The link to Disc #8 [The Charge of the Light Brigade-John Addison / The Honey Pot-John Addison (@320)] of The M-G-M set is non-responsive. Can You Please fix it.
@ isbum: Thanks for the background, and of course for the covers in advance! ;)
@ baffelgab: I've been searching for a bootleg/complete score version (more than 11 tracks) of The Pianist for ages! Requested it without luck, maybe your request will bring good news... But nice to hear that I'm not the only one wanting this ;)
don't know if you remember me saying i was wanting to re EQ your Newman The Hurricane Rip ( will be at it today) ...just a point of ripper protocol has occured to me...shall i deliver it to you to reup or up it myself.. : )
@Tlkjwe: There was a chance to download the covers for Just Buried on the MSM website (http://www.moviescoremedia.com/justburied.html) but obviously they are not available at the moment. I'll check if I can find them somewhere else.
@sysel: I'll upload IP Man again for this weeks SNS if that's ok for you.
Good day to all. I am searching for a complete score to "Jurassic Park". Vagos has a 3 disc version posted by Asher but the links are defunct. If someone has this in their box of goodies, would you mind sharing?
Thanks in advance for your effort and consideration!
I know this blog is haunted by a lot of old farts, and a lot of younger squibs who like old fart movies.
Here's a interesting, entertaining (and I hope not too depressing) slide show of the ladies we grew up watching and loving on the silver screen and how they've aged.
These collections, the Bernstein and the MGM Treasury are both monumental collections.
I have them both...but I'm such a glutton I'm going to download them all over again just for the greedy satisfaction of making sure what I have is complete.
@ isbum - Sorry i don´t know i can´t share things still in print but not everybody has 200 bucks to spend in this. Maybe if anybody interested i can share a lossless copy of Soundtrack Treasury. And please can you tell me what things can i share?.
@ Jegar - I hear you mate. The MGM Box is sold-out (OOP).
If you have commercially released scores that are over 1 year old, they are fine to post anytime. If your share came out in 2009, please post it as a SNS between Friday & Sunday.
With the labels that only sell limited editions like F@M, Intrada, L@ L@ Land, V@rese Club, Krit@erland and the likes, please post them as SNS unless they have sold-0ut.
A quick check of Soundtrack Collector will show the release date of any scores you have to share.
I hope this helps. If you have questions, feel free to email me.
Does anyone happen to have the soundtrack to "The Scarlet Pimpernel" (BBC show from 1999) with a score by Michal Pavlicek? I just today realized that a soundtrack had been made. Would be most grateful! Thanks!
If you look at the Artworks page I've posted a version of "Race For The Yankee Zephyr" that is coupled with another Brian May OST, "The Survivor".
So, if the tracks are any different to the ones jura007 has kindly offered up to you I can post the CD rip for you. You'll have to wait a couple of weeks though when my connection is back up to speed. But either way I'll be posting it anyway because people may want "The Survivor.
@Mister T: The "Jurassic Park" 3-disc link is still active. Click on each link and then click on "continue" in the next window. It will take you to RS and you can download as usual. (I just did it!)
@John James - Thank you for helping WDC with Disc 8 of the MGM Treasury. I am going to list the link again just to be on the safe side. Don't know what went wrong with the first one. Disc 8 MGM Treasury <--
@Jegar - Thank you, thank you for the FMC titles. Now I can replace some of mine that are damaged.
I need help from someone. My computer does not recognize .wv file extention. What do I need to do? I have never come across this file extention before. I am lost.
For wv or ape, I use dbPoweramp to convert to wav, then Poweriso to load the cue file and to extract the wave file into separate tracks. Then dbPoweramp to convert the individual wave tracks to mp3 for my iPod.
It's called wavpack. Another possible solution is to Google for "wavpack plugin [name of your usual converter]". You may find a plugin that you can install which will allow it to recognise wv's.
Thanks, Anonymous...for uploading "Suddenly" again. Funny it had to be the LAST file, in the folder. I guess that's the way they are, though...either at the beginning...or at the end :-)
Also, thanks to Jegar, for uploading the Bernstein Film Music Collection....been wanting this for a LONG time.
Thank you for Miss Dove & Black Widow. Dove is such a lovely score - typical of Leigh Harline & with that unmistakable 50s Fox sound. No other studio orchestra ever reached those heights. Maybe 'that sound' was due in large measure to Eddie Powell's superb orchestrations for so many Fox scores of the 40s & 50s. A couple of real treasures. Thank you again. Seasy
Just posted over at Ruggo & Jean's Fine House Of Compilations:

@ RonH & JeffHall: I'm glad I could provide. I wish I had the Danger Man & The Protectors albums (as well as Man With A Suitcase, The Champions, and the other ITV scores) but, alas, I don't & am looking for them as well...
@gsw My friend with foobar and the wv pluging you can find in the foobar page you can hear wv files but if you want to decompress to wav all you have to do is rename .wv file to .exe and double click and it will extract the file but be sure not to have the cue in the same folder it can give you an error because this way extract the wav and the cue.All my wv files can be extracted just renaming .wv to .exe. I hope i'm useful any problem just ask.
I just finished extracting No. 12, of the Bernstein series. The file is listed as .wv. Do I presume this means wav? What kind of player do I need to play the file? WinAmp, WMP, and Quicktime don't recognize it. Wondering why the file was not MP3. Are all files, in the series, listed as being .wv?
@ GilinAZ - I thinks Jager meant the above post as explanation. He said:
My friend with foobar and the wv pluging you can find in the foobar page you can hear wv files but if you want to decompress to wav all you have to do is rename .wv file to .exe and double click and it will extract the file but be sure not to have the cue in the same folder it can give you an error because this way extract the wav and the cue.All my wv files can be extracted just renaming .wv to .exe. I hope i'm useful any problem just ask.
In the latest Foobar bundle I just used you just drag the wv file into the playlist and it automatically splits the files. You can play it that way or select all tracks, rt click and choose convert and then convert to mp3 or whatever. For mp3 you need to download the mp3 bundle with lame.exe and then when the program asks, just select the location of the lame.exe file.
Miklos Rozsa recorded three amazing LPs for Polydor in the 1970s. I have awaited CD releases for lo these many
years, but it hasn't happened yet, so here are my rips. All are @320.
Each of these albums had an insert with notes by Christopher Palmer. Unfortunately, as I do not have a functioning
scanner, those notes are not included.

