I would make a personal request to you, however, to keep vulgar language for your own blog and not use it here in future. It’s quite unnecessary, no-one else does or has ever done that, and bear in mind that we have ladies visiting occasionally, and I mean ladies.
Isbum, if I may just take over your blog for a minute to say this.....
I now realise why the Filmpacs & Rockets of blogland don't have their own blogs and prefer to roam the vast open plains riding their digitally rendered Harley's (or maybe Aston Martins) bestowing rare and treasured links to one and all. It's because trying to run a blog and visit here (and there, and everywhere) is virtually impossible, since starting my own site, I've fallen so far behind on my own downloading I don't think I can ever recover (all together now, aahhh).
The main point I'm tryiong to make is that I hope you all understand that even though I don't seem to contribute much here, I love this place and am always dropping by to see what everyone has to say. I just feel a little guilty that no-one ever seems to request anything that I can help out with (not very often anyway).
So, just to say a BIG THANKS to all of you you and especially Filmpac, Rocket, Quinlan and all the other regular link detectives that frequent here, it wouldn't be the same without you all.
And I just would like to say how great it is to see nomwl1 back in action, I'm sure I'm not alone in admitting that it was his music blog that inspired many of us to start our own.... Even YDHTVTB 2 (I mean Franklynot :)
Ladies & Gentleman, I bid you goodnight (or day wherever you are)
Thanks @Isbum & LoungeTracks ________________________________ @ Isbum & Edda: Here's The Sting - not my rip but thanks to the original uploader. -LT __________________________________ I much appreciated for find! I'm enjoyed!:)

Yikes. Sorry about that. Being offensive was never the intent of any post. Was going for the best possible PASS all the while trying to do justice to the overall feel of the material in question. Sometimes this is not easy. As a currently ON-STRIKE Writer my current lack of creativity might have gotten the best of me. Either way it wasn't meant to add Cheyenne Pepper & Rotten Eggs to the mix. I deleted the post and will re-up said share with a user friendly pass. :)
RE: RAPIDSHARE
Earlier this week, I had some imbecile making a major stink about how my blog (as well as another popular RAPIDSHARE ONLY blog) were near useless because of our uploading methods. I had to delete the comments it got so unpleasant and have been on the defensive since. Sorry if i misinterpreted your comments as something they weren't. It's been a long week in my parts. Take no personal offensive either way.
Now that the previous post has been deleted fans of MY BLOG know that it's going underground tomorrow. Send me an e-mail if you'd like to remain in. However, if your eyes and ears can't take offensive materials or are extremely sensitive, you might want to pass. (I'm not talking PORN or anything you'd expect to witness spending the evening with Britney Spears. Just a bit more 18+ than normal.) Anonymous Users need not apply. If your not a known member of here, SLPMOC, LLS or YDHTVTB then save yourself and my e-mail the time. Unless of course you can make a compelling argument for yourself. I have already had a request from someone that described himself as: SELF PROFESSED LEACHING SCUM. That just bought a tear to my eye. The honesty that no doubt took to type. I was almost weepy when I sent him back an e-mail denying him access. :)
Yes, i'm going to let the above LEECH in. It's all about content and I want the type of people that respect each other and the community on whole enough to be a part of it an not lurk. If you can't hit the comment button don't bother. Hence the reason i'm requesting ACTIVE MEMBERS only. Aside from that there are no rules. I'm opening it up to ALL for 2 WEEKS. December 14th 2007 at 12 am, Membership Closes. It's not about numbers it's about the content.
My e-mail awaits and i'll get those deleted links back up again as soon as possible. - VQ
about your first comment, i have to tell you that i do like "cayenne pepper" and even if your sense of humour is not appreciated at his level, i like very much that "border line" jokes.
sorry if my english speaking is not very good, but all of your comments, passes, etc., make me laugh.
for the rest, about your blog, i have yo take a look at it, but seems great.
PS. Notorious indeedy;) Such a delicate path to tread in the high pressure world of blogdom, hey. I am not in the least surprised to learn you are a writer, there is substance to go with your style. Kudos for the quick retraction.

Well, to be honest I was referring (by memory) to the main theme which is pretty ripe! I notice the score is conducted by Roland Shaw - did he conduct any other original scores or was he the amazing arranger we all know and love for most of his career?
@ tony - Here ya go bud, sorry 'bout the bitrate, but scarce as the proverbial hens teeth, whatever they may be. No track listing, so if anyone has one please advise...

I wondered how many people would not get the I.Q. PASS. It only works if you've seen the movie. Likely lost to everyone else. :(
@ filmpac
Is there anything left on that list? Thanks as always. I need to attempt another list. If only to try and stump you all on something that isn't Noble House.
I totally stole the link. So keep it on the hush, hush, down low and off the reservation. I am always telling the owner of this upload to never use my links. What a jerk. I need help. Enjoy as it's likely going to get me yelled at. :(
I won't be doing too many overtly Christmassy postings, but this one is just too good to let slide. Comes in two flavours, with narration by Bernard Cribbins, and without. Look for it under the tree over in the corner...
so surprised you are not a rapidshare premium member. i figured all the major players here had premium account. i got one and couple of months ago and it is so worth it.. wish i did it a half a year ago ! rapidshare saves me so much money, that it is worth it to me. i also shelled out for megaupload. i feel like i have gained back hours a days not having to type in security codes or deal with wait times. ok, i am starting to sound like a ad...
@ boynotorious - I have felt what you know is coming. The kind of slap for sharing some other persons music when asked not to leaves me feeling like a cat who's brought in a beautiful bird only to get scolded. *sigh*
If all regrets in life were so minor.
@ filmpac - Nice use of my analogy my friend! At least I think it was.
@ tony - If you like the following you can post it on your blog. However, MCA Records were using spare parts from WWII Bombers for their Lp pressings, so expect some shrapnel may still be present even after the cleanup.
"Forever Young, Forever Free" 1976 Lp @320 by Lee Holdridge vocal by Bernadette Peters
@ isbum - Analogy? What analogy? There's a flamin' great tree in the corner, it's got tinsel, and fairy lights, and an Isbum perched on top. And boxes underneath. Look, there's a snowman there, just waiting to be loved!
Filmpac trips off singing "They're Coming To Take Me Away Ha Ha!" before the nice men in the white coats, and butterfly nets come along:))
Request: Looking for Graeme Revell promo score to "Goal!", and I'm sure I saw it somewhere, but now I can't find it. Perhaps I dreamt it. Anyone?
Oh, I just remembered something else. Have we got a project this month? Something non-Christmassy, or at least Christmassy with a Franklynot twist? Not sure I can handle a CD of hark the herald angels singing, know what I mean?
Oh man, I hadn't even meant it THAT way. Is just what we call 'em down under, fairy lights! I was going more for the Isbum being an angel thing... My bad (-:
Hope I didn't offend with the "pepper" comment in regards to boynotorious; I certainly did not mean it in the "vinegar" sense (in keeping with the kitchen condiments analogy...), I meant simply that all of the posters here bring to this recipe their own special ingredients, and that's what makes the Frankly Not stew so unique. (True, if Paula Deen offered up some concoction called a Frankly Not Stew on the Food Network she would have been canceled long ago & the network forced to run cartoons in her stead. But WE have our own taste here) :)
Re: The project. We won't be around in 3007. It's the "Year of Bond". I think we should honor the old man. Q branch has failed to make it operational. M is calling all double 0 agents in on this one.
I recommend a solid 80 minuets of Bond instrumental score tracks. However, if you other Agents have suggestions, I remain open to them.
@ jeffy - Not at all. I borrowed the "pepper" as a way of saying something that might otherwise read like I was angry. I enjoyed the flavor, but feared lesser talented jokers would wish to join the circus. The day this blog reads like "Ain't It Cool News" is when I head-butt the monitor and die of electrocution.
My BOND Cover would kick your BOND Covers BUTT. That being said, I would enjoy the hell out of the new project. There are few things in the world that give me more enjoyment than a Bond Flick.
Might I nominate Eric Serra's THE GOLDENEYE OVERTURE for having the balls to try and shake it up and dare convention. It's a much maligned & underrated creation that doesn't get nearly the respect it should. All reboots should be just that. Sadly some things you just can't mess with. But I salute him for tying. Here is to you, E. :)
I love me some Bond music. I call my current compilation Bondage. And I'd recommend the Pfeiffer Bros version of the 007 theme from the Casino Royale trailers as a kick-ass entry in this new project that Isbum has yet to even actually define...
Bless Eric Serra's heart. His bold attempt to restart the franchise musically nearly sunk the whole film. That being said, I do find the Goldeneye soundtrack to be a really good listen as a thing unto itself. But, man, it really blows in the context of the film. Not quite as horrifying as Michel Legrand's abomination that is Never Say Never Again, but in the same ballpark...
OUCH. JUST STUFF THAT KNIFE IN THERE WHY DON'T YOU. Poor bastard. I will never get anyone to agree with me on this. Then again, I think Lyle Workman's SUPERBAD score is the best of this year. So what the heck do I know about anything.

