I have been looking for... Capitol Records Hi-Q Music Libary
It was a brand and library of production music produced and distributed by Capitol Records in the late 1950s-early 1960s. It saw quite a bit of use in several movies and other productions, most notably in the 1968 film Night of the Living Dead.
The Ren and Stimpy Show, Amazon Women on the Moon, Gumby and countless other productions have also used cues from the Hi-Q library. Hi-Q was released by Capitol on both a series of 12" phonographic records and a set of open-reel audiotapes as well.
The complete collection is over 800 reels or over 400 records !
Finally, it looks like my slow upload speed problem is solved.
The problem has been traced to my firewall, Zone Alarm Security Suite. Prior to having to re-install Windows, I was running just the firewall version of Zone Alarm, but afterwards chose to go with the complete security suite version. I had already turned off all functionality within Zone Alarm in trying to find the culprit, to no avail, and only now decided to try turning the whole thing off. Presto bingo, upload speed returned. Bleedingly obvious in hindsight. Now I just need to find a reliable replacement.
Thanks to all who took the time to make suggestions, all much appreciated, by a sheer process of elimination in going through suggestions I got down to the root cause. Woo-hoo!
Got some real life work to do today, but I'll be back to posting real soon.
Here is Lery Holmes rendition of the first four Bond themes (Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger & Thunderball). The record was not in mint condition as I bought it, but I hope you will enjoy it all the same.
This weekend I converted several spy themes from vinyl to cd:
- An old Italian ep consisting of the first four Bond themes (including art work). - The extended instrumental version of All Time High (Octopussy) including art work. (The single was not in mint condition when I bought it). - Zinnon's What's Your Name; a remix of the Bond theme from the mid eighties (including art work). - Stanley Black's superb arrangement of the first four Bond themes. - A symfonic version of A View to a Kill.
2 CD's in 3 parts. Disc 1 is the isolated DVD score. Disc 2 contains complete album versions.
If all you want is the isolated DVD score, you'll need to download parts 1 & 2 only. Or download all 3 for everything. Clear as mud now? I have replaced the glitched track "Man Smart, Woman Smarter" with the one kindly provided by Mel (cheers matey!). This is Disc #2, Track #3, part of the album versions.
Not my rip, so HUGE thanks to the original ripper.
Quoteable quotes: Betelgeuse: I'm the ghost with the most, babe.
There was a request some time ago for "Le Magnifique" by Claude Bolling but the link is dead. This used to be my favorite childhood film so I wonder if there's any chance of someone putting it up again? Thanks!
While I was limping along on reduced speed, I used this as a bit of a test, coz it was short and a bit of a rarity. I managed to get it uploaded, and I think soulbrotha, isbum & mebbe a coupla others might like...
Sometime back someone asked for "Bandidos" (1968). Whoever it was (and any other Italian specialists here), please check this link to Soundtrack Collector.
Note that track #10 does not have a running time, whereas the others do. I have unearthed this 9-track version. Is this maybe complete, and SC got it wrong?
My good friend, please don't take this the wrong way - I'm only trying to criticize constructively for the good of this blog and also for visitors of viage musical:
What you are doing here, by posting links from another blog seemingly without their permission and not giving them credit, is exactly the reason why La Layenda closed shop.
Please don't ask for trouble. I would suggest that you delete this post and replace it with a heads up to viage musical and to these particular links.
Do not open any message with an attached file called 'Invitation' regardless of who sent it, It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer.
If you receive a mail called ' invitation' , though sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.
This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.
@ elias - I guess I would get mad too. However, being accused of thieving from your own blog is rather amusing in light of the changing climate at music blogs.
Best wishes to you and much success to viagemusical.
@ isbum - A quick google indicates the Olympic Torch virus is a hoax, and dates back to the Olympic Games of 2006. It even has its own entry in the always entertaining Urban Lgends at snopes.com
@ isbum - Great reading on that Urban Lgends site mate. Sadly, the classic urban myth of the "baby in the microwave oven" has now had its status changed from False to True. Thanks for the Pat Williams, a composer always welcome here.
@ tony - thanks for Leadbelly mate, and the Riddle too:)
@ elias - I am sure Mel meant nothing personal, but was simply looking out for the best interests of the blogger, which in this case just happened to be yourself. In his defence, how could he possibly know?
For mine, many of your posts have been welcome here, and I am sure they are equally appreciated by others. How about we chalk it up to a simple misunderstanding, and let bygones be bygones?
It's like 'old home' week around here, watson, tony, filmpac, and of course---our host with the most---isbum! Hope you all (as well as everyone else!) are doing great. How could I (humbly) not 'pop' in and say 'howdy'?
@ tony: Nelson Riddle's HARLOW: (320, lp rip [ just opened!]) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WNHUTJWL
All The Best, -and remember- Goo Goo Ga Choob,
Rocket From Mars
ps: hey isbum--do you have Percy Faith's THE LOVE GODDESSES ?
@ rocket from mars - Let me add a giggitty, giggitty, good to see you man!
Actually, I don't have The Love Goddess, are you offering? Please give it a spin for me if you do.
And while I have your attention, have you run across any Neil Hefti Lp's lately? I have my eye on a few Cd reissues, but they seem to be of the more subdued (plain eazy listening) variety. I'd rather hear him doing oddball cover versions of pop songs or film themes. As our British friends would say, "have a think" and see what comes along.
Can I just say that I simply passed this warning on to Isbum with the best of intent, I had no idea about any such hoax, I was simply 'concerned' for the people here on this site, and in the light of recent events, I thought you filmpac would have understood that. I just didn't want people here to fall fail of any such harm to their computers. The message of the virus was sent on to me by a trusted friend, who perhaps also had no idea of any such hoax..
People just trying to help People I guess...
Anyway, Just to clear any confusion, there was also no actual Olympic games in 2006, apart from the Winter Olympics of course.
I'm kinda wishing I never bothered really. Lesson learnt.
Who is Tony Hatch? I came across an Lp that sparked my curiosity. Somehow, I thought he had composed some biker films for AIP. I was wrong, that turned out to be Harley Hatcher. So, rather than remain confused, I just grabbed this "Best of.."Cd.
Shortly after "Music to Watch Girls By" I was hooked. T.V. themes and groovy 60's tunes galore.
"The Best of Tony Hatch & His Orchestra" Cd @320 (in 2 parts)
