Anyone have "Double, Double, Toil and Trouble" by Richard Bellis?

Bigbro411 said...

@boogiepop

I searched and found the bootleg for "Carrie". Thanks for telling me about it. Too bad a proper promo does not exsist...

--mcc said...

Just watching David Fincher's Zodiac and loving the score by David Shire... and now jonesing for more.

Would anyone have a line of All The President's Men or farewell, My Lovely?

On another note, I remember The Master Cylinder said some time ago he'd be taking a break from the web for a while. Has he announced when he might be coming back yet? When I look for his site it still says "open to invited readers only," which I assume is part of the closing because I was able to get in before... Here's hoping The Master's doing okay.

The original score to Tiomkin's "Duel In The Sun", from a CDR of unknown origin. Good sound from the 1946 movie. The vocals by Larry Douglas and Martha Tilton are also included. At 320 w/Front & Back artwork @350 dpi.

@ wild, isbum already re-uploaded Franco de Gemini here...

Regarding Stefano Mainetti, i also have a couple requests but they never have published:
-Il Deserto di Fuoco (1997, TV score)
Some cuts from the RIP: 1 & 2
-Vendetta II: The New Mafia /Donna d'onore 2/1993
(First part of TV was score of Riz Ortolani, which also never released)...

Southview212 said...

Here's another Tiomkin score. This is the old Soundstage release with 31 tracks of Original score plus unused material, from the 1956 movie "Giant" (Yellow Rose of Texas is not included). @320 w/front & back artwork.

If this has been previously sent, my apologies

Ghoulies said...

Hello again,

So does someone here owns soundtracks/DVD audio rips from Ghoulies I and III, Critters III, Street Trash and Amityville 4 and 5, please ?

I recall, as I did yesterday here in the previous page, that these are my own DVD Audio Rips. But I lost them so that's the reason why I'd like to get them back.

Thanks in advance to anyone who might upload them for me !

GilinAZ said...

Thanks, Southview. That must be the same CDR I saw advertised on the web. I'm just wondering if it was a 10" or 12" LP? Seems the score would have a LOT more than just those few tracks. I have several downloads from something called "The Western Film World Of Dimitri Tiomkin", which contains a few tracks from "Duel In The Sun"...but am glad to get this more complete version.

I've asked in the Planetarium without success, so let's try here. Does anyone have either of the bootleg scores to the film 'Highlander', score by Michael Kamen & Queen? The two editions I'm aware of are:

- the 21-track Immortal Records version (1986), and
- the 2-CD, 59-track Warner/Chappell Music edition.

Would much appreciate links to either/both of these scores. Queen, apart from being a band of my youth, has worked well in both the Highlander and Flash Gordon films. I've got both the standard and extended Flash Gordon scores, and would love to get Highlander into my collection.

OTOH, if anyone else out there is seeking the score, I have about a dozen tracks from the Immortal Records versions I'd be happy to share with other lovers of big, slightly cheesy scores ;)

@Scoredaddy, Thx so much for being so understanding.

@Sorei, I took the Time Machine too. Thanks!

@Boogiepop, aww, how sweet of you! Thanks.

Anyone has Taken by Nathaniel Mechaly (2008)? Maybe for SNS? Thx in advance! Btw, that movie was pretty awesome. =)

@ Quinlan, THXjay & Jean - Three of my dearest friends have now provided the 007 scores in kind.
Without intent to diminish these offerings, and because Jean's are limited, I'd like to remind everyone that these are available at THXjay's Crime Lounge here:

http://thecrimelounge5.blogspot.com/

THXjay has, with great effort, designed some fantastic new covers for these! The original covers can easily be found in The Artwork Department.

Quinlan, as those of you here from the beginning know, ripped the original Lp issues for us to the delight of us who treasure the memories of playing the vinyl in our younger years.

Mychael Danna "Where The Truth Lies" (2005), @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/190448579/MD-WhereTheTruthLies.zip

@ scoredaddy - I recall that most of the titles looked pretty good, and missing from the Arthouse. I'm not proud, I'll take whatever you care to throw the way of the Artwork Department. Score related titles only please. If you could create a separate zip file for each title, that would be super, but if you just want to chuck them all into one big-ass file that's fine too. Whichever is easiest for you mate. Absolutely no rush, many many thanks if you can help.

