Thanks to the original uploader. I did some restoration since there were a few clicks and a disturbing humming and rumbling noise at the beginning and the end of each track. I think the result is satisfactory. Enjoy
@filmpac well i know that filmpac iam always come with difficult requests :D and iam very thankful to u and appreciate ur all efforts to fillup my requests but this time i have sum easy requests :D
James Horner - A Beautiful Mind CD Version with 320kbs
Jerry Goldsmith - Hollow man Original Release CD Version with 320kbs
Hello forum. Would love to be invited to La Leyenda de los Soundtracks blog. How can I get invited? Could you help Voncheech? My e-mail is alevietti@aol.com Thank you so very much!
A little over a year ago I started putting a compilation together I was going to call: NEVER HEARD IT QUITE LIKE THAT BEFORE. The intention was to string together a number of very familiar tracks in arrangements so different from the original that they would sound almost like new pieces of music.
(Hey, isbum, there’s a suggestion for a monthly contribution!)
I kept running into beautiful music that seemed uniquely suited to the Christmas Season, so I started setting those tracks aside. Pretty soon I had enough for a gorgeous album and gave it to friends and relatives.
Just in case any of you are getting a head start on your holiday gift list, you might want to consider a copy of:
SILENT NIGHT, HOLY NIGHT, GENTLE NIGHT (Various Artists)
1. Veni Veni Mannheim Steamroller 2. Jesus Born On This Day 3. Puer Natus Annie Minogue 4. In The Bleak Midwinter Gregorian 5. Quem Pastores Mae McKenna 6. That Night In Bethlehem Celtic Woman 7. Breath Of Heaven (Mary’s Song) 8. Rose Of Bethlehem Maire Brennan 9. Bright Star Moya Brennan 10.David’s Song Kelly Family 11.The Christ Child’s Lullaby Sheena Wellington 12.Some Children See Him James Taylor 13.Coventry Carol Dunedin Consort 14.Wexford Carol Celtic Woman 15.Ave Verum Corpus 16.Adeste Fideles Enya 17.Oiche Ciun (Silent Night in Gaelic) 18.Silent Night Sinead O’Connor 19.A Christ Child Lullaby Mae McKenna/Mari Macinnes
It's been a while since I've been able to contribute, but I thought I would give you guys some great classical/musical music. Try this guy out - Johan De Meij in this collection I made up. It includes his famous, "Lord of the Rings Symphony"
Conti - Breaking the sound barrier@320 http://rapidshare.com/files/60710352/Bill_Conti_-_Breaking_The_Sound_Barrier.rar
While we're at this, could you please again clarify what kind/tone of music you're looking for with the compliation? I thought you settled for the "jaunty" stuff with light-heartedness instead of big dramatic cues. Jus' asking.
As to furthering my definition of the theme, no need for it at this point. I stand by my initial post describing what it is I want. Three examples are more than enough.
Any "adventure" or big orchestral tracks will serve to break up those with a full-on ethnic approach.
That's what I'm thinking at the moment, anyway. I don't think calling it "jaunty" or "awe inspiring journeys" will allow for the broader interpretations of this to be submitted. Let's not limit this in any way, I guess is what I'm saying. :)
@ isbum - Now you got me all confused again on the Travel Project. Not sure my contribution really matches any of your examples there. Mine is just the montage from the movie with them dashing all about the countryside. But if it fits the rest of what you are after and you're happy, then I guess I am too. PS. I am digging Lalo & Friends, thx for sharing.
If you remember this time last week we were talking with Isbum about the score and/or Various comp from the film Layer Cake, did you ever have any luck?
But as me and Isbum are the biggest Schifrin fans in the world we would appreciate it very much (I think I can speak here for Isbum) if you would also upload the Schifrin score.
I'm collecting every note by Schifrin for over 35 years now but haven't a single second of this score, so this would be a great addition to my collection.
Many thanks in advance and best greetings from Germany
@filmpac u called ur self scrounger but for me ure a indebted to me because the collection of scores i have wud never have been completed without u and isbum and now1 and i want to thank every our blogs friend. Thanks alot
@Voncheech- Thanks for the offer, will contact you privately. I didn't copy any links, but I can see why people got upset over that.
@Everyone- I understand that 'The Razor's Edge' might be something that people are interested in; if so, give a yell and I'll upload it. However, I only have time to check the blog about once a week, so there might be a delay. ;)
@filmpac oh sorry i should be tell u about my self before yes rajafarhan is my real name iam muslim boy live in pakistan city karachi age 24 and iam student
Now here is why I asked. I was going through a whole bunch of old uploads of mine thinking I would post some of them to La Leyenda, and guess what I find? Well, I'll tell you.
The scores that I uploaded for one amadues here, had been re-uploaded there by one rajafarhan. Now, I accept that you at least had the good grace to re-upload them, and not just use the same link, but don't you think it might have been nice to mention something on La Leyenda? Hmmmm?
Here's another thought for you. How about you return to this group some of the other links that you have also posted there? Such as "On The Waterfront"? Now that would have been a most welcome post here.
And in the immortal words of Forrest Gump... "that's all I have to say about that".
Careful, Filmpac, you might get Amadues blacklisted... Now credit where it is due--the collecting community owes more to the Leyenda than it can possibly repay (& I owe it mucho, mucho graciases), but in the last 12 months LL has degenerated from an invaluable resource for all to enjoy into a disturbing bunker of paranoia & isolation. This has kept it alive after all this time and the failure of so many other domestic blogs, but at what cost...?
@all - We're a very small group of folks sharing love for a very specialized field of music. As family it's more important that we be friends. :)
As a philosopher once said, "It's a good thing this blog is more about people than music." Thank U Isbum!
I've always been a sucker for an oft neglected genre which I loosely call "Singing Celebrities". Most of them are complete shite, but every now and then one really shines. It might be winter in the north, but it's summer down under, and this is the perfect accompaniment to a Pina Colada... or a beer:))
One of my fave actors Robert Mitchum ventured across the border to film "Heaven Knows, Mr Allison", and got caught up with calypso music. For the full story read the Wikipedia article, scroll down to Musical Career.
This is one of my rare forays into lounge or exotica music, I hope the specialist bloggers in that genre can forgive me...
Contains 2 bonus tracks, including the great "Ballad Of Thunder Road". I'd like to request Bob's follow up album, as noted in Wiki it's called "That Man, Robert Mitchum, Sings", recorded a decade later in 1967.
@ jeffy - Last thing I want to do is get Amadues blacklisted at La Leyenda. The moderators of that forum are far more guilty than he of posting various uploads of mine over a large period of time.
Paranoia is all well and good, but I guess I'm still a little bit ticked at being taken off-list myself, given the number of posts of mine (and others here) that have turned up there under a variety of nicks.
I am all in favor of them being a private registration group. I am also all in favor of just sharing the music, regardless of where it originates from. And I always credit the original ripper and/or uploader, when I know them. But La Leyenda themselves have expanded the rules re postings required, citing that other blogs and forums are stealing their links. Now this may be true, but they themselves have never been shy at grabbing and re-upping from others, without the slightest form of credit.
This is hypocrisy at it's worst... and that's all I have to say about that!
@Filmpac, glad we could jauntily vent (you may have been undeservedly delisted, I've never even been listed, so rest assured I'm much more your fan than theirs in the scheme of things), I was just aiming in my wistful last post for a global soundtrack harmony, which does exist... or I will keep drinking jauntily until it does. ;)
@ jeffy , filmpac - Never liked that blog. All bells and whistles and no heartbeat. Just like a vending machine, sometimes you'd get B9 when you pushed B6.
Sometimes the bag would only be half full. No need to bother with it, I have more of everything I've never expected from people like the ones here!
After I was suddenly banished - for no 'obvious' reason since I never even received the courtesy of a message, I wrote them a polite Email asking to be reinstated. Nothing, although the new response when I try to enter tells me that "this account has been deleted". Sounds like I'm not the only one.
Thank heavens for groups such as this. More than just the music, people are treated with courtesy & plenty of good humour. Thank you all for that & let it continue.
I had exactly the same experience with "La leyenda".
I am willing to share to be part of their community but without any notice they banned me because of inactivity, so I had not even the chance of applying their rules.
I registered new two times but didn't get any response.
It seems to difficult to obtain the gary chang's score : the storm of the century. Anyone have this score?. My other request is the score of Fred Karlin : the man from Atlantis (47 tracks).
@filmpac Im sorry but the one u told me not to post I didn’t post it anywhere like Pan's Labyrinth promo I never had an idea that u are not going to like it because there are many links which are my own rip and I uploaded them and they are used in many places but I never minded it cuz I want everyperson finds those links who want them it don’t bother me if he uses my name or not but ure right filmpac all the efforts are urs and I shared them without ure permission whatelse can I say apart frm this that iam sorry it wont happen from now on I hope u will forgive me and u also want me to get blacklisted at leyenda thn tell me what shud I go to get blacklisted there , ill do whatever ure going to tell me I wudnt never shared it frm ure link but delete that leyenda account if there is no post in it for one week anyway im sorry I hope that ure gonna forgive me like a big brother i hope u understand what iam trying to say becuz my english is so bad. Thanks sorry again
Hello, hipsters. Happy to report the discovery of a clean copy of one of our top favourites. One bonus track, a 12 min. "Action Suite" which I cut together.