I'm looking for the music that was made by Iggy Pop for the Johnny Depp's movie "The Brave". There were no official release but maybe someone has some music...
The inclusion of a Keith Mansfield track here reminds me to thank 3410 & LT for the recent spotlight, must get around to them.
@ ennioman - No prob there mate passing on the Olympic Torch, and yep, given my recent woes was enough to be alarmed. I was immediately suspicious though, given the CNN warning, it just reminded me of a previous hoax. But no harm, no foul in passing it on.
Please somebody help , i am looking for Nico Fidenco Campa carogna... la taglia cresce and Lo voglio morto,Luis Bacalov L´oro dei bravados G. F. & G.P. Reverberi Preparati la bara!{new more traks} , N. Orlandi & R. Poitevin La morte non conta i dollari and Carlo Savina Joko invoca Dio e muori & 2 rrringo nel texas
I recently ripped a cd for mel and thought that as it was uploaded I may as well put the link here in case anybody else wants it. It's Cyril Stapleton : The Decca Singles 1953-1960
@Isbum thanks for the Blaxploy. TOny Hatch was the original Simon cowell, he used to be the meanest judge on New Faces (UK 70's talent show) and the smartest. , he also composed the music for Crossroads, one of UKs most awful and long runnig soaps, so bad is was good . the music is legendary in UK next to the national anthem
@ loungetracks - Cool, I certainly will enjoy driving the Hatchback.
@ mr.t - Yes, I read about the show Hatch was involved in. It was mentioned that the producers would bring in the truly awful singers so he could "do his thing".
@ scoredaddy - You around man? I got some Eddie Harris questions for you.
@ tony - Thanks! FYI, this was a request from nomwl1's You Don't.. I made a failed attempt to help out with anonymous requests over there. No sooner than a day or two, a spammer with a message from god dropped in to f-it all up. Do you think we should place the link over there , in case the guy comes back? If you check The Manchester Morgue, you'll see that a British paper made note of nomwl1's YDHTVTB.
Over the past months I have wracked my brain trying to come up with a way to bring nomwl1 back to blogging. I even considered asking him to take over the main page here, if he wanted to. But perhaps he's just washed his hands of the whole blogging thing. :(
Cue music!
"St. Giles Cripplegate" 1972 Cd@320 by Jack Nitzsche
@ isbum - Honey Baby makes a tasty dessert to your "Breakfast". Looks like I got you covered on La Polizia Accusa, dl'ing it now, yours sometime tomorrow I guess.
@ filmpac - Oooooh, ma main man! Thanks for Honey Baby, Honey Baby! See if this new connection can pimp out "The Hitter" for us? The two of these records were (are) at the Hollywood Blvd store for $50 each.
Lemme buy you breakfast.
"Jazz for Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Eddie Harris Lp @320
Lot's to recommend here. Even has a track titled "The Big Heist". "Something for Cat", "Sallie's Tomato" and "Loose Caboose" is like the classic "Quiet Village" redone as Quiet East Village.
@ fillmpac - I thought Tschudin was an odd name, The Hitter is scored by Garfeel Ruff. Something else these two have in common, these are their only film scores.
Just couple of random thoughts appropos of nothing.
There aren't that many racing car movies, and Dave Grusin has scored two of them - "Winning" and "Bobby Deerfield" ("Winning" is SUCH a good 60's score)
To those Barry experts who know their stuff...is it me, or is his arrangement of the OHMSS theme on the "The Persuaders!" LP far better than the version on the actual soundtrack? And of his two versions of "Fun City" (again, the original and the one he re-recorded) the re-recording is superior? I haven't the where-with-all to up the different versions for all he to compare.
Anyway, just meandering waffle, but it might get you thinking!
Another obscure Morricone masterpiece, existing stylistically (and chronologically) about halfway between "Duck, You Sucker" and "My Name Is Nobody". Deserving of a full-length release, but in the meantime there's this:
3410 - italianjob rolls out a list of scores that makes us all salivate, says he's not too sure how to rip or upload music, and becomes as mythical as Sasquatch. At least for the two of us. Heck, we might have sent him a turntable and a tutor to hear those records. ;)
@ steve - Interesting waffle.
Notice: Franklynot's Director of Security, The Dark Lord Hemming's has been called away by Her Majesty in London. The Dark Lord was rather vague on the matter, something to do with being an adviser to the press on matters involving Prince Harry. Due to this unexpected turn of events, my cat Pinky will be filling in the position until The Dark Lord returns. * see picture on the main page.
A universe away from "Tiffany's", this record exemplifies how experimental jazz had become on it's pathway to the disappointment known as "smooth jazz". A noteworthy credit goes to Robert A. Moog for "Pitch-tracking effects designed for Eddie Harris".
@ rocket fm - Thanks man! On a side note, tony and I have decided that we are the "Three Stooges" of Lp rippers. Hope you're cool with being "Curley". Rather obvious who I am. Tony is "Moe", for being able to smack bloggers who take his links. Nyuk, nyuk buddy, all my best to you!
@ isbum - Strike one on The Hitter, no luck there. Glad you're digging the honey, baby, likewise I am just giving Breakfast a spin, nice:)) Perhaps Aretha can add some more sparkle to your day...
I hope the Dark Lord Hemmings can take time off to find a lead on our missing bloggers. Anyone heard from chimez recently? Hoping all is as well as can be bud, come back soon. And is that a coffee machine or a rocket launcher?
PS. He's made a request for Wattstax and Wattstax 2. Can anyone help on those?
@ 3410 - Sonny & Jed is marvelous! Cheers to you and all at Morricone Lover!
@ filmpac - Thanks for "Sparkle". I have seen the Lp's your friend is searching for, but before buying them, we should check with Rocket From Mars. They may not be to his taste, but he did have "Superfly T.N.T.". Ya nevah-know wid dat guy.
No doubt, Pinky will serve very well in any capacity you designate, and as for replacing the Dark Lord in the security department, having two of those creatures stalking my home, I know their potential for meyhem.
Sorry I haven't been contributing much lately, been hectic with family matters. Have spent much time in the car, but am constantly accompanied by the fantastic jazz compilation from last month's submissions.
Speaking of compilations. Hope the Travel Tunes is progressing to your satisfaction, whether jaunty or not. Have a suggestion for another contribution/compilation. How about: "Best Love Songs/Instrumentals from non-musical movies."
STAR WARS: Overdone and the net is saturated, but would anybody be interested in a rip @320 of the original Soundtrack Anthology (4 CD set from 1993; one CD per original 3 films plus outtakes and previously unreleased tracks)?
Just to say that I wrongly credited the Zero Zero Seven scan to Loungetracks when in fact it came from our own internet ferret himself ROCKET FROM MARS, sorry
@ 3410 - Just giving Sonny a spin now, I'll second what isbum said. Thanks!
@ isbum - Dang, I hate it when you say things like that. Please don't go rushing out to buy it on my account! I'm still sorting through some more blax scores off this guy, more to come there, and still awaiting a couple of tracks on La Polizia Accusa, but we'll get there.