Well, i still have the same requests: James Horner - Willow Complete Score 2cd Basil Poledouris - Conan the Destroyer complete score (there's a fan-made edition) [note: i am not searching for Conan the Barbarian complete score, i already got it in 3 editions, incleds the 3cd version. There's a fan-made Conan the Destroyer complete score, this is what i'm searching.] and any Harry Potter expanded/complete score not uploaded yet (with our without sfx) + Tremors complete score (not the promo already uploaded @nomwl1's ages ago)
Sally Albright is in the house. Do you also want the icing on the side of your wedding cake along with a optional cream filling. :)
All kidding aside, I can't help you. It's just the most SPECIFIC request i have ever seen. I just had to say something because I have zero impulse control and was born without tact. My apologies.
Real reason I was posting, more Ancient Requests: MEN AT WORK
Not the non existent Promo Score. Just the Soundtrack. I'll go digging for this thing if I have to but i'd rather give to you all first. Save myself some time if at all possible. :)
Don't freak out if I don't reply quickly. Till I do the switch over, remove the current Requests, (which will stay active) and add some bells and whistles I won't be sending invites.
RE: THE STRIKE
It's a disaster on so many different levels I wouldn't even know where to begin. Thankfully the TV Series I write for got picked up already for the full 22 episodes and is a favorite of the network execs. My job is secure for now. Other than that it is exactly like negotiating with a retarded person. These idiots keep giving us a bunch of different revisions that are basically the same package and acting like they are doing us a favor, all the while giving us none of the very simple and by no means greedy concessions we have asked for. It's never ending and pointless. We run their world and they seem to think were expendable. Let's see how that looks six months from now when they have to announce a 100% Reality TV Lineup on every Network at Upfront. And as it stands right now, that is exactly what your going to get in the very near future. :(
@ 3410 I´m Looking LUIS BACALOV Sugar Colt and La Piu Grande Rapina Del West PLEASE .... Thank you so much for your attention and GOD BLESS all in this blog
This one was requested a few time, here it is, 13 minutes of unreleased score.
NUOVO CINEMA PARADISO [EXTENDED] by Ennio Morricone

A Bond project! now that is a cover I would have liked to get my gnashers into, but I guess you want a different designer for each one :(
As for the content, maybe just gathering tracks will end up like the zillions of other Bond comps out there. Maybe we need some rarer artists (instrumental) to make it unique. Having said that, where do you start? as long as mr Roland Shaw gets a mention I'll be happy.
"Shoot To Thrill!"
Over and Out
P.S. I hope you will let me put this one up at my place when it's done (please)
@Crime Jazzers A great comp (Mainstream Records) My own rip from cd @320 featuring a bunch of great jazzmen (Shelly Manne, Joe Mondragon, Ted Nash and many others...) Elmer Bernstein's Collection http://rapidshare.com/files/73802607/Collection__Mainstream_Records_.rar I guess there's nothing new in it for most of us, but what a great selection.
This is definitely one of the more funky scores of Godzilla.
Thanks to the original uploaders on all of these. I know I got the Godzilla from XYZ Cosmonaut and now his site is completely defunct. Anybody know if he moved? He had so many giant monster movie scores I never got around to!
@ THXjay - It would be my honor to have you create a cover for this project.
I believe otherwise, it would fall under the category of "cruel and unusual punishment". ;)
@ rocket from mars - If you would like to organize the tracks for the final Cd, let me know. You're my number one choice and inspiration for doing this compilation.
The voting seems to be more for a various artists mash up. Final vote then,
I vote for the 3rd choice, with songs includes in the project. And then i'll be able to post something nice: a live version of Goldfinger by Blondie! :p
i helped ennioman yesterday move in to his new appartment and everything went ok.it will take 1-2 weeks to get his internet sorted and online. as soon as he is set up he will be back in action. all the best. the score.
@ h2o - Apart from a single 45 rpm release in Italy, this is the first full release of Giombini's score. It's a perky little spaghetti western score, I like it, hope you do too...
My vote would go for an all- original all-score, non-vocal comp. I'm sure between us we can come up with a truly definitive "Best of Bond" - definately no penny whistles!
Re Bond Project My vote goes preferably to N° 2 "All tracks from the original scores", only instrumentals! But to close this exceptional year - during which we had the chance and the extreme pleasure to be together here in this wonderful blog - in an exceptional manner, why don't we go for a double Bond project? One with original instrumental scores and a second one with only non original Bond related music including vocals. After all it's often that we can find double CDs albums at our trusted record dealer. If required I can take care of one of them when completed.
@ The original Daydream is about to be put to pasture. It's a sad day for an almost great blog. I simply could no longer handle the added pressure of running for AVN PRESIDENT and blogging at the same time. Let this be a lesson to all who are attempting to multi-task a great deal of things only to find your time is the only thing really lost. It was a great dream that was simply fit to die young. Such ambition never ends well.
Everyone raise a glass of your most expensive booze and toast what almost was.
http://enigmasdaydream.blogspot.com/ is about to be no more.
Sob. Sob. Sniffle. Sob. Sob.
@ Isbum
I'll vote for Option #3.
My nomination also stands.
And why does THXjay get the cover? I'd like to do a cover as well. What makes him so damn special? :)
@ Ruggo
I feel you. Here is to praying they catch my disease already.
@ boynotorious - So, is the private blog still slated to take its place, or do you join the ranks of the great unwashed guest non-bloggers such as myself?
And THXJay is the resident Crime Lounge specialist, so I guess it stands to reason. Although you could do one too, I suppose. Heck, we'll all do one, make a whole project out of it;)
For the Bond Project, probably no.2 but with vocals allowed, cant discount fab vocal performances now can you, but if you go for a double disc edition, a second disc of related lunacy would be a nice chaser for the main course...i mean how else am I supposed to get an OK Connery song on a comp...hehe =)
@filmpac - This is really a nice score. I didn't realize it was Christmas themed! How appropriate :)
"Good Luck Miss Wyckoff"
Track listings are:
SIDE 1: 1-Main Theme 2-Piano Recital 3-Abnormal Conditions 4-Encouragement 5-Dr. Neil 6-Ed 7-Merry Christmas 8-Coffee Shop 9-For The Coming New Year 10-Wonderling In Fantasy
SIDE 2: 1-Accident 2-Leiph 3-A Clandestine Meeting 4-Detection 5-Goodbye Principal 6-Journey To Tomorrow 7-End Theme.
Just check your e-mail in the next day or so. There is far too much I can't share as non-blogger to ever throw in the towel. It just turned out to be a whole lot easier to start from scratch and port over any existing posts.
The new URL will only be given in INVITES. If you don't get one you'll never know it. Being INVITE ONLY it's useless to non-invites anyway. Feel free to keep the INTRO REQUESTS incoming. There are about 24 or so last I looked. I will likely cap it at 50.

