To finish up the 1970's, we have posted over at Ruggo and Jean's Fine House Of Compilations the final two volumes of that decade. A plea for help with certain scores and/or tracks from the 1980's will be issued soon. In the meantime:

@Ms Boricua: the posting of those 2 Burwell scores is wonderful of you to do: both are difficult to find and there's been a lot of interest from a number of us. I'm a huge admirer of Burwell's so I'm looking forward to listening to them both. What you've done is much... Thanks!
"The DenoumenT" is available for download now HERE: * LINK in Comments

Hello guys, Was wondering if anyone could help me out please with a high bit rate version of Mad Monster Party by Maury Laws 1967 released on Retr0grade / percep*o FS^^ records, covers would be wonderful also,
...sorry, also looking for the 15 track version of Goldsmith's Patton that appeared on the FS^^ label doubled up with Flight of the Phoenix (which I have @320) just looking for the Patton tracks at the same b/r to double it up correctly, many thanks all
Request: Prince Valiant FS^^ higer b/r if possible Franz Waxman
Many thanks
PS, Izzy, Filmbud, I seem to be having a problem with the art dept search option for instance 100 Rifles and the above Prince Valiant which, when entered, produce no results, yet covers are there when I look under the composers name?? Any clues guys?
@ sorei, @ AmorFati, @ Ms Boricua, @ BossEllis: I have been searching for The_Devil_Knows_You're_Dead one year I guess. The link in the spreadsheet only contained 4 tracks, Ms Boricua's link as well (thank you nevertheless). An official release doesn't exist (as far as I know), so a promo/complete/bootleg version is needed :)

Pretend I'm standing on the corner, sort of sad and bedraggled. I'm hovering over a tall tripod from which is suspended a dented kettle. I ring a small bell incessantly, annoyingly. It's that time and I am begging again.