@ isbum - Back on the Lalo Bossa Nova Groove. The one I have is this one here, can you please confirm if that is the same as you have already upped? I must have missed your post.
@ steve I'm not sure whether I fully understood you about Dave Grusin's "Winning" score. Did you mean that you have it and enjoy listening to it, or did you infer that you'd like to have it. In that latter case, you should know that I posted it and the link is still valid. So say the word and I'll post it again. As a matter of fact, it's reminding some good old days, well, not that long ago... I posted it at YDHTVTB, and it was my first post there... in fact my first post ever. This is to say that like everyone here, I'm deeply missing nomwl1. In case he reads this...
I never get seriously sore over a good joke. Just the bad ones.
Ironic you were listening to the compilation on the way to Long Beach. I was on the way to Long Beach from the opossite direction, and it probably sounded the same.
@ isbum: Curly!? CURLY! Just because i bare an uncanny resemblence to him does that mean i have to be identified with the younger Howard sibling? Puh-leeze Louise! (I'd prefer Shemp---but hey! Curly's cool too.)
Anyway---yup! I do have 'Wattstax' (on the Stax label no less) but it does have a bit of S,K,&Pops (and i don't just mean 'Pops' Staple singing) going on. If it doesn't show up filmpac let me know if you want it anyway and i'll gladly rip it for you.
btw---I agree with everyone else: nomwl1 is terribly missed. (and he's the reason i'm here in blogland too!) IF he does stop in here (at isbum's amazing space) and check things out---i'd like to weigh in and offer him a GREAT BIG HELLO! AND HURRY BACK! YOUR FRIENDS MISS YOU (ALONG WITH YOUR GRACE, WIT, CHARM, AND STYLE!).
No inference intended. I have "Winning" and its terrific. Possibly the epitome of 1960's pop-inflected scoring. No, i was just sharing random thoughts.
does anyone have a copy of the jap pressing of the lalo schifrin score bullit that has the extended version of the track shifting gears with the car chase and crash. would really like this copy.many thanks. the score.
@ ruggo - Funny, but it's true, I get stuck between the stadium and Disneyland. Think we can get Christopher Cross to sing us a new version of Arthur's Theme? ;)
Plenty of freeway off-ramps. Dares you to find one to get back on though.
I am running out of requests to fill, but I have an abundance of really weird other stuff I need to sort out. Including something called the "Wozard Of Iz".
@ filmpac - I love the clips that are posted at S@E, so you can bet I'm gonna dig it! If your "Wozard" is credited to one Mort Garson, it's a smokers delight.
By coincidence, I just picked up this McA reissue Lp for Sallie, that has the musical score of The Wizard of Oz with song hits from Walt Disney's Pinoccio.
Everybody may have this already, but if not, just holler and I'll let it rip!
Isbum, Ferrio Doubtfire thingy is so obscure IMDB doesn't even list it. Would it give you some joy to know that is the only one I *can't* find?
Filmpac trips off singing "they're off to find the wozard, the wise old wozard of iz, they say he is a wiz, the wozard of iz, as sure as phosphate fizzes, as sure as..."
Whatthe?? Where have I been all been this time? Oh, the humanity!
Thanks to Janus for A l'alambic and Outrageous. Two great posts.
Looking for :
Claude Bolling - Vivre la nuit Claude Bolling - Doucement les basses (especially "Générique de fin") V.Cosma - L'affaire Crazy Cappo G.Garvarentz - Les galets d'Etretat E.Bernstein - Gipsy moths Pierre Cavalli - Crise Guy Pedersen - Celeste
@Isbum - I'll be in your neck of the woods in about 2 weeks, have a short LA vacation planned. I'll be heading to Aemoba on Sunset and probably the Virgin store again - any other CD hotspots I need t check? Last time I was there, think there was a Record Surplus on Pico that had a good selection?
Nobody requested this (probably a wise move) but with the passing of Joey Bishop it's the end of an era: The Last Of The Rat Pack has left the house. (Not counting Shirley or Angie as official members)
One would have thought this album might have killed it at it's peak some 40 years ago. Get ready. This one's a doozy:
JOEY BISHOP SINGS COUNTRY WESTERN: (vinyl rip @ 192) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2HQDEF9Q
@ rocket from Vegas - Would that be Ring-a-ding-twang? Look buddy, I can get "Wattstacks 2: The Living World" this weekend and rip it, do you wanna rip yours as well? If you do, we can have a soul to soul, coast to coast summit this weekend.
@ manucosma - Wow, I was about to tell the monicle that you are the go-to man for Claude Bolling score's and like magic, you showed up!
@ h2o - Any day is a better day when a Trovaioli gets played:)thanks!
Seems a bit of a quiet day here today. How 'bout some blax to liven things up? Apparently one of the rarest, fairly short. Side 1 is an 11:44 minute funkfest...
@ thxjay - Knocked the coffee off my desk when I saw the bill! He's expensive alright. ;) jay, I think you're correct, the size is a bit off. Also, your "in flight" cover ideas are really good. But in order to have a compilation we need more music.
GET off your bums Soundtrack fanatics! This is really easy. Upload one of your favorite "travel music" tracks composed for a film.
@ filmpac - Solomon King is truely rare, only 2 people at IMDB have seen it, and one of those only because he was an extra in the movie. I hope somebody kept the master tapes for the soundtrack in a safe place. It would make for a cool re-issue.
@ h2o - The Armando Troviaoli is wonderful! The "Frankenstein '90" suite has a sax move that reminds me of Shire's "The Conversation". N.2? Does that mean an N.1 is available?
I second isbum's subtle request for more participation in the "travel-project" - it is such a nice idea to do such compilations and this month's theme is just as cool as it is easy - I could issue two compliations off-hand with travel-related music, it'd just be a whole lot more fun to find unexpected and more personal gems from others in it...
Looks like the active blogging-crew is thinning out everywhere at the moment!? I really wonder why?
While we're all waiting for some of the Ferrios (should be soon, folks), I'll continue with the blax scores. The score went unreleased until 2000, and is another where it is the composer's only credit. Well, this is not really a blacksploitation film, but was dubbed "The Black Deep Throat" by the distributor, so it qualifies I guess...
i asked a couple of days ago for the jap copy of the above lalo masterpiece bullit which has the extendeed version of shifting gears which has car chase and blow up as in film(only avaliable on japanese issue)
Hi does any one have Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban (Complete Score) Without Sound Effects and Richard Robbins 2 Scores Remains of the Day and howards End cd Version and John Williams 2 Scores Towering Inferno and Images cd version.
@ thxjay - The 'shrink to fit option' didn't come up when I replaced the logo. I resized the image by cutting some of the black around the lettering, but it looks rather the same.
@ filmpac - Not to put you into overdrive, but I have several more requests.
"La Battaglia D'Inghilterra" by Francesco De Masi
"Thunder 3" by F. De Masi
"Lucrezia Giovane" by Franco Micilizzi
and an intriguing 3 score CD by Armando Troviaoli * but oh lordy, the titles of them go on forever..but let me give it a try..