@ h2o - Somehow, I think someone shared "La Prima Di Morire - Stop - Londra" . The Lp cover looks very familiar. Thank you for the track, but I am looking for full scores.
Perhaps I'm dreaming. Or confusing "Fumo Di Londra" by Piccioni with it. The two scores were only a year apart.
@ isbum - Would you have a link handy for the non Matalo Migliardi? Matalo is a cracker, so belated thanks for that one (I am so far behind you have no idea). Also, just to say welcome on the Manos, our friend Methexis might have some more, plus another Greek score he has recommended to me (again, I need to earball it first).
@ boynotorious - Thanks for Anger Management, might come in handy here real soon. Any chase of a front cover to go with the included back cover? NOW!!! ;)
@ tony - Absolutely mate, you are always welcome to share anything on your blogs, I feel most honoured. Thx bud for the track list, I hate staring at Track 01, 02 etc.
@ ennioscore - Best wishes to both of you, look forward to seeing you settled soon.
From H2o last month. A Beat release with 3 scores on it. Very vvverry nice one H2o!
Mario Migliardi - Prega Il Morto E Ammazza Il Vivo (1971) http://rapidshare.com/files/71182604/MM-PIMEAIV.rar
enjoy!
Filmpac - Keep an eye out for "Corrida!" by Migliardi. It has a bullfighter on the Lp cover..not that anybody shows you the cover before they share something with you, but hey..you can tell them what to dig out of their record collections I suppose. Train of thought...going south.;)
I know this is not the place for country music, but I want the first Albums of JOHN DENVER and GLEN CAMPBELL on CDrip. If somebody could help... Thank you, guys!
@isbum
You sayd you have many VLADIMIR COSMA; do you have "MISTRAL'S DAUGHTER"(TV Series-1983-CDrip)? Thank you, nice guy!
@ elias - Actually my friend, I have just started finding a few Lp's by Mr. Cosma. Other members here are far ahead of me in their appreciation and collection of his music.
Also, don't be heartbroken if your Country boys are not posted. I too have had requests so far off this path that nobody posted them either. Perhaps filmpac's blog search tool can help you.
@ filmpac - While you are cleaning house, you might as well drop the De Masi with the damaged track. Eh?
@ isbum - Let's tackle the De Masi this way maybe. Could one of the mp3 wizards please remove the damaged portion of Track #7?
There is a sudden jump to something else that runs from 1:04 to 1:41 in the track, needs to be stripped out and the ends joined back together again. Hopefully, we can then get the cleanest possible result on what is a very cool little score. Thanks if anyone can help!
The May link no longer works:if someone may upload, once more,The Diary of Anne Frank by A. Newman, it will be great;I'm also looking for Arthur by H.Zimmer and Boys from Brazil.
Someone somewhere requested this, hope you are here and know who you are. A dark, moody electronic score with a bit of kick to it. WARNING: Contains dialogue, but in this case it seems to enhance. Hoping someone is after it...
@ Filmpac - OK. I was just posting that Thunder track, but the boss beat me to it.
What I'd add: Chances are I might be able to do more with it if I had the rest of the score with which to cannibalise from. If you wish to private share your link for the whole thing, I'll get back to you quickly with a result or at least an answer. Otherwise I'll have a look after you've posted. Up to you.
@ 3410 - Here's what I'll do. I'll post Thunder with Isbum's fixed track. If you can replace the damaged portion with something else, great, but for the life of me I can't imagine just *what* you would replace it with, since we have no way of knowing what was there originally. If that makes sense. By all means post your fix too!
@ filmpac - Whew! Thought your answer might be franklynot! While you brought up the subject of allowing (even asking) our blogging friends to share what shows up here, let me say this about that. The only reason we stopped was due to our links getting killed out in the fields. Takes me back to the days when "deletionNazi's" ravaged blogs.
Just ask friends, I am open to my posts seeing the light outside of this place.
Regarding TBFB, here's a post I made at YDHTVTB earlier in the year:
Regarding BOYS FROM BRAZIL, yes the longer version is a straight LD Isolated Score rip. There are several differences compared to the CD suggesting that there was a lot of post-production tinkering. Some cues on the LD are shorter than the official CD and vice versa owing to the "suite" presentation of the CD, some appear on the CD that weren't used in the film or are alternates of film counterparts. And of course there are some terrific cues that are officially unreleased.
Now hear this!...
Several years ago I cobbled together my own edition using both of these sources. I'm never content to merely plop down duplicate tracks from two sources that differ by two beats, etc. and call one of them an alternate (unless it IS a true "alternate"). Makes for a fairly repetitive listening experience IMO. Instead, I prefer to edit the WAV files into the cues as they were written. TBFB posed a bit of a problem in that the LD is in mono, so certain cues will switch from stereo to mono, as smoothly as I could edit them. The occasional FX bleed crops up from time to time as well, but it's not terribly distracting. My version has 17 tracks and runs around 50 minutes, and including the song "We're Home Again" sung by Elaine Paige.
I'm always hoping that this will be part of the Varese Club Series or Intrada's Special Collection. We'll see what happens tonight when Varese announces their latest batch. Intrada should have a new one in the next couple of weeks. But, if Varese has not included TBFB I'll up my version. It literally took me hours and hours to compile but I don't think you'll be disappointed.
End...
The link is still active, and was highjacked by La Leyenda and God knows who else. Anyway, ENJOY!!!!
Would anyone feel Christmas-y enough to upload a CD rip of Peggy Lee's CHRISTMAS CAROUSEL, or CHRISTMAS CAROUSEL, or CHRISTMAS WITH PEGGY LEE? Whichever you have would be great.
Since Isbum has no objection, good fellow that he is, here's my rudimentary fix. I'll leave it up to you. http://rapidshare.com/files/74107783/storedestruction-2.rar.html
well, i was bored, and a lack of cover for anger management got into my head, so i did a really rough done in 15 minutes cover. I like the layout, but i'm just not a photo shop expert...heh...well here it be... http://rapidshare.com/files/74130556/anger_quick_cover.jpg
Would anyone happen to have 1956's "The King And I" soundtrack and be willing to share it??
You wouldn't believe how hard i've searched elsewhere for this tonight. Deborah Kerr's song "Getting To Know You" was used in the first episode of Spaced that I just recently watched and now I can't get it outta my head!! (as if being able to listen to it over and over will help:)
hi friends,I wish to thanks all of you for helping me:you are very kind. Now,my new requests are: The legend of Lone Ranger Barry The Golden Seal Barry Along came a spider Complete score Goldsmith And,again and forever...many,many thanks!!!!!
AH,Sorry.I forgot! Kagemusha complete edition! I know a 2 cds set do exists, but it seems like no one ever heard of it!!! The composer is Schinichiro Ikebe, the film director was Akira Kurosawa
@ Filmpac - I wanted to thank you for the Snowman share-I had never heard this, and only knew that my favorite Tangerine Dream score THE KEEP used it, and I always wondered how Blake's music would be utilized in that score. Hearing Blake's 'Walking In The Air' literally brought me to tears last night, I'm not ashamed to admit, so many many thanks to you :)
It's wonderful themes from "Les Rois du gag" and "Le diner de cons" too!!
Sorry,i can't help you.. I have only main theme from "le telephone rose" http://rapidshare.com/files/32341956/01-Le_Telephone_Rose.mp3.html And one theme from -Dracula pere & fils aka Dracula & son http://rapidshare.com/files/74090485/01-Dracula_Pere___Fils_Dracula_Fils.mp3.html
And to keep everything together in one post, this is 3410's fixed track #7.
My thanks go to both of you, this is *exactly* what makes our group the best. There may be more to the Thunder 3 story to come, but just for now... no assembly required ;)
I've seen "Arthur",but for more of H.Zimmer,check out here http://chiefdundee.blogspot.com/search/label/Hans%20Zimmer and http://community.livejournal.com/ru_zimmer/
This "Arthur",i hope? http://community.livejournal.com/ru_zimmer/4226.html
I'm looking for Pierro Piccioni-Cristo e fermato a Eboli (I've seen this TV-in title wonderful music). Can't find long time. And Michel Fugain music from Pierre Richard's Je sais rien, mais je dirai tout http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0145005/
@ georges & eda-88 - You guys are confusing me. Zimmer's Arthur must be "King Arthur", yes? Not the Dudley Moore flick, Arthur? Right? Was it a Breton Girl request months and months ago? And didn't someone share recording sessions of that?
