hmmm....maybe if you tried unzipping with a japanese version of winzip, you'll at least get real japanese characters, that way you can actually get it translated...try unzipping with this...

and to answer your question, i ripped the cd thru itunes, and itunes automatically tagged the files into japanese...lemme know if that japanese version of winzip works for you though.
May I suggest that somebody re-upload it after clearing the .mp3's of those characters.
Unless an English translation is somewhere on the internet, why not try it? I mean the blog has been credited properly, so I don't think anyone will be offended.

It has never released yet.
Teruo Hata has sung the songs "Aitsu"(That Guy) and "Omoide"(Remembers) in the film (not copmosed by Watanabe).

once upon a time i was at the pasadena record convention, and i was tempted to buy this japanese soundtrack by Godiego...it looked like a cop-drama show or movie. i regretfully ended up not shelling out the $30 the dealer was asking for it, and the titles were in japanese, so i have no idea what the title of the movie/show was...anybody know what movie or show i'm talking about? did Godiego do a lot of police drama soundtracks? h20? anybody?
Does anyone have the soundtrack to Rose of Versailles? Its always been a favorite of mine and I have yet to find the opening and closing.

Just to let you know that the December link lists have been posted in the usual section of the blog.
I'd like to draw your attention to the Filmscorium list which is presented in a different way as opposed to the traditional presentation. This blog was first opened in may 2007 and since that date I have been issuing a new sheet each month, so at the end of December 2008 there were 20 sheets which, in my opinion, could make a search long and difficult. I mean that someone who would like to find a specific album or artist had to repeat the same search procedure with each sheet, i.e. 20 times.
So I have put together all 20 months on one single sheet where , however, each month is clearly identified the same way as for the shop link lists.
By the way, after 20 months, we are reaching a number of links over 10000 units…
Now, this way, if you want to search for a specific item you'll just have to apply the relevant procedure once.
Let me also remember you that once you have downloaded the lists, they become yours. I mean you may manipulate them as you like, modify the order if necessary. For instance should you require to have all "Ennio Morricone" links all together, sort the list by alphabetical order with the artist name as the first sorting level and you'll have at the letter "E" all Ennio Morricone's links in one section.
If for any reason you think that the old presentation is preferable, please do not hesitate to let me know.

So a good friend of mine is looking for an Ifukube score. Here is his message to me:
"I'm looking for an Akira Ifukube disc. That may be hard to locate but you can try.
It's for a score called DOZOKU NO RANJO. It was on 2 different Japanese CDs. The first was Toshiba EMI (Futureland) TYCY-537. Here it was paired with a score called KUSHIRO SHITSUGEN (Kushiro Marshland). Then it appeared on Futureland TYCY-5473 paired with a score called HAN GEINOU MANDALA."

haha what small world...believe it or not, judging by the romanized song titles, that 128 kps kim choo ja (along with a few others) was originally my own personal cd rip from back in 2004-2005...i remember i kept getting banned on soulseek for not having enough music to share, so i took it upon myself to make sure i had some quality music to offer, since that was the style of music i was searching for myself...i had no idea of the scope of how much those files would get circulated....even to this day i see them being shared on blogs, p2p networks, and even torrents!! anyways, looking back on it all, i feel guilty for ripping these at a measly 128kps, so i took the liberty of re-ripping the kim choo ja @ 320 kps, along with adding some quality scans...

@ bufalo - i think you need to check the download links and try downloading disc 9 again....i just downloaded them and they are both correct...

the bitrate for the 10 discs are all vbr, so i don't understand how disc 9 and 10 could possibly be the same archive at different bitrates...
could anybody else chime in on what could possibly be the issue? anybody else having the same issue as bufalo here?

"Joe Shishido issue" contains same track too.

Just saw Toshio Masuda's Kurenai no nagareboshi (Like a Shooting Star/Velvet Hustler). It's got great music by Kaburagi Hajime. Does anyone know if it's been released?
I want to thank the various parties who have shared their Masaru Sato content thus far.
Up until about two months ago I was barely cognizant of the fellow's music but, just out of idle curiosity, I downloaded the first volume of "The Music of Masaru Satoh" and I've been hooked ever since; apart from what is located here, I've been googling left, right and center for any soundtracks with his name attached to them.
And it just so happened that last evening I came across something I've been looking for (a score also requested here): The H-Man, which you can get here:

I've been on the prowl for the 2CD "Toward the Terra" (also known as "Terra e...") but, thus far, have only found soundtracks for the recent remake. And, of course, other volumes in the "Music of..." series apart from 1, 2 and 11 continue to elude me, as well as his early TOHO effort "Half Human".
If anyone can prove of assistance I would be very grateful.