"Straziami Ma Di Baci Saziami" "La Oiu Bella Serata Dell Mia Vita" and one other.
By the way, Sam Spence rocks! If the liner notes are true, a 10 disc set of his NFL music is available. Fans of football and film music? Niche market for sure.;)
You'll not believe it, but I thought about buying this set once, it's called "Autumn Thunder" and comes in a beautiful football-shaped leather-case. Unfortunately really expensive and you're right, I didn't dare invest so much into an import-title with such a niche being attached to it, as I'm not a big US-football fan. The pompuos music in those documentaries is sometimes stunning though (you know, when players run in slow motion and the music is full of excitment and patriotism etc...) Now, if anyone would ever share this box-set, it's sure be a touchdown! :)
@ isbum: i ripped WATTSTAX but there are skips in quite a few places. if you or filmpac really want me to upload it i will but it has been posted to a few blogs already.
That's a pretty hip site with a lot of blaxploitation and awesome funk stuff. btw---is it alright to mention other blogs here?
Oh yeah---Sam Spence is awesome! I posted an NFL album from 1978 a few months back that was mostly his stuff. If you didn't grab it I really recommend it. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YWIXM01K
@ rocket from mars - It's alright if you don't man, I had a good look at WATTSTAX 2 and the number of Richard Pryor comedy routines on it titled "Ni**er" made me leave this in the shelves.
Piero Piccioni Minesota Clay @320 Thanks o Chief Brody (i don't know this guy but he shared many soundtracks) http://rapidshare.com/files/64404146/mc-pp.rar
@ filmpac & all others I've been on the road for a while, and when I returned to my comp I was glad to find Ferrio's Tex Willer listed.
Unfortunately, I was unable to unpack all 23 trax. The last two are missing. Would you be so kind and post trax 22 and 23 for me. Downloading the complete archive again would take hours, coz I'm living in the digital outback here, which means I am on 56 kbps modem (don't laugh, but show compassion ;-)
@ rocket - Thanks mate for the heads-up on Wattstax, will do nicely. I'm a little confused now about Wattstax 2, was that like a sequel, or a volume 2 of the same?
@ H2o - Most amusing my fellow water-based-carbon-life-form. If you recall, I posted a western titled "Too Late the Hero" recently. De Masi, Rusticelli, or was it a war movie by Gerald Fried? Honestly, H2o, it's good we have 3410 around to help us figure out what it is we're posting. Not to put the kabosh on the fun being had (at our expense), but "I Lunghi Giorni Della Vendetta" seems to be missing track 11. This may in fact be an error on this particular issue of the score, but I thought it's best if the news is delivered by me. After all, 3410 must be tired of setting these records straight for us.
I ripped the triple Trovaioli Cd and to be honest, I thought "La Piu Bella Serata Della Mia Vita" wasn't by Trovaioli either. It sounded like Tomita had Wendy Carlos over for hash brownies. And I thought the cover art for this Cd was strange?
H2o, I kid you and thank you for being a great friend to this blog.
@ isbum - Here ya go bud, two great spaghetti western scores. Can't say I've seen either of these movies, or even heard of their English titles, but I sure do like the music. Hope you do too!
Of course Mr Mean was a soundtrack, and the Ohio Players even make an appearance themselves playing at a nightclub! On googling, I can tell you they formed in Ohio (natch) way back in 1959, and continued touring into the 1990s. Their version of "Over The Rainbow" was played at Judy Garland's funeral. And this little tidbit... "The group had become renowned for their sexually explicit album covers, suggesting the possibilities of a jar of honey, or depicting macho males dominating scantily clad subservient females - and vice versa."
@filmpac Thx for the special treatment, in particular because Tex is a particularly good score. I will try to get the original CD. I am quire convinced that my broken (and strangely resumed) download was responsible for the defect archive. However, I was surpsrise to see that 12 people downloaded those single files, although I must have been one of the early birds. Anyway, you saved my day. It would have taken me 6 hours or so to start all over again. Thnx again.
@H2O I gather you removed Trovaioli's Lunghi Giorni for the sake of the three comedy soundtracks. Will you give us another chance on the Western score?
I dunno guys, I got really confused over those Trovaioli's, I dunno what's what anymore.
@ isbum - There is going to be a special thread for Halloween Treats, yes?
@ carrasco - I'm surprised there are that many downloads of the single Tex Willer tracks. I do know that ZShare counts it is a download when you just open that page, even though you don't actually click the download link itself. Regardless, I'm just glad everybody is able to get it complete, happy it all worked out for you.
@ omega - Some nice stuff appearing on your blog, thx for the heads-up:)
Hoping this is what you need. LGDV-11: http://rapidshare.com/files/64728440/11_Ennio__Prendi_Il_Fucile.rar.html
Quinlan: don't list this one, ta.
And an odd (decidedly non-soundtrack-y) request, for a friend who has looked high and low, in the unlikely event that someone could provide a pointer. Just because, you know, you guys are the best music people I know.
A bootleg called: "John Cale in the Gluepot"
Thanks again to H2o & filmpac, and best wishes for Southern Californians.
@ isbum - Just reading up on the fires there, my thoughts are with you and all Californians. We aren't strangers to bushfires Down Under, so can certainly sympathize.
Stay safe, my friend.
Good timing, you just popping in. A suggestion then, if I may. Open the thread early, so people can make their Halloween requests in there. With the proviso that for now, it is for requests only, until you wave the checkered flag. Might save you an additional cleanup of requests in here. Just a thought.
It's great to see how active all of you have been. The friendliness of the people here is always great. =)
I have a small request. I've been searching for Disney's The Three Caballeros LP soundtrack from 1945 which has 16 tracks (songs and score) according to this link in SoundtrackCollector, but I haven't been able to find it. If any of you could find and upload that particular version, I'd be grateful.
@ parzival
Thanks for Carl Davis's Ben-Hur. It's a spectacular listen.
@ filmpac
Thanks for that Tex Willer soundtrack. I've yet to see the film, but I've really enjoyed the comics which are very popular here in Finland. It'll be great to hear what kind of score accompanies the hero in his adventures. =)
@ benoit Reur post of October 23 "Cinema Collection Vol. 3 - Jean-Paul Belmondo". I guess it's by various artists. Could you please confirm? (for the October link list). BTW the link says "File not found". Thank you for your cooperation.
Thanks for your posts, but only two tracks in "DOUCEMENT LES BASSES". Do you have the complete score,I am desesperately looking for the killer tune "générique de fin.
I am looking for Armando Trovaioli's Una Magnum Special per Tony Saitta, better known as Blazing Magnum. I searched for it high and low, before I gathered that there has never been a CD release. What a shame, since the few trax that appeared here and there are outstanding.

