Hello to all. I hope each of you had a great holiday. I am looking for FSM's "Shaft" box and "Blazing Saddles". I would be most grateful if someone out there would e-mail me links to either of these requests.
To those that are asking for Horse Seats on Fire (think about it)
I have just ordered this and the other limited cd from some hahappy records site... if I get them, before someone else posts, there might be a SNS soon
Take in mind, I am in the UK, and the happy record co. is in the US.... :) If someone beats me, they beat me, I will not mind
The Music Of John Barry (Maybe not much new, but then again there are always newcomers who can enjoy, incidentally this is 2008 dated CD, even though the pieces are not:)
Would anyone know anything about either THE UNUSED SCORES OF ELMER BERNSTEIN: GANGS OF NEW YORK (part of a set) or INNOCENT BLOOD (COMPLETE) by IRA NEWBORN?
Are these promos? Or boots? Never knew they existed until a moment ago.
The Bernstein rejected score you mention is part of a recent release by V@rese, comprising three rejected scores. Got a feeling someone will be able to help more.
Thanks for that Quantum End Title. Brilliant! I'm working on the film versions of Casino Royale and The World is Not Enough (in case no-one has them). Very different mixes.
Glad my Silent Flute worked out ok. Cheers for the comments.
@all - I am looking for an RCA album that came out in the early 1980s titled FILM CLASSICS (RCA XRL1-4020).
It contained several classical pieces featured in movies: 1. Pachelbel's Canon in D (7:09) from ORDINARY PEOPLE 2. Mendelssohn's Symphony No.4, 4th mvt. (Italian) (5:45)from BREAKING AWAY 3. Barber's Adagio for Strings (7:39) from THE ELEPHANT MAN 4. Corigiliano's Second Hallucination (5:14) from ALTERED STATES 5. Rossini'a William Tell Overture (3:00) from THE LEGEND OF THE LONE RANGER 6. Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana:Intermezzo (3:28) from RAGING BULL 7. Prokofiev's Concerto No.3 (1st. mvt) (9:11) from THE COMPETITION 8. Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries (4:50) from APOCALYPSE, NOW
I am really only interested in Pachelbel's Canon but it must be this version.
I see Jim has uploaded to the Art Dept. hi-res scans of Michael Kamen's guitar concerto.
Any chance for a 320 or perhaps even better a lossless rip of the first three tracks? It's one of my favorites from Kamen, but I've only heard it in a fairly lo-quality rip someone shared online a year or so ago. And since it's out of print
01 - Theme From Checkmate 02 - The Isolated Pawn 03 - Cyanide Touch 04 - Far Out Place 05 - Hassle In The Castle 06 - En Passant 07 - The Black Knight 08 - Fireside Eyes 09 - The Bishop's Retreat 10 - Queen's Sacrifice 11 - Shy Youth 12 - The King Swings
as usual, not my rip/link, thx to the original uploader!!
@ Gunshotwound: Hi, I have the version of Pachelbel's that played at the end credits of "Ordinary People" by Paillard Chamber Orchestra. It's at 320, 7:11.

@ Quinlan: Please do not post. Thanks for all your hard work.
Ho! Ho! Hellishly good horror movie score here! Most new horror scores sound like someone passed out on a keyboard. Yay! Musicians! Yay! Melodie! Yay! Orchestrations that allow you to hear every instrument played!