Sounds like a job for Q's link list... or was it even before we started up here?
@ goblinscore - Dang, now you went and brought a tear to my eye too. I gotta be honest here and say I've never seen The Snowman, but it is cool music, and yeah, a great little song. Glad you liked. As for "The Keep", a complete Keep remains something of a holy grail, so many versions of it out there. A *definitive* movie version would be nice.
@ mr.t - Good news my man. Package arrived today from Wisconsin with "The Devils 8" beautifully transferred to Cd. He did me the honors on "The Corrupt Ones" too.
I'll post them tomorrow with the best cover copies I can get off of my POS scanner. Drop me a line t. Your saying "Puts a sandy on me boat" is mine to use whenever I feel it... right? ;)
I watched "Race with the Devil" last night. Surprised that I've never read any message board chatter about this score. Like seemingly everything from the 70's, a remake is in the works.
The opening track of The General's Daughter (She Began To Lie) was a rearrangement by Greg Hale Jones of Herbert Halpert's field recordings of the Shipp sisters. Now I was interested to hear there's more of the same on two CD's "Now There Is A Tree Of Ghosts" and "Crossing The Willamette" by the same Greg Hale Jones. Any possible pointers to where I can access that? Thanks either way.
Say fellas, you can ignore my request for 'The King And I'. I finally found the song i wanted. I know i should be publicly flogged for even asking for such material, but i was a desperate fool at the end of his pitiful rope last night! That fruity song was haunting me all day.
Here's a quick link...
"Stripes" by Elmer Bernstein
http://rapidshare.com/files/74237383/Stripes.rar
Some of this score was also used in an episode of Family Guy when Stewie and Brian joined the army or something. Hope somebody likes it!
Thanks so much for le dinner de cons, I've been looking for that for a while now.
It's hard to believe that a year ago I had no idea who Vladimir Cosma was and now he's easily in my top 5 list of all time favorite composers.
I just wish I could see some of the movies he's written music for, but other than the Francis Veber comedies- not too many of his films seem to have hit the states yet.
Many things to say, little time to do it. So I'll chunk the lot! I've mentioned repeatedly that, for a while, I can't visit this place as often as I'd like to. And when I do come, I scan-read the messages in such a hurry that I miss threads.
@ isbum - Not sure, but I assume you've meant me about reprocessing sound (at ML's blog and here once, I think), when you wrote "...who among us did the seamless fix on some problem track we had before".
@ isbum, 3410 and filmpac [December 4, 2007 12:13 AM] - De Masi's "Thunder III": Not having downloaded the soundtrack, I didn't quite early pick up the problem. Have missed the beginning of the thread. Anyway, here's my smoothly-rejoined attempt at track #7, The Store Destruction. 3410's fix was fine, only the join happened at ½ a bar (measure/beat) too late -- or too soon. You can ask for my input at any time by mail, if it concerns an individual track.
@ di(aphanous - I doubt my tin ear will detect the difference, but what fun it was being part of the relay race. Unless you had a different screen name, I am almost certain it was 3410 I referred to. It's our good fortune to have such talented audio editors at the ready. Obviously, the originator of "Thunder III", was a multi-tasker who got his wires crossed.
Here's my following request for : Vangelis : Blade runner MR3 edition 4 cds. Jerry Goldsmith : The don is dead. The final conflict (dvdrip). Spiral road (21 tracks). Bruce Broughton : Young Sherlock Holmes (recording sessions 72 tracks 2 cds or 47 tracks 2 cds).
@ isbum - Yeah, again. You cannot know! Had you not thanked Filmpac for those Hadjidakis' scores I would have missed them entirely :-( Therefore, many thanks to both of you.
@ GoblinScore - Tears? You should have seen the "Fying in the Air" matching images of the animated Snowman! I was going to add that I have a weakness for this type of voices, but realised that I also have a weakness for "a type of" eyes and smiles and curves and walk and laughter and... what not!_
@ di{aphanous - Somehow I knew the Thunder 3 story wasn't yet done, thanks too for your efforts on the store reconstruction. OK Isbum, *some* assembly required;)
@ salm d - The Don Is Dead was posted on this very blog in June. You can find the link either on the June comments on the main page, or in Quinlan's excellent link list. Also, I have seen a 21-track Spiral Road, but on close inspection it proved identical to the one posted last month, except the large suites were expanded into smaller track titles. I can't help any with your other requests.
@ isbum - You're kind in praising the effort but, I bet also you can hear the difference; because you won't be able to notice any transition. My guess is that in this particular case, even de Masi would sign it as his orchestration. Just mark and listen twice to the renewed track, say from 0:40 to 1:15, while tapping your foot to the rhythm. Forgive me, and... have fun!
@ filmpac - Only the end result counts.
@ 3410 - I'm most anxious to read your honest — even harsh — comments. How does it compare?
Often forgotten,Les Baxter is a very interesting composer and the scores for the Roger Corman's films are at the top of film music. At the time of the release in theatre of House of Usher,at the very end credit,it was written:"original soundtrack availa ble on American International label". May be someone has this wonderful score;Tales of Terror also are interesting!May be 7 black notes who uploaded a smashing Pit and the Pendulum can help us ?
@filmpac - Sorry, but that music is just emotional to me, you know with the teariness, etc! :) The way the suite flows into the song, and just recognizing the melody in that setting....bliss! A complete KEEP is my holy grail as well, although one of our breathen came real close - not sure if the link is still around, but if there is interest I can rip and upload for all. @di(aphanous- I remember seeing that video (The Snowman) for rental for the longest time, but never got around to trying it. I guess being raised on dull Frosty by Rankin/Bass tainted my opinion (?). Nothing wrong with a weakness for that amazing boy soprano vocal though!!
I still don't really know where the break *should* go. It's rather a confusing metre, even without the big missing section.
Between the 3 of us, I think we've done as much as we can for now.
On the subject of repaired tracks, here's an approximation of the missing track 2 of Micalizzi's "Nati con la camicia" (posted version was a duplicate of track 3), edited from other versions of "Spies and Guys", including a section from the "Bud Spencer & Terrence Hill Greatest Hits, volume 4" version (all album versions were edited from the same basic track anyway). So, for whomever's interested: 02 Spies and Guys (approximation) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KE94BHAA
@ filmpac (& isbum) Just noticed your request for repair of Francesco De Masi's damaged "The Store Destruction" (in your case was it "The SCORE Destruction"?). Here it is fixed:
You should not detect the point of repair. isbum, my friend, I listened carefully to your repaired version but, with no offense, I'm afraid you removed 7 seconds too many. Cheers
@ filmpac Once again, I'm afraid I goofed. As I was a little behind schedule I did not pick up your request for the De Masi's repair early enough and did not realize that 3410 had proposed his fixed version and you had already posted a link for the complete "Thunder III" score. Sorry about that, for coming too late and over and above what has been done so nicely already. My sincere apologies to both of you.
i found this great record on some blog, it is a sometimes skippy vinyl rip but
@ isbum Yes you're right, I'm thru all the comments now and I guess I have to extend my apologies to di(aphanous also which I do very humbly. Francesco De Masi, when he wrote this score, could never think how many people would stay at his bedside to take care of this "Thunder III" track 7. We surely all deserve the red cross medal for that!
Calling all Tech Wizards! Well, just one will do ;)
For the Bond project, I have selected the original gunbarrel entrance (thought it would make a good opener), which alas does not appear on the official Dr No soundtrack album. It does appear on the Unheard Melodies series (direct movie rips), but runs into Three Blind Mice. So, could someone please download this track here? What I am looking for is just the first 1:17 or so. A fade-out would be nice too. Oh, and any remastering, bass boost, whatever. Hehe. Thanks for anyone who can help!
Isbum, placing this here so I don't clutter up the Bond project thread, will post the finished version there. Cheers bud.
Here's my fifth post of the month, it sounds really refreshing to me, I like it:

@ robot gunfighter Since you mentionned that you "discovered" Vladimir Cosma less than a year ago, here is a link to a CD rip of the scores he wrote for two movies which had quite a bit of success in France (one of them was subject to a remake with Gene Wilder). It's the scores of "Un Elephant Ca Trompe Enormement" aka "An Elephant Can Be Extremely Deceptive" or "Pardon Mon Affair" and "Nous Irons Tous Au Paradis" aka "We Will All Meet in Paradise". Very jazzy scores performed by some very good french jazzmen. I posted it a while ago, maybe at YDHTVTB and the link is still active, so in case you did not grab it yet, it's highly recommended.
Regarding the Franklynot International Salute to James Bond OO7 - The Year of Bond 2 O O 7
Get your favorite tracks in early my friends! Otherwise one of Ernst Stavro Blofeld's agents may kidnap your selection and leave you calling in agents OO2 and OO3. ;)
Hmmm.... having a rethink here. Dr No was only one of two films that did NOT include the famous gunbarrel opening. So, the movie rip is really just a variation on the James Bond Theme itself. Yes?
Dexter Rules. Best thing on TV Right Now, PERIOD. It isn't even a contest. Also: His fans that are getting into THE DAYDREAM are going to love me come Friday. Wait for it. It'll clear up why I went INVITE ONLY pretty fast as well.
@ All
If you approved, and there have only been two rejects thus far (Both of which have already been informed in case your worried), you should be getting my lawyers "moron proof" release in the next day or so. The reason for this will have a few of you scratching your heads till you actually get onto the new blog. It was sadly necessary given the direction I have decided to go. I can't have "the man" sniffing around The Daydream. It could get ugly fast and turn into the Enigma's Nightmare. They are paid to worry about this kind of crap for me. Hence the obvious questions to be asked before I can send you all a INVITE. (And if you've ever signed up for any TORRENT or BOOTLEG site, this should not be a shock.)
I had to go somewhat LOW TECH with the Template. I am not very HTML Savy it seems. It gets the job done just doesn't have the snap I wanted it to. The Content will have to make up for it.
Again: boynotorious@comcast.net if you want in. After it opens I might we just close it to the public to be on the safe side. Be Well All - VQ
@ filmpac, I hope you have something here. Dr No (No No!): I did all else but touch the frequencies - the sound's much too muted, and no manipulation of mine was satisfactory at the end. As such though, this end result is usable. Still, if anyone else would like to have a further go at it, I offer them my blessing and encouragement.
I did not know if the first four seconds (intro) were part of it, so both files are included — in WAV format — and can be joined together again.
@ filmpac This time I hope I am not coming after the battle. Here is an attempt of Monty Norman "James Bond Theme" remix. You'll see that there are three files in the folder. James Bond Theme 1 & 2 are from your post. I eliminated on both of them the little opening jingle. The N° 1 is a little longer than the second one because I tried to keep as much as possible of the main theme, so you can vaguely hear the start of the "Three Blind Mice" bongo part in the fade-out. In the N° 2, I started the fading out 3 seconds earlier so the bongo part is eliminated but there is a little less of the main theme. The third file is called "Quinlan rip. A while ago on YDHTVTB, I posted the first 14 JB albums from my own LPs rips. The Dr. No album has this James Bond theme which I have enclosed. I don't see a great deal of difference with the Unheard Melodies rip except that it looks more complete. Have a listen and tell me what you think. You'll be credited for that anyway. Again what I did is an attempt. If you want the bass boosted more (or less), please do not hesitate to tell me. Your idea of having this track as the opening one is obvious and excellent.
@ tony - I did a little networking over at The Manchester Morgue in your behalf. He recently posted several Francis Lai soundtracks. The more recent one I didn't think you had, so I asked him to donate it to your blog. Read the comments at this post and you'll see how thrilled Phelpster was to see For The Love of Lai.
I don't think he knew about this blog either, so perhaps we'll get a visit from a blogger who's been knockin'em dead for well over a year now.
@ filmpac - Too late my friend! I'm scratching my head now, being either too late or too early. Should never rush again...
@ boynotorious - You're a funny guy! Five days ago I've got the "Assassins" from you; two evenings ago I went back to write a ‘thank-you’ note, but was faced with something For INVITES only – etc. So, till now, one could "lift" a parcel from your doorstep but could not leave a banknote behind?
@ quinlan - You happened to be late too, but not for me! I decided to become a collector of every reconstructed sound file on this blog. BTW, mine is the extended version; runs for about 1:44+ (without the jingle) and has an intentionally longish fade-out.
@ diaphonous & quinlan - Have no fear, I too am scratching my head.
I am back to my original thought, and think I will be going with the Unheard Melodies rip, since it is the most accurate as to what was the opening theme in the very first Bond film.
I shall download all for evaluation, and again my deepest thanks to both of you. I know this stuff isn't easy, but I am just wanting the best result for the project. Thank you, friends.
It's great when someone compliments another post. Not for the first time, you've alerted me to something I'd missed (and I never miss a Segroeg compilation if I can help it).
@ All - About Hadjidakis "Aliki, My Love": Please, read below.
@ Filmpac - Your Greek friend Methexis (BTW, wonderfully erudite nick-name, meaning something 'among peers', thinking and feeling alike) he, then, may have more goods to offer. But I do HATE [in block letters] when Greek music is offered to non-Greeks in compressed form, while the titles and tags make no sense -- they're even unpronounceable! The limited number of characters in cellular mobile-phones sms/text messages are responsible too: A "c u l8er" it's allright for English-speaking folks, but what good is this to our friend eda-88 in Kazakhstan, who uses an automatic on-line translator in order to communicate with us? [Humorous 'boynotorious' was surely unaware of that fact.]
1) I have translated all tracks into English. 2) Moved the two soundtracks the other way around, in a much more satisfactory sequence, because this CD was launched for the internal Greek market [To Klotsoskoúfi was a huge box-office success, while Aliki had been a relative flop — despite having the added ", My Love" for its international release]: "Aliki" - tracks 22-33 moved up as the first score, followed by a two-second silent track, and then comes "To Klotsoskoúfi" soundtrack (originally numbered as tracks 01-21). New total = 34. 3) The tracks' filenames are short but clear. Tags ID3 V2 are complete, incl. comprehensive transliteration of the Greek. At least, you'll have fun trying to read them aloud! 4) I have uploaded my ‘new tracktitle-list’ as .txt, and a special ‘Aliki + Klotsoskoufi.htm’ to guide you, should you decide to make the proposed the worth-while alterations (rar file of 2kB).
Oh,... some funny little coincidence: A person very close to me had started his career in the film industry, exactly between those two films at their production company, submitting to the Big Boss a recommendation note written by that very same Aliki!!!
Sorry isbum, for the previous deletion. I wanted to shoot two birds with one stone, as nobody came in-between.
@ quinlan - Your own original rip of the James Bond theme has by far the best sound (dynamics); it's also perfect AS IS.
@ boynotorious - Thanks for the link to the ‘dailyscript.com’. Haven't visited such a site in years. Wasn't there (and perhaps still exists) another, similar one? Its web address rests peacefully in my dead old PC. For my nephew I had downloaded either "L.A. Confidential" or "The Usual Suspects" from there, in pdf form. But “DailyScript” has them as html only. I wonder...
@ quinlan - I can see I have now painted myself into something of a corner on this Bond theme.
Firstly, I appreciate both your and di(aphanous' efforts on this. I also agree that Quinlan's own rip is the better sounding when talking purely about the JB Theme.
I often times take the road less travelled, and thought it fairly obvious someone would put up the Bond theme for inclusion. What I was striving for initially was the famous gunbarrel opening sequence. I now have that, a 0:24 second track taken from an expanded version of Goldfinger. What I will probably end up doing is posting *both* the gunbarrel opening and Quinlan's JB Theme as my selections (total combined time is only 2:08) and letting Isbum or the final mastering guy do with them what they will;)
The dilemma now becomes who to credit the gunbarrel opening to, Barry or Norman? It certainly uses part of the original Monty Norman Bond theme (and that in itself can become quite a discussion, has been in the courts twice).
Thanks again Q!
@ di(aphonous - Outstanding work on Aliki, much appreciated. Yes, Greek titles leave us mere mortals tongue tied!
@ filmpac - James' tune: You had the solution all along. As for the credit, again it's in your own words "Barry or Norman"... question-markless!
Thanks for your response to "my" Aliki. That old way of writing "To Klwtsoskoufi" [by the same token they should type Alikh], had once been invented both for scholars & students of classical languages. Absolutely useless, stupid and arrogant when put to general use.
Here's a nice compilation of French movie music, again, it's a cd-rip.
ENNIO MORRICONE - MADI IN FRANCE
Part 1 http://rapidshare.com/files/73337322/Ennio_Morricone_-_Made_In_France_1.zip Part 2 http://rapidshare.com/files/73383427/Ennio_Morricone_-_Made_In_France_2.zip
@ filmpac Thank you for your well appreciated comments relating to James Bond Theme. In my opinion, there is no doubt, the James Bond Theme as played in Dr. No was composed and conducted by Monty Norman. Because Dr. No was a hit they decided to make a sequel, "From Russia With Love" where John Barry was credited for the first time in the James Bond film story. For our listening great pleasure it was the first time of a long serie. Every time he used the James Bond theme in his scores, he probably rearranged and reorchestrated it, but the composer remained Monty Norman. We can also say that John Barry's arrangements were often very close to what Monty Norman did in the first film which is the one I posted. Your idea of posting both versions sounds good to me. Maybe the mastering guy could open the project with the short track by linking it smoothly to what he will decide to be the first track and then close the project with the Dr. No version...
@ filmpac Coming back to whom to credit for the JB theme. This is what wikipedia says about it: Quote The "James Bond Theme" is a jazz instrumental tune, the main signature theme of the James Bond films. The song is featured in every one of the "official" films since Dr. No in one form or another. The piece is used in conjunction with the James Bond gun barrel sequence as the film's initial introduction in every series entry except the 2006 version of Casino Royale and Dr. No, the latter using it as the main title track instead. The "James Bond Theme" has been used as part of the actual opening credit sequence only twice, as part of the medley that opens Dr. No and then again in the opening credits of From Russia with Love. It has been used as the closing music for a number of films, most recently the 2006 version of Casino Royale. Monty Norman has been credited with writing the "James Bond Theme", and has received royalties since 1962. For Dr. No, the song was orchestrated by John Barry who would later go on to compose the soundtrack for eleven future Bond films. Courts have ruled twice that the theme was written by Monty Norman despite claims and testimony by Barry that he had actually written the theme. Norman has consequently won two libel actions against publishers for claiming that Barry wrote the theme, most recently against The Sunday Times in 2001. It is generally acknowledged that Barry came up with the arrangement used in Dr. No. Norman describes the distinctive rhythm in the first few bars of the "James Bond Theme" as "Dum di-di dum dum". He claims that it was inspired by the song "Good Sign Bad Sign" sung by Indian characters in A House for Mr Biswas, a musical he composed based on a novel by V.S. Naipaul set in the Indian community in Trinidad. In 2005, Norman released an album called Completing the Circle that features "Good Sign Bad Sign", the "James Bond Theme," and a similar sounding song titled "Dum Di-Di Dum Dum." For these songs Norman added lyrics that explains the origin and history of the "James Bond Theme". The distinctive guitar riff heard in the original recording of the theme was played by Vic Flick, who would later play guitar on the original recording of Ron Grainer's theme music from the 1967 television series The Prisoner. Unquote If you don't want to have the same "misadventure" as the Sunday Times, let's credit Monty Norman for it.
Anyone want "La Planete Sauvage," by Alain Goraguer? I just heard this for the first time the other day and can't stop listening to it.
Really enjoyable 70's jazz type stuff but with an obvious film score type feeling. Whoever thought a choir and an electric guitar could co-exist in the same track?
Here's a quickie, found on the wide open spaces of the web. It's a movie rip, so WARNING: comes with dialogue, mostly of the moaning and groaning variety. Thanks to the unknown ripper...
isbum- my copy actually came from my brother who I think may have the CD (though I could be wrong about that). I'm gonna email him and ask him to rip a copy at 320 so I can post a link. 192 is usually okay by me but I know the folks here prefer higher bitrates if possible. If he's got the actual disc, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to oblige. All I know is now I have to see the actual movie because I love the music and I'm just wondering how it fits the pictures, etc.
Next question:
Anyone got "Les Gants Blancs du Diable," by Karl-Heinz Schäfer? Supposedly it's a lot like Fantastic Planet, so I'm curious to hear it. I swear I saw it at some blog at one point but I'm totally blanking on which one.
@ quinlan - I sure would love to get my hands on a copy of that Monty Norman album "Completing The Circle", that you mentioned. Would anyone have that?
Also, while casting about for Vic Flick, I discovered that he was the guitarist for a band called Apollo 100, who had a hit with a lively Bach tune called Joy in 1972. The album can be downloaded at Grumpy Boss' Corner.
@ isbum - LMAO, grumpy one. You moonlighting on another blog now? To be honest, I gave it a pass and forgot all about it (seem to be doing a lot of that lately, sigh), only came back on the radar for me when I was looking for Vic Flick.
@ tony - Hey, look what I found! Please be advised this is the 30-track version, from Harkit Records, over an hour of music. Now superseded by a 35-track version, so for mine is good to share...
so it has been 20 years, 3 dvd releases and no soundtrack still. so i can think, it not going to happen. well rejoice, cause there still may be hope. will your help....
i emailed one of the composers, Paul Zaza and got his response:
I have had many many requests for this soundtrack. Unfortunately, there has never been one produced.
However, I am considering putting together the soundtrack myself to satisfy the requests that have come through over the years.
I'll contact you when this has been accomplished.
Thankyou again for your interest.
Paul J. Zaza
so if you want to help see this soundtrack/score come to light this holiday season, please email Paul and express how you too would like to hear this magic unreleased soundtrack ! be kind, say thanks and beg or offer money if you have to !
I thought it was fairly well established we do at least try to protect new releases here. By all means request them, but don't get in a huff if they don't turn up in a day or so.
I routinely fill requests months old, that I either didn't own, couldn't find, couldn't get a contact for, whatever.
The bottom line point should be bleedingly obvious, at least as far as I am concerned. I don't do new releases. Also, as I said to amadues (who not surprisingly disappeared off the radar), I am FAR more likely to fill a request for someone who contributes to the group. This does not mean that I will deliberately ignore non contributors, merely that I have a mental pecking order.
Mr. Remember - do with that what you will. But your perceived "angst" at the failure to fill your request will certainly get you nowhere, at least from me.
Cheeky fellow. Oblivious to how that was going to be interpreted.
On the subject of new releases, I am listening to that Michelini "Chopper Squad" again. I know you didn't think much of it when you dropped the link for me, but I am so digging it. Much appreciated!!
Also thanks for the link to Grumpy Boss. Wild blog, all over the place. Pat Boone followed by Kraftwerk. Raided the joint for some great musical memories.