I hope all will go well from now on.
LEROY HOLMES THE INCREDIBLE WORLD OF JAMES BOND
Here is Lery Holmes rendition of the first four Bond themes (Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger & Thunderball). The record was not in mint condition as I bought it, but I hope you will enjoy it all the same.

MORE SPY THEMES
This weekend I converted several spy themes from vinyl to cd:
- An old Italian ep consisting of the first four Bond themes (including art work).
- The extended instrumental version of All Time High (Octopussy) including art work. (The single was not in mint condition when I bought it).
- Zinnon's What's Your Name; a remix of the Bond theme from the mid eighties (including art work).
- Stanley Black's superb arrangement of the first four Bond themes.
- A symfonic version of A View to a Kill.
It's a mixed bag, but I hope you will enjoy it:

2 CD's in 3 parts.
Disc 1 is the isolated DVD score.
Disc 2 contains complete album versions.
If all you want is the isolated DVD score, you'll need to download parts 1 & 2 only. Or download all 3 for everything. Clear as mud now? I have replaced the glitched track "Man Smart, Woman Smarter" with the one kindly provided by Mel (cheers matey!). This is Disc #2, Track #3, part of the album versions.
Not my rip, so HUGE thanks to the original ripper.
Quoteable quotes:

Hi. Haven't heard from you in some time so thought I'd take the opportunity to consolidate my requests:

BN - Anda muchacho, spara!
EM - Fraulein Doktor
Thanks if you get the chance to post any of these.
It has been requested before in this blog, but does anyone own and wish to share the extended version of Michael Kamen's score for Licence to Kill?

à Filmpac: Thanks a million time! I'm downloading Beetlejuice's files at the mo'... :)

PS. Met a new online bud for blaxploitation scores, some more to follow. Thanks to him for this one:))
Do I post?
@ elias
My good friend, please don't take this the wrong way - I'm only trying to criticize constructively for the good of this blog and also for visitors of viage musical:
What you are doing here, by posting links from another blog seemingly without their permission and not giving them credit, is exactly the reason why La Layenda closed shop.
Please don't ask for trouble. I would suggest that you delete this post and replace it with a heads up to viage musical and to these particular links.
Thanks for your understanding.
@ elias - Also both are available from V@rese.
Sometimes elias, Monday's can be like this.
@ ALL - A WARNING sent by ennioman.
Do not open any message with an attached file called 'Invitation' regardless of who sent it, It is a virus that opens an Olympic Torch

If you receive a mail called ' invitation' , though sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down your computer immediately. This is the
worst virus announced by CNN, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever.
This virus simply destroys the Zero

viagemusical is a cool blog.
i had never been there before.
"deliverance" !
why not link it to your profile?
@filmpac
2 CD Beetlejuice ! way to go !
if i had to put together a soundtrack team,
you would be first pick !
@ filmpac - Just doing my part to keep the torch lit and the legend alive!
I'm not very urbane when it comes to the computer world. ;)
Here's a request that has been on the books for a long time, unless I missed it being posted...
Michael Kamen, Edward Shearmur & Various "Let Him Have It" (1991), @320:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=00JLKV3J
@ isbum - Great reading on that Urban Lgends site mate. Sadly, the classic urban myth of the "baby in the microwave oven" has now had its status changed from False to True. Thanks for the Pat Williams, a composer always welcome here.
@ tony - thanks for Leadbelly mate, and the Riddle too:)
@filmpac - you're quite welcome :)
@isbum - Thanks so much for Pat Williams. Great stuff!
BTW - Speaking of P. Williams, you wouldn't perhaps have the theme from Don't Drink The Water (1969)?
I've been searching high and low for it.
@isbum -
Are you still looking for Mountbatten?
I have it and can post sometime tomorrow if you'd like :)
@ Tony,
Lai compilation CD
here which you may not have.
@ tony - Yes. The Viceroy would be most welcome here.

Hi Everybody---
It's like 'old home' week around here, watson, tony, filmpac, and of course---our host with the most---isbum! Hope you all (as well as everyone else!) are doing great. How could I (humbly) not 'pop' in and say 'howdy'?

Goo Goo Ga Choob,
Rocket From Mars
ps: hey isbum--do you have Percy Faith's THE LOVE GODDESSES ?
@ rocket from mars - Let me add a giggitty, giggitty, good to see you man!
Actually, I don't have The Love Goddess, are you offering?
Please give it a spin for me if you do.
And while I have your attention, have you run across any Neil Hefti Lp's lately? I have my eye on a few Cd reissues, but they seem to be of the more subdued (plain eazy listening) variety. I'd rather hear him doing oddball cover versions of pop songs or film themes.
As our British friends would say,
"have a think" and see what comes along.
All my best to you rocket!
@ Filmpac
Can I just say that I simply passed this warning on to Isbum with the best of intent, I had no idea about any such hoax, I was simply 'concerned' for the people here on this site, and in the light of recent events, I thought you filmpac would have understood that. I just didn't want people here to fall fail of any such harm to their computers.
The message of the virus was sent on to me by a trusted friend, who perhaps also had no idea of any such hoax..
People just trying to help People
I guess...
Anyway,
Just to clear any confusion, there was also no actual Olympic games in 2006, apart from the Winter Olympics of course.
I'm kinda wishing I never bothered really. Lesson learnt.
Ennioman
Who is Tony Hatch? I came across an Lp that sparked my curiosity. Somehow, I thought he had composed some biker films for AIP.
I was wrong, that turned out to be Harley Hatcher.
So, rather than remain confused, I just grabbed this "Best of.."Cd.
Shortly after "Music to Watch Girls By" I was hooked. T.V. themes and groovy 60's tunes galore.

@ ennioman - I'd rather be warned, no matter what it turns out to be.
While I can't speak for filmpac, I am 99.9% certain that he's as grateful as me.
@ everybody,
I'm looking for the music that was made by Iggy Pop for the Johnny Depp's movie "The Brave". There were no official release but maybe someone has some music...
Thanks in advance!

