To all my friends at FranklyYes:
Happy New Year!
For those of you who may have received a Kindle or similar electronic book reading device (or given yourself one as I did a while back), here's one of my novels. Of course, you can also read it on your computer.
I'm frequently asked where I get ideas for my novels. Usually it's as simple as taking a simple premise and throwing it into the "what-if" blender of imagination and conjecture.
"IN HOPES OF HEAVEN" is just such a novel. The book contains some violence as well as very explicit scenes, so if this kind of material offends you, you might want to pass. For everyone else, enjoy!
IN HOPES OF HEAVEN
A Novel by
David L. Ruggeri
Synopsis:
An average man, with the sudden ability to work miracles of healing finds there is a price he may have to pay for his gift. As he plumbs the depths of depravity, he reaches the brink of moral bankruptcy and discovers it may be too late for redemption. Corruption may be easier than salvation. The question is, what would you do with such a gift once you discovered the cost?

@ all
I have a really bizzare request. I have looked all over the internet for a downloadable copy of a film called "The Mermaids Of Tiburon" circa 1962. The only download I found was of such low quality, that it is barely watchable. If ANYONE here has a good DVD copy of this film (preferably the color release) would you be willing to rip it to a multi-part .avi and post it for me???? I know that TCM has it, but I don't have any way to pay for it, and I'm not interested in the other film on the disc. If anyone can do this for me, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks

I do not have Donaggio's Oceano score. I had posted Waxman's Lost Command in August or September but I don't know if the Sendspace link is still good. I'll look for the disc but I may have boxed it up since then at which point it will take quite a search to unearth it & I can make no promises about it.

I found FRANKENSTEIN UNBOUND on eMule. I, too, had been seeking this title for years. I did a "hope search" one day and up it popped. There was only one person sharing it, and it took months to finally get the entire file; it hovered at 73% complete, with the dreaded "red progress bar of death" forever. This is the same source as the original share of FAMILY PLOT I made back in the first days of FranklyYes. I have no idea where this stuff originates.
I'm not looking for anything particular, thanks. But if you have something rare/interesting, by all means...
P.S.

Question: maybe it is only me, but does anyone else have the 'problem' NOT to get email-follow ups of the scriptorium? Is it because of the moderation mode? I just had alchemists' posts in the asian shop in my mailbox, nothing else....
or is it me (well, my laptop, anyway: technical problems on my side? Wouldn't be surprised....)
@sorei - You are not alone. I am not getting them either. This is the first time this has happened to me. All other times post moderation has been enforced I have recieved e-mail notifications.
@sorei - Post moderation is off. My above post appeared instantly as usual, but I still did not get an e-mail notification.

I wonder if He's seen the the new Tarantino film? lol
May be some people think that to share new releases during 48 hours ,prevents from buying the CD's.
On the contrary,to share the new releases makes possible the discovery of new music :
the collector will want to have the original CD with the booklet and he will buy;and the one who will discover a score, may be he will buy ;if he has had no share to discover the score,it's sure he never bought the CD.
@eda-88
It seems the Raba Lyubvi link on Mega doesn't work

@ isbum
Which encapsulates all that is wrong with the current soundtrack market.
If it had been like this in the 1960's when I started.. I probably wouldn't.
In the 1960's a worldwide soundtrack release was a risk most labels took and generally lost money on.
By 1970, most of us had begun collecting soundtrack albums that had corners cut or holes punched in them at bargain prices.
This began our collecting habit that led to purchasing nearly every new release issued.
Just like drugs, they got us hooked on the cheap high. LOL!
All kidding aside, I believe the market was always a small one. Only the biggest hit film scores were found in your parents collections.
Hello in the new year.

A question! I have always been able to find stuff by simply typing the name of what I want, followed by rapid share and using Google Blog Search beta.
Of late, this doesn't seem to work much anymore. Usually I get the files pump site or some kind of rapid share search engine which must be phony because there is no such thing as a search engine for Rapidshare. At least there better not be!
Any tips or tricks on basic searching you can share? Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the new williams compilation!!
'Storia Di Una Donna' is something I had never heard of , well done for the work on this!! your compilations are always interesting :-)
Sometimes I think one of the subconscious reasons I make compilations is just so I can cull through my photo collections to find the appropriate picture upon which to build the album artwork.
Since this is a 4-volume set, it provided the opportunity not just to listen to a lot of beautiful music, but to search for just the right graphics among thousands of photos.
Here's the first volume, just posted over at Ruggo And Jean's Fine House Of Compilations.

Hi, a couple of requests:
Raggedy Man - Goldsmith
According to some sources, this should be part of the "2 Days in the Valley" boot, but all of the copies of those I found omit Raggedy Man.
The second disc of the "Masada" boot, music by Morton Stevens. I found the first disc, and a link to the second, but that link is dead.
Thanks for you help!
@ all:
Googled and found a link for
Carter Burwell - Blair Witch 2: Book Of Shadows.
It should be the ost, but I'm not 100% sure, cause I didn't finish downloading.

