I'm afraid that my last request has probably got lost in the year-end change-over, so I'll repeat it here in case anyone can help.
"Is there any generous soul out there with access to the soundtracks for "Superman IV: the Quest For Peace" (Courage/Williams) and "Operation Crossbow" (Goodwin)? These are two I would love to hear again."
Hate to bother you (on New Year's Day!) with a repost request, but it seems the more-than-a-year-old link for L. Rosenthal "Film music" (2 CDs) is gone...
Has "Seven Pounds" by Angelo Milli been made available yet as a SNS? Because I could have sworn I've seen the soundtrack posted EVERYWHERE and now that I've seen the movie and want it, I can't seem to track it down anymore. If anyone has it, I'll patiently wait until Saturday Night for a Special.
I would like the score for 7 pounds too. Beautiful music!
Does anyone have the score of the tv series Mad Men by David Carbonara? I have the soundtrack, but didn't know they released the score. Maybe for a SNS?
I too am interested in the 17-track edition of Schifrin's Four Musketeers score. @ Carrasco, do you have a track listing for this release? I bought the Four Musketeers/Eagle Has Landed/Voyage of the Damned cd several years ago and that release was missing some major cues. This would be a great way to start the new year if anyone out there has it.
1. The Four Musketeers (Main Theme) 2. Athos's Theme 3. The Chase To The Convent 4. The Musketeers Rescue Constance 5. Breakfast At The Bastion 6. A Lovely Adventure 7. Chased From The Louvre 8. Milady's Theme 9. Operation Rochefort 10. Milady's Secret 11. The Frozen Pond Fight 12. Milady's Frustration 13. The Fight 14. Milady In Prison 15. Intrigue 16. The Cardinal's Jackal 17. The Four Musketeers (End Credits)
The review I read somewhere said the CD consists of the tracks we know from the earlier release plus seven more cues in mono (and in lesser sound quality).
I'm willing to buy it, but since I already spent a notable sum on the former release, I would love to give it a listen before.