In return, may I make a request? Does anyone have the 2005 "David Holmes Soundtrack Music Promo"? More info at http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/catalog/soundtrackdetail.php?movieid=82531. Thank you in advance. -- LMG
@LMG - Thank you so much for the Pachelbel. This version is so beautiful it breaks your heart (if beauty can truely do that).
Please indulge an old man's memories for a moment and let me tell my introduction to this piece of music.
In the late 1970s I became a subscriber to HBO and it seemed every day at 6pm they aired a short film titled IN THE REHEARSAL ROOM. It was a very simple little film about a ballerina rehearsing to Pachelbel's Canon. I had never heard the music before and was instantly hooked. The film had no credits (that I remember) so it became my mission to find out what it was. For about a week I intended to record the music from the TV (with my trusty small tape recorder) but kept forgetting. Finally one day I was all set and ready to record and sure enough again at 6pm it came on so I recorded it. Having no friends or relatives who knew anything about classical music I took the tape to my local public library branch to see if anyone could ID it for me. Luckily the branch had a large collection of classical LPs you could check out so I figured someone ought to know something about classical music because I doubted they picked the collection at random. I asked the attendant at the check-out desk if there was anyone who knew anything about classical music and he told me to see the head librarian. We met and I told him my dilemma and played the tape for him and he IDed the composition within the first 5 seconds of listening to it. Needless to say I was overjoyed. What was so strange was that the short film used the Paillard chamber orchestra version and it is still the only version I like to this day.
@Gunshotwound: I understand perfectly -- I d/l a lot of mp3s before I finally found the exact version from "Ordinary People". BTW, was that ST ever released? Be great if someone posted it ...
If you'll forgive an old lady's ramblings, PBS aired "The Immortal Beethoven" hosted by Peter Ustinov in the 80s. I had been searching for a copy of that show ever since and earlier this year, found it on YouTube, of all places. (Since most pieces were performed live, no recordings I bought matched the show.) Converted it all to mp3s and have been a happy camper ever since ...
Anyway, I'm happy to know that you love this version as much as I. -- LMG
Sorry , Forget to selected Email follow-Up. :))))))
By The way I put this one: complete Promro Score not for Sale , of James Horner "A far Of Place " Not really easy to find. it's a gift from one of my friends. @320
@LMG - I also had found the same one downloading mp3's but the bit rate was a pathetic 56kbs and I wanted a better rate.
I don't think ORDINARY PEOPLE ever had a soundtrack release. But you can find the same version on the RCA LP I mentioned in my previous post. I have a copy but no ripping capabilities.
Isn't it wonderful to finally find something you have looked for for so long?
Born on August 4, 1912 in Philadelphia, Pa, Raksin grew up in a musical household. His father was a music shop owner who also composed for and conducted music for silent films.
Growing up Raksin studied piano and was taught how to play wind instruments by his father, who had played with the Philadelphia Orchestra as a clarinetist. At age 12, Raksin had his own dance band and while he high school he taught himself composition. He worked himself through the University of Pennsylvania by playing a number of radio orchestras.
Following graduation, he moved to New York City, where he worked in radio and on Broadway and arranged music for various record companies.
In 1935 Raksin headed to Hollywood to work Charlie Chaplin on his film Modern Times. Although Chaplin had ideas for the music that he wanted in the film, he lacked the training to write them down. Raksin was hired to transcribe and expand upon Chaplin's themes. He would receive a co-arranger credit for the movie.
Raksin's received his break when he was offered the opportunity to score director Otto Preminger's 1944 film Laura. Studio scuttlebutt said that the film had had a troubled production and Alfred Newman and Bernard Hermann had already passed on working on the project. For the film Raksin wrote a haunting melody which plays repeatedly on the film's soundtrack to emphasize the lingering impact a murdered woman (Gene Tierney) has had on those whose lives intersected with hers. The melody from Laura will linger with us forever as will the memory of its composer.