@ amadues - Whoa, dude! I said I don't want to see you blacklisted, no need for that or closing your account. That would just be silly. Likewise no need to go killing links or posts either. All I ask is that in future you acknowledge the original poster, if known. This is a common courtesy that should always be adopted.
@ voncheech - My apologies for venting a little at La Leyenda, they are not bad dudes really, although somewhat prone to the same lack of acknowledgement.
@ tony - Third the request for the Lalo, even if it comes with FX.
Bit busy at the moment on other stuff, but working on some older requests, might have something in a day or so.
@ Breton Girl - Not too sure if this is what you are after or not. Before I embark on quite a large upload, could you check this Beetlejuice track listing and advise if this is the Beetlejuice 2-CD version you are chasing? Disc 1 is an Isolated DVD rip.
no offense taken. we mods always make a point to credit original uploaders. though sometimes it gets confusing to credit the right members, with the popular scores that keep getting reposted on various sites...
rule of thumb there just post a few shares and you are free sailing to download to your hearts content or your hardrive's full at least...
i feel the pain the the members that got deleted in the shuffle, even though many of there uploads are there (posted by others..).
but, that why i am here to help..
p.s.
they had over seven hundreds member before it closed the door to leechers. now it has 330 hard working and amazing members! smaller family can be better sometimes.. like this blog.

