The Trial of Billy Jack (@320-LP rip) To the best of my memory, isbum shared this a while back. Thank you isbum, or if not him the original uploader. http://www.sendspace.com/file/ips42w <--
A couple of requests please
Where Eagles Dare/Operation Crossbow (F@M @320)
This is probably the wrong place to request these but don't really know any other place. These are the LPs, don't know if they were every released on CD or not.
Terraform - Randy Van Warmer (Bearsville BRK 6998) Beat of Love - Randy Van Warmer (Bearsville BRK 3561) Rita Coolidge - Rita Coolidge (A&M SP 4291)
Please post the list of Elmer Bernstein- tracks again which you need for your 70s compilation!
One thing: It would be great if you could choose always the best two or three tracks from a soundtrack for one CD and not 6,7 or ten. Your last discs of the celebration were very disappointing because there were always two much tracks from one score. Nearly the same as putting the whole soundtrack on one disc forn the Bernstein chronicles :-( In Vol. 12 for example, there are tracks from just 3 scores. Quite boring.
EXTREME PREJUDICE-LALALAND EXP EDITION Sorry for reposting but this got lost right at the end of last month's page..respectfully asking if anyone has a link or a download to this score. Was fortunate to get art from The Artwork Department and am hoping the music may be close by...thanking anyone in advance....
I've run across a few blogs that use the "zipx" format for files. Any Mac heads out there know of a way to open them? The native OS X archive utility won't work, stuffit won't work, The Unarchiver won't work.
It is the one format I can't open and it's driving me (a little) nuts.
Re Barry Gray's "International Concerto".....part of the music for Joe 90, link to which might be available in previous posts (or not)...If you still have trouble getting it, I can upload just that track to Rapidothing ;/ in a day or so.
1. Select a zip file in Finder 2. Choose File > Get Info 3. In the "Open with" section choose BOMArchiveHelper. If it's not in the list choose "Other" and find BOMArchiveHelper at the path mentioned above. (/System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchivehelper) 4. Click the "Change All..." button
Sorry some of the Bernstein is boring to you. It isn't wearisome to me or I would not have included it in the compilation.
Your suggestion that I select just two or three tracks from each film may be perfectly valid for a perfunctory sampling of the man's work, however 1)I am trying to provide a more in-depth overview of the composers efforts and 2) I am definitely not qualified to determine which might be the most representative cues. Therefore, I select the ones which I personally find most appealing. Unfortunately for you, I find much of what he writes appealing.
That being said, I am still missing anything from the following projects. Should you wish to submit your favorite tracks or put the entire soundtrack at my mercy, your offerings would be most welcome.
The Great Santini (1979) Bloodbrothers (1978) Billy Jack Goes To Washington (1977) Powers Of Ten (1977) The Old Curiosity Shop (1975) Nightmare Honeymoon (1973) The Amazing Mr. Blunden (1972) SX-70 (1972) Blind Terror (1971) The magnificent Seven Ride (1972) Doctor's' Wives (1971) The Tell-Tale heart (1971) A Walk In The Spring Rain (1970)
Thank you for your time and having enough interest to download and listen to the Chronicles. Even if it generates a negative comment, that is better than no comment and is much appreciated.
I know there are some Australians here, right? ;) So... could you please upload (for SNS) the score for Mary and Max by Dale Cornelius? Thx in advance!
@ Adware - Now that you ask, what is this all about? - "I have some requests but I dont know why? Why doesn't anyone talk to me? Did you swallow your tongue? Shame, but I dont want anybody to bother.I just want to be friends And occasionally I want something that is what a few men have died Do you do it theft"
Are you feeling ignored/sad?
I can tell you only that the (porn?) soundtracks you requested are some I've never heard of. Sorry.
Anyone know of a link for The Film Music of Ralph Vaughan Williams, Vol. 2 and 3? These are on the Chandos label. The links for Vol. 2 seem to be dead. Haven't seen for Vol. 3. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hi everybody: I'm looking for Sir William Walton's Film Music, Vol. 3 which includes his music for Olivier's Henry V re-recorded by Neville Marriner conducting the Academy of St Martin in The Fields. If anybody knows a link or is willing to share it, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanx!
-Robin and Marian(Prometheus) -North and South II (4 CDs) -Infinity(Broughton) -One tough cop(Broughton) -Dinner with friends(Grusin) -Ride the Vaquero/The outriders(FSM)
Don't get me wrong, Bernstein is one of my favourite composers and I love nearly all of his scores. But when you put a selection of just 3 scores on a disc, I could also listen to the original albums which makes your CDs kind of useless :-) Nevertheless I hope you continue to make the chronicle 'cause I always wanted to do a big Bernstein Best Of and I don't have so much work now. Thanks! :-)
Unfortunately I just have THE GREAT SANTINI from your list. Here it is: http://rapidshare.com/files/250825126/The_Great_Santini-_Elmer_Bernstein.mp3.html
@ALL Happy July dear friends. Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of weeks, been very busy.. And will be for the next week or so.
But I thought I would hand this over to mark the start of July. A NEW PROJECT I was going through some old cdr's a few weeks back and discovered an old disc with loads of scribbled down tracks on the inlay card, it actually turned out to be an old rip from an Isolated Laserdisc of mine from many many years ago. After inspecting it throughout I thought there was enough material to put a pretty good CD together, I scrapped a few tracks that I didn't think were up to par, but I think the overall result was good enough. To this day I'm pretty sure it has never been released as a soundtrack, which made it all the more special to re-visit and to work on. I must also give special thanks to the wonderful 3410 who again took on the project with me, twiddled the right knobs, pushed all the right buttons and as a result, made the music sound a whole lot better. Cheers Bud.
I have also designed some custom artwork for this project which is also included within the file, all tracks @320 and fully tagged.
So my friends, for your pleasure: Bananas (Unreleased score) 1971 Marvin Hamlisch
I have also included some wonderful clips from the movie which, IMHO, do not distract at all from the music, Woody may not be to everyone's taste I know, but for me, his early 70's material was just piss funny..
Anyway, hope you enjoy and I hope to be with you all again soon.
@ Ruggo - I don't have this (and I don't know why) but Filmpac found the Main Title track for "Bloodbrothers" 1978. If you get his attention, he will probably give it to you.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help to you and Jean right now, but I'm immersed in a project of my own. I hate being selfish with my time, but this has been on the back burner forever.
@Ruggo...you simply can't please everyone ;) A tremendous effort my friend and many thanks for all your hard work, scholarship and continuing generosity. Both you and the omnipresent Jean have contributed a series of magnificent compilations. I,for one, am very gratefull.
@ Ruggo I haven't had the joy of downloading this fantastic project as yet, but I know it will be magnificent, I can't wait to hear it, well down my friend!