This is not my rip or collection; thanks to the original uploader / ripper. These are my links. I thought I would post this so you would all enjoy it as much as I have.
WOW! Thank you Prospero for bringing this to light. Since the Indy Box came out I've been wondering when someone would make a complete score for "Skull". Bravo to the original uploader - this is too cool for words!
Hey everybody this is gunshotwound. As you might notice my display name has changed but my display photo is still the same.
Being the sometimes impulsive person that I am I felt like a change so I deleted my Google account and created another one and shortened my name.
Plus it makes it easier for you guys to address my specifically, which might come in handy when you guys let me know how happy you are that you have to remember a new name association. :);)
Trust me, it's the same ole house, just a new coat of paint. :)
I could offer links to Canicule, Emmanuelle 2, The legend of Frenchie King, Mayerling, Rider on the Rain, Love Story, but not the other ones you requested, sorry. So here is just:

has anybody heart anything about a score to 'shall we dance'? Could be Altman and Yared? I searched around and didn't find anything besides the soundtrack.... (Call it promiscuous, call it being able of multi-tasking: I don't only like sean Connery, I like Richard Gere as well ;-D and he danced better than I would have thought!)
I'm not sure if a soundtrack for this movie exists but I thought that if anyone would know (and be able to share it), it would be the music experts here. :) TYA

Having recently rekindled my affair with a certain beloved 80's television show with Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd, I wonder if anyone might be able to help find the soundtrack to the ABC series, MOONLIGHTING? (Songs by Al Jarreau, Bruce Willis, others.) :)
@ filmpac -- Sorry, I just noticed your question about the ONS booklet. My scanner's for crap but I can try. Sometimes she works, sometimes she doesn't. Either way, enjoy the tunes!
@ prospero -- Thanks a mill for the CRYSTAL. Halfway through it.. Sounds pretty great so far! :)
Oh, and in connection with the MOONLIGHTING thing... Bruce Willis recorded two albums for Motown Records in the 80's; "The Return of Bruno" and "If It Don't Kill You, It Just Makes You Stronger." Both good in their own way...
But... Bruce also tours the world with his regular bluesy band, THE ACCELERATORS. He performs at many charity functions and as premieres for some of his films, I believe. I actually saw him play live in Boston in 2002 (playing with Ivan Neville) and the show rocked.
Would anyone have any recordings of his work as BRUCE AND THE ACCELERATORS? They usually play blues and classic rock material.
I never hear of any recordings floating around... but you never know. :)
@Big Rozsa - here are some of the front/back covers you requested-Alexander Nevsky; Plymouth Adventure; Valley of the Kings/Men of Our Fighting Lady; and small front cover only of Brother Sun, Sister Moon) Covers Hope they are what you want.