Request:

Request #1:
Riddim1903 has very kindly posted massive booklet scans to Jeff Wayne's epic version of War Of The Worlds. Which got me thinking. The live musical version has been released to DVD, would anyone have a rip of the music from this? I'd be thrilled if someone can do.

Request #2:
My request for a SNS would be Richard Band's Parasite, @320 please?

Ms Boricua said...

@Isbum, lmao at the youtube vid and at the dog going all crazy. Thx in advance for taken! =)

@Gil, lol. First time that something like that happened to me and of course I was using IE.

I third the request for Charles Fox's ballet score to Zorro. I spend like an hr looking for it and found nothing, not even a place to buy it. Well, I did find an article from 2003 saying that it was a promo.

Ms Boricua said...

@Filmpac, dunno if you want it, but I have this (http://www.tower.com/war-worlds-jeff-wayne-cd/wapi/106948908) @128kbps tho. :/

filmpac said...

@ ms boricua - Crikey, that's a whole lotta WOTW. 7 discs! I'm almost tempted, but the 128 bitrate puts me off a little. I of course have the original album, am looking specifically for the new live musical version. Which as far as I know hasn't had a CD release, only on DVD. But thanks for the thought.

Ms Boricua said...

@Filmpac, I have the dvd and I could rip the audio, but I have no idea how to cut it, fix it, or whatever it is that you guys do to the scores ripped from dvds.

filmpac said...

@ ms boricua - Beats the heck outta me also, I'm always in awe of how good they turn out. But here's what I do know, can you check if there are isolated score tracks on the DVD? Think you need to load it up on your computer, and check the folders. If so, I believe it's fairly easy. If not, it gets a whole lot trickier. Hopefully one of the DVD rippers can advise.

I'm real keen to get a hold of this, so any help would just be awesome.

Ms Boricua said...

@Filmpac, can you email me?
My e-mail is PRicanBabe@gmail.com

filmpac said...

Ms Boricua said...

LMAO! Well, I didn't want to post a link to a torrent site w/o Isbums permission. I was gonna email it to you, but I checked your profile and I didn't find your e-mail, that's why I asked if you could e-mail me.

I've been shot down before, is all good! :P

I thought I found what you was looking for, but no, it's the cast cd (released in 1985) in flac.

I didn't find any isolated score, so I'm going to rip the audio in a few. =)

@Gil, I love FF! but it had crashed and was updating or something, so I was using IE to check my e-mail and came here to reply to some comments. Never again.

I think I have ADD and I'm addicted to the 'net, not a good combo. lol

Hi all,

May I make a request for an SNS of the 'ole 2 Disc Jack Burton's Pork Chop Express?

I think there have been a couple of others wanting it too around here :-)

Sorry if it has been previously up...and down. Have been without access to PC for while.

Ms Boricua said...

@Filmpac, if this rip sucks, I'll find a better guide on how to rip the audio and re-do it on Sunday or Monday.

I have a pretty busy day tomorrow with the UFC 94 fight (which I'll be hosting in my house). GSP vs BJ Penn, gosh I hope BJ Penn knocks GSP out, but good, so he can go home and stay there. :P If you can't tell I hate him! And my boy Nate Diaz is fighting too! Ok, I'm way too excited, back to movie scores...