@ GilinAZ Hi my friend i don't share in mp3 because i hate this format i like the original cd format and ripping with EAC with the right settings and compressed in wv,flac or ape is like you have the original. So if you download any other release for me don't expect the lossy mp3. The reason why foobar automatically splits the files is because the cue is embedded in the wavpack file like the log if wavpack don't split the files you must charge the cue in foobar but all my rips has the cue embebbed.
@Ruggo, JD, 3410 - Thank you guys for your converter advise. I went with the Foobar.
@Jegar - Thank you for the renaming tip. I started off trying to rename but I had no idea what the extension should be and that is when I started asking what to do. I still have the file so I am going to experiment with renaming.
I converted them to WAV in Foobar and then converted to mp3 in my Koyote converter. Everything looks OK but I have not had a chance to listen to them.
Thank you again for such a great share.
@StoryGuy - Thanks for the 3 Rozsa LPs
@jura007 - Thank you for Yankee Zephyr
@The Alchemist - Thank you for the Waxman, Stevens and all the Johnsons
I'm having a brain-freeze here. I don't remember where I got this from, possibly here. If so, I sincerely apologize for usurping someone elses post (Southview212 maybe?). But I really wanted to share this (again?).
This is Rachel Portman's score to "Grey Gårdens", a made-for-HBØ movie that my mom(!) told me about. Beautiful music.
I'm new around here and to sharing. I just set up a free account with MegaUpload to see if I could do it. For my first upload, I chose a compilation of music by Alan Silvestri. Would someone please try to download it and see if I got it right. The music consists of: 1. Back To The Future III / End Credits 2. Death Becomes Her / End Credits 3. Eraser / Cyrex Break 4. Father of the Bride / Main Theme 5. Grumpier Old Men / End Credits 6. Judge Dredd / End Credits 7. Mouse Hunt / End Credits 8. Predator / Rescue & End Credits 9. Richie Rich / I Have A Son 10. Ricochet / Main Title 11. The Wild / To The Wild 12. Tomb Raider / The Cradle of Life 13. Volcano / Main Title 14. What Lies Beneath / End Credits 15. Back To The Future II / End Credits 16. Forrest Gump Suite
You'll find it (I hope)at: http:/megaupload.com/?d=TYKCMFFT
@Alchemist...ditto THXjay, we're nearly there with Network series...Man In A Suitcase would be the icing* on the cake. For our American friends read 'frosting' ;-) ...everyone else it's the only bit worth eating on a cake.
Wow, THANKS for posting that much better image of the Rozsa album. That reminds me of record listening in the old days, when you'd hold the album cover and read it while the record played.
I'm sorry to list another request so soon, but does anyone happen to have the soundtrack to the tv show Frasier? "Frasier: Tossed Salad & Scrambled Eggs"? Thanks!
btw. if there is any format foobar2000 doesn't support, there is a list of codecs you can add to your foobar components folder: http://www.foobar2000.org/components
Quick question regarding .wv files: I can open them with foobar. But how to I get them to burn on a disc (or convert to mp3, for that matter) so that they will play in the proper order? BTW, thanks a ton for the Bernsteins. What a treasure!
My own compilation. I like compilations as much as Ruggo & Jean. I like coming up with themes. My latest is Bob's (that's me) Favorite Bombasms - great bombastic film music. I'm still putting it together, but here are a few of my favs: The Ride to Dubno from Taras Bulba (Waxman) The Rowing of the Galley Slaves from Ben Hur (Rozsa) Battle in the Forest from Return of the Jedi (Williams) and my personal favorite. . .Death Hunt from On Dangerous Ground (Herrmann). I'll let everyone know when I'm finished. :O)
Thought the album was in storage but, turns out, I had it handy. The insert notes for Rozsa Conducts Rozsa: Rozsa Liner Notes
Am so very grateful, StoryGuy, for that album @320. It sounds terrific. I ripped it years ago @128 on inferior equipment and it sounded none too good. Bought it mostly for the Sherlock Holmes suite but loved it all.
Escaflowne (movie) - Yoko Kanno An American Affair - Dustin O'Halloran Pars Vite Et Reviens Tards - Patrick Doyle 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea TV Mini-Series - Mark Snow La Terre Vu de Ciel - Armand Amar Winged Migration - Bruno Coulais L'avion - Gabriel Yared A Zed and Two Noughts by Michael Nyman
If anyone could care to help me with even just one of the above, I'd be one very thankful woman. ;)
I received your email and feel it's a good idea to let the good folks here assist you with your question and any follow-up information you may want. I am terrible at explaining things.
Tiny Planet asks... "Could you please tell me how to send a couple of scans to your Artwork Department? I've already uploaded (the first time) a soundtrack request, "The Scarlet Pimpernel."
I was able to load the Bernstein wavpack files into Foobar, and listen to them. When I select all, and do a right click...choosing covert to MP3...for these particular files, it only gives you an encode choice of 192kbps. Is this the only encode choice available with the program? That is, do you have to take what it gives you?
@StoryGuy, Trident, RonH and anyone else who might want them, you can find hi-res scans with the liner insert over at The Art Department for all three of the Rozsa LPs. Search under Miklos Rozsa.
If you have any trouble with the links let me know.
@ all: I'm just throwing stuff up against the wall to see what sticks. Some rare. Some odd. And some ordinary run-of-the-mill stuff too. Meanwhile, here's another.....
Benjamin Frankel-Battle of the Bulge (1965) [original OST, not the re-record] Soundtrack Listeners Club SLCS 1014 CD rip @ 320
Battle of Neretva? But of course. If Bernie wrote it, I've heard it. I was lucky enough to go to college with John Morgan (he and Wm. Stromberg do all those wonderful reconstructions on Naxos). Well, John was a friend of Bernie's, and subsequently I was the recipient of most of his recorded works, including non-movie stuff like his opera, symphony, etc. All great stuff.
There is a bootleg CD around with music from Destination Moon, When Worlds Collide, and War of the Worlds but I don't own it. Instead, this rip comes from a copy of the Columbia 10". It's a bit noisy but it's the only version I can offer.
A dream is just a wish your heart makes.....unless it's a nightmare