What? You don't see the tree?

Thanks to all !

I agree with your comments on Rapidshare.

Hi all
Anyone have Georges Garvarentz's deliriously overblown score to "Triple Cross"? TIA!
@filmpac - Another fine Garvarentz score is always a welcome sight, thank you friend :)
BTW - I've been on this Ernest Gold obsession lately, and I'm missing one score(that I'm aware of)- "Good Luck, Miss Wyckoff".
Does anyone have this, they would like to share? --Pretty please :)
@ Manucosma!
Yes,Thanks, that would be cool and excellent,if you can upload these tracks, which you have.Because i don't have them ,but love these Comedies.
Thanks!

Holy Moley that was fast! Thanks so much!
- VQ

@ steve - Interesting that you called "Triple Cross" "deliriously overblown". I found it a turgid dud.
Every composer has one of these, Ennio, Lalo, Williams, even Piccione...and I didn't think it was possible from the terminally upbeat composer.
@ segroeg - Thanks for the nod.
@ isbum
Well, to be honest I was referring (by memory) to the main theme which is pretty ripe! I notice the score is conducted by Roland Shaw - did he conduct any other original scores or was he the amazing arranger we all know and love for most of his career?

Looking for Graeme Revell promo score to "Goal!", and I'm sure I saw it somewhere, but now I can't find it. Perhaps I dreamt it. Anyone?
Oh, I just remembered something else. Have we got a project this month? Something non-Christmassy, or at least Christmassy with a Franklynot twist? Not sure I can handle a CD of hark the herald angels singing, know what I mean?
@ filmpac - Twas' a thin line between flamin'tinselfairy and isbum you walked there mate.
It seems your tree has extra balls on it. ;)
Yes indeedy filmpac, a project is in the works. Q branch is working on it.
Oh man, I hadn't even meant it THAT way. Is just what we call 'em down under, fairy lights! I was going more for the Isbum being an angel thing... My bad (-:
So what's the project then?
@timmyjmctim
Glad I could help! Your comment made my day :)
@Isbum
Just yankin' your tinsel mate!
Re: The project. We won't be around in 3007. It's the "Year of Bond".
I think we should honor the old man.
Q branch has failed to make it operational. M is calling all
double 0 agents in on this one.
I recommend a solid 80 minuets of Bond instrumental score tracks.
However, if you other Agents have suggestions, I remain open to them.
@ isbum - I concur if this be different takes on Bond. A Franklynot covers project, yes?
@ jeffy - Not at all. I borrowed the "pepper" as a way of saying something that might otherwise read like I was angry. I enjoyed the flavor, but feared lesser talented jokers would wish to join the circus.
The day this blog reads like "Ain't It Cool News" is when I head-butt the monitor and die of electrocution.
With that said, I send the subject off to bed.
@ filmpac - you've beat me to Howard Blake's "The Snowman"... by weeks. I don't have many soundtrack disks, and had loved that short animation & song.
Just know that when you happen to see it on my blog, it'll be my own rip.
Someone last month asked for this, and our friend Reza had posted it.
Reza come in please, it's been a long time and isbum misses you.