@--mcc - I haven't found any other recordings of Bruce Willis & The Accelerators. But here are two tracks from B.Willis' Universal Masters Collection, which are not included neither "Bruno" nor "If It Don't Kill You".
1. Love Makes the World Go Round 2. I'll Go Crazy.
Plus "Good Lovin" performed by Bruce from "Moonlighting" soundtrack (1984).
Btw, you mentioned Ivan Neville. Have you heard his band Dumpstaphunk? They make killer funk. New Orleans' the best :) If not, I have some their records for you.
As an SNS request, since it's very much in print, I'd like to know if anyone has a @320 rip of Dario Marianelli's lovely score to Pride and Prejudice. Thanks.
@ Ruggo, well when I post this essential, my first trought goes to you, because I know your a lover of The Prague Philarmonic. Iv'e listen all and beleive me they are wonderful? Specially the western realy great.
I t's very interresting to hear some other interpretation from the great composer by some others Orchestration. My Last One it's the Essentail Hans zimmer, And like the other one it's an incredible sound and music.
Well I think I'm going to sleep I din't see my keybord enymore.
@ grammfrance -- Thanks for the tracks for Rosza/THE KILLERS, there. Also very much looking forward to The Master Cylinder's re-up of THE KILLERS. :)
@ isbum -- Happy to help out with the Bruce (Bruno) detour. I also have a couple of Don Johnson albums and Macho man Randy Savage's hip hop album (!!) if anyone'd care to hear!
@ dimich -- Don't need the two full Bruce albums, but thanks! Already have them, and sorie already posted links. I'm looking forward to those Masters Collection bonus tracks very much though! Didn't know about them... Thanks again! And might as well hold off on the Neville stuff, unless someone else would like to hear. :)
@ everyone -- Might I request ELMER BERNSTEIN'S UNUSED "GANGS OF NEW YORK" score as an SPS? Is that ethical?
@ Javier - Just comeback from walking. Sorry The Escape to Athena where removed by Rapishare not by me, I re-rip them and upload them back ,they will be there in 20 minutes.
@filmpac - Muchos gracias for Largo! Btw, if you haven't heard it yet, check up Desplat's score for 2004 French crime comedy "L'Enquête Corse" aka "The Corsican File".
@Jean - Thanks in advance for Lalo's "Escape". I'll be second after Javier for it.
Here are Escape to... I don't know Why But the uploap are not eccepted by rapidshare anymore even if I change the names or removing tracks names. Here a new rip with megauopload . Make it quickly i don't know when they will be removed?
@ Isbum - I think too , but it's strange it's the only one link, who are deleted by rapishare, and it's also the only one with 498 download, I test the others ones. And it's O.K. I upload some three others soundtracks right now with no problem and one from Lalo. I will keep an eye on that.
LE CERCLE NOIR - music from the films of Jean-Pierre Melville LA PISCINE - Michel Legrand PORTRAIT MUSICAL - music from the films of Alain Resnais SYNECDOCHE NEW YORK - Jon Brion
@ Isbum - Yes your surlely right, I test all my links, and all are still active, and this was the only one with so much download, I'm never going up 100 even with franklynot, Maybe this link are someware on another place or many place? But now they are closed, for everybody. It was a old link and I use them before, month ago at franlkynot. But never mind I just hope people are happy to get them back on megaupload.
Regarding ESCAPE TO ATHENA, the new upload via Megaupload is problematic too. It is listed by Megaupload as a 27.69 MB file which seems a bit on the small side to me. I don't have a great deal of interest in this score, but I downloaded it and imported it into iTunes which states each track is at 320. That's can't be true given the small file size.
And listening to the tracks confirms there is something wrong - it just doesn't sound right. There used to be a couple of rips of this floating around and they sounded better than this. I wonder if the file is corrupt?
@Simon31 - Yes I'm sure this file is corrupted, why only this one? The unzipped file ad 106 MB and zipped 98MB and now 27.69 MB, I don't take any atention when I uopload them, It must be something with these title I don't see another reason. I download my own zip and the music doesn't sound right. Of course it's an LP rip and sometime it's a small click, but not like this download. Well I will not investigate more about one soundtrack, for me it's closed.
Just a last words, A few weeks earlier FSM writte to all her customers to send her any soundtracks, film music even only tracks musics etc... is there a link with some ???
Hello All,I'm new to this, but the community is great. Two things: 1)I've got Hans Werner Henze's Swann in Love OST but don't know how best to share: any advice? 2) I'm looking for Sondheim/Grusin score to Reds (1981): does anyone have access to it? Cheers

Total playing time: 71.10 @320 + covers Covers also in the Artwork Department.
A couple of old bits of vinyl. The first is a musical, one of the strangest musicals of all time, set in WWI. Lovingly restored by friend Filmmusicman...
@ john james - Thx for the Wartime Memories, I guarantee at least one download. Lovers of classic British film music should jump at this. Think I was remiss and didn't grab the Aussie scores, or was I even more remiss and not ask for them? Losing the marbles is Filmpacman (:
@ score-bro - Happy holiday, and welcome back! True, you need to be logged in, no anonymous comments allowed bud.
@ bossellis - The same program you use to unzip something you download here, can also be used to create an archive file. Zip up what you want to share, then go to one of the file hosting sites you see used by other folk here. Upload your file. When done, tell us the link you will receive. Eezy peezy. Oh, if you use Rapidshare, then PLEASE create a collector's account after the upload completes. Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the Walton Henry V, a beautiful version. Unfortunately track 10 - the Epilogue - and my favourite track skips badly throughout - is their a tiny chance you can clean this up somehow and repost? Its such a lovely piece.
@ Steve - Sorry but it's coming from my CD, I check it right now, it's a second hand , I understand why !!!! My friend have also the chandos collection I will ask him on the phone if he can upload the track 10 for you.
I uploaded these to RS a while back, but I figure it won't hurt to give them some exposure. These are pretty standard scores, but someone might not yet have them:

I was just doing some random browsing and came up with this...
I noticed that there is a score to the movie, "The Crush" by Graeme Revell, and was wondering if anyone would happen to have it, or at least know anything about it...