That's a heckuva lotta posts up there, in a short space of time.
@ myrthuen - Megathanks for the Mandel trio, very much appreciated indeedy. About to have a mini Mandelthon :)
@ ruggo - Rocket ripped "Legal Eagles", was about to hook up a link but I see sorei has already done so. Thought I had "Honky Tonky Freeway", but its gone for a drive somewhere. Call 211! A few of those other Bernsteins remain unreleased. Crikey, "Leonard Part 6", what a turkey that film was!
@ ennioman - The search functions at the Artwork Dept are currently experiencing some problems. We suspect this is a blogger glitch, quite a few related postings at the Blogger Help Forum. Searches failed once before, and came good. In the meantime, please to use the composer labels.
@ boogiepop - Dude, I seriously admire your dedication and generosity!
Filling my own request, apparently the soundtrack to a TV series...
Thanks for out-rocketing rocket with Legal Eagles. Don't put your foot in your mouth unless you are going to change feet, otherwise use MY LEFT FOOT
@budarc
Thanks for SPIES LIKE US
Unfortunately 10 people had already downloaded THREE AMIGOS before I could get to it, so if someone else could reup it, I would appreciate it and will stop ringing the bell for a few minutes.
Muchas grazias, mi amigo. Now I can spend the rest of my weekend in Mr. Bernstein's 80's.
Don't know much about the 10-download limit thingy uh-uh! But the rapidshare error message was very specific and suggested the uploader transfer it to a different account (a conversation that was held to some length previously here).
I have a premium account (one of the luxuries I have allowed myself each year) and I don't have to transfer anything anywhere, with or without no stinking badges.
Does this mean it is out of print and this is a copy they got from wherever and are reselling it? Would that make this a SNS or just a regular share that can stay?
Size 11& 1/2 shoes. Usta' shoot marbles with my toes when I was a kid. Stopped wearing sandals to the movies because of people stepping into my toes. ;)
OOP anything stays JM's Enterprise. Loved your little tribute to Billy Mays...
"But where is the artwork you say? Right here!"
Intentional or not, made me laughter!
@ Filmpac - You ain't gonna get in on the foot action here wearing those "boots". ;)
@Ennioman: Question for you... I recently came across a rip you did of Woody Allen's "Bananas". Do you happen to have or know of a copy of "Take the Money and Run"? Marvin Hamlisch does a great arrangement of "Soul Bossa Nova" and I haven't found it anywhere. Ever. Thx!
momo17: "Sat 3" is an odd one, ain't it? I think it's up there with "Metal" too, but the disco always throws me for a loop! lol
@bistis6: Much thx for "Marie Ward"
@budarc and sorei: I'm probably overlapping a bit here, but thanks for "Legal Eagles" and "Spies Like Us".
@ Steven64 Hi Steven, well, at least someone has commented on Bananas! LOL As no one said a single word on the project I assumed it must have been a poor job (On my account) Nothing to do with 3410's excellent work of course...
But to answer your question regarding Take the money and Run
(BTW I love that movie..the jail breakout with the gun carved from soap..in the pouring rain..gets to the gates with just a handful of soap suds..piss funny)
Alas, I don't have any music from this film, Bananas Laserdisc was lucky enough to have an isolated Music track, so it was pretty simple to capture the music, I also have a Woody Allen compilation, but again no music appears from Take the Money and Run. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Quick question: I just received some cds in the mail, but won't be able to get them uploaded until tomorrow morning. I'm really excited about them and want to share them with you all ASAP, but I want to respect the SNS. Would you prefer me to wait til next SNS? They are from a certain wonderful label S*E and they are all great Golden Classics that have yet to be posted anywhere that I've seen! I will respect your decision either way!
With reference to the 10-download limit, I'm happy to update you with the news that the Stanley Black track I uploaded has now been downloaded 22 times and is still available.
A belated thanks also to NanM for his input on the subject. Sorry I left you out before.
To all who are using the free Rapidshare collectors account, please note: to avoid your upload being limited to a maximum of 10 downloads, DO NOT transfer the file to the collectors' account. If you refer to my previous posts on the subject on the 4th and 5th of July, you will see graphically what I mean.
This is my first ever attempt to create and share a DVD rip, and I have decided to burden this great site with it, so be gentle with me.
I recently received a 2-disc DVD boxset from Network of the 1974 6-episode ITC mini series called “The Zoo Gang” and noticed that during viewing the image gallery music from the series could be heard. So I ripped the audio from it (using DVD Shrink, VirtualDubMod and PX3 Convert) and edited out the gaps (using Audacity) to make a suite of sorts. It sounds like the music is from recording sessions because in a couple of the parts I edited out I could here the conductor’s voice at the end of a couple of the musical segments.
Anyway, here is the 11+ minute “suite”, which unfortunately does not contain the full theme that was composed by Paul McCartney, but the intro to it can be heard at the very beginning of this suite. I don’t know who composed the music but it sounds like Ken Thorne work to me....
Even though it’s a relatively “minor” rip I need to crawl before I can walk, and I would rather start with a smallish one than spend hours doing a large one and get poor results. Plus, the ripped music was clean from sounds or effects so it made it easy to extract. Still don’t quite know how to separate the soundtrack from a DVD without voices and effects.
I seek constructive criticism and advice of my modest effort, and if by judging from the end result that I am doing something wrong please direct me to a tutorial on ripping DVD audio/soundtracks.
@Ennioman: Thanks for getting back to me. Alas, I guess I'll just have to keep watching "Take the Money..." over and over. Favorite scene: Inadvertantly discussing the plan with the two cops in the diner. Classic! And your "Bananas" rip really was fun; found it purely by chance and saw your name on the artwork.
@All: I haven't previously weighed in on the 10-limit RS thing and I don't want to instigate a renewed discussion, but...
I have a free Collector's Account and have NEVER had a 10-download-limit error. Here's what I do when I'm uploading a file:
1) Go to RS and login to my Collector's Account before uploading anything.
2) Go to the "browse" button, select the file I want to upload and begin the upload.
3) When it's finished I scroll down to the uploaded file, cut/paste the URL and post it wherever.
No transferring of files, no nuthin'.
Maybe the glitch comes when a file is uploaded PRIOR to logging into the Collector's Account window.
Am I imagining things, or did someone post a lossless rip of the 50th anniversary version of Disney's Sleeping Beauty not too long ago If so, can you please repost?
@Isbum: Great timing with the alt. "Hitchhiker's" link; I'm downloading now. That's Henny Youngman, by the way. But I'm sure Rodney's happy to be thought of.
@Tlkjwe: Thanks for the advice. I'm on a Mac, but I'm gonna try WinRAR anyway just for the helluva it and see what happens. I'll letcha know...
@Clark: I still appreciate the gesture. It's a good excuse to learn something new. ;-)
Please go back and read my post of July 1 at 8:49 p.m. and then NanM's post of July 2 at 7.15 a.m.
You will see that if we do exactly as you described doing yourself, there won't be any glitch. There's no question of uploading files PRIOR to logging into the Collector's Account window.
Lillie Palmer, Barry Morse, & I think John Mills & Brian Keith. Happy times.
I understand what you did to get your suite....I have done exactly the same thing from the "Strange Report" Network DVD's from a few years ago, which I recenlty borrowed from my local library :).
As it was the theme to this series that brought me into posting at this wonderful place I could not help bit say thanks for the Zoo Gang bits. Even if its taken me ages to get that far (hehehe):)
.....So many nice peoples here, thansk for your GRANDIOSEEE sharing here, SNS, reqs, LP & many others...
@Ruggo, oh...Great..!!
Thanks for many of my Goldsmith requests, but where the links? Or maybe i'm blind man...
I saw only your message on "July 4, 2009 10:16 PM"...
Thanks a lot Ruggo!!!
Don't know how can i find them without you... ;)