La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc, was one of the end of the silent era’s more luminous productions.
Theodor Carl Dryer’s film starring Maria Falconetti is still the most memorable recounting of the legendary Joan of Arc.
The 1928 silent film classic is a renowned masterpiece whose rescue from obscurity is the stuff of legend. Long thought to have been lost to fire, the original version was miraculously found in perfect condition in 1981—in a Norwegian mental institution.
Lack of funds prevented Dreyer from employing the new technology of sound for his film so he elected to shoot it silent, intending it to be watched that way with no musical accompaniment. However, in 1994 composer Richard Einhorn wrote an oratorio based on the movie, entitled “Voices of Light”, which was offered as optional accompaniment on the Criterion DVD release.
Einhorn’s oratorio combined with screenings of Dreyer’s The Passion of Joan of Arc proved to be a stunning evening of music theatre. The critically acclaimed event brought sold-out houses to their feet at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Next Wave Festival; at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center; at the Kennedy Center and Wolf Trap with the National Symphony; and in dozens of major concert halls across the country.
The Oratorio stands on its own merits, however if you have a chance to hear it in context with the film, it becomes even more spectacular.
Hello all, just a very small contribution which some of you might not dig, but I'm sure a couple of you will...
Despite being a confirmed Tony Scott/action movie junkie, I've somehow only just managed to see The Last Boy Scout for the first time ever recently, but since then I've acquired the DVD & a HD broadcast version that I'm looking into transferring to disc. I've also picked up the Michael Kamen score from this blog but the one thing I can't get out of my head is the opening song by Bill Medley which it seems was never available anywhere. So, with a little DVD extraction and editing I present:
Friday Night's A Great Night For Football from The Last Boy Scout
I've combined the opening and end title versions to give it the longest possible length but with the correct finish rather than sound fx. I know there's a couple of OST junkies on here like me, so I hope someone likes it.
Also, a little request, but can someone SNS me Mr Lockington's Journey to the Center of Some Planet or other in Three Dimensions at 320...I know it was on here a few weeks ago but I missed it, and having just got the blu-ray for xmas I'm addicted to the score. No bother if anyone can't, but thanks in advance if you can.
Hello everyone ! I'm looking for the Intrada version of BUCK ROGERS - it seems that there's only an old LP version floating around the net, but not this new CD version...and I'm looking for years now for a copy of Georges Delerue's PREPAREZ VOS MOUCHOIRS from 1979 - I had a tape of this wonderful LP, but this record seems to be disappeared from the surface of the earth. And at last: a few weeks ago there was a stereo version of Malcolm Arnold's INN OF THE SIXTH HAPPINESS here available, but it was heavily compressed, and the quieter passages were sounding horrible. Does anybody have a straight copy of this LP which is not reworked and filtered ? Wishing a happy weekend to everybody, and Isbum: this is the best blog on the net I ever found !!! The soundtrack community needs people like you...
@ lisaboyle - This community found me, and not a day goes by that I am not astounded and grateful by the generosity and respect visitors show one another here.
Don't be lulled by isbum's humble demeanor. It hides a fierce, protectiveness that has kept us all willingly in line and out of trouble.
This blog and its community as currently constituted and continually growing (and it's adjacent theme areas) would not exist if it weren't for his determination and foresight.
He pulled many of us out of the morass of a once magnificent blog which had become ineffective due to a few vindictive constituents who resented the pure joy of sharing and collecting.
I hope this is still not too late to request a SNS... but I'm really looking to acquire SILVER BULLET Varese CD club release (the darn title sold out so fast).
The Last Boyscout Interesting trivia: Composer Michael Kamen hated the film when he first saw it. The only reason he provided the score was out of his personal friendships with Bruce Willis and producer Joel Silver.
I've been a reader of this blog for a while now, and came across an item I had to share.
Here is a complete recording of Bernard Herrmann's score for Hitchcock's Vertigo. It was conducted by James Conlon for the movie / book Feature Film by Douglas Gordon. It is to date the only complete rerecording of the score.
Thanks for the terrific Vertigo share! Wow. I'd heard of this but hadn't sought it out yet. I intend to learn more about this version now and buy the actual CD. I too have enjoyed this blog and all the wonderful shares and people here for a long time. A new year's resolution of mine is to finally participate once in awhile. Thus far, my delay has mostly been about the learning curve. Plus trying to come up with some truly rare or custom-crafted or otherwise unposted stuff to share...so much has already been uploaded! Once I do post I hope to give back a little bit to this awesome community. Gonna get hit hard with work now that tomorrow brings me (and most of us) back to the grind, but once I catch up I'll find something to share. Meanwhile, happy new year all, thanks for your generosity.
Thanks for 7 Lbs! I've been searching in vain for this ever since I saw the film a couple of weeks ago. Reminds me of Morricone's scores for "Lolita" and "State Of Grace", with the off note in the middle of a romantic musicscape, indicating something's not quite right.
Miklós Rózsa's "Double indemnity/The killers/The lost weekend". 320 kbps. Track list: 1. The Weekend Begins (09:19) The Lost Weekend 2. The First Meeting/The Walk (10:21) The Lost Weekend 3. I'm a bit late but a Happy new Year 2009! I'm not much of a partygoer these last few weeks, but it's always a pleasure to read and enjoy the passion and knowledge that reign here. I hope i'll be a bit more present this year here and at my blog. Cheers from France!
@ Fellow Bloggers - I am very serious about fixing this "Recent Comments" widget. I know many of you bookmark the Filmscorium and rarely, if ever, visit the blogs Main Page, but for me it's an excellent tool for seeing the overall activity here.
I'm even considering closing this blog and leaving it as an "Archive Only" station, if by starting fresh with a new IsbumsPlace will solve this issue.
Help us FIX this problem and we won't have to take such a desperate measure, please.
I'm so sorry, but I cannot be of any help... it took quite some time for me to learn how to even scan properly, although I had a good teacher, but I just don't know enough of this...
@ isbum - A necessary move perhaps, but lets not rush in. My biggest concern is maintaining the integrity of the archives. What we need to ensure is that comments can be moved from one blog to another, without loss.
@ jp4151 - HUGE thanks for that Vertigo release, it was discussed quite a few months ago but never came to light. Book scans would be the icing on the cake :))
Just to show I am still alive, here's Harry Gregson-Williams' swashbuckler score for Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003)
I like this score- it's an unambiguous action-adventure score. Maybe not very ingenious, but I enjoy the rush :D A lot of fun with a couple of nods (have to listen carefully though) to Herrmann's "Sinbad."
@isbum -- I'm relatively new here, but I love the site. I don't know if this will help the widget problems, but the "recent posts" section on the main site has a link to a website called "Review of web". Turns out, that site, which I think developed the widget, actually released a new, updated version today. Strange timing, huh? Anyway, I hope that helps. I'd hate to see the site closed.