Enjoy!
I love me some Bond music. I call my current compilation Bondage. And I'd recommend the Pfeiffer Bros version of the 007 theme from the Casino Royale trailers as a kick-ass entry in this new project that Isbum has yet to even actually define...
@ boynotorious
Bless Eric Serra's heart. His bold attempt to restart the franchise musically nearly sunk the whole film. That being said, I do find the Goldeneye soundtrack to be a really good listen as a thing unto itself. But, man, it really blows in the context of the film. Not quite as horrifying as Michel Legrand's abomination that is Never Say Never Again, but in the same ballpark...
@ timmyjmctim
OUCH. JUST STUFF THAT KNIFE IN THERE WHY DON'T YOU. Poor bastard. I will never get anyone to agree with me on this. Then again, I think Lyle Workman's SUPERBAD score is the best of this year. So what the heck do I know about anything.

Hello everyone :)
Well, i still have the same requests:
James Horner - Willow Complete Score 2cd
Basil Poledouris - Conan the Destroyer complete score (there's a fan-made edition) [note: i am not searching for Conan the Barbarian complete score, i already got it in 3 editions, incleds the 3cd version. There's a fan-made Conan the Destroyer complete score, this is what i'm searching.]
and any Harry Potter expanded/complete score not uploaded yet (with our without sfx)
+ Tremors complete score (not the promo already uploaded @nomwl1's ages ago)
@ Breton Girl

@Isbum
@ isbum
As soon as you make some room available for it, I'll post the November link list with 468 links i.e. 100 more links than the previous month.
@ segroeg
cheers for the soundz,

Elmer Bernstein's Collection

I guess there's nothing new in it for most of us, but what a great selection.
For those who don't know the great "Dusty Fingers" series, i have made a little selection, picking tracks with a cinematic, downtempo and easy mood:
18 tracks @192 (60')
http://rapidshare.com/files/73816046/DUSTY.rar
Enjoy!
@pinscher68
Here's all I have "The Car"
http://rapidshare.com/files/73814483/Car__The.rar
It's only 3 tracks and obviously a bootleg, but I hope it feels the need anyway.
I've also got Akira Ifukube's "Frankenstein Conquers the World"
http://rapidshare.com/files/73645570/Frankenstein_Conquers_The_World.rar.html
You know, that's the one where Frank grows 200 ft. tall and looks like a teenage Japanese caveman.
And Richie Manabe's "Godzilla Vs. The Smog Monster"
http://rapidshare.com/files/73810513/Godzilla_Vs._The_Smog_Monster.rar
Final vote then,
1. All tracks non original soundtracks.
2. All tracks from the original scores.
3. Entirely open to all Bond related music.
Do we include songs in the Project?
VOTE: Yes or No
thanks my friends
I vote for the 3rd choice, with songs includes in the project.
And then i'll be able to post something nice: a live version of Goldfinger by Blondie! :p
hi everyone.
to isbum and fellow bloggers.
i helped ennioman yesterday move in to his new appartment and everything went ok.it will take 1-2 weeks to get his internet sorted and online.
as soon as he is set up he will be back in action.

I look forward to his return.
Cheers again to you score for being a friend to him in these dark times.
@ h2o - Apart from a single 45 rpm release in Italy, this is the first full release of Giombini's score. It's a perky little spaghetti western score, I like it, hope you do too...

@ isbum - I'm happy with whatever everyone reckons, though I would hate to see covers (non original soundtracks) excluded.
@ segroeg - Familiar or not, I for one can never let a Bernstein go by. Cheers mate!
Re Bond
My vote would go for an all- original all-score, non-vocal comp. I'm sure between us we can come up with a truly definitive "Best of Bond" - definately no penny whistles!
Re Bond Project
My vote goes preferably to N° 2 "All tracks from the original scores", only instrumentals!
@boynotorious
From one writer to another:
Even God recognized what the producers don't seem to:
"In the beginning was the word."
Of course, God didn't have to depend on residules.
Everyone raise a glass of your most expensive booze and toast what almost was.
http://enigmasdaydream.blogspot.com/
is about to be no more.
Sob. Sob. Sniffle. Sob. Sob.
SIDE 1: 1-Main Theme 2-Piano Recital 3-Abnormal Conditions 4-Encouragement
5-Dr.
Would you mind if I add this one to my blog?
Thanks again!
@ All:

@ tony - I have one more Ernest Gold that hasn't been shared previously. "The Last Vikings", a National Geographic special. Interested?

Filmpac - Keep an eye out for "Corrida!" by Migliardi. It has a bullfighter on the Lp cover..not that anybody shows you the cover before they share something with you, but hey..you can tell them what to dig out of their record collections I suppose.

@ h2o - thanks for the other one.
Kudos to all who diagnosed my recent computer problem (off-on-restart, constant crashing) as the need for a new power supply.
Upgraded from 300 to 500watt. Had Firedog at Circuit City put it in (1 hour turnaround).
Working fantastic.
Wonder if they do prostates?
@filmpac -Great, will post it later today. I'm working on some frt and bk artwork.
Would love to have the Viking score as well! (greedy one that I am)
I'll probably do a cover to post it on my blog (if that's OK with all contributors) and if anyone else likes, it they are welcome to use it.
Sound OK to you :)

Thank you, guys!
@isbum
You sayd you have many VLADIMIR COSMA; do you have "MISTRAL'S DAUGHTER"(TV Series-1983-CDrip)?
Thank you, nice guy!
God bless you all!
@ quinlan - Do not list.
The May link no longer works:if someone may upload, once more,The Diary of Anne Frank by A. Newman, it will be great;I'm also looking for Arthur by H.Zimmer and Boys from Brazil.
@ filmpac - Someone might do better, but that break came in a really bad place.
Anyway, here's my stab at it..

Someone somewhere requested this, hope you are here and know who you are. A dark, moody electronic score with a bit of kick to it. WARNING: Contains dialogue, but in this case it seems to enhance. Hoping someone is after it...

@ thxjay - I was just over at The Crime Lounge, might make a nice companion piece to Gangster Number One, so feel free to post it there if you desire.
@ isbum - Awesome mate, nice job, that works for me! I'll get Thunder 3 up a bit later in the day.
Jolly jolly:)
@ Filmpac - OK. I was just posting that Thunder track, but the boss beat me to it.
What I'd add:
Chances are I might be able to do more with it if I had the rest of the score with which to cannibalise from.
Georges,
Regarding TBFB, here's a post I made at YDHTVTB earlier in the year:

@ 3410 - I was trying to remember who among us did the seamless fix on some problem track we had before.

Let go of my ego long ago.;)
Go for it!
Would anyone feel Christmas-y enough to upload a CD rip of Peggy Lee's CHRISTMAS CAROUSEL, or CHRISTMAS CAROUSEL, or CHRISTMAS WITH PEGGY LEE? Whichever you have would be great.
Thanks in advance!
@ Filmpac - Well, we'll see. ;)
Since Isbum has no objection, good fellow that he is, here's my rudimentary fix. I'll leave it up to you.

Thanks guys, i sure do appreciate this one.
hi friends,I wish to thanks all of you for helping me:you are very kind. Now,my new requests are:
The legend of Lone Ranger Barry
The Golden Seal Barry
Along came a spider Complete score Goldsmith
And,again and forever...many,many thanks!!!!!
I'm wondering if anyone might have the score to THE WITCHES by Stanley Myers. Hopefully, somewhere, someone has it.

Thanks for more nice albums to all guys, who uploaded on the last few days!
@ filmpac,

manucosma,
Thanks so much for le dinner de cons, I've been looking for that for a while now.
Regardless, thanks so much once again!