If anyone could help with these, I would really be grateful :) Thanks in Advance!
PS...
Has anyone read or know if Film Sc@re Monthly, Intr@da, or V@rèse will be doing a Special release of Jerry Goldsmith's "OUTLAND"? This would be an awesome release, as there were some cues that were not included on the original LP and CD releases Leisure Club Scene 1 & 2, for instance.
I mention this due to the fact FLM SCR MNTLY did a nice job with the expanded TZ The Movie score , so it would seem only fitting if the same TLC was done with OUTLAND.
@Ost Troll - Thank you for the Eagles/Crossbow link. Would you re-up it, it is a dead link?
@fpalafox - Here is your Walton HENRY V request. This is the Chandos digital reissue of the of the original. Not my rip, much thanks to the original uploader. http://www.sendspace.com/file/j7p0ln <--
@Jim - I will post the Vaughan-Williams Vol. 2 & 3 for you later this evening.
@Robert Thank you for the offer, but I believe there has been a misunderstanding. I am looking for the album International Concerto, 20 tracks, over 70min, released by Fanderson in 2006. It is another compilation album.
i: So, below that part of the screen their is a "browse" button , so you click on the file you want to upload from there...correct?
m: Absolutely correct.
i: When it's finished uploading, you would have to scroll to the bottom of the page (or pages 2, 3 ect.) to see the link and file name of what you uploaded... correct?
m: Again, absolutely correct.
i: Where do you move them to & why?
m: After receiving the link, you are given the choice of transferring it to the Collector Account - see screen shot. When this was allowed, this enabled the link, (I am a free user), to be downloaded more than 10 times. Now I will try doing this and you will see what happens:
@ Mel - I am a free user and have never used the "transfer to ---" option. I've never had anybody tell me that my link has reached the 10 downloads - most of my uploads are well above 10.
But then I don't check my points to see if Rapidshare is bleeding out 500 points every time I upload something. Would think they would notify me if they were doing that!
@ mel - May I suggest, purely as an experiment to please a couple of old farts in me and Isbum, that you upload something and DO NOT transfer it afterwards. We do not dispute that you are seeing a message after transferring, we are merely stating that this step is not necessary. Neither Isbum nor myself have ever had to transfer a file anywhere! So far, we are yet to hear back from LuckyMike about him exceeding the 10 download limit. It is my considered opinion that you have ALWAYS transferred said file after the upload completes, but it is in fact NOT necessary. Please mate, just try it.
@ ruggo - Sorry mate, I haven't been paying attention. I can do you "Walk In The Spring Rain" complete, plus a few tracks from a couple of other titles, including "Bloodbrothers". Will have to be later on tonight though.
Hey sorry I've been out of touch, I've been pretty busy. By sheer coincidence I decided to pop in tonight and catch up, only to find you mentioning me in the very most recent post!
To reply, you may recall that I uploaded my last share (Missi@n To Mars) as a test for the "non transfer method." So, upon receiving my link I did nothing but post it in this forum. I did not, repeat not, transfer it. I was clearly logged in at the time. As predicted, the file was quickly downloaded 10 times, then not once more. I haven't received any requests to re-up, but I think anyone who received the message that my "download limit was reached" knew why, and didn't bother to ask me. If you'd like to try yourself, here's the link once more, still "untransferred". I think I know what will result! :)
So sadly, filmpac, it seems this issue isn't going away. I'll worry about it more another evening though, off to bed now. Thanks for all your concern with this issue. I have a feeling we'll all be seeing more of it.
@ luckymike - Got news for you. As John James just said, that Mission Mars link is STILL working. Yep, absolutely, no doubt about it. Which almost certainly explains why nobody has complained about it :P
I'd just like to weigh in on your Bernstein Chronicles once again. I've already praised the remarkable effort and dedication you've poured into your project, celebrating a composer you love. And then sharing it with everyone.
I'm writing a second time, to...umm.. emphasize the "your" and the "sharing".
IMO, (not that anyone asked), but anyone who puts the time and love and passion into something like Ruggo's done can put it out there any way they like. It's not called sharing for nothing. I didn't create this community, but I really like (and appreciate) the guys that have brought this to us. So if they're too nice to say it, I'm not. This "sharing" business isn't order filling. If you don't like what someone shared, whether it's the bitrate, the selections on a compilation, the surface noise on track three or whatever...um...don't download it. Or better yet, go buy it. If someone shares a compilation and says "gee everybody, I'd love your feedback, good or bad" it still seems a little squirrely to start critiquing something you grabbed for free, and rarely with a thank you. Reminds me of Woody's joke at the beginning of Annie Hall. "The food here is TERRIBLE." "Yeah I know...and such SMALL portions!"
What awesome news! A little hard to believe, since every other time I didn't transfer, I'd start getting emails from people saying they've got that "maximum download" callout, and begging me to move the link to my premium account. Well, no matter. I'm just thrilled the link is still active to prove that my transfer (and point-bleeding) days are over. Hopefully!
But...isn't it odd, just a weird coincidence, I guess, that "Mission" downloaded 10 consecutive times a week ago, then not once till you just tried. I wonder if you get some sorta 10 times a day limit, if you don't transfer? The hell with it, I don't EVEN want to open that can of worms! :)
OK, I wasn't going to weigh into this discussion, purely because I felt it would end up badly. But the simple truth of the matter is that I concur whole-heartedly with what Luckymike just said. Ruggo puts an enormous amount of effort into his compilations, and if you don't like them, well, tough cookies. Most people are hard pressed to pick just ONE track to go on a compilation, as the new Frankly project will doubtless sadly once again prove.
@ luckymike - I just knew we were heading into crossed convo territory here, so I typed this up in advance of your response to my response. Can only suggest you attempt to download your upload to confirm what both me & JJ are seeing. I hope we can now lay this matter to rest. Mel?
As Sherlock Holmes once so famously said...
"Once you eliminate the impossible, the improbable, no matter how unlikely, must be the truth."
I'm glad you get me, inasmuch as how I chose to jump to Ruggo's "defense." Totally don't want to ignite a feud. Just think some things need said to keep a forum like this as cordial as it is 99% of the time.
As to the RS thing, unless there's a new wrinkle that would benefit the community at large to discuss, consider my case closed (can't speak for Mel). Thanks once more for helping us troubleshoot.
While I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for an upload to finish. Somebody requested this last month, and to be honest I'm not sure if it got filled or not. Shoot me, it was a hectic month...
Hey folks - All this recent talk of UFO and it occurred to me - does anyone have Hans Zimmer's score to the "Thunderbirds" movie? (It's out of print as, unfortunately, the film probably should be. lol)
@luckymike et. al.: I guess better late than never, but hear, hear! Your comments about Ruggo's efforts were well stated and I concur wholeheartedly. 'Nuff said.
@Ruggo: I admire your restraint and decorum. And I LOVE your compilations! You just keep on keepin' on.
(Sorry if this posted twice; had some minor tech difficulties...)