Am seriously concerned about the absence of our friend JEAN from this blog as well as his own since the beginning of the year.
The glitch on the front page of Franklynot with numerous quotes by chimezatmidnight only serves to remind how interdependant we have all become on each other.
@ mjmarks - Thanks! We'll look into that & welcome to our home!
@ ruggo - With the all to recent hospital visit, Jean's disappearance has me worried too. As to our blog archives...don't worry either. I don't think Blogger had in mind comment areas that go near or over a 1000 remarks per posting. We blew their circuits! ;)
They redesigned it for 200 at a time (yuk to that idea!) but we're coming up on 2 years of stored feedback. That's probably nowhere near the problem but my overactive imagination allows me to theorize till the cows come home. ;)
In addition to music blogging (to which I really am still a newbie...)for more than 10 years I have been participating in an overseas soccer forum. Being an alder statesmen amongst much younger (but also long time/regular) participants we have developed the same interdependence/cameraderie and the brotherly love which most of us in our own neighborhoods -spread throughout the globe- could hardly experience.
Such is the case of Jean and us all. Jean actually is also somewhat of a newcomer to the group, also. Yet with his compassion for us and the music he loves, he won us all over, in a heartbeat.
I can't imagine anyone who'se gotten to know him would not notice his absences, we've experienced in recent months occasionally.
I love this good man and I am praying for his healthy return and his good health.
This is a wild guess, but have you tried removing the other widgets one by one and seeing if the comments widget starts working again? You might want to start with the artwork dept. comments widget.
Thx,Many thx to all of You,expecially to Bmiami, for that Jarre share. You Made this New year more happy!Anyone knows about a complete edition of michael Giacchino's Speed Racer?Thx,Thx,Thx!!!
Lisaboyle1, I have the 15-track Intrada 'Buck Rogers' - give me a day or two, and I'll post it for you. Just having some computer problems at the moment.
Re.Comments Widget - I've tried Busters suggestion of removing the other widgets and re-installing the one we want. No good I'm afraid it still seems stuck on Aug 2007!
Isbum and myself have been trying to set up a back-up Frankly site to secure all the archived comments for future posterity :)
We're just waiting on blogger to fix a bug which limits the amount of comments we can export. When that's fixed we will start duplicating and moving them.
A slight name change here may be in order soon so may I suggest that you bookmark the Filmscorium "comments" rather than the main page. Then if you aren't around when the change occurs you will still be able to visit the Filmscorium to find out what's going on :)
There's no need to worry!
Isbum will give you plenty of warning before ANY changes occur. You'll always be able to find us here. Even if the site url is changed, we will leave a re-direction message at THIS url anyway :)
Don't want to cause any alarm, just letting you guys know what may be in store!
crossposting this between two sections of Franklynot: The Incredible Filmscorium and Euro-Cine Scores
Anyway,
I was enjoying my copy of Morricone's "Malèna" and suddenly figured I might rip the music and scan the covers, just to please the Enniophiles.
However, as I was perusing the FranklyNot archives to see if anyone else had had this idea, I noticed two things.
First of all, the score. Quinlan's Excel scorelist lists it as uploaded to megaupload, but the link points to a rar archive named "madalena" and it's barely 65MB. Furthermore, the comment states "Ennio Morricone Madalena rip from LP." Now, did Malèna get released on LP at all? And if it's 65MB the sound quality can't be that good now can it..?
Secondly, as I was browsing the Artwork Department for the coverscans, I noticed the ones that Southview212 uploaded are actually the "censored" covers from Virgin USA. I am in the possession of the original Italian cd-release which has a much nicer front cover :p Some here might know what I am talking about.
So here we have the same album but with complete different artwork on the cover and within the booklet, since one has been koshered for the prudish USA market, which ticks me off because you do not actually SEE ANYTHING PORNOGRAPHIC.
crossposting is the only way on the nether regions of Vinyl Adventures so here to is a new year request - something i used to have but in a moment of folly let go- would love to hear again Ed Welch's 39 Steps from 1978 cheers and 'appy New Years!
Some of the lads at Vagos and I where talking about a difficult to get score by Nick Bicat of a TV christmas film with George C. Scott. Beautiful score!
@scoredaddy (or whomever can help) - I'm looking for the BERNARD HERRMANN CONCERT SUITES that was uploaded in September. However, the Megaupload link that's listed downloads John Scott's THE FINAL COUNTDOWN. If anyone has another link, it would be greatly appreciated.
@ lmg I was going through the December comments in order to build up the December link list when I noticed your post of December 14 where you were answering isbum to his question of the reason why you were asking me not to list some of your links i.e. because they were dead due to your webhoster policy. If I may, I'd like to give you my thoughts on this subject. First of all, thank you to take care of the troubles I might have to list the links, including the dead ones. But frankly(yes), there is no trouble. No one asked me to prepare these lists and I do it only as the expression of my appreciation to this wonderful community and to what everyone is doing so kindly here. My intention and humble ambition is to try to keep a permanent record of each and every link posted with the only exception of those which are posted under the "Saturday Night Special" banner for being of records too recently released and still in print. It has happened more than once that I noticed that a link was dead at the time I was preparing the list and nevertheless I listed it as a recognition of the fact that it had been once active and that someone had generously decided to share the correponding music. You're saying that your files are stored on an external drive and that you're willing to reupload them at anytime on request. I think that people would more easily raise such reupload requests if they find out that you previously posted a link which became inactive later on. I mean if I don't list them they would not even be aware that you have what they are looking for. So unless you have some strong further objections which I will respect, I think I should list these links, which as a matter of fact, may very well still be active at the time I publish the lists, i.e. a few days (hopefully) after the end of the preceeding month that is to say rather shortly after you posted them. Cheers
@ di(aphanous I just read your comment of December 19 concerning my permanent request of the way I wish the links posted to be described. Nothing to add to it, just my deep appreciation for your concern. Thank you bud.
I'm looking for these scores in the list of my requests list is below.
1.Stony Island David Matthews
Rewiew from blaxploitation.com
Ouch! One look at the band lineup on the back of the sleeve is enough to have any decent funk enthusiast reaching for the cash. James '103rd St Band' Gadson? Patrice Rushen? Andy Newmark, David Sanborn? Hiram Bullock? On a 70s soundtrack arranged by David 'Sandworms' Matthews? This has got to be a good one, right? Damn right. Almost entirely composed of wicked late 70s funk, don't miss it. There's even a killer short open drum break for the producers too. Too many good tracks to mention - a great mix of vocal and instrumental numbers, all tight, all well recorded and produced. Excellent, excellent, excellent, and totally slept-on by everyone except those in the know (which now includes you, so get down to the record store and dig it immediately!)