Welcome back scoredaddy!
@ scoredaddy,
YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!! Thank you.
Thanks my friends!
Hello
Here's my following request for :
Vangelis : Blade runner MR3 edition 4 cds.
Jerry Goldsmith : The don is dead.
The final conflict (dvdrip).
Spiral road (21 tracks).
Bruce Broughton : Young Sherlock Holmes (recording sessions 72 tracks 2 cds or 47 tracks 2 cds).
@ isbum - Yeah, again. You cannot know! Had you not thanked Filmpac for those Hadjidakis' scores I would have missed them entirely :-(
Therefore, many thanks to both of you.
@ GoblinScore - Tears? You should have seen the "Fying in the Air" matching images of the animated Snowman! I was going to add that I have a weakness for this type of voices, but realised that I also have a weakness for "a type of" eyes and smiles and curves and walk and laughter and... what not!_
OO7 IS BACK!
Give me your favorite soundtrack instrumentals and cover versions in the appropriate thread on the MAIN PAGE of this blog.
Let's see what you got my friends.
@ tony - Nice covers on Miss Wyckoff, thanks mate. Here's the last of my Golds, a National Geographic special...
Ernest Gold "The Last Vikings" (1972), @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/74115533/EG-TheLastVikings.zip
By any chance does anyone have:
15 Minutes (Anthony Marinelli & J. Peter Robinson) - Promo Score
I can't believe absolutely nobody has this thing? Seriously. Anyone?
P.S. The New Digs are looking might fine. Guests should be receiving housewarming invites pretty soon. B.Y.O.S. :)

"Pure Gold" year unknown Lp @320
by Andre Previn
http://rapidshare.com/files/74347059/AP_PureGold.zip
Great version of Mancini's Pink Panther Theme!
@filmpac - Sorry, but that music is just emotional to me, you know with the teariness, etc! :)
The way the suite flows into the song, and just recognizing the melody in that setting....bliss!
A complete KEEP is my holy grail as well, although one of our breathen came real close - not sure if the link is still around, but if there is interest I can rip and upload for all.
@di(aphanous-
I remember seeing that video (The Snowman) for rental for the longest time, but never got around to trying it. I guess being raised on dull Frosty by Rankin/Bass tainted my opinion (?). Nothing wrong with a weakness for that amazing boy soprano vocal though!!
@ di(aphanous,
I still don't really know where the break *should* go.
So, for whomever's interested:

Here it is fixed:

You should not detect the point of repair.
isbum, my friend, I listened carefully to your repaired version but, with no offense, I'm afraid you removed 7 seconds too many.
Cheers
@ filmpac
Once again, I'm afraid I goofed.

@ quinlan - Keep reading my friend, you still have another apology. ;)
And you're right, I got flustered and started knocking seconds off it because the horn sound came in so abruptly.
@ pinscher68 - With the Bond project, this month might be shaping up as Barrycember...

@ quinlan - Don't sweat the small stuff mate, it's a joy to me that you and so many others take the time and effort to help!
@ isbum
Yes you're right, I'm thru all the comments now and I guess I have to extend my apologies to di(aphanous also which I do very humbly.
Cheers bud.
@ quinlan - Do not list.
Here's my fifth post of the month, it sounds really refreshing to me, I like it:

Since you mentionned that you "discovered" Vladimir Cosma less than a year ago, here is a link to a CD rip of the scores he wrote for two movies which had quite a bit of success in France (one of them was subject to a remake with Gene Wilder).

Regarding the Franklynot International Salute to James Bond
OO7 - The Year of Bond 2 O O 7
Get your favorite tracks in early my friends! Otherwise one of Ernst Stavro Blofeld's agents may kidnap your selection and leave you calling in agents OO2 and OO3. ;)
Hmmm.... having a rethink here. Dr No was only one of two films that did NOT include the famous gunbarrel opening. So, the movie rip is really just a variation on the James Bond Theme itself. Yes?
Scratch that previous request then, sorry.
He's a serial killer.
Thats my excuse for dropping my unused link here in December.

@filmpac - Many, many thanks again for another GOLD score :) Good stuff indeed!
Glad you like the covers too :)

@isbum -
Three cheers for Dexter! Great score, and as was previously stated, the BEST TV has to offer as far as series go. Brilliant show!
@ filmpac
This time I hope I am not coming after the battle.

@ segroeg - Belated kudos on your Dusty Fingers Compilation. Lot's of groovy music in one sweet download!

2) Moved the two soundtracks the other way around, in a much more satisfactory sequence, because this CD was launched for the internal Greek market [To Klotsoskoúfi was a huge box-office success, while Aliki had been a relative flop — despite having the added ", My Love" for its international release]:
"Aliki" - tracks 22-33 moved up as the first score, followed by a two-second silent track, and then comes "To Klotsoskoúfi" soundtrack (originally numbered as tracks 01-21).
Oh,... some funny little coincidence:
A person very close to me had started his career in the film industry, exactly between those two films at their production company, submitting to the Big Boss a recommendation note written by that very same Aliki!!!

Thank you for your well appreciated comments relating to James Bond Theme.
@quinlan-
Fantastic, thanks so much for the Cosma hookup. Didn't even know that the Gene Wilder version was a remake, let alone that Cosma scored the original.
Without a doubt, the guy is fantastic.
Thanks again!
@ filmpac
Coming back to whom to credit for the JB theme.
This is what wikipedia says about it:
Quote
The "James Bond Theme" is a jazz instrumental tune, the main signature theme of the James Bond films.
Unquote
If you don't want to have the same "misadventure" as the Sunday Times, let's credit Monty Norman for it.
I have it at 192kbps if anyone's interested.
@ robot gunfighter - I think I may have gotten the same Planet as you did. Perhaps we should see if someone here can upgrade us to 320?
Please:)
Joyful Film Music update: Looks like it will be arriving this Sunday!
Here's a quickie, found on the wide open spaces of the web. It's a movie rip, so WARNING: comes with dialogue, mostly of the moaning and groaning variety. Thanks to the unknown ripper...

I posted this request toward the end of last month, but thought I'd re-post it since the music is only very recently available:
"Neighbors" (used and rejected) - Bill Conti/ Tom Scott
I'm also interested in any of Alexandre Desplat's 2007 output, as well as "Angel" by Philippe Rombi.
@ dylan - You should post an email address in our Directory.
Newer items can be shared privately this way. Good luck buddy!
isbum- my copy actually came from my brother who I think may have the CD (though I could be wrong about that).
Anyone heard this score? Any good?
@ pinscher68 - Barry #2 for you, it's a vinyl rip, thanks go to the original unknown ripper...

Now there's some joy to EnJOY!
@ filmpac - The original grumpy boss posted Apollo 100 here just recently.

enJOY! ;)
@ isbum - LMAO, grumpy one. You moonlighting on another blog now? To be honest, I gave it a pass and forgot all about it (seem to be doing a lot of that lately, sigh), only came back on the radar for me when I was looking for Vic Flick.
Cheers mate:))
@ filmpac - Our moon's can be seen all over blogland. ;)
@ tony - Hey, look what I found! Please be advised this is the 30-track version, from Harkit Records, over an hour of music. Now superseded by a 35-track version, so for mine is good to share...

So, what's the secret? Do you have to trade scores to get noticed here? I'm attempting once more to see if one of my requests can be found.
AWAKE by Samuel Sim.
mr. remember - Is it a new release?
Of course it is. I just saw the movie last weekend. :)

*update*
so it has been 20 years, 3 dvd releases and no soundtrack still. so i can think, it not going to happen.
well rejoice, cause there still may be hope.
will your help....
i emailed one of the composers,
Paul Zaza and got his response:
I have had many many requests for this soundtrack. Unfortunately, there has never been one produced.
However, I am considering putting together the soundtrack myself to satisfy the requests that have come through over the years.
I'll contact you when this has been accomplished.
Thankyou again for your interest.
Paul J. Zaza
so if you want to help see this soundtrack/score come to light this holiday season, please email Paul and express how you too would like to hear this magic unreleased soundtrack ! be kind, say thanks and beg or offer money if you have to !

Most recently I have come across:
AVP 2 - Brian Tyler
Water Horse - James Newton Howard
P.S. I Love You - John Powell (Promo)
August Rush - Mark Mancina
Those do exist. Just not here. :)
I suggest you try to get into Soundtrack Lovers Paradise Members Only Club.
@ isbum
What kind of advise is that? Have you been there lately? Does anyone know what happened? It seems to have just died.
@ boynotorious - You're right.
@ mr. remember - Drop boynotorious an email, his blog will be opening this week.
Well, that seems to have settled that.