Totally unconnected with any soundtrack I know of, (though you could link to "Reach For The Sky" -the story of Douglas Bader, & "The Colditz Story"- he was captive their after being shot down)...
I uploaded a CD rip for some friends that covers in a sound 'picture', the first 50 years of the Royal Air Force, (recorded 1968). Runs for about 50 mins I recall. It is narrated by Douglas Bader. hence comments about Reach for the Sky !!
I don't know of any plans to remaster Outland by Jerry Goldsmith, but would love to see it happen. Outland has some of JG's most propulsive in your face action music ever. I haven't seen the movie in years so I don't know how much unreleased music there is, but would gladly give it a spin. I think it will happen someday, just a matter of time.
I'm very glad that the economy hasn't as yet slowed down the release of older scores in improved form. I figured in tough times, soundtracks would be the first ones to be cancelled by the labels. Except for the occasional Star Wars and Titanic, our favorite kind of music rarely makes any big profit.

As Sherlock Holmes once so famously said...

At this point, I presume you all have a Collectors Zone account (which is free), where you login at: rapidshare.com -> Free Zone -> Collector's Zone Login, and you can see your account profile which looks like this: Image 1
To upload a file without download limits, you need to upload under, and only under, your Collectors Zone account. After you finished the upload, you see your link to the file listed in your Collectors Zone list of links. Image 2
Whatever you do, don't click where it says: Transfer to Premium Account | Transfer to Collector Account | Delete You just need to copy/paste the generated link that rapidshare created for the file.
We finish up the productive decade of the 60's for Elmer Bernstein with some interesting music, taking special note of the cues from "Where's Jack," an amazing, but little-known score.
Just posted over at Ruggo's and Jean's House Of Fine Compilations:

@ mel - Please read closely what NanM said above and follow the steps. As a final experiment, I still suggest that you try to upload a file (a small text file), then download it yourself. Repeateadly. You will soon discover if it exceeds the 10 download limit or not. Then and only then is it case closed mate :)
@ Robert - Yowzer, nice shares. Reason for the "don't click where it says Transfer" is because this triggers the problem of Rapidshare deducting points for the transfer. No bugs, trojans, viruses, just a pain.
@ JM's Enterprise - LMAO @ the Spock crack, it does sound like something he would say.
@ ruggo - A complete Bernstein album, and a wee package contains tracks from 3 titles on your list, taken from the Unheard Melodies series directly ripped from the movie. The rest I can find nothing on.
Big, big thanks. Will be working on wrapping up Bernstein 70's this weekend now that it's about as complete as it's going to get. Poor Jean must be going crazy looking for additional liner notes to so many volumes.
As always, this community has been tremendously supportive and helpful. But remind me never to undertake this size project again.
I have intentions - in the near future - to purchase a pretty rare score by James Newton Howard, but I am not too sure if what I may want is in fact what I want.
If anyone has the score to "Promised Land," answer me this...
Is the score more/less orchestral or electronic?
I do not want a link for it, as I am running short on space; just an answer to this question would be fine.
@ Ruggo - Suggested liner notes for Elmer Bernstein in the '70's.
With the collapse of the studio system combined with a sometimes volatile economy, budgets for for motion pictures were slashed dramatically. Elmer's career had reached a comfortable plateau, it was time to bask in the rewards of a now 20 year career. He embraced the fashion movement of the decade by wearing brightly colored polyester blend clothing and paisley shirts with collars that would make the Spruce Goose blush. Musically, Elmer took Norma Desmond's words to heart. "I am big. It's the pictures that got small." Time after time, Elmer put pen to paper and gave movies a score bigger and grander than it deserved.
Edit at will Jean. "Suggested" with a ;)
One last thing Ruggo.
No endeavor is truly a success until you have at least one disgruntled fan. Congratulations! :)
Does anyone know if there was ever a complete score to "Red Sonja" by Morricano.
I have the original release that I found on the internet some 2 years ago in a blog that has since gone private and wonder if this film was ever given the chance.
@all: 1) You might realized that boynotorious wasn't around this weekend and didn't share lossless versions of the requested scores. He is currently very busy at work and might won't have the time to be around very often/very soon. Apologies for the delay on the uploads.
2) If I'm not totally insane I remember someone requesting a certain Najica soundtrack. I have at least two Najica soundtracks maybe the requested one is one of them. Just tell me which one it was.
Barbie Movie Promos Ok, don't laugh. I'm pretty aware of the fact that the CG movies and Barbie in particular are not everyones taste but the scores are quite good. Give them a chance :-)
I'm sad for ignored.I have several requests a year but nobody didn't answer me.Person will be saying a word to my brother.I felt lonely a year.My ultimate purpose only be friends.You may also request.I'm ready to help all kinds of.Enough that you help me.
Anybody else having problems getting to Op Cr0ssb0w? I get an error message of not getting to the site. I am away from home and on a very weak wireless signal.
@Robert Thanks for the RAF story - looking forward to listening to it.
@Filmpac Thanks for the update on the Antarctica score. All I had previously was a cheesey little cassette recording I had picked up when I came back from the Ice.
@ Adware - I don't think anyone ignored you on purpose. Often times, when people don't have any of your requests, they don't see the necessity of posting "Sorry Adware, I don't have any of those."
I suggest you share a score or two that you like and add your requests at the bottom of the post. People give to people who give.
just FYI, Eric Colvin was Basil Poledouris' assistant/keyboardist/programmer, and I think he did some TV films in the 90's. I'm almost tempted to try these Barbie scores if they are at all 'Poledourisy' at all, but am not sure if I can have those titles 'on the books'!!!! Are they orchestral?
Hate to be a bother, but both Elmer files you indicated (Walk in Spring Rain and Ruggo file) won't open. When I try to open with Winrar, I get error message that the "archive is either in an unknown format or damaged." Tried to unzip with an unzip program and same results.
Hi everybody: Here's a tough one: the Legend twofer disc of Mario Nascimbene's (Stereo) soundtracks for Carthage in Flames and Solomon and Sheba. If anybody knows if it exists for download in the Web or is willing to share it, I'd be grateful. Thanx!
@ ruggo - Can't be mate. Must be something wrong at your end. "Spring Rain" has now had in excess of 30 downloads already (yep, we can and do exceed the 10 regularly), and not a single complaint bar yours. Even the "Ruggo Package" has had 10 downloads, these people will download anything LOL!
Filmpac dons his trouble shooting hat: Step #1: Try again mate. Perhaps make sure you have plenty of space, them Bernsteins are killing yer hard drive ;)
Step #2: Check file sizes, that error can also indicate an incomplete download (see Step #1, insufficent space). Spring Rain should be 78Mb, the Ruggo package about 20Mb.
Step #3: Holler again.
PS. Can anyone else please confirm if those two files are ok, or not?
Don't know about "Carthage in Flames and Solomon and Sheba" but I can offer you the Legend disc of "The Vikings" and "Solomon and Sheba" from here
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SLC3GXUJ
If its just the latter (runs for about 17 mins)on 8 tracks, I can re upload that bit....unless someone else can post a link to the version you request.
Re:The Barbie Scores I have been listening to ALL these films for the last 6 months or so, due to my 3 year old daughter's love of the films!!!!!! Download this music guys and girls...beautiful scores for nice films!!! Don't let the "Barbie" listing turn you off...you have been advised!!!
I re-uploaded the Ralf Wengenmayr scores(Schuh des Manitu, Liss und der wilde Kaiser, (T)Raumschiff Surprise) and the Gerd Baumann score (Wer früher stirbt ist länger tot) you requested. Just give me your e-mail-address and I'll send you the links.
I hardly can't believe it. Your really generous. In the meantime I understand the principles behind SNS and I understand @isbum and @filmpac and all the others now. When I asked you for re-uploading German Scores, I didn't know the rules about scores, which are still purchasable in stores. So I aknowledge, that it is really something special, that you are doing this for me. This is, why I cannot thank you enough for your help. But now it's time for the e-mail, certainly: djhipposaurus@gmail.com Alternatively you can reach me under vagos.fm. I have their my own account. See you
Thanx for four attention to my request. The Vikings/Solomon version I've got already; I'm looking for the Carthage in Flames/Solomon and Sheba 2007 Legend release (http://www.screenarchives.com/title_detail.cfm?ID=7702) because it is a different edition of the Solomon and Sheba soundtrack - in Stereo - (the Vikings/Solomon is Mono) and also contains 4 additional previously unreleased tracks. I've heard the stereo clips and what a difference! I'm hoping somebody out there might know if it's available. Thanx again!