Sorry parzival, me make not so perfectly clear. I no smart. Filmpac give me suite already. I search the V2rese Lp version (knowing that lable in the 80's, it may only be 15min. ;)
Here's an overdue explanation for the sudden death of ScoreBabyAnnex. It's very simple: I didn't have time to maintain it, and impulsively deleted it in order to make a clean break with the past to focus on the future. Sorry, if my decision confused or disappointed people. I guess one site (Score Baby -- the original) is about all I can handle at this time -- at least until my book is finished and in the hands of my publisher (don't ask). ;-)
Oh, it's worth mentioning that I didn't post that comment about writer's block on the ScoreBabyAnnex. Some fool hijacked the domain and is impersonating me, which is mildly amusing.
My problem isn't writer's block, incidentally -- my problem is having too damn much to do and not enough time to do it in. LOL
thank you very much to all those of blog he is fantastic and in special manucosma for MICHEL MAGNE-melodie en sous sol/ un singe en hiver thanks thanks thanks
I saw an Lp by Michel Magne yesterday. It's a collection of his music and has a woman on the cover who is only covered by motion picture film. Know this? Should I buy it? It's not that much, like 4.99.

Thanks a lot isbum for making room to our music pleasure, it's so comfortable here :)
From a film about two damaged people falling in love and damaging each other some more. Very good score from 1971(but this was a great year for scores), has late 60's vibe, fuzz guitar and organ spice the lush strings.
Also from 1971 comes this record by John Cacavas and his orchestra. Did a little research on it and found out that Cacavas did quite a lot of "library" work, mostly for the Boosey & Hawkes lable. This is closer to easy listening, but has some element's of his work in television. Greek label "Acropolis Records", gatefold cover suggests some bucks went into it's production.
"Brown County Revisited" Lp @320 by John Cacavas and his orchestra
I was the one looking for FEMINA RIDENS. Huge thanks to you and Isbum for making that upload available. I truly appreciate it though not to sound ungrateful I am curious about something I noticed from doing a track comparison at soundtrackcollector.com. There's a difference in the track listings. To my ear it sounds like tracks 2, 7, and 8 are from the LP and the rest might be captured from the movie itself(there's a bit of Italian dialogue heard in track 4). If theres a full rip of that LP floating around I'd sure love to hear it cause it looks like theres a few tracks that differ.
Thank you very much for your support in my campaign to reactivate the Green Eyed Lady's blog. The title of "Director of Personnel" in this case is limited to our little family in this blog only.
@ all friends of the greeneyedlady
A reminder that requests for invitations to her new private blog should be sent to mel468@gmail.com
Hi All Just a follow up on that problem I had with the John Barry concert I uploaded from one of my CD-r's, The Brand of Disc I was using at the time was HI SPACE, now as I live in the UK, I'm not sure how far this brand travelled, not even sure where they were manufactured. But I'd urge anyone to check out there stuff if it is around 10 years old, I have checked out a couple more today, and they are also shot to bits.. these were a blue faced recording surface..
Needless to say I am completely gutted, and I am now going to have to check through all of my CD's in order to find what else I used these discs for..
I'm afraid that I'm going to have to turn to my good friends here in order to try and find replacements in a pretty good bit rate.
I'll label these as BAD CDR REQUEST, if I could ask first of all for one of my very favourite Mancini recordings:
- Femina Ridens Wow! That's it! Thanks so much! I can't believe you found it and so quickly too. This place never ceases to amaze me. In anticipation I cranked the volume and hit play on the first track. Hearing that track in STEREO was an incredible thrill. The whole soundtrack is amazing and if anyone listening hasn't seen the movie, Track 06 is as much fun to watch as it is to hear.
Batman: 1. The Batman Theme (2:52) 2. Flowers (0:28) 3. Love Theme (2:08) 4. The Joker's Poem (0:38) 5. Clown Attack (0:56) 6. Up the Cathedral (3:06) 7. Waltz to the Death (1:09) 8. Final Confrontation (2:19) 9. Finale (2:34) Batman Returns: 10. Birth of a Penguin (2:31) 11. Main Title (3:35) 12. The Lair (1:38) 13. Selina Transforms (2:29) 14. The Cemetery (3:30) 15. A Shadow of Doubt (2:19) 16. End Credits (5:21) Batman Forever: 17. Main Title (1:44) 18. Chase Noir (1:56) 19. Nygma Variations (2:39) 20. Mouth to Mouth Nocturne (2:19) 21. Victory (2:29)
A very belated thanks to everyone for all the great music that continues to be posted here. I have recently completed a fairly traumatic house move - the most traumatic aspect being that my new place had no broadband connection - now sorted out, thankfully. Maybe I should have checked that before I signed the lease! Anyway, things are getting back to normal and hopefully I can start contributing again.
@ watson - I was starting to wonder. It seems like it's been over a month since you told me about this move. Good to hear you are settled now.
@ manucosma - One score and two very different versions. Nice to have this Cipriani score straight. The version quidtum and I re-upped is a wild and unpredictable patchwork. Thank you!
@ watson I have a link ready for "Arabesque" @ 320 + artwork (front & back). If it can save you time, just tell me, I'll post it. But I prefer to wait for your OK not to spoil your efforts. Cheers
I regret to inform that some weird virus trojan thingy has forced me to re-install Windows. Given the level of protection I employ, is frightening, and it could certainly happen to anyone.
It was a last resort, truly. Has taken me a day of frantic hair-pulling just to be able to post this message. No music files have been lost, but all of the apps I use on a regular basis need to also be re-installed.