@ Isbum,
Thanks for the Tony Hatch! Hoped it would show one day! Here's another:

@Isbum thanks for the Blaxploy.
@ isbum
One more Tony Hatch: "Hits Symphonic", thanks to the original uploader.

That's it for today! N-joy all. :)
Cue music!

@ jazzers -
Has Eddie Harris Jazz for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" been posted somewhere already?
@ isbum
Reur post of October 14 "Joy".
An artist name please.
Thank you so much for your attention.
@ isbum
Eddie Harris "Breakfast At Tiffany's".
Not to my knowledge.
@ quinlan - COOL- ripping it now!
Much like Eddie's hit record "Exodus to Jazz", this covers most, if not all, of Mancini's compositions for the film.
"JOY" by Apollo 100 featuring Tom Parker
Upped for thxjay at The Crime Lounge, but dopey me didn't realize he already had it. So you cats can go sloppy seconds...

Isbum, looking forward to the "Breakfast at Tiffanys", sounds sweet. Has Lalo Schifrin "Bosa Nova Groove" from 1962 been upped previously?
@ filmpac - Breakfast will be served very soon. Tasty!
Re Lalo's Bossa- Jordan would know.
I did a Verve Cd of his Bossa tracks ages ago.
Quickie for blaxploitation fans, quite cool...
Michael Tschudin "Honey Baby, Honey Baby" (1975), LP @128:

@ isbum - Honey Baby makes a tasty dessert to your "Breakfast". Looks like I got you covered on La Polizia Accusa, dl'ing it now, yours sometime tomorrow I guess.
@ filmpac - Oooooh, ma main man! Thanks for Honey Baby, Honey Baby!
See if this new connection can pimp out "The Hitter" for us? The two of these records were (are) at the Hollywood Blvd store for $50 each.
Lemme buy you breakfast.
"Jazz for Breakfast at Tiffany's"
by Eddie Harris Lp @320
http://rapidshare.com/files/63101756/EH_BreakfastAtTiffanys.zip
Lot's to recommend here. Even has a track titled "The Big Heist".
"Something for Cat", "Sallie's Tomato" and "Loose Caboose" is like the classic "Quiet Village" redone as Quiet East Village.
Got another (FUNKY) Eddie Harris coming up next.
EnJoY!
@ fillmpac - I thought Tschudin was an odd name, The Hitter is scored by Garfeel Ruff. Something else these two have in common, these are their only film scores.
@ isbum
Enjoying my breakfast with Eddie Harris.
Thanks so much!
If anyone downloads filmpac's post of Zero Zero Seven and needs a cover

The original scan was Loungetracks so credit to him
@ 3410
Thanks for "Sonny & Jed", I added it to the blog. Great find!
Morricone Lover.
@ Benoit,
Gee, you're quick!
I pulled it because of a mistake. If you'd be so kind, would you put a "coming soon" on that one, and wait about 90 min. for a new link?
ta.
@ Benoit
Isn't Sonny and Jed already on the blog? Pretty sure I dl'ed it awhile ago
@ JP,
That one's only 6 tracks.
@3410
Fantastic! Off to get it now! JP
OK... Take two:
Another obscure Morricone masterpiece, existing stylistically (and chronologically) about halfway between "Duck, You Sucker" and "My Name Is Nobody". Deserving of a full-length release, but in the meantime there's this:
Ennio Morricone,
"Sonny & Jed" (1972)
[bootleg - 14tr.@192 / 42min.],
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RQ5V7JM6
@ Benoit,
Please replace the link with this one.
@ Isbum,
I fear we have lost Italianjob. I'm sad. I was so hanging out for some of those titles he offered.
It's been a slow month, but thanks to all contributors still holding the fort. :)
@ filmpac - "Honey Baby,Honey Baby" is a terrific find! Enjoying every minuet of this!
"IS IT IN" 1974 Lp @320
by Eddie Harris
http://rapidshare.com/files/63131515/EH_IsItIn.zip
A universe away from "Tiffany's", this record exemplifies how experimental jazz had become on it's pathway to the disappointment known as "smooth jazz".
A noteworthy credit goes to
Robert A.

@isbum
@ parzival - One from your list at the top of the month...
Steve Bramson "JAG" (2002), promo @VBR:

@ 3410 - Just giving Sonny a spin now, I'll second what isbum said. Thanks!
@ isbum - Dang, I hate it when you say things like that. Please don't go rushing out to buy it on my account! I'm still sorting through some more blax scores off this guy, more to come there, and still awaiting a couple of tracks on La Polizia Accusa, but we'll get there.
@ ruggo - Glad you checked in! I was starting to think you were seriously sore at me over the filmpac joke.
I took our jazz comp for the drive out to Long Beach and really loved it. Highly representative of this group!
The Travel comp has stalled and I don't know why for sure. I opened it up to include about any kind of travel one could imagine.
The countdown to "Halloween Treats" is 13 days, given what time zone you're in.
@ filmpac - Jeep's my man, I will wait for Rocket before I buy anythinng. ;)
@ isbum - Back on the Lalo Bossa Nova Groove. The one I have is this one here, can you please confirm if that is the same as you have already upped? I must have missed your post.
@ isbum
I listened to "Jazz For Breakfast At Tiffany's" when having my supper. If at all possible, it's even better than with breakfast.
THANK YOU!!!
@ steve
I'm not sure whether I fully understood you about Dave Grusin's "Winning" score.
@ filmpac - Yes, but post it anyway because I can't find the old link.
@ quinlan - Choosing records has become a matter of luck. I am always pleased to find records that haven't been posted at other blogs.
Let alone, music that goes well with breakfast, lunch and dinner!
I miss nomwl1, too and I bet a lot of us got into this through him...:)
My kindest regards!
@ filmpac
Thanks for JAG, dude, been wanting this for years. A joy to have finally.