@Steven64 - I use a program called WinAce Archiver to compress (and de-compress) most stuff. If it would be easier for everyone if I used WinRar, I could switch...
1/ the music heard during the roller-disco scene with Gene kelly in Xanadu (just before Olivie Newton-John Sings the title song at the end). Can't find it on any CD i know.
2/ the end credits track of Crap-O-Zoïdal movie The Hidden 2 (David McHugh, I think)
I have found that WinRar will uncompress just about anything. it will also compress in just about any format you wish (for instance if you with to Zip instead of Rar).
Some files appear to need joining together and those use HJ-Split which can be downloaded from:
www.freebyte.com/hjsplit
Other than that, the only other decompressor I find myself continually using is:
Medieval Cue Splitter v1.2
This is an excellent free tool for files that are provided in image format with a Cue file. It will break up the tracks for you.
@isbum & All: My pleasure. My goal is to make Asian scores more known to the people here because they friggin' deserve it ;-) While Hollywood is seriously jaded score-wise Asia is still at it's creative peak (ok, there is a trend towards a more hollywoodesque scoring style to make the movies more marketable worldwide but it's still kinda subtle). So expect more to come ;-)
@gremlin: I have One Missed Call, One Missed Call 2 and One Missed Call: Final. All three composed by Koji Endo.
@Ruggo: Well, I downloaded a beta version of WinRAR for Mac but couldn't seem to get it to play nice with the .ace files @Clark provided. My curiosity's piqued, so I'm still workin' on it, though...
I also downloaded Medieval Cue Splitter and attempted to "split" a cue I downloaded recently ("Roots") but, alas, had no luck. As there were no "Help" menus or instructions included with Medieval, I was kind've flying blind. I'm afraid my limited computer skills are becoming more and more evident!
I'm not as concerned with the WinRAR issue at this stage (Isbum kindly provided an alternate link in the nick o'time), but do you have any tips on using Cue Splitter? (I got as far as selecting an "audio-file" and "destination" but I was unable to select a "cue-file".)
As always, I appreciate your help with all of this. Welcome to "FranklyYES's Forum for Dummies"!
@ Steven64 - Southview212 (who is on a cruise ship) gave me the "Roots" Cd as issued on A&M. That is one record you don't want to split, "Medieval" it is to do so.
Oh, just re-read your post. Guess I gave you Southview's "Roots". Quinlan's copy had seen better days -(nice rip, though!) and the A&M was a Texas Chainsaw job. They should have re-mastered for the Cd version. It could have been a lot less jarring.
@Isbum: "Texas Chainsaw job" I love it! The version I got from you sounds pretty good, though. At least, it's probably a heckuva lot better than my vinyl which is probably in about the same shape as Quinlan's.
I was just trying to split it up as a (failed) experiment.
You have to make sure that you drag BOTH the image file and the Cue file (You NEED both)into the Cue Splitter box. Then when you click on "split" it will ask you where you want the files placed.
@ isbum - Southview has returned from the Bahamas. The wife and I had a wonderful time. No, I didn't get a chance to listen to any scores for three full days, but I did spend all the money I was saving for new score issues....oh well, it was worth it.
I just downloaded Clark's Detective .ace file and unpacked it very nicely using WinRar 3.51. But then, I'm using a PC. Maybe Macs don't play nice with .aces.
@Ruggo: Thanks for the tips on Cue Splitter. I'll play around with it. Unfortunately, still no luck with WinRAR. I also had a problem with "Frantic". The files ended with .zip.001 and neither StuffIt Expander nor WinRAR could do anything other than give me an error. I haven't had problems in the past so I'm thinking these might just be isolated incidences. Either way, you've spent more than enough time trying to help me. Thank you so much.
@gururoo: I'm going to download XLD and may even try to use it at some point when my brain's not as fried. Thanks for the heads-up.
Can I also second Scoremanscott's Ride Vaquero/The Outriders (F$^^) Fastest Gun Alive/House of Numbers (F$^^) Sex and the Single Girl/The Chapman Report (F$^^) Hotel/Kaleidoscope (F$^^)
(Seems like we are after some of the same stuff Bud!) Nice shares btw.
R E Q U E S T NOW, All this Goldsmith talk...
Don't know if this is old news to everyone here, but I have only just discovered that there is an Isolated Goldsmith Score on the Blu Ray DVD of Escape from the Planet of the Apes !! Now please, if I have missed this at some point, please, someone, anyone... lead me to some sort of Link! :-) I love this score...and of course, it has never had any real sort of release other than the suite that was issued.. Who here is our resident Blu ray ripper????
Mega Thanks in advance to anyone who can come up with this gem!
@Southview Thanks for the Capt. Courageous Post Request-Bernard Herrmann Film Scores Vol. 2 Soundtrack Factory/Disconforme SFCD 33561 Rebecca/THE 39 STEPS (1935)/SABOTAGE(1936)/YOUNG AND INNOCENT(1937)
I should have several new posts up next week in the Master Cylinder Forum.
Save 2 parts (001.zip & 002.zip) on your desktop, It's a win.rar zip. You have to use hjsplit to join' and see all the archive.
Simply program...All You have to do is:
1-Download all the 2 parts from RapidShare; 2-Go here: http://hjsplit.en.softonic.com/ and free download the program; 3-Open the hjsplit.zip file (don't extract nothing, it doen't cares) 4-Double click on hjsplit.exe; 5-Follow the english instructions! Click on "Join", "input file", the program takes all 2 files, click on "Start"... 6-Wait patiently, now you have a win.rar file with full archive. 7.Extract & that's APE.CUe Lossless with Covers!
I really must finish off "The Strange Report" 'suites' & get them uploaded.
Did you know there are 3 disc sets for "The Champions" & "Department s" whose links are one here. Might save you some time, with 2 less sets to examine.
Also from the same stable (N£twork), is the 3 disc Randell & Hopkirk (Deceased). Links to these also on here, if thats up your street.
A quick thanks to all uploaders. This weekend my inbox has been overflowing with your gereosity - seemingly something for all tastes.
RE: Devils knows & Before night @All, sorry for the confusion, my links only had 4 tracks from his site.
@Isbum, I also took Enduring love... thx!
@Sexy, come again? Wth?!?!
I 3rd or maybe 4th by now :P, The bootleg version of the Devil Knows. I saw it a while back, but the link was expired. It was a dvd rip version. I know is out there. It probably surface (is that the right word?) when you least expect it, like TMNT promo score.
I would like to 2nd the request for Before Night Falls OST (2001).
And last but not least, just found out that there's a promo score for the movie 17 by Rolfe Kent... does anyone have it?
Forgot... anyone has a bootleg of the Joan of Arc mini series (www.imdb.com/title/tt0178145), composed by Asher Ettinger?
I emailed him, but I got the same answer that I've been getting from all composers... "I'm glad you liked the music and asked about the score, but we don't have the right to distribute the music, blah, blah, blah". Well, atleast he replied and sent me the opening theme. So any help is very much appreciated!
In case anyone wants...
Joan Of Arc (Opening Theme) by Asher Ettinger & Tony Kosinec (1999) @256 http://www.mediafire.com/?nxqw1mwtezy
A bit off topic.... Anyone who likes to build their own score artwork (or anything else), here's about 4000 fonts the may make things more interesting.
You miss a few days coming here and everything under the sun gets posted. I have alot of catching up to do. First a lot of thank yous.