The resulting RAR file, from the Bernstein No. 11, is too long to extract. The filename has to be less than 266 characters. Is there any way to fix this? I tried re-naming the RAR, but it still won't extract correctly. This is the Tiomkin file containing "Land Of The Pharoahs", etc.
Bob's Favorite Bombasms My favorite piece of classical music when I was just a lad was In The Hall of the Mountain King, from Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite. I loved how it started out soft and slow, and got louder and faster. Well, here are some of my favs from the movies:
1. The Ride To Dubno / Taras Bulba / Waxman 2. The Rowing of the Galley Slaves / Ben Hur / Rozsa 3. Main Title / The Killers / Rozsa 4. The Wild Ride / North By Northwest / Herrmann 5. Battle in the Forest / Return of the Jedi / Williams 6. Death Hunt / On Dangerous Ground / Herrmann 7. Overture / Welles Raises Kane / Herrmann 8. Finale / Welles Raises Kane / Herrmann Enjoy! :O)
@gsw - THANKS for the pointer to your Rozsa scans! For some reason I can't get the search function to work in the artwork area, so I missed them the first time.
unzip and put them in your program files folder. Then when foobar asks, nav to the lame.exe and select it.
As far as trouble extracting, sometimes it helps to put the rar file in your C directory so that the path name is not too long. It took me a year to figure out this trick!
"Dolores Claiborne" -- *not* the expanded edition which is seemingly everywhere on the internet, but the original Varese edition with 9 tracks. It's been out of print for quite a while. If someone has that one and can share it I would be so grateful!
momo....I found a MP3 lame file, and was able to use it, for converting.
It seems a long-named RAR would have the same problem, in C:, as anywhere else...unless C: is better equipped to handle longer RAR names. Any thoughts?
I've had this problem with RAR files, before, and someone said I had to "rename" the file...to make it shorter. I never had an extraction problem, after doing this. I can't understand why it won't work with this one. Maybe it's still too long, even though I cut quite a bit out :-).
@THXjay: Unfortunately, none of the music files I put up on this site have artwork enclosed with them. If I could, I would... Also, the Jason King track titles were odd & I think the booklet would help make sense of them (or else confuse you more--I'm not sure which), but, alas, I'm not going to be able to help you here. Sorry again.
My First Request: Speaking of oddball requests, one of my favorite films as a child (ok, I admit it - I still have "a thing" for this movie) was Dr. Seuss's 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. Would anybody have a copy of this soundtrack? I would be in your debt forever. :O)
@ GilinAZ I have no problems to extract this file but you can do 2 things. Open the file (Jegar-024).Dimitri.Tiomkin.-.Land.Of.The.Pharaohs,.Gunfight.At.The.O.K..Corral.&.Search.For.Paradise.(FMC11) and rename the folder Dimitri Tiomkin - Land Of The Pharaohs, Gunfight At The O.K. Corral & Search For Paradise (FMC) inside the rar or don't extract paths.
@ Jeffrey Scott Arnold
Tu burn this files to a cd you have to convert to wav the entire wv file and then you open the cue in your favorite burning program and you get a cd almost the same as the original one.
Jegar...I listened to the opening of "Land Of The Pharoahs", conducted by Bernstein. The tempo seems a bit fast, when you compare it to the great 2 CD Version (FSM), with Tiomkin conducting. Not only that, but his is a LOT more complete.
BTW, don't confuse *file* name with *path* name. Path name includes file name, folder name (of the folder that the file is in,) *and* destination name (eg "C:\" or "Desktop.")
It's true that, when encountering these file-path-too-long problems, extracting to "C:\" (or "D:\" or similar) rather than the desktop can be a good idea since the *true* address of the desktop is longer than it appears (something like "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop".)
To all - Here's another on of those rare recordings from Max Steiner. From 1942, the original score from acetates, plus actual scoring session takes, of "Now, Voyager". Sorry not track list or artwork, just pure Golden Age music.
I've reuploaded The Scarlet Pimpernel. Hopefully, you'll be able to get it. For some reason, I can't access my premium account so I don't know how long it'll remain active. Good Luck!
@ the alchemist - Greetings and welcome, thanks for serving up choice golden oldies. I think covers for most of the Malcolm Arnold LPs are at the Artwork Department, give a shout if any are missing.
@ gilinaz - Doesn't matter how you shorten up the pathname, just so long as you do. Folders within folders can often cause the problem. Saving to a long pathname to begin with can also cause problems.
@ roryseber - Awesome film, The 5,000 Fingers Of Dr T is available courtesy of L Rob Hubb, at: Music Snob <---
@ tinyplanet - To send scans to the Artwork Department, click the "Click Here to Share and Request" paint splash graphic. Then post your comment as you would here. Thanks in advance for scans.
@ RonH - You answered your own question. :) F@M's are for the most part in print and quite available.
Please ask for a private share by leaving your email address here.
About a month back, buddy Ennioman shared practically the entire back catalog of in-print F@M's as SNS's. I really don't want to see them over and over. Please share those privately if you can. I like the label.
It's not my intention to dump on your request. That subject was on simmer for a long time now.
We have three wonderful guys here who I'm sure would be glad to share F@M's with you, provided they have your address. Myrthuen, Southview212 and Jean. *Jean is on holiday at the moment, though.
It's Southview checking in. Here is the 2 CD extended version of Jerry Goldsmith's & Joel McNeely's "Air Force One". @320 w/correct fornt & back artwork. There are two additional alternate tracks (not listed) on disc 2.
Let me know if this does not work, I will reup it this weekend.
@filmpac