Does anybody have the new Four Parks One World 2 CD set from Walt Disney World? I won't be making it down this year because of the same economical issues that is plaging us all. Also I have a request for a link to Jerry's Way, Way, Out!? I have spent hours "to many to be proud of" looking thru the past posts to find it.

I downloaded the soundtrack to Stay Tuned and it had a disappointing TWO score tracks on it (totaling less than 4 minutes). At the very least, this compilation has 6 minutes! :P
Hi there! I am a naughty Lurker. It takes me a while to summon up courage to respond and such. Please forgive me. I have been searching the net for a couple of scores within the last few months or so with no luck.
Jingle All The Way by David Newman
Swashbuckler by John Addison
Sinbad and the Eye of The Tiger by Roy Budd
I thank you in advance and I hope I can somehow be of any help to all of you as well.
I am a big fan of classic film scores and in particular of Bernard Herrmann’s. So much of his stuff is widely available (and I think I have most of it!) but recently several Fox DVDs have included isolated score tracks from this great composer. Here are links to two complete DVD rips from Herrmann…
The original recording for Jane Eyre was released officially in the early 90s, but was incomplete and of very poor quality. This DVD rip was taken from the isolated score featured on the DVD from two years back. It sounds pretty good, and contains three cues not available on the Marco Polo rerecording (and by and large Herrmann’s conducting is far superior!).
Garden of Evil was released in a compilation called Bernard Herrmann at Fox (released by Varese Sarabande) but it too was incomplete.
There are three bonus cues included in the file:
The Shire The Watchers
These two cues were indeed in the film, but for some reason the isolated score track lacked them, so I just took the cues from the film's finished soundtrack, and as such they contain dialogue and SFX. The third bonus cue is:
The Revolver and The Wild Party
These two cues were so close together I had to separate them awkwardly, so I decided to include the cues combined incase anyone preferred it.
I’ve also done a rip from the recently released The Day the Earth Stood Still DVD, but it contains no new music (though to my ear, it contains less hiss than the officially released CD from the early 90s). If anyone wants, I can upload it…
I'm currently working on Herrmann's scores for the Twilight Zone. The Image Entertainment DVDs thankfully included isolated scores for a great deal of the episodes (and all of Herrmann's) but it may be a few weeks before they're all done (especially with school starting up on Monday). I hope you all enjoy.
I have a request I hope someone can fulfill:
Does anyone have the recent La-La-Land release of Mark Snow’s Millennium TV soundtrack? I love the show and have enjoyed the iTunes exclusive soundtrack for years now, so it would be great to hear some new material from the show. Thanks!
@ gordonblu & JP4151 - Thanks for showing up and showing out! Welcome to our house. JP4151 - You are going to make some people extremely happy with those shares. Bring on more Herrmann's anytime you find the time!
Gordonblu - I just uploaded several John Addison's, but the coincidence stopped there. I'll happily provide "Swashbuckler" & "Sinbad" by Roy Budd tomorrow, it's late here.
@ GSW & Sorie - You fellas might have links for those two, if so, post away my friends! I'll check the board tomorrow before uploading them.

"The Charge of the Light Brigade" 1968 "The Honey Pot" 1967 by John Addison
I´ve been developing an obsession with finding the title for an old TV series in the last weeks.
I´m done searching, so I want to ask if any of you can remember that show.
I cant really remember if the show was British or Australian, but by the score it´s probably British.
The show is about a couple of veterinarians or doctors who has a countryside clinic, mid 70s or early 80s. With some comedy spins, mostly was a medical drama.
The main title of this show was really incredible, in total british style, with a rhythmic strings section, a baroque trumpet in the melody, then a second baroque trumpet doing counterpoint, and a typical timpani marking the strong tempos.
The opening of the show was simple, the doc driving through the countryside to reach his clinic in a small british like town.
I think this show could be produced by Thames Television or BBC, but I´m not sure.
If anyone of you can remember something about this TV show, I´ll be extremely grateful. The title, any actor, anything!
Sorry to bother you guys with this, but I´m running out of options in the search. I think I´m loosing it!
Hi. I think you must be thinking of 'All Creatures Great and Small' which starred Robert Hardy and Peter Davison. I think there was a 'sequel' series, which had a different title. I remember the theme!
@ALEX, about Australia... I have the 5 EP album that iTunes is selling. Can post it on sat if you like. I'm also waiting for the score, hopefully they'll release it soon. Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
According to this site there is a maybe http://www.australiamovie.net/2009/01/hirschfelders-score-australia-soundtrack-mia/ And you have some music there (to listen only) http://www.davidhirschfelder.com/
I don´t understand, the main title from "All Creatures Great and Small" by Johnny Pearson is very beautiful, but not the one I´m looking for...not the one we remember...
Could that series had an different music for international screenings?
Or the sequel was extremely unsuccessful that no info is available...
The 1975 film with Anthony Hopkins was scored by Wilfred Josephs. Could that film had the music I´m after?
Does anyone else have some info on this?
What a drag! I´m telling you...I think I´m loosing it!...
@JP4151 and all Speaking of isolated dvd scores, the Planet of the Apes films were recently released on blu-ray and each disc has an isolated score on it. I am specifically interested in the isolated score for Escape from the Planet of the Apes if someone has pulled it from the blu-ray yet.
Jeff, in the david hirschfelder site it says that the samples section is under construction...
John James, the tracks are from the score? at i-tunes there are five tracks but they are songs. The last song by Elton John is a nice one and probably will be nominated to the original song category at the Oscars Cerimony
Sorry....think I got my facts twisted. After you reminded me of the movie, I remembered that there was a sequel to that (It Shouldn't Happen to a Vet). Music for that was by Laurie Johnson. I haven't seen it, though. There was no sequel to the TV show.
Sorry it wasn't the theme you were after. Keep on it!
@ pagemaster65: Thank you so much for uploading Jeff Rona - Sharkwater!!! Such a great music, thanks for fulfilling my deep wish, God bless you!
@ filmpac: REALLY good news, which you had for me! Always nice to see if somebody is ready to help like YOU are! I know that this costs you nerves and muuuch time! Thanks for your hard search and finding Randy Edelman - For Richer Or Poorer & Debbie Wiseman - My Uncle Silas!!! Still hoping you get hold of the 34-tracks version of Forces Of Nature. Any chances here?;)
@ all: Georges Delerue - An Almost Perfect Affair, my rip, @ 320 kbps: http://rapidshare.com/files/181090303/GD-AAPA.rar
I shared the covers in the Artwork Department a short while ago.
@all, I have a question... I came to terms with "Forbidden Dance: Lambada" not having a soundtrack/score, cuz I've been looking for yrs with no luck. Here's my question, does anyone know an easy way to rip the music from the dvd? Somebody kindly sent me a guide, but I fail! seriously I don't understand. I mean, I got the audio from the dvd, but I guess I need to chop it up. The guide said that DVD Decrypter would cut it up for me, but it didn't. :( any ideas of what other software can do this?
I may be cazy, but I could have sworn someone was looking for Air Force One: Rejected Score by Randy Newman. Anyway, I found that jura007 has put it up at vagos.fm.
Randy Newman's rejected Air Force One (24 trk, 59:29 RT, 132 MB, 320 kbps)