Thank all of you very much and I am sorry it took so long for me to post.
Big thanks for the lovely opening theme for Joan of Arc by Asher Ettinger & Tony Kosinec. Not only do I have have to find the whole thing, but I'd love to use this cue on a compilation I'm working on called HEAVENLY HOLLYWOOD : The Spiritual Side Of The Movies.
I offer you a far easier and simpler way to extract those .001.zip files: Go download 7-Zip. http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
It’s freeware.
It helps extract these types of files. Once it is installed, all you have to do is right click on the first folder, and you'll see 7-zip in the choices- click on it and click extract- it will extract it without any problems. You don't even need a joiner- it joins it for you. 7-Zip is what I use to extract files like this, and I've never had any trouble with them.
@Clark, thx for your shares, but looks like I'm too late (already d/led 10 times)... can you let me know when The Detective, Ride Vaquero & The Outriders become available again? Or if anyone cares to re-upload them, that would be awesome too!
Thanks.
This is the error.... -------------------------------- This file is neither allocated to a Premium Account, or a Collector's Account, and can therefore only be downloaded 10 times.
This limit is reached.
To download this file, the uploader either needs to transfer this file into his/her Collector's Account, or upload the file again. The file can later be moved to a Collector's Account. The uploader just needs to click the delete link of the file to get further information. ----------------------------------
@Ms Boricua... I need to upgrade to a Premium Account, I guess... I'm about to head out the door, but I'll try to re-up them late tonight if no one else does.
A Horner compilation album from S0nic. Its title implies that it is Titanic music when in reality only one of the thirteen selections is Titanic. Selections are suites and title tracks to pre-1998 films. Sounds great; a must-have if needing more Horner. I think S0nic licensed from Prague, MGM, Cincinnati, maybe other sources too. Not sure. Hey guys, just looking for the soundtrack album to 1997's The Apostle, directed by Robert Duvall. I thought I had it but apparently I was mistaken, if anyone has access and is willing to share, I'd sure appreciate the assist.
I just uploaded a cpl scores by Clint Mansell for somebody, but here you go too.... Knockaround Guys (Promo Score)(2001) @192 - 12 tracks, no names. http://rapidshare.com/files/255902158/Knockaround_Guys_-_Clint_Mansell_2001.zip