Hey everyone! Well it looks like I need to get a new anti-virus for my PC. Any recommendations for a good free one? I'm on WindowsXP in case that matters. I'm fairly ignorant in these matters, so feel free to speak to me as you would a two year old. Thanks guys, I'll really value any input you may have on this subject.
Thanks man! So I'm gonna lean toward Avast unless anyone else has any better advise about an Anti-Virus. I'll wait a little while just in case anyone else wants to make any recommendations, but otherwise I've located a free download of Avast and will proceed with that. Thanks again Robert.
Thanks Dom1! Yeah, AVG is the other one I'm hearing is pretty good. I wonder...does anyone know of a reason that would make one more superior to the other in regards to AVG vs. Avast (anti-virus)?
As I've stated, I'm fairly ignorant about computers and such, but I found a site called "pcworld.com" that rates Avast above AVG. However I do not know that anyone from that site can be trusted, but I do trust my friends here, so that's why I wanted your guy's input.
I'll go ahead and wait a little bit longer to see what advise anyone may have before making a decision.
I thought it might be inappropriate to post this here so I posted it instead at the Classical Music Hall, but I guess exceptions are sometimes allowed, so I'll post this 4th of July compilation here as well:

@ octogoncomplex, I've had both, but gave up on AVG due to a non-low profile (it uses more resources than it should) and a bad freeze which took an hour or so to fix. I've been using Avast for about 2 years. It's caught everything and gives me no problems.
@Trident and Ruggo Thank you for your holiday salutes. They will be fun to play this weekend. Happy fourth to all in the USA and a late Canada Day to those north of the border.

This particular variation is so full of longing that it reaches to the stars. It's only about 3 minutes long, however. If you're looking to seduce your girl, suggest the whole of Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto in a softly lit room.

Southwest212 said he was just playing around with some thoughts when he compiled and sent me 11 tracks of patriotic-themed cues from different films.
I thought it was such a great idea, I spent the next couple of hours trying to match his fantastic selections with eleven of my own. What he originally called "Unnamed Patriotic Compilation" has evolved into
THE MOVIES REMEMBER A PATRIOTIC TRIBUTE Various Artists.

Hi, and a happy July to all. Does anyone have the Legrand double bill CD containing Le Mans and The Hunter?
@Ruggo - Here is the Bernstein.

A couple of requests please
Where Eagles Dare/Operation Crossbow (F@M @320)
This is probably the wrong place to request these but don't really know any other place. These are the LPs, don't know if they were every released on CD or not.
Terraform - Randy Van Warmer (Bearsville BRK 6998)
Beat of Love - Randy Van Warmer (Bearsville BRK 3561)
Rita Coolidge - Rita Coolidge (A&M SP 4291)
Thank for any help you guys can give me.
@ Ruggo:
Please post the list of Elmer Bernstein- tracks again which you need for your 70s compilation!
One thing: It would be great if you could choose always the best two or three tracks from a soundtrack for one CD and not 6,7 or ten. Your last discs of the celebration were very disappointing because there were always two much tracks from one score. Nearly the same as putting the whole soundtrack on one disc forn the Bernstein chronicles :-(
In Vol. 12 for example, there are tracks from just 3 scores. Quite boring.
Eagles/Crossbow:
IIRC, this one is the compilation - at least I remember so, and have both in my library

EXTREME PREJUDICE-LALALAND EXP EDITION
Sorry for reposting but this got lost right at the end of last month's page..respectfully asking if anyone has a link or a download to this score. Was fortunate to get art from The Artwork Department and am hoping the music may be close by...thanking anyone in advance....
Happy July everyone!
@Tlkjwe, thx for answering my question. I'll share them on sns. =)
@Budarc, also took Film Music of Thomas Newman, thx.
Blood sausage hotdog and iced Sangria for me please.
@all
A tech question if I may,
I've run across a few blogs that use the "zipx" format for files. Any Mac heads out there know of a way to open them? The native OS X archive utility won't work, stuffit won't work, The Unarchiver won't work.
It is the one format I can't open and it's driving me (a little) nuts.
@DLWarner
Re Barry Gray's "International Concerto".....part of the music for Joe 90, link to which might be available in previous posts (or not)...If you still have trouble getting it, I can upload just that track to Rapidothing ;/ in a day or so.
Robert
KevinG, did you try Bomarchivehelper?
Found this on google, thx to HexMonkey.
1. Select a zip file in Finder
2. Choose File > Get Info
3. In the "Open with" section choose BOMArchiveHelper. If it's not in the list choose "Other" and find BOMArchiveHelper at the path mentioned above. (/System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchivehelper)
4. Click the "Change All..." button
Hope this helps you.
Crap... totally skipped the part were you said... the native OS X archive utility won't work. Were you referring to Bomarchivehelper?
I'll keep looking...
@Ms Boricua
Thanks for the response, yes BOMArchiveHelper is the native OS X file utility.
I'll keep hunting around for something that will work but keep the suggestions coming...
I found that the new winzip (12.1) opens it, but that doesn't help you.
There's another program (SubRosaSoft), but it hasn't been updated since 2003, it's a shareware (15 dollars) and it predates this new zipx. Sorry. =(
@Jedi
The Great Santini (1979)
Bloodbrothers (1978)
Billy Jack Goes To Washington (1977)
Powers Of Ten (1977)
The Old Curiosity Shop (1975)
Nightmare Honeymoon (1973)
The Amazing Mr. Blunden (1972)
SX-70 (1972)
Blind Terror (1971)
The magnificent Seven Ride (1972)
Doctor's' Wives (1971)
The Tell-Tale heart (1971)
A Walk In The Spring Rain (1970)
Thank you for your time and having enough interest to download and listen to the Chronicles. Even if it generates a negative comment, that is better than no comment and is much appreciated.
Here's a couple of scores......
The first one is Toru Takemitsu's "Rising Sun", from 1993

The artwork for both these scores can be found at The Artwork Dept.
anyone have Mark Isham's Moonlight Mile?