Thank you so much for Maury Laws "Hobbit". I have been looking forever for Maury Laws/ Rankin/Bass "Return of the King"..whether a release or a dvd rip any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!
Thanks for the Rambo 2 share, I am a fan so much appreciated!!
Does anyone know how to keep itunes from breaking a soundtrack up into several files when adding it to the library. I just imported a share and it put it in three seperate folders. Any help would be great, thanks!!
@filmpac - You have made me a very happy camper. Not only did Music Snob have 5,000 Fingers. . ., but some out takes as well! Hans Conreid - gotta love him. :O)
Was wondering if anyone has "The Legend of the Lone Ranger" by John Barry. (I have a feeling it's extremely rare).
I'm also looking for the Måsk Bootleg Edition of "The Black Hole"/"Howard the Duck" et al. The art is in the Art Dept., courtesy of Southview212. Speaking of which...
@Southview212: Thanks so much for the expanded "Air Force One". I'd been searching for a while.
I see the problem you are having and it is quite easy to fix... assuming You are using a mac.
Open iTunes and Select the album in question, or select all songs in a particular playlist that You may have made, I usually create a "LOADING DOCK" folder in playlist, and add the dowloaded album or folder there for editing.
There You can see all the info as usual - but sometimes the folder has not been combined into a 'compilation' if various composers or artist are on the album and this is not a problem.
Now highlight the album, or if multiple tracks are showing more than one album, highlight all by holding down the button -located between the alt/opt and spacebar- .
Now all of the tracks are highlighted, then go to the top of computer screen and while in iTunes window, select "file" and scroll to "Get Info".
Click on that and a prompt will ask -"Are you sure you want to edit information for multiple items?"-, depending on if You have You iTunes set this way, click on 'Yes'.
A 'Multiple Item Information' window will appear on screen. There You will see 4 buttons at the top-'Info/Video/Sorting/Options'-.
Select 'Options', then select 'Part of a compilation' - and select 'Yes'.
Go back to info and make any other changes that You wish to have before You select 'OK'.
A lot of times I find that album artist can cause problems if multiple names are used in one album, so I select to leave this blank by clearing any entries
and also check the box too, as this will ensure all is cleared. also the composer can be a problem too but this can be helped when You select 'Compilation'.
You will also see how many disc numbers are used, this can be changed as well, but this can be changed as well.
Let's say, for example, it's a 2 CD with 10 tracks per disc.
Select both disc in the edit mode and enter 20 tracks, don't change the disc number just yet!
Now select 'OK' and just highlight the the first track of disc 2, then go back to 'file' click the 'info'.
Now You will see this is a bit different as You see a window appear "Title of Song"- for Ex, and Summery/Info/Video/Sorting/Options/Lyrics/Artwork.
Select 'info', Look at the track, it should read Track 1 of 10, disc 1 of 2. Change track 1 to 11, click the next button, change track 2 to 12, etc...
Once you have completed this task, click 'OK'.
Now go back and select both disc, go to 'Info', and change disc from 'first box blank' to 2, and change to 1 of 1, click 'OK'.
Now the multiple albums is now 1 complete album, which makes better sense for the iTunes media storage since there are no limitations as far as CD space, that is of course if You don't plan on burning to a CDR, and in that case, don't change disc or track numbers.
I hope this helps, it is a bit complicated at first, but after a while You will get really good at this sort of thing.
I've got so good at this "Virtual" library thing, that I don't worry so much anymore if I don't buy the physical CD of everything I download. I never burn CD's, what's the point, no need to if a person has iTunes with an iPod/iTouch.
Well, First Blood was a pretty good movie back in the day, and part II is at least an 80s action-classic, and though I'm not a 'Rambo-Fan' per se, Goldsmith's scores for the trilogy have always been among my favorites in the maestro's ouevre.
@ sorei
Thanks for the quick share! :) I also found that it is you who's fullfilling most of my requests lately - thanks for that, too! Have a great day.
I dl'ed High and the Mighty. Thanks for the share. I'm curious - did you have access to a different source and, if so, did you do some EQ-ing? It sounds to me as though a bit too much noise reduction/hiss removal has been applied and there's some of that digital compression "ringing" sound. I also have the FLY release somewhere. Is there more music on you version?
One of my most cherished albums. A CD rip of semi-lounge music, late 1950's and early 60's; 24 television themes performed by Nelson Riddle. It includes Ben Casey, Naked City, and of course his own Route 66 and The Untouchables.
@ TinyPlanet: Thanks for re-upping The Sc@rlet P1mpernel!
@ stereoelf: Thanks for the Nyman!
@ Wild: 't was me ;) My deepest thanks go out to you for sharing The Uns@!d @ wonderful lossless format!!! You're always good for a lossy surprise, love it ;)
Thanks for your input on this! This version has 16 tracks, full artwork, and was done by a friend for me many years ago. He did all the work, I am not sure what processes he used. I just wanted to offer it up to the group for everyone's enjoyment.
@gsw: Thank you so much for "Lone Ranger". I was honestly beginning to think I would simply never see this beyond my own lp-to-cassette-cd rip from the early '90s!
@Southview212: I've gotten so much great stuff from you lately, requested and otherwise. Thanks doesn't seem like enough, but...Thanks!!
Hey friends, I was wondering if anybody had a link for the expanded edition of Jerry Goldsmith's lovely score for Joe Dante's equally lovely "Matinee?"
I only what to say to Parzival and to all that I have found what music was used in the trailer to Stephen Frears Cheri (with my beloved Michelle Pffeifer)
The music belongs to one of Jean Philippe Rameau's opera's overtures
And this music it's in Casanova Soundtrack by Alexander Desplat, in cue 24 called , a great escape