I recommend ONE website that four-hundred and fifty thousand people go to every day withiout a problem, Isbum's computer crashes, and wham! I get blamed for everyone's computer going wanky.
And I didn't cause global warming either! (well, not much of it, anyway.)
PS: I use Norton & Counterspy, and I'm sure my DSL has some kind of firewall, so I just have normal problems.
This guy deserves to be recognised as one of the kings of British Funk. As far as I know, no collection exists, so I put this together over the last week, with 18 tracks pulled from Various Artists CDs and LPs. All tracks are matched for volume.
If you ever find yourself chasing a Morris Marina in a Ford Granada, this is your soundtrack...
"Spotlight on Keith Mansfield !" http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZKXPHSJM
@ filmpac Your contributions so far have been essentials and in case I failed to do it for each one of them I'd like to greatly thank you for all your tremendous posts. Hope you'll overcome your computer difficulties rapidly; My 2 cents: try Kaspersky anti virus (Internet Security version 6.0). Very efficient. It protects you against virus, trojans, warms, spywares, rootkits, pirates attacks, spam & phishing. Cheers
Very pleased that this Lp stayed in the store until I returned yesterday. Certainly a cut above the easy listening audience it seemed intended for, this collection is simply beautiful.
Includes Le Repos Du Guerrier Melodie En Sous-Sol A Coeur Joie Don Juan Symphonie Pour Un Massacre Les Grands Chemins La Marquise Des Anges Le Complot Galia Le Malade Imaginaire Bell De Jour La Ronde
Thanks for all the kind words folks, re my trojan woes. My firewalls have firewalls, and my anti virus software has never failed me before, always a first for everything.
Anyone having problems uploading with Megaupload lately? It seems to slow down to a crawl, I've had to split Beetlejuice into 3 and go with something else. Update: The something else was Mediafire, it's bogging right down too, so I'm back on good ol' Rapidshare.
Speaking of Beetlejuice, there seems one glitched track. So, if anyone has Man Smart, Woman Smarter by Harry Belafonte, about 3:33 minutes, could they please upload? Preferrably @320 bitrate to match the rest of this 2CD rip. TIA.
Some great posts for me to catch up on, thanks to isbum, tony, manucosma, 3410, benoit et al.
@ isbum - No, not been like that before. Everything feels sluggish. I am running on a different connection than before, and at some point yesterday (? gah, feels like a week) my ISP changed my password, thinking that was the cause (a mismatch between password at my end and theirs). Perhaps that downgraded my plan somehow, right now I dunno. I can feel another lengthy phone session coming up to resolve this, but I just ain't up to it at the moment.
Beetlejuice shall arrive one day, mebbe not today... sigh
It’s a real pleasure for me to be able to help you out for a change. Here, from my vast collection of oldies, is Harry Belafonte’s Man Smart, Woman Smarter.
@ Filmpac: i've already wait for a year (or more) for that Beetlejuice 2cd, i could wait a little bit more... ;) Hope your internet connection will be back normal soon...
re: "Vergogna Schifosi" I've been meaning to deal with this one for a while. Yes, the master is a bit ropey, it seems, but also I've d/l'ed two different copies, with the last track on both corrupted. So, I hope this helps:
@h2o - Thanks so much for the De Masi. He is definitely high on my list as one of the best composers.
I have a Western score to post later today or tomorrow, that I don't think has been posted before. If it has, then I must have missed it, because I've requested it several times :)
hi. hawaii five-o a great 70's tv series and a soundtrack to match by morton stevens. enjoy. http://rapidshare.com/files/62111829/Hawaii_Five-O.zip.html
I picked this up and some Time/Life soul compilation Cd was inside. But, I knew who to call. 7 Black Notes had this and shared it with me. And now you!:) My opinion is that this would have made a great biker movie soundtrack, heck, it's better than a lot of those. However, if you're my age, this was an X rated movie at a time when they could still play in the small town cinemas.
"The Minx" 1969 expanded Cd by Tom Dawes and Don Dannemann
Thanks for The Minx, it looks boffo - The Cyrkle 4-Ever!
@ 3410
Intrigued, inspired, & thankful by your recent K. Mansfield post, i searched my hard drive for others by him and came up with an additional 30 tracks that all fit neatly onto one cdr. I dig his stuff too and am shocked that we haven't seen any lavish 3 cd set retrospectives on this giant of eaZy.
FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER The Following Bootlegs are from my Rips. MP3 edited files using Audacity Portable to edit out as much as the SPFX and dialogue as possible. At times if MP3s' are available from composers compilations or other sources I will use them. If you feel as if you need to upload the following to your blog, please throw credit my way.
Various Artisits Soundtrack Tracks 24-28 include 24. In The Midnight Hour - Wilson Pickett 25. Louie, Louie - Richard Berry 26. You Could Look It Up - T-Bone Burnett 27. Come To Me - Deborah Holland 28. Come To Me - Brad Fiedel (Vocals)
Apparently he did have a few albums under his own name, including "All You Need Is Keith Mansfield" and "The World of Keith Mansfield", so I guess "Spotlight on..." wasn't too far off the mark for a title.
@ isbum "La Rouge Aux Levres" (EP) is on this blog. I also never heard LP released. http://my.opera.com/moogsensations/blog/les-levres-rouges
"Et Mourir De Plaisir" was composed by Jean Prodromides, not De Roubaix. I have it as compilation LP, but sorry for cannot rip. Here is insead of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjUz3iSgJ54
@ tony Glad you enjoyed De Masi. I'm looking forward to your western posts.