@isbum
Olaf, Thank you so much for your time and effort. My friend found it elsewhere, but I am downloading it myself so that I can hear what it sounds like!
Filmpac, I already have Black Girl, but thank you for sharing it!
@ soulbrotha - But do you have "The Hitter"??
Pimp daddy isbum must know, he needs something 70's to keep Honey Baby, Honey Baby company. ;)
@ ruggo - Opposite direction?
Are you SpongeBob SquarePants?
@ Quinlan
No inference intended. I have "Winning" and its terrific. Possibly the epitome of 1960's pop-inflected scoring. No, i was just sharing random thoughts.
@isbum
No, more like SquareBob SpongePants.
Actually I was driving up from Anaheim, riding shotgun for my daughter who was selling concert tickets to a stranger from Craig's List.
@ steve - Random thoughts are good.
They often lead to surprising conclusions.
@ ruggo - Anaheim is like Disneyland's Tea Cup ride to me. I have been lost and unable to get out of that city more times than I can count.
I have another request:
PHASE IV
by Brian Gascoigne
Anyone possibly have that one?
Thanks.
hi ya'll
bullit.
does anyone have a copy of the jap pressing of the lalo schifrin score bullit that has the extended version of the track shifting gears with the car chase and crash.
would really like this copy.many thanks.
the score.
@isbum
Tell me about it. Have even tried trail of breadcrumbs without luck.

EnJoY!
@ ruggo - Funny, but it's true, I get stuck between the stadium and Disneyland.
Think we can get Christopher Cross to sing us a new version of Arthur's Theme? ;)
Plenty of freeway off-ramps.
Dares you to find one to get back on though.
@ Isbum,
Ta for the S.I. Am EnJoYing.
3410 - cool. The Night Train's "Making Tracks" reminds me of Booker T.& the MG's "Green Onions" a bit.
@ thxjay - I'd recommend this to you for the cover of "Mission Impossible" but it's practically unrecognizable as performed here.
Yes, and Cissy Strut's "De Boys an Dem" is a dead set Meters ripoff (that's a compliment).
Someone got me to thinking about David Shire, wink...wink.
So, if I may make a request for: "Last Stand At Saber River".
I had forgotten about this score, and only have heard the main title.
Thanks all! :)
I'll 2nd the David Shire!
Intr@da and waay out of print.
@ isbum - Hope it's everything you want it to be...
Luciano Michelini "La Polizia Accusa: Il Servizio Segreto Uccide" (1975), @320:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=D8YXTQXG
I am running out of requests to fill, but I have an abundance of really weird other stuff I need to sort out. Including something called the "Wozard Of Iz".
@ filmpac - I love the clips that are posted at S@E, so you can bet I'm gonna dig it!
If your "Wozard" is credited to one Mort Garson, it's a smokers delight.
@ isbum - It is, it is, the wonderful Wozard Of Iz, by Mort Garson indeedy. My head is still spinning, I may never recover:)
@ filmpac - Here's some Gianni Ferrio westerns that would be most welcome here.
"Tex and the Lord of the Deep"
"Joe! Cercati Un Posto Per Morire"
"EL Desperado"
Also a comedy score by Ferrio,
some sort of take-off of
"Mrs. Doubtfire" titled
"E Meno Male Che C'E Maria"
Here's wishing you good luck.
La Polizia is terrific mate!
@ filmpac - Controlled substance.
Should come with a warning label.
@ filmpac - Go on to SAE Entertainment and click on Gianni Ferrio's name. You'll have a looksee at all the ones I mentioned.
Poor man, nobody comes back from hearing that record the same.
@ filmpac
Thanks for Michelini. Splendido!

Hi,
A request, which I would dearly love to hear. A long shot, I imagine, but let's try.
CD is called "Western Trio" ('05) by Morricone. Contains three scores: "Guns Don't Argue" ('64), and the two "Providenza" films ('72/'73).
info here
Thanks to h2o, and to filmpac in advance of the Ferrios.
Thanks to Janus for A l'alambic and Outrageous. Two great posts.
Looking for :
Claude Bolling - Vivre la nuit
Claude Bolling - Doucement les basses (especially "Générique de fin")
V.Cosma - L'affaire Crazy Cappo
G.Garvarentz - Les galets d'Etretat
E.Bernstein - Gipsy moths
Pierre Cavalli - Crise
Guy Pedersen - Celeste
@Isbum - I'll be in your neck of the woods in about 2 weeks, have a short LA vacation planned. I'll be heading to Aemoba on Sunset and probably the Virgin store again - any other CD hotspots I need t check? Last time I was there, think there was a Record Surplus on Pico that had a good selection?
Hi Everybody--
Nobody requested this (probably a wise move) but with the passing of Joey Bishop it's the end of an era: The Last Of The Rat Pack has left the house. (Not counting Shirley or Angie as official members)
One would have thought this album might have killed it at it's peak some 40 years ago. Get ready. This one's a doozy:

Would that be Ring-a-ding-twang?
Look buddy, I can get "Wattstacks 2: The Living World" this weekend and rip it, do you wanna rip yours as well?
If you do, we can have a soul to soul, coast to coast summit this weekend.
@ manucosma - Wow, I was about to tell the monicle that you are the go-to man for Claude Bolling score's and like magic, you showed up!
@ h2o - Any day is a better day when a Trovaioli gets played:)thanks!
@ mp - I have a few more that I can suggest. I'll post them here a bit later. Umm, you are in the Directory, no?
Yep Isbum I'm in the directory, a few tips would be great.
Anyone else wishing to experience The Wozard Of Iz, I discovered it's available here at bongolong land. Consider yourself warned!
Yeah!
Isbum, the new header is pretty darn stylish!
I'm lovin' it! :)
Thanks for noticing parzival.
All credit goes to thxjay!
@ isbum
Your yesterday post.
I am "positively" delighted.
Thanks.
Seems a bit of a quiet day here today. How 'bout some blax to liven things up? Apparently one of the rarest, fairly short. Side 1 is an 11:44 minute funkfest...

Nice new banner on the main page!
Hey Isbum, like the new banner ;)
Thanks for giving it an airing, although it looks a little blurred, maybe I should have made it at the exact size so blogger didn't have to shrink it?
Is my Travel cover growing on you yet :)
@ thxjay
Great work, dude! I actually like the blurred/murky look, though the "isbum's-place-icon" should be a bit blurred then too...?
Anhow, I'm jauntily looking forward to any travel-project-cover you may have had your hands in! :)

Hey everyone!
Does anyone have a link to this one?
Casablanca: Classic Filmscores For Humphrey Bogart
Looking especially for the piece from Sabrina.
If it is in the xls. file, let me know which month.
Have a great day everyone!
Hey Isbum, just noticed that the banner is overlapping the right side of the border. Did you click the "shrink to fit" option when you uploaded it?
Thanks for the comments folks, I'm available for hire.
Only joking, besides you couldn't afford me....wait 'til isbum gets the bill :)
@ thxjay
Oh, hasn't he already gotten it...? ;)
@ omega
Thanks a lot; your advertising-help is much appreciated! :)
@parzival
Thanks for the Carl Davis.
Give your blog link again. Nothing wrong with a little self-promotion.
True enough.
http://melancholiasubobscura.blogspot.com/
@isbum -
Very nice banner friend :)
@ thxjay - Knocked the coffee off my desk when I saw the bill!
He's expensive alright. ;)
jay, I think you're correct, the size is a bit off.