@ Jegar - Great, great post my friend! Sorry to say that it's still
in-print.
It's fine to stay for the usual couple of days.
@ Elmer Bernstein fans: If you want this collection, don't hesitate.
It will only be here until Thursday @ Midnight.
I need help....
I've been searching the website for two scores I know have been shared, but for the life of me I can't find them.
Could these two be shared again, please....

Does anyone happen to have the soundtrack to "The Scarlet Pimpernel" (BBC show from 1999) with a score by Michal Pavlicek? I just today realized that a soundtrack had been made. Would be most grateful! Thanks!
@ Southview212...

I need help from someone. My computer does not recognize .wv file extention. What do I need to do? I have never come across this file extention before. I am lost.
@gsw
it's another lossless type of compressed audio file (like FLAC). You can probably find a free program to convert it.
@ Wild - Thanks for your share, but I can't do APE files. I only have capabilities for FLAC.
For wv or ape, I use dbPoweramp to convert to wav, then Poweriso to load the cue file and to extract the wave file into separate tracks. Then dbPoweramp to convert the individual wave tracks to mp3 for my iPod.
you can also just use foobar2000.
http://www.foobar2000.org
@ gsw,
It's called wavpack. Another possible solution is to Google for "wavpack plugin [name of your usual converter]". You may find a plugin that you can install which will allow it to recognise wv's.
@ J.D. - you are right - foobar2000 is much better than my way. I can't believe I never tried it before - thx!!
Thanks, Anonymous...for uploading "Suddenly" again. Funny it had to be the LAST file, in the folder. I guess that's the way they are, though...either at the beginning...or at the end :-)

@ Scoremanscott
Thank you for Miss Dove & Black Widow. Dove is such a lovely score - typical of Leigh Harline & with that unmistakable 50s Fox sound. No other studio orchestra ever reached those heights. Maybe 'that sound' was due in large measure to Eddie Powell's superb orchestrations for so many Fox scores of the 40s & 50s.
A couple of real treasures. Thank you again.

Cheers & applause to you!
@ jura007 - Yankee Zephyr worked perfectly. Thanks for your second effort.
Gil
Hidely ho, neighborinos,
Miklos Rozsa recorded three amazing LPs for Polydor in the 1970s. I have awaited CD releases for lo these many
years, but it hasn't happened yet, so here are my rips. All are @320.
Each of these albums had an insert with notes by Christopher Palmer. Unfortunately, as I do not have a functioning

@ GilinAZ
Hi my friend i don't share in mp3 because i hate this format i like the original cd format and ripping with EAC with the right settings and compressed in wv,flac or ape is like you have the original.