Part 2: http://rapidshare.com/files/181026064/Air_Force1_Reject_1997.part2.rar
All thanks and credit to Jura007 (and Randy Newman, of course)
@all / @pagemaster65: Thank you for uploading Jeff Rona - Sharkwater! But I thought you have a 22-tracks music version, which fits to your cover. The promo version, which you uploaded contains 23 tracks (as the one i have) and doesn't fit to your cover. The Question is: Does a 22-tracks music version exist???
@ gordonblu - Unbelievable! I have Swashbuckler on disc with The Honey Pot - I'd have to re-rip it/title all the tracks & don't really have that time available. I'm a "hunt & peck" typist, so it's time consuming when I'm just sure someone has the original download on their computer and can zip/upload it.
Also, I just discovered I sold my "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" Cinefile Cd WITHOUT RIPPING IT! I know I shared it here at least ONCE, but the Quinlan Excel files show no trace of it.
In all, I'll shut up from now on until I confirm I have the requests readily available!
Sorry...so very sorry.
REQUESTS:
"Swashbuckler" Intr@da by John Addison "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" by Roy Budd
@ Ms Boricua - Thank you! I feel like an idiot for not ripping "Sinbad" before selling it! I bought it at an Amoeba store in San Francisco when roomie & I were celebrating my first year of sobriety. These stressful financial times have made me do some dumb things. I want to contribute music here as much as I can, so selling Cd's to gain some store credit get's to blurring my better judgment.
@ Quinlan - I wasn't saying anything negative about your Excel spreadsheets my friend. For a dyslexic like me, they are challenging. I used to go through and alphabetize the composers to make scores easier to find. Could you tell me if there's an easy way to search once I have each month displayed?
@MaD: My hero! I've been seeking this for, well, forever, it seems. Float a gold star over your head for this one!
@Ms. Boricua: Looking forward to Sinbad, too!
@Isbum: Somehow I don't think "finding a wall to bang your head against" is necessary, nor is this what is referred to as "headbanging" music. So don't do yourself any damage, please -- we all need you, preferably with brain intact!
@ The Countess - :)) I shall avoid injury by playing John Addison's "Swashbuckler"! A score that never fails to make me feel like a kid again! Long ago, I took a super8 sound camera into Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride and when I later edited the film, I recorded the music from "Swashbuckler" onto the magnetic filmstrip. Ferget Zimmer & co.! Addison's music fit it perfectly!!
@ Isbum: You actually made me LOL reading your comment! And you've given me a wonderful juxtaposition to visualize in my mind's eye while I listen to "Swashbuckler" this afternoon. Maybe I'll see you there! And yes, there's something decidedly evocative of rolicking childhood play in this wonderful score. Would that more soundtracks were so well matched to their movies. And you know I'll never be able to ride that ride at Disney again without thinking of you -- and this soundtrack! Thanks!
I just check some videos from "A Country Practice" including the opening theme, and sadly, that´s not the one either.
Thanks for helping me with this!,
I think it must be from any of the "All Creatures Great and Small" versions. Sooner or later I will find it. I think I´ll make a smal midi file with the melody in case someone could remember it. I´ll post it in a couple of hours.
Thanks again Robert!, Its been a lonely search until yesterday with JADTERSDAD and your help!
Hands up everyone who remembers the saga of the Enola Gay from a year or so back? Well, Filmmusicman has a fresh rip, with remastered sound. You almost feel like the problem track is still a problem, but it isn't really. I hope...
@ thxjay - Thanks for the Lalo, I feel like a total numbnuts for not checking the Crime Lounge ;)
@ jp4151 - You've sure made one Herrmannite very happy with those isolated score rips, thanks :))
@ isbum - You woke up in a piratey mood today, hey? No head banging allowed or I'll club you with me wooden leg ;)
@ tony - Might be a wee while before the Artwork Department can relay that request to Southview212. The link from us to Southview is currently experiencing technical difficulties, sob (:
New page, same old, boring, annoying, inundated, belligerent requests... :P
This is the last time I'll post these, in the unlikely event that some brave soul has any information pertaining to them. As always, thanks for giving the time to look over these!
MOVIES The Lighter Side - Bruce Broughton (compilation album) Mr. Bean - Howard Goodall (from the TV series) Pee-wee's Playhouse - Mark Mothersbaugh (from the TV series) Step Brothers - Jon Brion (promo) Sweeney Todd - Stephen Sondheim (the score tracks, not the songs)
VIDEO GAMES (requests posted on Parzival's page, currently unfulfilled, posted here for good measure!) Pitfall 3D: Beyond the Jungle - David Logan (Playstation) Pitfall: The Lost Expedition - Kevin Marthei (PC, Playstation 2, Xbox) Sam and Max: Season One - Jared Emerson-Johnson (2-disc album)

Hi all,
Happy new year to all of you!!!
From France.
Many thanks

Hate to bother you (on New Year's Day!) with a repost request, but it seems the more-than-a-year-old link for L. Rosenthal "Film music" (2 CDs) is gone...
@ xulhma
I can re-up the 2 disc Rosenthal.
Thanks in advance, Isbum
Hi guys!,...
I have a request!
Les Visiteurs (1993) by Eric Levi.
Anyone?
Have a great year guys!
Happy New Year everyone!
I want to renew my request from the end of the previous month so hopefully someone will see it here!
METRO by Steve Porcaro
Thanks!
@ bmiami - I've seen a copy of "Metro" in the used bins. It sounds like a short but exciting score by these track titles:
1. Main Title (01:55)
2.Jewelry Store Exterior (01:45)
3.First Chase (02:35)
4.Cable Car Chase (06:17)
5.Video Partner (01:43)
6.Stalking Ronnie (03:10)
7.Clarence Attacks (04:40)
8.pre-Love (01:46)
9.Korda Escapes (01:48)
10.Ronnie's Gone (03:10)
11.Final Chase (03:07)
Practically the whole score is chase music!
I'm in! Count me as a 2nd person who wants to hear it!
I'll see if Amoeba has a copy, but I bet what I saw was The Last Metro. :(
Well, I ran across this in my files when getting "El Topo" DVD version set for burning.