Re Angela Morley, aka Wally Stott aka the genius behind most of the fabulous arrangements for Scott Walkers' late 60's solo albums, here's a couple of tracks I've had lurking around. These are nnot my rips, but come from the Unheard Melodies series.
It was a series of compilations floating about around 3 years back - several compilations I have 5 compilations: "Rare American Film Music of the 1960's Vol 1 and Vol 2, Rare US Music of the 1970's, Rare US Music of the 1980's and Rare British Film Music.
For some reason (mostly my stupidity) I seem only to be able to upload inividual tracks rather than entire albums. If anyone wants to contact me privately on ssarag1138@aol.com and talk me through it, I've followed the instructions posted here, but still when I get to the upload bit I can only choose individual tracks.
Here's Lalo's En Grabado Vivo, Live in Buenos Aires, sadly a very crappy copy, but, other than one skip that I can remember, the whole thing plays through, Enjoy!
I'm looking for a song that's played in the movie "Eliza" but that's not on the soundtrack release. It's like a gitan song played when the actress (Vanessa Paradis) throw everything away in a box at the airport (for those who knows the movie). The movie was made by Jean Becker in 1995.
many many thanks for the Schifrin LP, I'm listening to it right now.
For all fellow fans, here is the track listing:
GRABADO EN VIVO!! Lalo Schifrin en Buenos Aires Live in Buenos Aires: October 29, 1970 Lalo Schifrin (p); Horacio Malvicino (g); Alfredo Remus (b); Pichi Mazzei (d).
a. Bullet (sic) (Lalo Schifrin) - 8:40 b. Blues for Johann Sebastian (Lalo Schifrin) - 10:50 c. Mannix (Lalo Schifrin) - 2:10 d. Con Alma (Dizzy Gillespie) - 8:00 e. Manteca (Dizzy Gillespie) - 8:34 f. The Cat (Lalo Schifrin) - 7:04
Issues: a-f on RCA Victor (Arg) AVS-4096. Producer: Alvin Bart Notes: Emilio A. Stevanovitch
The introductions are spoken by maestro Schifrin himself.
If a soundtrack has the word "Heist" in any of the track titles, I can't stop myself from buying it. With Mark Isham, it's been more miss than hit with me, but after only one listen, I feel this one has some very good moments.
With this one, the combination of Isaac Hayes, Debbie Harry, and Adrian Brody in some oddball crime thriller caught my attention. Well, that along with the fact that I've recently become a fan of Theodore Shapiro's scores. Sadly, very little score here.
"Six Ways To Sunday" 1998 Cd @320 by Theodore Shapiro
I'll have do dig out the original files, my drive deleted a bunch of stuff on me, keep finding more each day. ALso, I posted the Poo release of the HIlls run red On the MOrricone Lover blog quite some time ago, should still be there. JP
Too late tony, they disconnected my upload 3 times! Fuggetabout 'em. ;)
"John Williams Works" 1979 Lp @320 The Croad Terry Grand Orchestra arranged by Shoji Yokouchi
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KCHPSEID
Recorded in Japan, this takes the disco beat of Williams Close Encounters and slows it for a funky version. Star Wars, though, keeps the disco. Excellent take on the Black Sunday theme. Lively version of Jaws 2 and Midway March. Afraid side 2 is not so hot. The Fury and Eiger Sanction stay too close to the originals but the jazz guitar and harmonica work in favor of Earthquake and Cinderella Liberty. The less said about the song from Paper Chase the better. ;)
@ isbum - Sorry mate, yes, it seems we still have problems here. What is happening is that when I upload to any service (rapid, mega, mediafire etc), the speed starts off as normal but rapidly deteriorates until it disappears up its own wazoo, and the upload ultimately fails. My download speed seems unchanged from before. My speeds in both directions are also totally unchanged on p2p and torrents. This is ONLY affecting uploads via rapidshare et al, on ANY service I try.
I've run virus scan after virus scan, but to no avail. I've looked at running processes etc to try and kill anything suspicious, again to no avail. Speed tests on my line by my ISP appear to be fine.
At this point, I am totally open to any and all suggestions.
@ Filmpac: have you ever try yousendit? It's the only one who works for me when i've got troubles with every others sharing services... And for your upload problems, looks like it's something technical more than a virus/trojan/worm, but i'm not sure...
@ filmpac - I think someone gave this to you already, but after looking over the credits on the Lp, I had to check it out myself. Produced by George Martin who composed several tracks. It has Elmer Bernstein and Don Black("Gold") collaborating on "Diamond Trinkets".
"Honky Tonk Freeway" 1981 Lp @320 by George Martin
@ filmpac Reur problems of loading speeds. I don't know whether what I am going to say could help, but I try. What's happening to you has also happened to me, not in one but in several occasions. The only difference, if I understand you properly, is that I was affected by a drastic speed slowdown for both downloads and uploads, where it affects you only for the uploads. Anyway, provided you're connected to Internet by ADSL thru a "box" as I am, either reset the box or more simply, unplug it, wait ten seconds and plug it again. In my case I've been able to recover the original speed in a matter of minutes with this procedure. For your information, it's normal with the ADSL technology to have an uploading speed slower than the downloading one. It's th "A" of ADSL (Asymetric Digital Subscriber Line). Asymetric means that uploading and downloading speeds are not the same where they would be identical with a symetric solution (HDSL); but the latter is not used. Generally speaking, the speeds (up & down) are related to a number of parameters. One of them is the distance between your telephone outlet and the next computer operating your line. If your uploading speed is too slow as opposed to what it used to be, you may have to call your provider and ask them whether this is normal. Hope you'll find a solution quickly anyway. I know how frustrating it can be. Good luck!