Hi İsbum
Eveything is ok?
@ Adware - Now that you ask, what is this all about? -
"I have some requests but I dont know why? Why doesn't anyone talk to me? Did you swallow your tongue? Shame, but I dont want anybody to bother.I just want to be friends And occasionally I want something that is what a few men have died Do you do it theft"
Are you feeling ignored/sad?
I can tell you only that the (porn?) soundtracks you requested are some I've never heard of.
Sorry.
@All
If any Mac people need to unzip the new "zipx" format I found a new alpha version (read use at your own risk) of The Unarchiver that did the trick.
The alpha (again, beware alpha version) is here:
http://code.google.com/p/theunarchiver/downloads/list
Anyone know of a link for The Film Music of Ralph Vaughan Williams, Vol. 2 and 3? These are on the Chandos label. The links for Vol. 2 seem to be dead. Haven't seen for Vol. 3. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hi everybody:
I'm looking for Sir William Walton's Film Music, Vol. 3 which includes his music for Olivier's Henry V re-recorded by Neville Marriner conducting the Academy of St Martin in The Fields. If anybody knows a link or is willing to share it, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanx!
Hi all,
@ Omega
I saw your blog, so I have a few requests:
-Robin and Marian(Prometheus)
-North and South II (4 CDs)
-Infinity(Broughton)
-One tough cop(Broughton)
-Dinner with friends(Grusin)
-Ride the Vaquero/The outriders(FSM)
If you can...Very thanks for your help!!!
Enjoy!
@ Ruggo:
Don't get me wrong, Bernstein is one of my favourite composers and I love nearly all of his scores. But when you put a selection of just 3 scores on a disc, I could also listen to the original albums which makes your CDs kind of useless :-)
Nevertheless I hope you continue to make the chronicle 'cause I always wanted to do a big Bernstein Best Of and I don't have so much work now. Thanks! :-)
Unfortunately I just have THE GREAT SANTINI from your list. Here it is:

Repost from just before changeover:
Haven't seen this around so figured I'd post it, in light of interest in his Shaft redo...

Permanent Record OST (1988)
I have a bootleg of outtakes by Joe Strummer, but not the official release (that well-worn cassette now long-gone).
Thanks all and have a pleasant tomorrow.
...Also, I second cigarous' request for Broughton's One Tough Cop.
@ALL
Happy July dear friends.
Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of weeks, been very busy..
And will be for the next week or so.
But
I thought I would hand this over to mark the start of July.
A NEW PROJECT
I was going through some old cdr's a few weeks back and discovered an old disc with loads of scribbled down tracks on the inlay card, it actually turned out to be an old rip from an Isolated Laserdisc of mine from many many years ago.
So my friends, for your pleasure:
Bananas (Unreleased score)
1971
Marvin Hamlisch
http://rapidshare.com/files/250816387/Bananas_1971_Marvin_Hamlisch.zip
I have also included some wonderful clips from the movie which, IMHO, do not distract at all from the music, Woody may not be to everyone's taste I know, but for me, his early 70's material was just piss funny..
Anyway, hope you enjoy and I hope to be with you all again soon.
Ennioman
@ Ruggo - I don't have this (and I don't know why)
but Filmpac found the Main Title track for "Bloodbrothers" 1978.
If you get his attention, he will probably give it to you.
I'm sorry I can't be of more help to you and Jean right now, but I'm immersed in a project of my own.
I hate being selfish with my time, but this has been on the back burner forever.
@NYPRBLUE and cigarous
Looks like One T@ugh C@p is now OOP, so I am uploading it for you now, give me about an hour (depending on Rapidshare).
@Ruggo...you simply can't please everyone ;) A tremendous effort my friend and many thanks for all your hard work, scholarship and continuing generosity. Both you and the omnipresent Jean have contributed a series of magnificent compilations. I,for one, am very gratefull.
@ Ruggo
I haven't had the joy of downloading this fantastic project as yet, but I know it will be magnificent, I can't wait to hear it, well down my friend!

Cheers ^_^ /

Thanks for Santini track. At this point it's the only one I have from that film, so you'll get your truncated selection wish...at least in this case.
@filmpac
Isbum says you have title track to Bernstein's 1978 "Bloodbrothers." Would appreciate a link.
anyone get public enemies yet??
@Ost Troll - Thank you for the Eagles/Crossbow link. Would you re-up it, it is a dead link?
@fpalafox - Here is your Walton HENRY V request. This is the Chandos digital reissue of the of the original. Not my rip, much thanks to the original uploader.

@Jim - I will post the Vaughan-Williams Vol. 2 & 3 for you later this evening.
@Robert
Thank you for the offer, but I believe there has been a misunderstanding.
I am looking for the album International Concerto, 20 tracks, over 70min, released by Fanderson in 2006. It is another compilation album.
Hi All- A few requests:
Mark Isham: "Fire In The Sky"
Clint Mansell: "Moon"
"The Steam Experiment : OST" Dan Macdonald?
Thanks!!
@gsw
Fantastic! Just what I was looking for! Thanx again! (and to original uploader)
@KevinG...The Man, The Myth, The Legend: thanks for the One Tough Cop, @320, no less.

Could someone, if it's out there, please share Mark Isham's "Moonlight Mile"