Does anyone have the 17-track version of Lalo Schifrin's The Four Musketeers from the Australian Label X?
Has "Seven Pounds" by Angelo Milli been made available yet as a SNS? Because I could have sworn I've seen the soundtrack posted EVERYWHERE and now that I've seen the movie and want it, I can't seem to track it down anymore. If anyone has it, I'll patiently wait until Saturday Night for a Special.
I would like the score for 7 pounds too. Beautiful music!
Does anyone have the score of the tv series Mad Men by David Carbonara? I have the soundtrack, but didn't know they released the score. Maybe for a SNS?
Thanks!

@ isbum
Listening to "Rambling Rose" right now. What an unexpected treat! Thank you.
@ Mister T
Here's the tracklist:
1. The Four Musketeers (Main Theme)
2. Athos's Theme
3. The Chase To The Convent
4. The Musketeers Rescue Constance
5. Breakfast At The Bastion
6. A Lovely Adventure
7. Chased From The Louvre
8. Milady's Theme
9. Operation Rochefort
10. Milady's Secret
11. The Frozen Pond Fight
12. Milady's Frustration
13. The Fight
14. Milady In Prison
15. Intrigue
16. The Cardinal's Jackal

Friday Night's A Great Night For Football from The Last Boy Scout
http://rapidshare.com/files/179458535/LastBoyScoutTheme.zip
I've combined the opening and end title versions to give it the longest possible length but with the correct finish rather than sound fx. I know there's a couple of OST junkies on here like me, so I hope someone likes it.
Also, a little request, but can someone SNS me Mr Lockington's Journey to the Center of Some Planet or other in Three Dimensions at 320...I know it was on here a few weeks ago but I missed it, and having just got the blu-ray for xmas I'm addicted to the score. No bother if anyone can't, but thanks in advance if you can.
@ MaD - I'm downloading "Metro" now.
Kick-start my day with an action score. Thanks in advance for sharing it!
@ Simon Underwood - It's always fascinating to see what little obsessions we gather via the movies.
Charming post & I hope you get your request!
@ Ms Boricua - Like Hannie Caulter you came at us, both guns blazing!
Thanks so much for the SNS'!
*I see another year of trying to keep up with you amazing people!
Hi, anyone have Goldsmith's Outland?
Anyone have Leith Stevens' scifi World Without End?

Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!
I've been looking for Bill Medley's "Friday Night's A Great Night For Football" from The Last Boy Scout for a very VERY long time.

Thanks Ruggo.

A Saturday Night Special Request.....Goldsmith's Cassandra Crossing.
Would anyone have Kamen's THE LAST BOY SCOUT in 320 or lossless? I've had a 128 version forever but it sounds sooo dang tinny.
Will be upping HURLYBURLY later tonight. :)
@lisaboyle
Thanks in advance!
@ Maimone Digital

Interesting trivia: Composer Michael Kamen hated the film when he first saw it. The only reason he provided the score was out of his personal friendships with Bruce Willis and producer Joel Silver.

Hi gang!
I've been a reader of this blog for a while now, and came across an item I had to share.

@Isbum
I'm so sorry, but I cannot be of any help... it took quite some time for me to learn how to even scan properly, although I had a good teacher, but I just don't know enough of this...
best wishes
sorei
@ tlkjwe - One from your list I managed to find. And yes, I am working on My Uncle Silas too, coming soon...
Randy Edelman "For Richer Or Poorer" (1997), @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/178618579/RE-ForRicherOrPoorer.zip
@ isbum - A necessary move perhaps, but lets not rush in. My biggest concern is maintaining the integrity of the archives. What we need to ensure is that comments can be moved from one blog to another, without loss.
@ jp4151 - HUGE thanks for that Vertigo release, it was discussed quite a few months ago but never came to light. Book scans would be the icing on the cake :))
This one is a SOLD OUT Limited Edition of 1000, so I think I'm okay and it doesn't need to be a SNS:

Just to show I am still alive, here's Harry Gregson-Williams' swashbuckler score for Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (2003)
I like this score- it's an unambiguous action-adventure score. Maybe not very ingenious, but I enjoy the rush :D A lot of fun with a couple of nods (have to listen carefully though) to Herrmann's "Sinbad."

@isbum
I have the main page bookmarked, so I always start with the colorful graphics which constantly remind me of the wonders within.
Whatever you decide to do, nothing could ever replace the archives of our friendships.
SEARCH PARTY ALERT!!!!!!!!!
That's probably nowhere near the problem but my overactive imagination allows me to theorize till the cows come home. ;)
I had an email from Jean as recently as December 30th. Let's hope that all is well.
@Ruggo,
In addition to music blogging (to which I really am still a newbie...)for more than 10 years I have been participating in an overseas soccer forum.
@ Isbum,
This is a wild guess, but have you tried removing the other widgets one by one and seeing if the comments widget starts working again? You might want to start with the artwork dept. comments widget.
@ buster - I'll post that suggestion where THXjay can read it. He's our tech-support here.
At the moment I've created a blog called Franklynot Archives and we're going to move '07 & '08's comment archives over there.
@ All - You have just a few hours to snag those SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIALS now. Midnight is fast approaching!
Thx,Many thx to all of You,expecially to Bmiami, for that Jarre share. You Made this New year more happy!Anyone knows about a complete edition of michael Giacchino's Speed Racer?Thx,Thx,Thx!!!