@320; hi-res art included
I'm new around here and to sharing. I just set up a free account with MegaUpload to see if I could do it. For my first upload, I chose a compilation of music by Alan Silvestri. Would someone please try to download it and see if I got it right. The music consists of:
1. Back To The Future III / End Credits
2. Death Becomes Her / End Credits
3. Eraser / Cyrex Break
4. Father of the Bride / Main Theme
5. Grumpier Old Men / End Credits
6. Judge Dredd / End Credits
7. Mouse Hunt / End Credits
8. Predator / Rescue & End Credits
9. Richie Rich / I Have A Son
10. Ricochet / Main Title
11. The Wild / To The Wild
12. Tomb Raider / The Cradle of Life
13. Volcano / Main Title
14. What Lies Beneath / End Credits
15. Back To The Future II / End Credits
16. Forrest Gump Suite

Wow, THANKS for posting that much better image of the Rozsa album. That reminds me of record listening in the old days, when you'd hold the album cover and read it while the record played.

Your Silvestri collection is downloading. But you need to correct the link.

Welcome. And thanks for contributing. Is this your own compilation or a CD?
@The Alchemist
Thanks for all the Laurie Johnson links - plenty of top tunes there.

I'm sorry to list another request so soon, but does anyone happen to have the soundtrack to the tv show Frasier? "Frasier: Tossed Salad & Scrambled Eggs"? Thanks!
A special Rozsa SNS is coming from me in a few days....
@gsw:
btw. if there is any format foobar2000 doesn't support, there is a list of codecs you can add to your foobar components folder: http://www.foobar2000.org/components
cheers.
Quick question regarding .wv files:
I can open them with foobar.
I'm still putting it together, but here are a few of my favs:
The Ride to Dubno from Taras Bulba (Waxman)
The Rowing of the Galley Slaves from Ben Hur (Rozsa)
Battle in the Forest from Return of the Jedi (Williams)
and my personal favorite. . .Death Hunt from On Dangerous Ground (Herrmann). I'll let everyone know when I'm finished. :O)
Oops - sorry to post seperately
Thought the album was in storage but, turns out, I had it handy. The insert notes for Rozsa Conducts Rozsa:

Am so very grateful, StoryGuy, for that album @320. It sounds terrific. I ripped it years ago @128 on inferior equipment and it sounded none too good. Bought it mostly for the Sherlock Holmes suite but loved it all.

"Could you please tell me how to send a couple of scans to your Artwork Department? I've already uploaded (the first time) a soundtrack request, "The Scarlet Pimpernel."
@Trident - Thanks for posting those liner notes! Glad you're enjoying the Rozsa rip. :)
@ Roryseber - Will you allow us to post

Please:)
I'd be so grateful if you would!
Gil
@TinyPlanet--thank you so much for uploading Scarlet Pimpernel! Really appreciate it. :)
As soon as I get it done - just looking for a few more bombasms. Ay suggestions?
@Rebecca:
Well, here's one on your list. It didn't come with artwork but I made some of my own. (No comments from the Peanut Gallery! lol)
Enjoy

You can encode at VBR-0 as the highest (which is pretty much the same as 320k) click on the"..." button next to the "output format " drop down..
Thanks, momo...I found it!

@StoryGuy, Trident, RonH and anyone else who might want them, you can find hi-res scans with the liner insert over at The Art Department for all three of the Rozsa LPs. Search under Miklos Rozsa.

Any chance of reupping Legrand's 'Never Say Never Again'?

The resulting RAR file, from the Bernstein No. 11, is too long to extract. The filename has to be less than 266 characters. Is there any way to fix this? I tried re-naming the RAR, but it still won't extract correctly. This is the Tiomkin file containing "Land Of The Pharoahs", etc.