So I probably won't be here for SNS, but luckily Isbum will leave the links till Sunday, pretty please, with sugar on top? :P

Info:
Music has always played a central part in the art of film director Werner Herzog. It is never an 'add-on' but always an integral part of any creation, whether feature-film or documentary. In 2004 Werner Herzog came to Munich to see Stefan Winter because he wanted to find some very personal music for the documentaries »The Wild Blue Yonder« and »The White Diamond«. Stefan Winter played the music of »Colla Parte«, »Colla Voche«, »Janna« and other sounds performed by the artist Ernst Reijseger. Werner Herzog found what he was looking for: "I want to use imagery and sound in a way you have never before experienced." This musical vision led to extraordinary recording sessions in Paris, Ludwigsburg and Munich. Werner Herzog was joined by Dutch cellist Ernst Reijseger, Senegalese singer Mola Sylla, and the Voches de Sardinna called Tenore e Cuncordu de Orosei. An initially unlikely assemblage became a powerful, unique and extraordinary work. Uniting this with vintage recordings from Friedrich Händel's "Dank sei dir Gott" featuring singer Emmi Leisner, a very original score was produced. This album is the AudioFilm [cinema for closed eyes] »Requiem For a Dying Planet« by Stefan Winter, inspired by works recorded for Werner Herzog.

After a false start about twenty years ago Ernst Reijseger and Stefan Winter met in Munich in 1996. Since that time the cellist, composer and performance artist Ernst Reijseger and the producer Stefan Winter started a very close artistic cooperation and friendship. Ernst Reijseger's debut solo album was recorded at the Villa Medici in Briosco near Milano. During that recording session friends from the Italian Jazz Festival Clusone came to Briosco to hear and see Ernst Reijseger and they brought with them a cassette of the Voches de Sardinna which created Stefan Winter's curiosity in Sardinian choir music. In the following years Ernst Reijseger and Stefan Winter travelled together to Venice, and during a special Winter & Winter artist meeting the Tenore e Cuncordu de Orosei (Voches de Sardinna) and Ernst Reijseger performed at Caffè Quadri on St. Mark's Square. The album »Colla Voche«, produced on the island Sardinia was the result of this wonderful first collaboration in Venice. The musical journey went on and Ernst Reijseger recorded in Bordeaux (Musiques de Nuit invite Winter & Winter) the album »Janna« dedicated to his daughter featuring the African singer Mola Sylla and the percussionist Serigne C. M. Gueye. Other works with Uri Caine (»Goldberg Variations«), Fumio Yasuda (»Kakyoku«), the Graewe, Reijseger, Hemingway Trio (»Continuum«), Stefan Winter's »Kastanienball«, Vittorio Ghielmi's gamba sound excursion "Full Of Colour" followed. Ernst Reijseger played also an important role in the sound story »Au Bordel«. Not to forget Stian Carstensen's »Backwards into the Backwoods« and the almost non classical new music group Amsterdam String Trio with »Winter Theme«.

In his adopted home Los Angeles Werner Herzog discovered same of these wondrous musical works and he was curious to hear more. In Winter & Winter's show room in Munich he listened for hours to Ernst Reijseger. Werner Herzog was in the process of finishing the documentaries »The White Diamond« and »The Wild Blue Yonder« and Ernst Reijseger's music fulfilled his extraordinary expectations to create a soundtrack for very special stories about the airship engineer Dr. Graham Dorrington in Guyana (»The White Diamond«) and the fiction about an exceptional planet (»The Wild Blue Yonder«). Ernst Reijseger, Mola Sylla and the Voches de Sardinna performed and created together sounds and songs for Werner Herzog.

The international press reacted with a wave of enthusiasm about these film sounds:

"…and a soundtrack featuring a Senegalese singer, five Sardinian voices and a Dutch cellist – is mesmerizing and beyond categorization."
– David Jenkins, Sunday Telegraph

"The sountrack is destined for greater things."
– Ray Bennett, Hollywood Reporter

"A work of hypnotic beauty with an original soundtrack of bewitching music by Ernst Reijseger and with the enchanting voice notably of Mola Sylla from Senegal."
– Fabien Lemercier, CineEuropa

Ernst Reijseger and Stefan Winter remixed the music recorded for Werner Herzog to create an autonomous album with the title »Requiem For a Dying Planet« – the name of the first chapter in »The Wild Blue Yonder«. Most parts of this album were influenced by compositions originally written for religious rites, to thank a divine power, to talk about the tragedy and the guilt of human beings and the belief in God. But this religious music does not stay without a comment. Ernst Reijseger and Mola Sylla adapt the church songs with new sounds, rhythms and texts. »Requiem For a Dying Planet« is not the anticipated death song for the earth, this music is dedicated to this wonderful planet and the beauty of living which could be heavenly if religions would not exist.