Thanks to the original uploader. I did some restoration since there were a few clicks and a disturbing humming and rumbling noise at the beginning and the end of each track.
I think the result is satisfactory.
Enjoy

Hello forum.
Would love to be invited to La Leyenda de los Soundtracks blog. How can I get invited?
Could you help Voncheech?
My e-mail is alevietti@aol.com
Thank you so very much!
Wondering if I should hire a couple of travel agent's.
We could book flight's and reservation's to other blogs. ;)
After all, travel is the theme of this month's project. :)

@ h20 - Thanks for going over to nomwl1's and posting "Mad, Mad, World".
What can I say, I fly kites. Some go far, some crash to the ground.
We just try stuff.
@ Filmpac,
Thanks for the Bride pal, very much appreciate it.
Ennioman
It's been a while since I've been able to contribute, but I thought I would give you guys some great classical/musical music. Try this guy out - Johan De Meij in this collection I made up. It includes his famous, "Lord of the Rings Symphony"
Please Enjoy!

@ ruggo - Let's track down a Cd version of your selection for the "Film Music That Travels" compilation.
The one you gave is from Lp and has pretty heavy "noise reduction" applied to it.
REQUEST-
We need "Breaking the Sound Barrier" from "The Right Stuff" by Bill Conti from Cd.
@ Isbum
I'll up the sound barrier right away, boss!
@ Isbum
Breaking the sound Barrier at 320 from CD