i: So, below that part of the screen their is a "browse" button , so you click on the file you want to upload from there...correct?
m: Absolutely correct.
i: When it's finished uploading, you would have to scroll to the bottom of the page (or pages 2, 3 ect.) to see the link and file name of what you uploaded... correct?
m: Again, absolutely correct.
i: Where do you move them to & why?
m: After receiving the link, you are given the choice of transferring it to the Collector Account - see screen shot. When this was allowed, this enabled the link, (I am a free user), to be downloaded more than 10 times. Now I will try doing this and you will see what happens:
http://i985.photobucket.com/albums/ae333/mel468_bucket/Collectorszone2.jpg
http://i985.photobucket.com/albums/ae333/mel468_bucket/Collectorszone3.jpg
http://i985.photobucket.com/albums/ae333/mel468_bucket/Collectorszone4.jpg
And there you have it. No dice…
I just don't GET it, Mel.
@ noxtatia
Here's Mark I's Fire at 192k:
http://rapidshare.com/files/250916233/fisk-mais.rar
@mel
I am a free user also
I dont move or transfer the file
Leave it where it is.
I have had my links downloaded over 53 times & they are still working.
@ filmpac
http://rapidshare.com/files/248243009/EM_Mission.zip
So sadly, filmpac, it seems this issue isn't going away. I'll worry about it more another evening though, off to bed now. Thanks for all your concern with this issue. I have a feeling we'll all be seeing more of it.
@ mel
Here is a screen shot of my file that has been downloaded 53 times from my free Collector's Account.
http://rapidshare.com/files/250924721/BS.jpg
It's 26kb in size - you can download that for as long as you like - you will not get a 10 limit on it.
@ luckymike
http://rapidshare.com/files/248243009/EM_Mission.zip
That link is still working.
@ luckymike - Got news for you. As John James just said, that Mission Mars link is STILL working. Yep, absolutely, no doubt about it. Which almost certainly explains why nobody has complained about it :P
"In Support Of Ruggo"
I'm luckymike, and I endorse this message.
Anybody got Elmer Bernstein's BRINGING OUT THE DE@D Oscar promo???
20 tracks, approximately 22 minutes. Thanks in advance!
@Trident
Thank you very much!!
@ filmpac
@ johnjames
Thanks for your verification too! Hope you enjoy the cool Morricone!
"In Support Of Luckymike Supporting Ruggo"
Yeah, what he said!
@ filmpac
I'm glad you get me, inasmuch as how I chose to jump to Ruggo's "defense." Totally don't want to ignite a feud. Just think some things need said to keep a forum like this as cordial as it is 99% of the time.
As to the RS thing, unless there's a new wrinkle that would benefit the community at large to discuss, consider my case closed (can't speak for Mel). Thanks once more for helping us troubleshoot.
G'nite for real!
While I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs waiting for an upload to finish. Somebody requested this last month, and to be honest I'm not sure if it got filled or not. Shoot me, it was a hectic month...

Not my rip, thanks to the original whatever
Hey folks -
All this recent talk of UFO and it occurred to me - does anyone have Hans Zimmer's score to the "Thunderbirds" movie? (It's out of print as, unfortunately, the film probably should be. lol)
@luckymike et. al.:
I guess better late than never, but hear, hear! Your comments about Ruggo's efforts were well stated and I concur wholeheartedly. 'Nuff said.
@Ruggo:
I admire your restraint and decorum. And I LOVE your compilations! You just keep on keepin' on.
(Sorry if this posted twice; had some minor tech difficulties...)
@steven64
found this one (not my rip/link, so thx to the uploader!)
http://rapidshare.com/files/148039601/Thunderbirds.rar
is this the one you're looking for?
best wishes sorei
@ isbum, luckymike and filmpac
I don't get it either.
All I can tell you is that my only solution is to upload with a webhoster other than Rapidshare - and this is what I'm doing.
Consider my case closed too.
@DLWarner
Roger....understand now :)
"Stand By For Action" (when I get it done)

@gsw - I'm currently uploading both Operation Crossbow & Where Eagles Dare, but it'll be one a night.
@Steven64 - yes, I have Zimmers Thunderbirds, it'll be up in a couple of nights unless someone beats me to it.
@anyone - is there anything useful one can do with a couple of hundred Megaupload brownie points?
@everyone UFO-interested - how many of you knew a film remake was commencing production? Hope - nay pray - it's better than Frake's Blunder-birds ...

If you are interested it is here

@writerdirectorcollector RE OUTLAND
Re Filmpac
As Sherlock Holmes once so famously said...
"Once you eliminate the impossible, the improbable, no matter how unlikely, must be the truth."
I thought it was Mr. Spock who said that! LOL.
@ Mel and anyone facing with RAPIDSHARE issues.
At this point, I presume you all have a Collectors Zone account (which is free), where you login at: rapidshare.com -> Free Zone -> Collector's Zone Login, and you can see your account profile which looks like this:
Image 1
To upload a file without download limits, you need to upload under, and only under, your Collectors Zone account.
After you finished the upload, you see your link to the file listed in your Collectors Zone list of links.
Image 2
Whatever you do, don't click where it says: Transfer to Premium Account | Transfer to Collector Account | Delete
You just need to copy/paste the generated link that rapidshare created for the file.
Hope this helps.
@NanM
Yes 'I' do have the Collectors Account....but sadly no where near the points shown in the screen shots.
Have uploaded 2 files today with no problems.
You say:-
"Whatever you do, don't click where it says: Transfer to Premium Account | Transfer to Collector Account | Delete"
without explaining why? Is there a bug/virus/trojan, that we should all be aware of?
But thanks for the advice anyhow.
Robert
For those interested in Shostocovich film music, a great series of CD's is being posted at this site: http://leverkuhnscorner.blogspot.com/

not meaning a dead-link ;-D
@sorei:
No, no - "dead-on" as in perfect!! LOL!
Months ago from last year, twin peaks: fire walk with me (DVDrip score) was posted here. The link is down now, does anyone have it?

@Anyone:

"I am big. It's the pictures that got small."
Time after time, Elmer put pen to paper and gave movies a score bigger and grander than it deserved.
Edit at will Jean.
"Suggested" with a ;)
One last thing Ruggo.
No endeavor is truly a success until you have at least one disgruntled fan.
Congratulations! :)
@cigarous and NYPRBLUE
You are welcome, glad to help out!
My comment was near the cut-off for the month, so I'm asking again. Does anyone know if there is a promo for Aaron Zigman's "The Proposal"?
Does anyone know if there was ever a complete score to "Red Sonja" by Morricano.
I have the original release that I found on the internet some 2 years ago in a blog that has since gone private and wonder if this film was ever given the chance.
@all:
1) You might realized that boynotorious wasn't around this weekend and didn't share lossless versions of the requested scores.