Merry Christmas Friends!
@ grammfrance - Largo was shared last weekend as a Saturday Night Special, so don't be surprised if it doesn't receive a whole lot of traffic. Given its newness, I suspect Isbum will want to see it gone fairly quickly. Is this your own rip? You own the CD and a scanner? If so, the Artwork Department would love a set of scans.
@ score-bro - The Crush never got an official release, but I've got a wee unofficial bootleg. 7 tracks only, and 6 of them are songs. Interested?
@ georges - Don't think any of your requests were ever released. Takemitsus maybe, but I've NEVER once seen anything on the others.
@ big rozsa - Your artwork requests might get more attention at the Artwork Department ;)
@ bram janssen - MIGHTY thanks for a MIGHTY Kong share, and artwork too, legend :))
@ filmpac - Regarding this: @ score-bro - The Crush never got an official release, but I've got a wee unofficial bootleg. 7 tracks only, and 6 of them are songs. Interested?
I thought THE MASTER CYLINDER grabbed those tracks and added them to a version of "The Crush" he was putting together?
I could be imagining this, but I seem to recall you being helpful to TMC more than once.
@ isbum - You may be right, I had a feeling I'd trotted The Crush out before, but I couldn't find it in my links list. If TMC completed that project, I missed it.
If that is the case, I will settle for the unofficial bootleg.
By the way, would you happen to have a CD for the international soundtrack to "The Jungle Book," which includes the single, "Two Different Worlds," performed by Kenny Loggins?
@Isbum:
Was your latest comment regarding me or Pac-Man (AKA: Filmpac)?
Hi, here's a bit of demented musical parody: "Silence! Silence of the Lambs: The Musical". Quite lewd, but very funny. Check out the links within the text file; the composers are making another musical based on the TV series "24".
Your welcome Steve, I hope with the others ones, you will get no problem, it's coming from the same shop.
William Walton Hamlet Two parts.

It's only a private project because sometime I don't want to listen a complete soundtrack from one film and I make this one. It's was just to make something about the dissapears actors. Feel free to use them as you like it and as you wich, as I told is a private project, I share this one for some who fund some interest to have this too. Any Way, It's was pleasent to make it, and I will continued. Just and advise since our friend ruggo make a wonderfull collection about his "Over The Titles" There are no main Title in the "Actor and Music"
Thank you for the additional compilations. By the time we're done, we'll have the best of everything by the best of everyone for the best of the best (the members of this blog).

Does anybody has the sdtk for Piccioni's Chronicle of a Death Foretold? TIA

@all - I am looking for an RCA album that came out in the early 1980s titled FILM CLASSICS (RCA XRL1-4020).
It contained several classical pieces featured in movies:
1. Pachelbel's Canon in D (7:09) from ORDINARY PEOPLE
2. Mendelssohn's Symphony No.4, 4th mvt. (Italian) (5:45)from BREAKING AWAY
3. Barber's Adagio for Strings (7:39) from THE ELEPHANT MAN
4. Corigiliano's Second Hallucination (5:14) from ALTERED STATES
5. Rossini'a William Tell Overture (3:00) from THE LEGEND OF THE LONE RANGER
6. Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana:Intermezzo (3:28) from RAGING BULL
7. Prokofiev's Concerto No.3 (1st. mvt) (9:11) from THE COMPETITION
8. Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries (4:50) from APOCALYPSE, NOW
I am really only interested in Pachelbel's Canon but it must be this version.
Any help would be appreciated.
Looks like December is off to a running start. Holiday Greetings to all here!