I assume you mean FRED Karlin and NOT George.
George was a comedian and Fred is the composer.
Unfortunately, both are no longer with us.
Speaking of Fred Karlin, don't miss this composer promo Tony posted at his I Love My Turntable:

Currently his top post there.
To finish up the 1970's, we have posted over at Ruggo and Jean's Fine House Of Compilations the final two volumes of that decade. A plea for help with certain scores and/or tracks from the 1980's will be issued soon. In the meantime:

Hello all,
Leith Stevens' score for The James Dean Story from 1957 is the newest item over at the Big 10-Inch Record. Ripped from vinyl, of course!
http://big10inchrecord.blogspot.com/
Finally caught up with the latest Nicholas Cage conglomeration of chaos today: "KNOWING" on Blu Ray.
Score by Marco Beltrami is worth the price of admission (or rental)!
Forgive my naivete, but what does SNS stand for? What is it?
@ Jeffrey - We allow new releases to be posted here for the weekend only.
The "Saturday Night Special" links are removed on Monday.
@Ms Boricua: the posting of those 2 Burwell scores is wonderful of you to do: both are difficult to find and there's been a lot of interest from a number of us. I'm a huge admirer of Burwell's so I'm looking forward to listening to them both. What you've done is much... Thanks!
@ MaD Thanks....you really made my day!
@ isbum
We could perhaps open a new "shop".
We'd call it "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About FranklyYes But Were Afraid To Ask" (with apologies to Woody Allen).
I'm sure a lot of new visitors come here and are perplexed, but few of them actually venture to ask about things like our SNS...
Would anyone happen to have a working link to Jerry Goldsmith's score from "Breakout"?
Thanks!
Whoops and also "Breakheart Pass"?
sorry for being greedy thanks!
@Myrthuen...many thanks for JM triple...p'raps you might wish to disguise the label F*M in case ;)
@Steven64...many thanks for the JW.
@Skyrider:
Well, you caught one 'break' at least:
"Breakheart Pass" Note: When you unzip this it'll say it's @320, but it's actually @224.