Anybody else having problems getting to Op Cr0ssb0w? I get an error message of not getting to the site. I am away from home and on a very weak wireless signal.
@Robert
Thanks for the RAF story - looking forward to listening to it.
@Filmpac
Thanks for the update on the Antarctica score.
"They are the luckiest people..."
I really tried to resist that one!;)
@boogiepop
Do you have any artwork to go with the Barbie scores?
Just checking, I always like to have a cover if possible.
I'll search the net and see what I find...
@KevinG:
Sorry, no artwork :-(
@boogiepop
That's ok, it may be hard to explain the artwork showing up on my iPod anyway:)
@Gremlin, I do... is on the list of shares for SNS. If you want it sooner, then email me. =)
@filmpac
Thanks a Million for the ANT@RCTICA Expanded Edition, I've been looking around a long time for this one, I'm just now waiting for the DL to finish.
Would You happen to know if covers are included?
I think I have the correct one in my archives of CD covers from the Off World release.

just FYI, Eric Colvin was Basil Poledouris' assistant/keyboardist/programmer, and I think he did some TV films in the 90's. I'm almost tempted to try these Barbie scores if they are at all 'Poledourisy' at all, but am not sure if I can have those titles 'on the books'!!!! Are they orchestral?
Thank you very much for International Concerto.

Ruggo: Thanks for the upgrade on Star Crash.

@All:
O.K. - I'm a day (or two) late and a dollar short, but can anybody help me get a hold of "The Deep Ultimate Edition"?
@kidflash:
Thanks for pointing it out.
Hi everybody:
Here's a tough one: the Legend twofer disc of Mario Nascimbene's (Stereo) soundtracks for Carthage in Flames and Solomon and Sheba.
Filmpac dons his trouble shooting hat:
Step #1: Try again mate.
@filmpac - Thank you for Spring Rain. I can confirm that the files opened/extracted fine for me. Thanks for the Dead promo also.
@Ruggo - I have this problem from time to time and usually a re-download is the cure.
@ Robert
Thank you very much for the first 50 years of the Royal Air Force.

I hardly can't believe it. Your really generous. In the meantime I understand the principles behind SNS and I understand @isbum and @filmpac and all the others now. When I asked you for re-uploading German Scores, I didn't know the rules about scores, which are still purchasable in stores. @filmpac
You were right. I had incomplete downloads and was penalized for early withdrawl (downloadus interruptus). All is now well.
God bless.
Thanks boogiepop & andrew - I'm swallowing my pride and going for it:)
@octagonproplex
I have tried both AVG & Avast, both free). Am using Avast just now & have no comlpaints so far.
Robert
@ Robert
Thanks man! So I'm gonna lean toward Avast unless anyone else has any better advise about an Anti-Virus. I'll wait a little while just in case anyone else wants to make any recommendations, but otherwise I've located a free download of Avast and will proceed with that. Thanks again Robert.
@ all my American friends,
I wish you a happy and safe Fourth of July weekend.
@optagonproplex...and I'm using the (free) AVG & have no complaints so far!
@ MaD
Please check your link for N@TTY G@NN. It's actually a link for ST@R TREK that has been flagged and deleted as suspicious. Thanks!
@Dusty:
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly with "The Deep Ultimate". 'Preciate it! (And Ennioman, of course.)
@All:
Here's wishing everyone a safe and happy Fourth!!
Steven
@Dom1
God bless and thanks.
@Mad
Thanks for the fixed Natty Gann as well as for all your great shares!
@Ruggo
Another excellent share with "American Portrait", thanks pal. Thanks for Star Crash also, I love me some John Barry!
God bless.
@ Southview212
@ KevinG
Much Appreciation for sharing "Set It 0ff" and "0ne T0ugh C0p" guys, thanks alot!
@MaD
Thanx for Natty. You may want to check the Conundrum mp3 link too as it points to another cancelled Giacchin0 score.
I thought it might be inappropriate to post this here so I posted it instead at the Classical Music Hall, but I guess exceptions are sometimes allowed, so I'll post this 4th of July compilation here as well:

*Forest J. Ackerman was WAY too influential in my life. Can you tell?
@ octogoncomplex,
I've had both, but gave up on AVG due to a non-low profile (it uses more resources than it should) and a bad freeze which took an hour or so to fix. I've been using Avast for about 2 years. It's caught everything and gives me no problems.
@Trident and Ruggo
Thank you for your holiday salutes. They will be fun to play this weekend. Happy fourth to all in the USA and a late Canada Day to those north of the border.
Happy July 2009 to everyone friends!

One of the most beautiful piano pieces ever written is Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme By Paganini, Variation #18.
http://rapidshare.com/files/251707258/_09___Rachmaninov__Rhapsodie_Sur_Un_Theme_De_Paganini_-_Variation_No._18-_Andante_Cantabile.mp3.html
This particular variation is so full of longing that it reaches to the stars. It's only about 3 minutes long, however. If you're looking to seduce your girl, suggest the whole of Rachmaninoff's 2nd piano concerto in a softly lit room.
hey there. posting for a friend, but looking for Herrmann's Psych@ score, originals for film soundtrack, in FLAC. it exists, I know it does. it has to. it's Psycho for Pete's sake.
my wussy friend says thanks
@ tripmaster
My beautiful piano theme choice is Tacoma Trailer - 1992 - Leonard Cohen from The Future Album.
A rare Cohen instrumental.

Not my rips, but thanks to the original poster!
How good are the chances of posting a soundtrack that's not down?
(I don't see why it should be limited to SNS; it can't count as in print if it was never printed to a CD.)
Okay, screw the games. Giacchino's UP, anyone?
@lonestarr357:
Are you looking for "Up" or do you want to post it? There's a copy floating around.

Happy July 4th!!!!