Just wanted to share this.

A very nice and complete Score. ;)

I love it when a film score dream is finally realized:

Thanks to --mcc!! The Figgis' score is fantastic!
By the way, What happens to Michael Convertino? I miss her less refined style.
DAVID RAKSIN (1912-2004)

Being the sometimes impulsive person that I am I felt like a change so I deleted my Google account and created another one and shortened my name.

@all
has anybody heart anything about a score to 'shall we dance'?
Could be Altman and Yared?
I searched around and didn't find anything besides the soundtrack....
(Call it promiscuous, call it being able of multi-tasking: I don't only like sean Connery, I like Richard Gere as well ;-D and he danced better than I would have thought!)
best wishes
and good night

Thanks your reply but you sure this is Cd version i mean its sound like lp
I'm not sure if a soundtrack for this movie exists but I thought that if anyone would know (and be able to share it), it would be the music experts here. :) TYA

EnJoY!
@ filmpac --
Sorry, I just noticed your question about the ONS booklet. My scanner's for crap but I can try. Sometimes she works, sometimes she doesn't. Either way, enjoy the tunes!
@ prospero --
Thanks a mill for the CRYSTAL. Halfway through it.. Sounds pretty great so far! :)
@Amadues
I wouldn't know, sorry.
If you think so, maybe you're right.
Just googled, maybe this one sounds different:

Yippeekiyay! ;)

Soundtrack Collector says "no soundtrack" but I'd like it to be proven an error. Sounds like it would be very interesting.
Who knew that Bruce (Bruno) Willis would make a big appearance at Franklynot? Great detour you guys!

Hello, everyone.
I left a comment here, yesterday, but apparently it did not come through...
I guess it is because I was signed off for some reason, so I signed back in and all...
Anyway, I was unable to alert everyone at the time that I was on vacation for the last two weeks; however, I have returned.
Anyway, I am glad to be back with the crew, here, and I shall take it that everyone had a splendid Thanksgiving holiday.
Well, I must leave, but will return soon.

I wonder if anyone has either or both of the following:
The 'complete' (around 50 tracks) FACE OFF (John Powell) at a decent bitrate, preferably 320.
Also, the 48HRS/ANOTHER 48HRS bootleg (James Horner) at a higher bitrate than the 192 which I always see floating around!
Thank you in advance.
Thanks Bram Janssen for Rhino's King Kong - what a great treat! (and for the cover scans also)
@ grammfrance - Largo was shared last weekend as a Saturday Night Special, so don't be surprised if it doesn't receive a whole lot of traffic.
@ Steve & Others. Here are the track 10 from my friend Jim, Sorry for the trouble.

@ filmpac - Regarding this:
@ score-bro - The Crush never got an official release, but I've got a wee unofficial bootleg. 7 tracks only, and 6 of them are songs.
@Pac-man:
If that is the case, I will settle for the unofficial bootleg.
By the way, would you happen to have a CD for the international soundtrack to "The Jungle Book," which includes the single, "Two Different Worlds," performed by Kenny Loggins?
@Isbum:
Was your latest comment regarding me or Pac-Man (AKA: Filmpac)?
-Score-Brother
Score-Brother - It was addressed to Filmpac who was addressing Score-Brother.
Clear as mud now, isn't it! LOL!!
Several requests here.
If you own the Cd's, I'd love a good 320 on these, please.

Sorry. I did not know. No, I do not rip and I do not have the CD. I would love to have the covers. Thank you very much
Hi, here's a bit of demented musical parody: "Silence! Silence of the Lambs: The Musical". Quite lewd, but very funny. Check out the links within the text file; the composers are making another musical based on the TV series "24".

@ All - Here are one of a begining collection of myself, it was a long time project, "Actor and Music" I also make a link for the covers.
Thanks