:-)

Guys I need help! I d/led The Watcher (Expanded Score)- Marco Beltrami (2000) and it's giving me a weird error when I try to extract it. I asked the uploader (Joserael) about it but he says it might be cuz he has a mac, but he doesn't know how to fix that.

So the error is "Cannot create __MACOSX\The Watcher (Expanded) (2000) - Marco Beltrami \._Read this.txt The system cannot find the path specified".

That error is with all the tracks. Anyone knows how to fix this please?

Or can anyone d/l it, re-zip and upload it for me? I know is too much to ask, is ok if you can't.

Nonetheless thx to Joserael for the upload!

Can someone explain how I might also join the "World Of Soundtrack" blog? It mentions something about needing a Yahoo Account. Can I also e-mail, and get a membership, using my regular e-mail address? Anyone know?
I will also donate, if required.

I can remember downloading some scores there, a few months ago, where you didn't need to join. I guess things have changed.

Thx so much Hank Avaric, but I was looking for this one... http://www.amazon.com/Mad-Men-Original-Score-Vol/dp/B001OC7FBU.

@Gil, The "donation" is 50 dollars. More info here... http://www.karlisakal.blogspot.com/

Ms Boricua said...

You have to make the donation first and then e-mail worldofsoundtrack-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

MsBoricua...seems like an enormous expense, for membership. Does he possess more offerings than other soundtrack blogs? Does he mention the reason for the high fee?

@budarc

Thank you so much - I have been wanted a complete BTILC since the day I saw the film (I kid you not, I made my own bootleg with bits from the DVD and I owned the original Enigma CD released when the film came out... one of the first CDs I ever owned, actually).

Now all we need is the new Prince Of Darkness 2 Disc... although a lot of the original music IS on the original CD (I have the one from Germany).

Isbum said...

@ GilinAZ - Cost of living in Turkey, perhaps? ;)

@ Paulz - POD-2 disc was shared last weekend.
I don't mind if it gets re-posted.
If it doesn't, leave your email and request it as a private share.

@isbum

Ah... see, this is what happens when you spend so much time away from places / computers :-)

Well, if anyone would be so very kind as to repost the link for POD for this SNS, I would be forever thankful.

filmpac said...

@ ms boricua - HUGE thanks for Jeff Wayne's live WOTW, is just wonderful! Filmpac has been doing a happy dance all morning hehe. Its very faithful to the original album, that's fer sure, so much so that I had doubts it was the live version until I heard crowd noises. Super! Time permitting, I will attempt a slice and dice to get it into separate tracks, but I can already see difficulties picking the track breaks. A job for another day. Thanks again!!

Re World Of Soundtrack, I consider charging $50 for membership just flat-out wrong, especially when I know for a fact most of what he offers comes from torrents and p2p.

Re The Watcher. Coming from a Mac, the problem is almost certainly to do with illegal characters in the filename, for a PC. To extract them first rename files inside the zip file (if necessary), and uncheck the box that says use folder names. The other alternative is really really long folder names. Either rename the zip file to something shorter and/or uncheck the box for folder names. Files should then extract ok.

Hope that helps :)

GilinAZ said...

Isbum...must be one of those "$50.00 = $ 10.00" things :-)

GilinAZ said...

filmpac...that guy, in Turkey, must feel "if you want it, you'll pay for it" :-). The other option is, if I wait long enough, the same STs might show up on a free blog :-)

Hope this doesn't get buried amongst the SNS. Never seen this shared before, according to IMDB it is John Addison's final score. Burt Lancaster plays the Phantom...

John Addison "Phantom Of The Opera" (1990), TV movie @224:

@ quinlan - LIST :)

filmpac said...

Amend that, Burt Lancaster is NOT the Phantom. Teach me to read more before posting, huh (:

Ms Boricua said...