I've also put this in the project area.
Ennioman
@ parzival - Thanks. Looks to be a quiet weekend here. I'm headed to Long Beach today. Going to flip some dusty Lp's around that town.
Rippin' the Melvoin right now, sippin the morning brew.
@ Parzival
Sorry bud I was already ripping it before your post went up.
Ennioman
Here goes, patron!
Conti - Breaking the sound barrier@320
http://rapidshare.com/files/60710352/Bill_Conti_-_Breaking_The_Sound_Barrier.rar
While we're at this, could you please again clarify what kind/tone of music you're looking for with the compliation? I thought you settled for the "jaunty" stuff with light-heartedness instead of big dramatic cues. Jus' asking.
...oops, now we've got 2 rips@640...
my bad
@ enniozaval - Much thanks for the Conti.
@ amadues - We do what we can bud, but don't give me all the credit, I'm just a good scrounger. Hope you like this one...
Alex North "The Rainmaker" (1956), LP @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/60580502/AN-TheRainmaker.zip
@ h2o - Isbum's got me chasing my tail all over blogland now. You asked for this at nomwl1's and got it there, everybody else can get it here...
Ernest Gold "On The Beach" (1959), @256:
http://rapidshare.com/files/60618027/EG-OnTheBeach.zip
@ isbum - Now you got me all confused again on the Travel Project. Not sure my contribution really matches any of your examples there. Mine is just the montage from the movie with them dashing all about the countryside. But if it fits the rest of what you are after and you're happy, then I guess I am too. PS. I am digging Lalo & Friends, thx for sharing.
@ Filmpac
If you remember this time last week we were talking with Isbum about the score and/or Various comp from the film Layer Cake, did you ever have any luck?
Ennioman
@ ennioman - Yeah, I posted the various artists soundtrack, tail of August I think. No luck on a promo score, but here's the soundtrack link again...
Various "Layer Cake" (2004), @224:
http://rapidshare.com/files/59256533/OST-LayerCake.zip
@ quinlan - Do not list.
@Filmpac
Fantastic, thanks mate.
Ennioman
@Tony
Hi Tony,
many thanks for THE NEPTUNE FACTOR.
Omega
Jeeez dudes,
Imagine what a hard time the likes of Williams, Barry, Horner etc have in trying to work out what the Director wants for his film :)
Then again most Directors probably just say "give me a JAUNTY little number and I'll be happy"
The quest continues.....
I love you lot:)
Methinks somebody's gonna e-slapped if'n we mention that JAUNTY word again;)
@filmpac
u called ur self scrounger but for me ure a indebted
to me because the collection of scores i have wud never have been completed without u and isbum and now1 and i want to thank every our blogs friend.
Thanks alot
@ amadues - You're welcome, always, I love the old classics too.
While you're here, I've been meaning to ask you. Are you by any chance known under another name on another forum? rajafarhan? Is that you?
Guilty as charged ;)
and I second that amadues, without filmpac the blogworld would be a lot emptier, keep searching you old internet ferret :)
I'll never mention the "J" word again:)
@Voncheech-
Thanks for the offer, will contact you privately. I didn't copy any links, but I can see why people got upset over that.
@Everyone-
I understand that 'The Razor's Edge' might be something that people are interested in; if so, give a yell and I'll upload it. However, I only have time to check the blog about once a week, so there might be a delay. ;)
Listening Visions
@filmpac
oh sorry i should be tell u about my self before yes rajafarhan is my real name iam muslim boy live in pakistan
city karachi
age 24 and iam student
@ amadues - Yes, I thought so.
Robert Mitchum "Calypso Is Like So" (1957), @224:
http://rapidshare.com/files/60790065/RM-CalypsoIsLikeSo.zip
Hello,
I just returned from a jaunty little trip to Long Beach.
Arggg! Now you got ME saying IT!
Think I may have some goodies to share. Later.
No need to bother with it, I have more of everything I've never expected from people like the ones here!
...and that's all I have to say about that. ;)
@ Filmpac, Michum singing calypso, great! You've made my day, my friend... :)
Re: La Leyenda.
Are they running some sort of secret society???
After I was suddenly banished - for no 'obvious' reason since I never even received the courtesy of a message, I wrote them a polite Email asking to be reinstated. Nothing, although the new response when I try to enter tells me that "this account has been deleted". Sounds like I'm not the only one.
Thank heavens for groups such as this. More than just the music, people are treated with courtesy & plenty of good humour. Thank you all for that & let it continue.
There endeth the lesson!
SEASY
Hi seasy,
I had exactly the same experience with "La leyenda".
I am willing to share to be part of their community but without any notice they banned me because of inactivity, so I had not even the chance of applying their rules.
I registered new two times but didn't get any response.
Well, Rock God's are used to scoring with the ladies, let's see how they do with the movies.

@omega. Yes, I'm a huge Lalo fan as well, but there was so much fx in the score that I decided not to post.
I can post if you'd like.
Won't get to it until the middle of the week I'm afraid. Too much on my plate at the moment friend. :)
For what it's worth (not very much, I'm sure), I've been deleted from la leyenda composers AND soundtracks, both.
So easily erased!
Unlike this place.

@filmpac
no offense taken. we mods always make a point to credit original uploaders. though sometimes it gets confusing to credit the right members, with the popular scores that keep getting reposted on various sites...
rule of thumb there just post a few shares and you are free sailing to download to your hearts content or your hardrive's full at least...
i feel the pain the the members that got deleted in the shuffle, even though many of there uploads are there (posted by others..).
but, that why i am here to help..
p.s.
they had over seven hundreds member before it closed the door to leechers. now it has 330 hard working and amazing members! smaller family can be better sometimes..

So if you wish to do so, the best thing to do would be to contact me by e-mail with your request:

Thank you
@ mel - Nice promotion, Director of Personnel. :)
Here's an overdue explanation for the sudden death of ScoreBabyAnnex. It's very simple: I didn't have time to maintain it, and impulsively deleted it in order to make a clean break with the past to focus on the future. Sorry, if my decision confused or disappointed people. I guess one site (Score Baby -- the original) is about all I can handle at this time -- at least until my book is finished and in the hands of my publisher (don't ask). ;-)
Kris
Oh, it's worth mentioning that I didn't post that comment about writer's block on the ScoreBabyAnnex. Some fool hijacked the domain and is impersonating me, which is mildly amusing.
My problem isn't writer's block, incidentally -- my problem is having too damn much to do and not enough time to do it in. LOL
@ kris AKA diablo;iq)
Feel free to ask away for pic's, Lp covers, whatever you are looking for my friend, we're all looking forward to the book.

@ manucoma or Magne fans-
I saw an Lp by Michel Magne yesterday.
It's a collection of his music and has a woman on the cover who is only covered by motion picture film.
Know this? Should I buy it? It's not that much, like 4.99.

Thanks isbum for putting the word out about the need for images for my book and thanks to filmpac for providing Capricorn One. I appreciate it.
From a film about two damaged people falling in love and damaging each other some more.
Very good score from 1971(but this was a great year for scores), has late 60's vibe, fuzz guitar and organ spice the lush strings.
"Love Minus One" Lp @320

Also from 1971 comes this record by John Cacavas and his orchestra.
Did a little research on it and found out that Cacavas did quite a lot of "library" work, mostly for the Boosey & Hawkes lable.
This is closer to easy listening, but has some element's of his work in television. Greek label "Acropolis Records", gatefold cover suggests some bucks went into it's production.