@filmpac

@Isbum:
I need a ruling on something. Screen Archives has this CD for sale for nearly fifty bucks. The first letters of the label are oopfsm
http://www.screenarchives.com/title_detail.cfm?ID=1149
Does this mean it is out of print and this is a copy they got from wherever and are reselling it? Would that make this a SNS or just a regular share that can stay?
Happy Weekend!
@ JM
Many thanks Bud, appreciate it! :-)
Not to step in Izzy's toes, but I think if a CD is out of print it no longer counts as a SNS, but I'll await HMV ;-)
Thanks again JM
Ennioman
'The Stripper / Nick Quarry', are coming up.

@Ennioman:
Question for you...
I recently came across a rip you did of Woody Allen's "Bananas". Do you happen to have or know of a copy of "Take the Money and Run"? Marvin Hamlisch does a great arrangement of "Soul Bossa Nova" and I haven't found it anywhere. Ever. Thx!
momo17:
"Sat 3" is an odd one, ain't it? I think it's up there with "Metal" too, but the disco always throws me for a loop! lol
@bistis6:
Much thx for "Marie Ward"
@budarc and sorei:
I'm probably overlapping a bit here, but thanks for "Legal Eagles" and "Spies Like Us".
Thanks to all for the Elmer Love-fest! ;-)
@ Steven64
Hi Steven, well, at least someone has commented on Bananas!
Ennioman
A last minute SNS request - Dr@cul@ @D 1972. Many, many, many thanks in advance!
@isbum,
Quick question: I just received some cds in the mail, but won't be able to get them uploaded until tomorrow morning. I'm really excited about them and want to share them with you all ASAP, but I want to respect the SNS. Would you prefer me to wait til next SNS? They are from a certain wonderful label S*E and they are all great Golden Classics that have yet to be posted anywhere that I've seen! I will respect your decision either way!
thanks!
@ filmpac
With reference to the 10-download limit, I'm happy to update you with the news that the Stanley Black track I uploaded has now been downloaded 22 times and is still available.
A belated thanks also to NanM for his input on the subject. Sorry I left you out before.
To all who are using the free Rapidshare collectors account, please note: to avoid your upload being limited to a maximum of 10 downloads, DO NOT transfer the file to the collectors' account. If you refer to my previous posts on the subject on the 4th and 5th of July, you will see graphically what I mean.
Hi all…
This is my first ever attempt to create and share a DVD rip, and I have decided to burden this great site with it, so be gentle with me.
I don’t know who composed the music but it sounds like Ken Thorne work to me....
http://rapidshare.com/files/254781189/The_Zoo_Gang_Suite.wav
Even though it’s a relatively “minor” rip I need to crawl before I can walk, and I would rather start with a smallish one than spend hours doing a large one and get poor results. Plus, the ripped music was clean from sounds or effects so it made it easy to extract. Still don’t quite know how to separate the soundtrack from a DVD without voices and effects.
I seek constructive criticism and advice of my modest effort, and if by judging from the end result that I am doing something wrong please direct me to a tutorial on ripping DVD audio/soundtracks.
Cheers.
@Ennioman:
Thanks for getting back to me. Alas, I guess I'll just have to keep watching "Take the Money..." over and over. Favorite scene: Inadvertantly discussing the plan with the two cops in the diner. Classic! And your "Bananas" rip really was fun; found it purely by chance and saw your name on the artwork.
@All:
I haven't previously weighed in on the 10-limit RS thing and I don't want to instigate a renewed discussion, but...
Hope this helps...somebody. ;-)
@ scoremanscott - Make my Sunday. :)
They'll go Tuesday evening.
Throwing a request out here:
"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" by Joby Talbot.
Thx in advance to anyone who can help!
Am I imagining things, or did someone post a lossless rip of the 50th anniversary version of Disney's Sleeping Beauty not too long ago If so, can you please repost?
@isbum
Sweeeet!!!
Here's Hitchhiker's Guide...