Quinlan - DNL
Hi all,
Talking about Miklos Rozsa, 'The Knights Of The Round Table'
Any help would be very welcome.
Thanks, Ron
Lisaboyle1, I have the 15-track Intrada 'Buck Rogers' - give me a day or two, and I'll post it for you. Just having some computer problems at the moment.
Oh by the way, yesterday I uploaded Gregson-Williams "Sinbad: legend of the seven seas."
If you want the artwork, head over to the artwork department. Thanks to Southview212, you can download them here:
http://thecrimelounge3.blogspot.com/2008/12/sinbad-legend-of-seven-seas.html
Ciao and enjoy, as always.
Hello folks,
crossposting this between two sections of Franklynot: The Incredible Filmscorium and Euro-Cine Scores
Anyway,
I was enjoying my copy of Morricone's "Malèna" and suddenly figured I might rip the music and scan the covers, just to please the Enniophiles.
However, as I was perusing the FranklyNot archives to see if anyone else had had this idea, I noticed two things.
First of all, the score. Quinlan's Excel scorelist lists it as uploaded to megaupload, but the link points to a rar archive named "madalena" and it's barely 65MB. Furthermore, the comment states "Ennio Morricone Madalena rip from LP."
Now, did Malèna get released on LP at all?
*******************************************************
So without much further a-do, Morricone's Oscar-nominated score for "Malèna," ripped with EAC/Lame in 320kbps mp3 by me:
Ennio Morricone - Malèna [RTI Music 2000 RTI 7243 8508112 5]
http://rapidshare.com/files/180401073/_2000__E0n0o_M0r0i0o0e_-_M0l_0a__RTI_Version_.zip
And the RTI-version artwork portraiting Monica Bellucci in full glory, minus photo-chopped nipple that is..:
http://rapidshare.com/files/180394547/_2000__E0n0o_M0r0i0o0e_-_M0l_0a__RTI_Version___covers_.zip
Enjoy the music ... and the artwork ;)

@riddim1903- first off, I hope the "surprise" is that you've been in touch with jean, as we are all very concerned.
Also, thank for the kind words and directing Gus to my blog.
I do believe the title he is looking for is called "Christmas Present", which there are 5 cues on the Bicat compilation disc I've posted.
Cheers :)
@ Tony - I don't think that's the surprise riddim1903 has in mind.
Although Jean will be surprised at all the concern for his whereabouts.
@ lmg
I was going through the December comments in order to build up the December link list when I noticed your post of December 14 where you were answering isbum to his question of the reason why you were asking me not to list some of your links i.e. because they were dead due to your webhoster policy.
Cheers
@ di(aphanous
I just read your comment of December 19 concerning my permanent request of the way I wish the links posted to be described.
Nothing to add to it, just my deep appreciation for your concern.
Thank you bud.
Hello @ All
Happy New year for everyone
I' new on this forum.

@pinscher68
There's no password, I extracted it without problems.
@ pinscher
No problems here, either. Try again, and if you need a re-upload I'm sure someone will oblige.
Here is a link that I just posted that I know some folks have been looking for.

Hi everyone,
Some of you antiquarians may be interested in Miklos Rozsa's own recording of his music from The Red House, in a 1947 recording issued by Capitol.
It's all over at the Big 10-Inch Record.

Swashbuckler by John Addison
Sinbad and the Eye of The Tiger by Roy Budd
I thank you in advance and I hope I can somehow be of any help to all of you as well.
Hello again,
I am a big fan of classic film scores and in particular of Bernard Herrmann’s. So much of his stuff is widely available (and I think I have most of it!) but recently several Fox DVDs have included isolated score tracks from this great composer. Here are links to two complete DVD rips from Herrmann…

…both done by me at 320kbps!
The Shire
The Watchers

Hi guys!,
Listen,......
Cheers everybody!
Hi. I think you must be thinking of 'All Creatures Great and Small' which starred Robert Hardy and Peter Davison. I think there was a 'sequel' series, which had a different title. I remember the theme!
@ JADSTERDAD
Yes, I remember that show. The music was by Johnny Pearson if I remember correctly. A beautiful opening theme also.
So, you are saying there was a sequel?
And you remember that theme?, Fantastic!, then I´m not crazy!
Thanks a lot JADSTERDAD! I´ll resume my search!, now for the sequel of "All Creatures Great and Small"!
I´m in the quest for that music.
If that happens I´ll share it here!
Many, many thanks JADSTERDAD, wish me luck!
@ALEX, about Australia... I have the 5 EP album that iTunes is selling. Can post it on sat if you like. I'm also waiting for the score, hopefully they'll release it soon. Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
@ Alex and Ms Boricua
According to this site there is a maybe
http://www.australiamovie.net/2009/01/hirschfelders-score-australia-soundtrack-mia/
And you have some music there (to listen only)

A surprisingly good B-movie adventure score:

Enjoy.
@ JADSTERSDAD
I don´t understand, the main title from "All Creatures Great and Small" by Johnny Pearson is very beautiful, but not the one I´m looking for...not the one we remember...
Could that series had an different music for international screenings?
Or the sequel was extremely unsuccessful that no info is available...
The 1975 film with Anthony Hopkins was scored by Wilfred Josephs. Could that film had the music I´m after?
Does anyone else have some info on this?
What a drag! I´m telling you...I think I´m loosing it!...
Thanks again JADSTERSDAD!
@ JP4151
Thanks for the DVD rips. And if you have more, bring 'em on!
Speaking of isolated scores on DVD, is there any site that has an up-to-date list? This guy:
http://www.treuherz.de/ralf/scores/dvdlist.htm
...used to keep his list current but hasn't updated since 2005.
@JP4151 and all
Speaking of isolated dvd scores, the Planet of the Apes films were recently released on blu-ray and each disc has an isolated score on it. I am specifically interested in the isolated score for Escape from the Planet of the Apes if someone has pulled it from the blu-ray yet.
Thanks
Thanks for the isolated score rips JP4151!! :)

@ Jeff
Thank you very much for the Australia link
I got the 5 tracks @128
Jeff, in the david hirschfelder site it says that the samples section is under construction...
John James, the tracks are from the score? at i-tunes there are five tracks but they are songs. The last song by Elton John is a nice one and probably will be nominated to the original song category at the Oscars Cerimony
@Gus
Keep on it!
JAD
Request:

@John James
I'm obviously too stupid to find my way though having these 5 tracks, spent some time on Hirschfelds Page, without success.
:-(
@ pagemaster65:
Thank you so much for uploading Jeff Rona - Sharkwater!!!
Such a great music, thanks for fulfilling my deep wish, God bless you!
@ filmpac:
REALLY good news, which you had for me!

Part 1: http://rapidshare.com/files/181024940/Air_Force1_Reject_1997.part1.rar
Part 2: http://rapidshare.com/files/181026064/Air_Force1_Reject_1997.part2.rar
All thanks and credit to Jura007 (and Randy Newman, of course)
@all / @pagemaster65:
Thank you for uploading Jeff Rona - Sharkwater!
REQUESTS:
"Swashbuckler" Intr@da
by John Addison
"Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger"
by Roy Budd
(isbum finds a wall to bump his head against)
@isbum, you probably want a better quality, but I've found this...
Sinbad and Eye of the Tiger - Roy Budd (1977) @192
hxxp://rapidshare.com/files/96519887/Sinbad_and_the_eye_of_the_tiger-ROY_BUDD.rar.html
Thx to juanginger for the upload.
@isbum
Swashbuckler (1976, Intrada) - John Addison @320
http://rapidshare.com/files/181191466/S-JA.rar
@Isbum, you're welcome. =)
Hey, I've found a link for Simbad in the spreadsheet shared back in April by thingmaker (it's @320)... hxxp://www.megaupload.com/?d=UTRMXCPX
For Swashbuckler, I've found 3 links. One yours back in June 08, one in Dec 07 and one in July 07, but all dead. :(
For the spreadsheet, you can click under "edit" and you'll see a "find" click that and type whatever and hit enter or "find next". Hope this helps.
Crap, totally misspelled that. I meant, *Sinbad*.
Absolutely brilliant soundtrack:

@ The Countess - :)) I shall avoid injury by playing John Addison's "Swashbuckler"! A score that never fails to make me feel like a kid again!
Long ago, I took a super8 sound camera into Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride and when I later edited the film, I recorded the music from "Swashbuckler" onto the magnetic filmstrip. Ferget Zimmer & co.! Addison's music fit it perfectly!!
@ Robert
Thanks a lot man!, Its a beautiful theme from Johnny Pearson!
Sadly, its not the one JADSTERSDAD and I remember,....
Many, many thanks anyway Robert!
Thanks!
@Gus,
No Problem. I have just been re reading your post above....
Could it have been "A Country Practice" the Australian TV medical 'drama' from about 20 years ago?
@ The Countess - It was my 21st Birthday when I filmed Pirates.
I wonder how many changes to the ride have happened since 1980?
@ Robert,
I just check some videos from "A Country Practice" including the opening theme, and sadly, that´s not the one either.
Cheers man!
@Southview212 - I saw the covers you submitted to the Art blog for Lee Holdridge's "The Tenth Man" and they've whetted my appetite.
Any chance of uploading this score here for all to enjoy :)
Hands up everyone who remembers the saga of the Enola Gay from a year or so back? Well, Filmmusicman has a fresh rip, with remastered sound. You almost feel like the problem track is still a problem, but it isn't really. I hope...
Maurice Jarre "Enola Gay" (1980), LP @320:

@ thxjay - Thanks for the Lalo, I feel like a total numbnuts for not checking the Crime Lounge ;)
@ jp4151 - You've sure made one Herrmannite very happy with those isolated score rips, thanks :))
@ isbum - You woke up in a piratey mood today, hey? No head banging allowed or I'll club you with me wooden leg ;)
@ tony - Might be a wee while before the Artwork Department can relay that request to Southview212. The link from us to Southview is currently experiencing technical difficulties, sob (:
@ Robert & JADSTERSDAD
I did a little emulation of the theme I remember from that British show.
Is this the theme you remember JADSTERSDAD? Do you recognize it Robert?
It is a small file for you to download it. Here it is:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NAI6EMZ9
@ Isbum: Hi man, do you know anyone who is well versed in old British TV show music? Any help will be great!
Thanks a lot guys!, Hope you can recognize this theme!
Cheers to everybody!
@ Gus - Watson and Ennioman spring to mind. Sadly, I can't say if or how often they visit.
I do have faith that this quandary will be quelled quickly! ;)
New page, same old, boring, annoying, inundated, belligerent requests... :P
This is the last time I'll post these, in the unlikely event that some brave soul has any information pertaining to them. As always, thanks for giving the time to look over these!