If so, I would be eternally grateful if you would take the time to scan the covers & booklets for them ;)
Bob's Favorite Bombasms
My favorite piece of classical music when I was just a lad was In The Hall of the Mountain King, from Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite. I loved how it started out soft and slow, and got louder and faster. Well, here are some of my favs from the movies:
1. The Ride To Dubno / Taras Bulba / Waxman
2. The Rowing of the Galley Slaves / Ben Hur / Rozsa
3. Main Title / The Killers / Rozsa
4. The Wild Ride / North By Northwest / Herrmann
5. Battle in the Forest / Return of the Jedi / Williams
6. Death Hunt / On Dangerous Ground / Herrmann
7. Overture / Welles Raises Kane / Herrmann
8. Finale / Welles Raises Kane / Herrmann

Thank you all so much! I originally did not expect to have more than one or two of my requests fulfilled. Thanks again.
@gsw - THANKS for the pointer to your Rozsa scans! For some reason I can't get the search function to work in the artwork area, so I missed them the first time.
@ Gil - here is the page with the mp3 bundle
http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-bundle.php
unzip and put them in your program files folder. Then when foobar asks, nav to the lame.exe and select it.
As far as trouble extracting, sometimes it helps to put the rar file in your C directory so that the path name is not too long. It took me a year to figure out this trick!
Got an oddball Elfman request:
"Dolores Claiborne" -- *not* the expanded edition which is seemingly everywhere on the internet, but the original Varese edition with 9 tracks. It's been out of print for quite a while. If someone has that one and can share it I would be so grateful!
Just wanted to thank gsw, Southview212 and isbum for their great - not to mention generous - shares of the MGM Soundtrack Treasury!
momo....I found a MP3 lame file, and was able to use it, for converting.
Gil
3410...OK, those settings worked with the RAR extraction. If I use these settings the next time, would I still have to make the name shorter?
Gil
@ StoryGuy - Elfman and oddball go so well together, don't you think?
Here's what you wanted - one of Danny's best.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=79X2B2O5
@THXjay: Unfortunately, none of the music files I put up on this site have artwork enclosed with them. If I could, I would... Also, the Jason King track titles were odd & I think the booklet would help make sense of them (or else confuse you more--I'm not sure which), but, alas, I'm not going to be able to help you here. Sorry again.
@StoryGuy - Forgot to mention, there are only 8 cuts because the Finale and the End Credits join seamlessly. Enjoy! :O)
My First Request:
Speaking of oddball requests, one of my favorite films as a child (ok, I admit it - I still have "a thing" for this movie) was Dr. Seuss's 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. Would anybody have a copy of this soundtrack? I would be in your debt forever. :O)
@Roryseber -- Wow, that was fast! Thanks! I'm listening to it right now ... :)
@The Alchemist
Thanks for the gold you've been making lately.
@ GilinAZ
I have no problems to extract this file but you can do 2 things.

@ GilinAZ,
I shouldn't think you'd need to.
Hope this helps.

Hi All -
I have a couple of requests and a thank you --
Was wondering if anyone has "The Legend of the Lone Ranger" by John Barry. (I have a feeling it's extremely rare).
I'm also looking for the Måsk Bootleg Edition of "The Black Hole"/"Howard the Duck" et al. The art is in the Art Dept., courtesy of Southview212. Speaking of which...
@Southview212:
Thanks so much for the expanded "Air Force One". I'd been searching for a while.
As always, thanks everybody for everything!

Re: iTunes folders
Hello josh,
I see the problem you are having and it is quite easy to fix... assuming You are using a mac.
Cheers ^ _ ^ /
Well, First Blood was a pretty good movie back in the day, and part II is at least an 80s action-classic, and though I'm not a 'Rambo-Fan' per se, Goldsmith's scores for the trilogy have always been among my favorites in the maestro's ouevre.

May not remain up past Sunday, not sure...
One of my most cherished albums. A CD rip of semi-lounge music, late 1950's and early 60's; 24 television themes performed by Nelson Riddle. It includes Ben Casey, Naked City, and of course his own Route 66 and The Untouchables.

@gsw:
Thank you so much for "Lone Ranger". I was honestly beginning to think I would simply never see this beyond my own lp-to-cassette-cd rip from the early '90s!
@Southview212:
I've gotten so much great stuff from you lately, requested and otherwise. Thanks doesn't seem like enough, but...Thanks!!
Hey friends, I was wondering if anybody had a link for the expanded edition of Jerry Goldsmith's lovely score for Joe Dante's equally lovely "Matinee?"
Also, an SNS request: Sebastian by Goldsmith.
Hello people¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
I only what to say to Parzival and to all that I have found what music was used in the trailer to Stephen Frears Cheri (with my beloved Michelle Pffeifer)
The music belongs to one of Jean Philippe Rameau's opera's overtures
And this music it's in Casanova Soundtrack by Alexander Desplat, in cue 24 called , a great escape
Isbum¡¡¡ Filmpac¡¡ Great people¡¡¡