Part 2:
http://rapidshare.com/files/254808241/THGTTG_Part_2.ace.html
New to this place, just wanted to drop by and say hello! I'm a bit film music fan, and I'm looking forward to helping people find some cool stuff!
@Clark:
Thank you so much for "Hitchhiker's Guide...".
And welcome!
Steven
@ Clark - Ahaha! You picked-up the Hitchhiker before me.
Ok:) Here's another link just because I hate seeing them in my account sitting at 0.
http://rapidshare.com/files/254824096/JT_Guide2TheGalaxy.zip
@Clark:
I seem to be having trouble opening the files you posted for "Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy". I'm not familiar with a .ace file.
Can you (or anybody else) advise me how to open or "unstuff" it?
In the meantime I'll keep tryin'...
Thx all
@ filmpac:
Thanks for The Mancini Generation!
@ Steven64:
There many programs that can handle with ACE files, I suggest the popular program called WinRAR.
Let me know if it works :)
@ Steven64 - Take a ride on my link.
I'm like Rodney Dangerfield.
"Take my link, please!" ;)
Hi Clark & welcome to our home!
You're aces to me!
Plenty of lossless fan's here too.
Of course, if .ace isn't lossless I just exposed myself (no peeking sorie!) for being a dummy about this stuff.
@Isbum:
Great timing with the alt. "Hitchhiker's" link; I'm downloading now. That's Henny Youngman, by the way. But I'm sure Rodney's happy to be thought of.
@Tlkjwe:
Thanks for the advice. I'm on a Mac, but I'm gonna try WinRAR anyway just for the helluva it and see what happens. I'll letcha know...
@Clark:
I still appreciate the gesture. It's a good excuse to learn something new. ;-)
@ Steven64
Please go back and read my post of July 1 at 8:49 p.m. and then NanM's post of July 2 at 7.15 a.m.
You will see that if we do exactly as you described doing yourself, there won't be any glitch. There's no question of uploading files PRIOR to logging into the Collector's Account window.
Oh yea, Henny!
OST Troll started it with George Karlin. :))
@chiops
"The Zoo Gang" :) Now that does make me feel old,
Lillie Palmer, Barry Morse, & I think John Mills & Brian Keith.
Robert
@mel:
So THAT'S why I was feeling a little deja-vu-ish as I typed all that earlier! Sorry for the re-hash. ;-)
@ All,

@Steven64 - I use a program called WinAce Archiver to compress (and de-compress) most stuff. If it would be easier for everyone if I used WinRar, I could switch...
Odd requests of the day : I'm looking for :
1/ the music heard during the roller-disco scene with Gene kelly in Xanadu (just before Olivie Newton-John Sings the title song at the end). Can't find it on any CD i know.
2/ the end credits track of Crap-O-Zoïdal movie The Hidden 2 (David McHugh, I think)
Thanks!
@ Isbum
Consider this fool pitied. Thanks to you and 7 Black Notes for their assist.

This is a copy of Mad Monster Party that I posted back in May. Should be @ 320.

@Steven64
@ Ruggo,
Wow, great fest, mega-post, thanks again!
Still looking for:
- The Edge (Expanded) 16 tracks
- S*P*Y*S (1974)
- The Detective (1968)

@isbum & All:
My pleasure. So expect more to come ;-)
@gremlin:
I have One Missed Call, One Missed Call 2 and One Missed Call: Final. All three composed by Koji Endo.

@Ruggo:
Well, I downloaded a beta version of WinRAR for Mac but couldn't seem to get it to play nice with the .ace files @Clark provided.
@ Ruggo - The decompressor I find myself continually using is Ben & Jerry's Mint Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream and Mrs. Smith's Deep Dish Apple Pie.
@ scoremanscott - Um, where did you go? It's Sunday now. :)
Hahahah! Figures that I'd ask while you were posting!
Thanks scoremanscott!
@isbum,
sorry about that... uploading six scores takes FOREVER!!
@sorei:
I definitely have A Chinese Ghost Story, not sure about Part 2 and 3. I'll check that.
@Isbum:
"Texas Chainsaw job" I love it! The version I got from you sounds pretty good, though. At least, it's probably a heckuva lot better than my vinyl which is probably in about the same shape as Quinlan's.
I was just trying to split it up as a (failed) experiment.
Back to the drawing board...
@boogiepop
everything you have is more than welcome!!
:-))
@isbum
Come to think of it, quite partial to B&R Peanutbutter and Chocolate. Who says you have to stop growing (at least the waistline) with age?
@sorei
Keep talking like that and you're going to wake up one morning with boggiepop camped on your doorstep!
@Stephen64
Re: Cue Splitter
You have to make sure that you drag BOTH the image file and the Cue file (You NEED both)into the Cue Splitter box. Then when you click on "split" it will ask you where you want the files placed.
@ruggo
I heard you alright, I'll have to consider the risks ;-)
@ isbum - Southview has returned from the Bahamas. The wife and I had a wonderful time.
No, I didn't get a chance to listen to any scores for three full days, but I did spend all the money I was saving for new score issues....oh well, it was worth it.
Anybody have the theme from the television series Vega$ by Dominic Frontiere?
@Stephen64
I just downloaded Clark's Detective .ace file and unpacked it very nicely using WinRar 3.51. But then, I'm using a PC. Maybe Macs don't play nice with .aces.
@Stephen64
Download XLD to split lossless files using a cue file.