Perhaps one of our British friends has the Cd compilations of library tracks from Boosey&Hawkes titled
"Summer Days","Industrial" or "Drama".
Think on it and enjoy the music.
@ quidtum
I was the one looking for FEMINA RIDENS. Huge thanks to you and Isbum for making that upload available. I truly appreciate it though not to sound ungrateful I am
curious about something I noticed from doing a track comparison at soundtrackcollector.com.

Hi All
Just a follow up on that problem I had with the John Barry concert I uploaded from one of my CD-r's, The Brand of Disc I was using at the time was HI SPACE, now as I live in the UK, I'm not sure how far this brand travelled, not even sure where they were manufactured.
BAD CDR REQUEST

Wow!

All the best,
Watson
@ watson - I was starting to wonder.
It seems like it's been over a month since you told me about this move.
Good to hear you are settled now.
@ manucosma - One score and two very different versions. Nice to have this Cipriani score straight. The version quidtum and I re-upped is a wild and unpredictable patchwork.
Thank you!
Thanks so much Watson

I regret to inform that some weird virus trojan thingy has forced me to re-install Windows. Given the level of protection I employ, is frightening, and it could certainly happen to anyone.
It was a last resort, truly. Has taken me a day of frantic hair-pulling just to be able to post this message. No music files have been lost, but all of the apps I use on a regular basis need to also be re-installed.

Hello and Thank you!

Track 01-06 : Milou En Mai (1989) [Stephane Grappelli]
07-11 : Zazie Dans Le Metro (1960) [Fiorenzo Carpi]
12-17 : Le Souffle Au Coeur (1971) [Charlie Parker & Sidney Bechet]
18-22 : Lacombe Lucien (1974) [Django Reinhardt]
Could anyone share the full score each of above?
@ Filmpac: sorry for the trojan, hope it'll be fixed son... :)
@ filmpac - awful news! *sigh* :(
I thought you knew the dangers of following Ruggo around. ;)
Hurry back filmpac. I'll just be muttering to myself like some fool until you return.

I recommend ONE website that four-hundred and fifty thousand people go to every day withiout a problem, Isbum's computer crashes, and wham! I get blamed for everyone's computer going wanky.
And I didn't cause global warming either! (well, not much of it, anyway.)

@filmpac - You're very welcome :)
BTW - Several of my uploads / downloads have been very slow indeed :(
@ filmpony - I could listen to the record faster than uploading at rapidshare. Has it always been like that?

GETTING STRAIGHT -Ronald Stein.
I had this LP many moons ago, and would love to have it again! :)
Beetlejuice shall arrive one day, mebbe not today... sigh
@ filmpac - Just put on that Magne Lp I posted, have about 6 or 7 Fosters and you'll ferget it ever happened.

what is "The Unheard Melody Series" ?
So far for me it is "The Unknown Record Series"...
Beste greetings
Omega
It was a series of compilations floating about around 3 years back - several compilations I have 5 compilations: "Rare American Film Music of the 1960's Vol 1 and Vol 2, Rare US Music of the 1970's, Rare US Music of the 1980's and Rare British Film Music.
For some reason (mostly my stupidity) I seem only to be able to upload inividual tracks rather than entire albums. If anyone wants to contact me privately on ssarag1138@aol.com and talk me through it, I've followed the instructions posted here, but still when I get to the upload bit I can only choose individual tracks.
...just found this rare Umiliani...
http://my.opera.com/Double%20-O-%20Soul/blog/10-bianchi-uccisi-da-un-piccolo-indiano
Hi Steve,
You probably can only upload one track at once, but you can put the whoöe album in a .rar or .zip file.
Search the net for Winrar or Winzip.
You should then be able to upload a whole album.
I recommend
Rapidshare (only files < 100 MB)
Megaupload
Mediafire
as upload services.
I would be very interested (and I think a lot of other readers here, too) in these compilations.
Best greetings from Germany

If a soundtrack has the word "Heist" in any of the track titles, I can't stop myself from buying it.
With Mark Isham, it's been more miss than hit with me, but after only one listen, I feel this one has some very good moments.

With this one, the combination of Isaac Hayes, Debbie Harry, and Adrian Brody in some oddball crime thriller caught my attention. Well, that along with the fact that I've recently become a fan of Theodore Shapiro's scores.
Sadly, very little score here.

On behalf of Sallie, thank you very much for The Parent Trap.
She's very grateful and is surprised that you even remembered it!
@ mel - Wonderful! Let her know we miss seeing "Audrey" here.

"John Williams Works" 1979 Lp @320
The Croad Terry Grand Orchestra

@Janus2810 @ the score
thanks for the scores guys,
@filmpac it could be spywear
@ mr t - I should mention I've run spywear checks too, I think I've worn out Spybot Search & Destroy.
@ filmpac,
Could be a browser problem. Maybe try to upload with a different browser or reinstall/update your browser.
I'll get back to you if I get some better advice from my friend. Good luck.
@ Filmpac: have you ever try yousendit? It's the only one who works for me when i've got troubles with every others sharing services...
And for your upload problems, looks like it's something technical more than a virus/trojan/worm, but i'm not sure...
Anyone go this for share

Reur problems of loading speeds.
Good luck!
