and to you all for your generosity, good taste and enthusiasm. Here's to 2009!
Thanks for everythings in 2008, I wish to all of you an HAPPY NEW YEAR. Long life to Franklynot and Isbum Place.
Happy new year ! best wishes laurent
Happy 2009 from Down Under!
Now, who are all you people?
And what are you doing in my living room?
And who ate all the pretzels?
Today's UBI (Useless Bit Of Information):
As we all know, the Chinese do not celebrate New Year at quite the same time as the western world, instead having a month long celebration between January 17th and February 19th. During this time, lanterns illuminate the streets to "light the way" for the New Year. The Chinese believe that evil spirits roam the earth at the New Year, so they let off firecrackers to scare off the spirits and seal their windows and doors with paper to keep the evil demons out.
Impress your friends and neighbors while you watch tonight's fireworks celebrations in your part of the world. All the best in '09 to all you Franklynutters!
@ filmpac - Because nothing says "Go away evil spirits" like setting houses on fire and arming children with explosives! LOL!
Hey guys - wondering if anyone has "Doubt" by Howard Shore. Haven't seen any promos yet for that one...Thanks!
@ isbum - Probably explains why they NEED a month long celebration, hey? Lining your house with paper AND waving firecrackers about sure sounds like a recipe for... building another house!
Hi guys & gals.
If you haven't already crossed over into 2009, c'mon in; it's fine. (Beautiful hot summers morn).
The year ahead too is looking fine from here, so let's hope for a peaceful, musical & generally better year for the world.
Cheers. SEASY
No doubt another clever form of population control! ;)
The Old Year has gone. Let the dead past bury its own dead. The New Year has taken possession of the clock of time. All hail the duties and possibilities of the coming twelve months!
Happy New Year Everybody!
P.S. Thanks for everything.
@gsw: Kara is flying as I type! Thank you very much!
Happy New Year, fellas!
I'm already there!
See y'all soon!
Best wishes and cheers,
Parzival
Still with my wits about me at this unfortunately early hour, I wanted to wish a most happy new year to the fine patrons of this site! Hey, that sounds pretty good, can't wait to see what happens when El Champagne begins to flow in about 3 hours!!!
Seriously, best wishes to all and here's to no more turmoil, heartache, pain or anxieties in '09!