@ Robert.
Thanks for your kind (and nostalgic) words.
You have got me thinking about boxsets of other late 60s-early 70s British TV shows I have that I may be able to glean music from as well.
I will need to review The Saint, The Champions, Department S & Jason King now. ;)
Cheers.
@Ruggo:
Thanks for the tips on Cue Splitter.
@gururoo:
I'm going to download XLD and may even try to use it at some point when my brain's not as fried. Thanks for the heads-up.
hi
does somebody have "stanley and iris" by john williams
Please, can you upload again?

@Steven,
RE:Frantic,
Save 2 parts (001.zip & 002.zip) on your desktop, It's a win.rar zip.
You have to use hjsplit to join' and see all the archive.
Simply program...All You have to do is:
1-Download all the 2 parts from RapidShare;
2-Go here: http://hjsplit.en.softonic.com/ and free download the program;
3-Open the hjsplit.zip file (don't extract nothing, it doen't cares)
4-Double click on hjsplit.exe;
5-Follow the english instructions! Click on "Join", "input file", the program takes all 2 files, click on "Start"...
6-Wait patiently, now you have a win.rar file with full archive.
7.Extract & that's APE.CUe Lossless with Covers!
Enjoy!

RE: Devils knows & Before night
@All, sorry for the confusion, my links only had 4 tracks from his site.
@Isbum, I also took Enduring love... thx!
@Sexy, come again? Wth?!?!
Thx in advance!
Forgot... anyone has a bootleg of the Joan of Arc mini series (www.imdb.com/title/tt0178145), composed by Asher Ettinger?
I emailed him, but I got the same answer that I've been getting from all composers... "I'm glad you liked the music and asked about the score, but we don't have the right to distribute the music, blah, blah, blah". Well, atleast he replied and sent me the opening theme. So any help is very much appreciated!
In case anyone wants...

Ms.Boricua
Big thanks for the lovely opening theme for Joan of Arc by Asher Ettinger & Tony Kosinec. Not only do I have have to find the whole thing, but I'd love to use this cue on a compilation I'm working on called HEAVENLY HOLLYWOOD : The Spiritual Side Of The Movies.
@ Steven64
I offer you a far easier and simpler way to extract those .001.zip files:
Go download 7-Zip.
http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
It’s freeware.
It helps extract these types of files. Once it is installed, all you have to do is right click on the first folder, and you'll see 7-zip in the choices- click on it and click extract- it will extract it without any problems. You don't even need a joiner- it joins it for you. 7-Zip is what I use to extract files like this, and I've never had any trouble with them.
@Southview - I'm downloading those fonts as I type :)
Always on the lookout for interesting additions to my sometimes too long font list :)
@Clark
Thanks so much for Ride Vaquero and Outriders!
@Clark, thx for your shares, but looks like I'm too late (already d/led 10 times)... can you let me know when The Detective, Ride Vaquero & The Outriders become available again? Or if anyone cares to re-upload them, that would be awesome too!
Thanks.
This is the error....

This file is neither allocated to a Premium Account, or a Collector's Account, and can therefore only be downloaded 10 times.

@Ms Boricua... I need to upgrade to a Premium Account, I guess... I'm about to head out the door, but I'll try to re-up them late tonight if no one else does.

Thanks, I enjoy all about john williams, this a rare OST from him, thank again!!
@ isbum
Thanks again for Honky Tonk Freeway.
Not sure.