@Gil, I agree 100& with both of your comments. I made a blog about it when I found out what he did. I was so mad. His reason was bc his links were getting deleted. I couldn't understand, most of the links came from users and torrents. I would understand if he was to choose to go private, but 50 for membership? I def wont be paying the "donation" fee. Like you said, sooner or later we'll find the soundtracks. ;)

@Filmpac, you're welcome. I'm super glad that it worked for you!
Thx for you reply about The Watcher score. I'm keeping what you wrote in a wordpad for next time. I was asking for a friend that couldn't open it, so I tried and nothing. She asked in another forum and somebody replied to try opening the file with Alzip and it worked for her. Thx again for replying!

GilinAZ said...

MsBoricua...well, he had some things I wanted...but I'll give them up, for that price! Someone else might have also put out a "bad word" about him :-)

Which reminds me....which of you other guys have your own ST blogs?
Or...where is a good index finder?

I was certainly happy to find Isbum's blog...most of the other ones, to which I belonged, went under. If any of you were on them, you probably remember me.

Gil

filmpac said...

@ ms boricua - Chances are that Alzip recognizes the characters as being illegal, and removes them before unzipping. The usual suspects are the slashes, which are illegal for use as a filename on a PC (as they indicate a folder). There's a few others too, as KevinG discovered one weekend LOL ;)

@ gil - Make a request, chances are we can dig up anything World Of Soundtrack has to offer. And we're cheaper too hehe :)

@GilinAZ

Regarding World of Soundtrack, I am in agreement with filmpac. I'm sure this blogger works very hard at putting together all the soundtracks he manages to scrounge off the internet, but he's asking you to pay for what we deliver freely right here. Am sure if you check his list against Quinlan's spreadsheet, you will find most everything available through this friendly forum.

Ms Boricua said...

@Gil, which ones are you looking for? Maybe I have them, I grabbed a whole bunch before he moved to yahoo. :P

@Filmpac, I see. Thx!
Oh, man, it looks like I missed that weekend. lol

@Ruggo, aww, thx so much!

I'm having problems with rapidshare (what else is new), so I'm gonna try to upload W & Glory at Sea on sendspace.

@all - Does anyone still have a copy of Quinlan's spread sheet for November? Would you post it for me?

@filmpac - Thank you for PHANTOM. Can always use another Addison.

@isbum - I am always amazed at the LPs you pull out of your hat. Thank you.

@All - I collect mainly the old "classic Hollywood" guys but for those who do collect current music there were some nice shares this past week. I thank you all even if I don't download.

Bought this from emusic and they tend to do the VBR thing.

Glory at Sea/Death to the Tinman - Dan Romer & Benh Zeitlin (2008)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/w1q8d4

I know this is not about the music perse, but I truly recommend watching Glory at Sea (is only 25 mins). You can watch it at their official site(http://www.court13.com/gloryatsea.mov). Hope this is ok, if not let me know Isbum. I bought the dvd and it comes with like 5 more shorts from the same director and also bought the cd, cuz I want a hardcopy of it. =) And no, I do not work for them, lol.

About the movie... Everything happens after Katrina and a group of mourners and a man spat from the depths of Hades build a boat from the debris of New Orleans to rescue their lost loved ones trapped beneath the sea. -IMDB

Hi everybody

I'm new to this forum, but I have a gigantic library of soundtracks. The problem is I can't find those few rare ones. I can't find them on cd and not on the internet. Can somebody help me please, I'll begin with D2 The Mighty Ducks, David Newman.

Many Thnxz in advance

@Filmpac and all...

When I posted the 2 CD Jeff Wayne's "WOTW" on my blog, I shared my intention that I was going to soon post the 7 CD anniv. box set with tons of extras and never before released materials, such as Anthony Quinn narrating for the verion which was to be marketed in the Latin American countries and one with the late German actor Curd Jurgens, etc.

Also please use this link and go the website:

www.thewaroftheworlds.com, where you can free download the e-PAC, once this downloaded, you can download all the available videos for free.

Afterwords you can uninstall the e-PAC if you wish and yet still keep the videos on your hard drive of choice.

Within the next several days I should have the 30th yr. anniv. box set up.
Have a nice weekend all :)

Peace,