Thanks
For all Goldsmith fans, there may be something interesting at my blog:
http://www.clickhereifyourecool.blogspot.com/
@isbum,
upload the banner again and click "shrink to fit", if that's no good let me know and I'll do it again.
I've added a "jaunty" little number to the travel thread :)
@ thxjay - The 'shrink to fit option' didn't come up when I replaced the logo. I resized the image by cutting some of the black around the lettering, but it looks rather the same.
@ filmpac - Not to put you into overdrive, but I have several more requests.
"La Battaglia D'Inghilterra"
by Francesco De Masi
"Thunder 3"
by F. De Masi
"Lucrezia Giovane"
by Franco Micilizzi
and an intriguing 3 score CD
by Armando Troviaoli
* but oh lordy, the titles of them go on forever..but let me give it a try..
"Straziami Ma Di Baci Saziami"
"La Oiu Bella Serata Dell Mia Vita"
and one other.
By the way, Sam Spence rocks! If the liner notes are true, a 10 disc set of his NFL music is available.
Fans of football and film music?
Niche market for sure.;)
@Isbum
The pompuos music in those documentaries is sometimes stunning though (you know, when players run in slow motion and the music is full of excitment and patriotism etc...)
Now, if anyone would ever share this box-set, it's sure be a touchdown! :)

Hi Everybody---
@ isbum: i ripped WATTSTAX but there are skips in quite a few places. if you or filmpac really want me to upload it i will but it has been posted to a few blogs already.
(try here: http://deaconblues1103soul.blogspot.com/2007/07/wattstax-living-word.html)

Bye For Now,

@ rocket from mars - It's alright if you don't man, I had a good look at WATTSTAX 2 and the number of Richard Pryor comedy routines on it titled
"Ni**er" made me leave this in the shelves.
@ h20,
The three-part Trovoioli is not atually those titles, but in fact the expanded
I Lunghi Giorni Della Vendetta (AT, '66) if I'm not mistaken.
Glad to have it, so "thanks", but thought this was worth mentioning.
:)
@ 3410
Hello, friend!
I Lunghi Giorni Della Vendetta (32 tracks) is just in print, so I will post it at Hallowe'en.
Please wait for 10 days.
3410...ooops...sorry for my mistake.
I killed the wrong links.
I have Lalo Schiffrin's "The Liquidator" in a bad vinyl rip and was wondering if someone has the CD version they can up? Much appreciate.
@Jon,
We don't usually post those in-print titles from smaller companies but if you e-mail me in the private share section ;)
Thanks THXjay for the heads up...
@H2O
Thank you very much for the Trovaioli
Western, presented as another soundtrack (it was a trick ? :))
@3410
Sorry por PP "il dio...". I cannot rip the vinyl (soundcard problem!) but a friend of mine will do it for me and it will be posted soon.

I've been on the road for a while, and when I returned to my comp I was glad to find Ferrio's Tex Willer listed.
@ h2o - Very funny! I had a listen to the middle part of the Cd late last night and kept looking at the cover with the actor dressed like Clouseau.
Went to bed thinking "Wow, Blake would have sent Henry out the door for taking such a strange approach to scoring a comedy."
@ Everyone - Please continue adding to our "Film Music That Travels" compilation. Thanks to all that have contributed!
A previously un-posted Lalo Schifrin record is now available at my blog:

@ filmpac - I'd never have guessed "Mr. Mean" is a soundtrack by that cover. IMDB'd it and sure enough, it's a so-bad-it's-funny Fred Williams movie.

Alan Parker(?): What's eating Gilbert Grape (1993)
It would be nice if anybody could provide one of these ;-)
@ H2o - Most amusing my fellow water-based-carbon-life-form.
Gianni Ferrio "El Desperado" (1967), @192:

Gianni Ferrio "Joe! Cercati Un Posto Per Morire" (1968), @192:

Of course Mr Mean was a soundtrack, and the Ohio Players even make an appearance themselves playing at a nightclub! On googling, I can tell you they formed in Ohio (natch) way back in 1959, and continued touring into the 1990s. Their version of "Over The Rainbow" was played at Judy Garland's funeral. And this little tidbit... "The group had become renowned for their sexually explicit album covers, suggesting the possibilities of a jar of honey, or depicting macho males dominating scantily clad subservient females - and vice versa."
@ filmpac - If ever a state needed a sexier image, it was Ohio. The Cd size of these images completely neuters how provocative they were as Lp's.
Wooohooo! Ferrio out west! Thanks filmpac!
"Turntable Time" does feature today the most unusual horror film score ever.
You don't believe me ? Then go to http://www.clickhereifyourecool.blogspot.com/
and listen for yourself.
BTW filmpac - With wildfires all over the place here, these westerns go perfectly with the red sun we're having due to all the smoke.
@filmpac
Thx for the special treatment, in particular because Tex is a particularly good score.
Thnx again.
@H2O
I gather you removed Trovaioli's Lunghi Giorni for the sake of the three comedy soundtracks. Will you give us another chance on the Western score?
@ carrasco - He will repost it in our Halloween Treats, October 30 + 31st.
@ filmpac - I'll open the post on the 29th for those ahead of us, in global rotation terms.;)
@ Segroeg,
Thanks for the update.
@ Isbum
Hoping this is what you need.

Quinlan: don't list this one, ta.
And an odd (decidedly non-soundtrack-y) request, for a friend who has looked high and low, in the unlikely event that someone could provide a pointer. Just because, you know, you guys are the best music people I know.
A bootleg called:
"John Cale in the Gluepot"
Thanks again to H2o & filmpac, and best wishes for Southern Californians.
@ filmpac -Yes.
Another thread.
Remember the cleanup from the last naughty weekend?
Ha! It took as long to clean up as it did to have it.
@ filmpac - Thanks for the concern my friend. I'll have a think on your suggestion.
Man, oh Man! The Ferrio's are so great!
@ benoit
Reur post of October 23 "Cinema Collection Vol. 3 - Jean-Paul Belmondo".
I guess it's by various artists. Could you please confirm? (for the October link list).
BTW the link says "File not found".
Thank you for your cooperation.
@ kossage
I have a 9 tracks "The Three Caballeros".
I know it's not what you're looking for, however if you'd like to have it, say the word.

Aggiungi Un Posto A Tavola (Trovaioli)
Not my rip, different bitrates, but complete and sounds very good.

Can anyone provide a vinyl rip?