James Horner - Cocoon (EXPANDED)
....I just realized there's an expanded edition somewhere out there: anybody able to help here??
that would make me really happy :)
I think everybody will agree that the theme from "A Whale for the Killing" is marvellous and one of Poledouris' bests.
However, only the people who have seen the TV movie will be aware that there is a fantastic VOCAL version of the theme, some sort of a whaler's ballad ("well, wait for the whaler's spoon, to bloody your steel harpoon !" - you get the idea).
Some years ago I heard that song (it appears towards the end of the movie) and hoped it would be on the CD - bad luck.
Could anyone be so kind and rip it and post it here ? I bet it would be appreciated by everyone. Many thanks in advance.
@all
found something myself :D

Thank you a thousand times for your John Williams posts! Someday, you posted a volume including GIDGET GOES TO ROME, right? Unfortunately I missed this one so I'd be very thankful if you or somebody else could find this old link and post it once again here :)
Additionally to that I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to collect Vol.1-12 from these rare Williams Beeps in a seperate thread or to post it in Ruggos Compilation section because it is a compilation and it is absolutely great great work!!
Hello,
Somewhile ago I downloaded The man with the golden gun (John Barry). This was a 25-track version. I searched everywhere for the artwork. Does anyone have this?

@ codiac aka herr hitler -
In reference to your comment, and I quote "I know where You live, loudmouth. Prepare yourself."
Understand this...
Your name is known.
Your shop address is known.
Your phone number is known.
Your email address is known.
Your internet provider is known.
We know all these things and more. Give me a couple of days and I will know what colour underwear you are wearing. I suspect it will be black, like your heart.
However, unlike yourself, we are not thugs and hooligans who attempt to bully our way through threats toward others. We neither use nor condone the use of Gestapo style standover tactics which are clearly so embedded within yourself. References to Hitler as you have openly sprouted have no place in this day and age. The Hitler regime was an abomination which even the majority of the noble German people now accept. You bring nothing but shame to yourself, your family, and your people.
The time of infantile threats and schoolboy bullying is now over. Whatever it is you think you are capable of achieving, do it. Bring it on sucker.
Any further attempts to use this forum as a sounding board for your hate speech will NOT be tolerated. All comments made by yourself in the future WILL be forwarded to your internet provider and other relevant authorities in your country.
Now run along little man, you disgust me.
Hey Adolf S, how about posting the website link to Your Great record shop so We can all Start buying CD's from You, and a 10% rebate to all FranklyYes members would be great. Do You offer a discount on multiple shipping?

I just received My Saturn 3 OST CD, but I think it's a FAKE, not a CDR, but a silver knock off(disc).
I compared it to other CD's that I have from the same record company, but it doesn't match (Matrix Pattern or Silk Screen Paint Style), but the inserts seem like originals.
This one I purchased from Chris' Soundtrack Corner. So before I email a complaint to Him, I had better double check with another's copy.
If some one here has the actual CD, or an image of it (front and back if possible), it would really help Me.
Thanks for Your Time! : )

(Re; Sat3)
Yep, It's same disc. Whew, I feel so much better Now. It's almost like the Capricorn One CD, (even though it's original LP was on WB) they were produced under the same circumstances, as far as rights "Gr@nada Ventures". I noticed that most (Matrix) codes are the same, so when Intr@d@ (distributes) has them made, let's say for example: Buck Rogers or Jaws 3, it must be through the MC@ pressing plant since they hold the rights. It would make sense, since in the beginning of this series, the label has to go outside to an independent pressing plant, but if the larger titles (record labels) have their own plants, it's easier to have them made, as well as cost effective. Of course this is just a guess though.
Thanks Again Guys!

Re Wish List for New Year
So many great scores were released last year, shocking in a recession. Movie scores don't generate a lot of profits for labels like Lady GaGa and such. (shudder!)
My wish list would include a deluxe Star Trek The Motion Picture and Final Frontier. My fantasy list would be a big box set of all the Trek original series music. They can throw in the Animated series too while they're at it.
I wouldn't mind a complete Hook and 1941. More Irwin Allen TV scores. I"m sure I can think of more!
Am I too late?
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL :)

@ all:
Found two of my requests, thanks to the original uploaders!
"Touching The Void" by Alex Heffes: http://rapidshare.com/files/252559280/AH-TTV.rar
"Keeping Mum" by Dickon Hinchliffe: http://rapidshare.com/files/157645028/KeepMum.rar
Enjoy!
@ filmpac:
Sorry, I think I forgot to google before requesting the above scores...
I asked you for a third score:
David Newman's "Daddy Day Care".
My search wasn't successful for it, do you have this score for share?
@Tlkjwe
thx for the Hinchliffe, I liked 'last chance harvey', so I will give this one a try too..
Anyone have DAYBREAKERS by the great Christopher Gordon yet?
Many thanks in advance!
Has a promo score been released for "The Lovely Bones"? Does anyone know? I keep searching Amazon for the CD release so I can order it - but still nothing! I thought since the movie has come out, the score would follow shortly after - so far - nothing.
Thanks!
Happy New Year! Had a major family health scare back in September and just fell out of the loop. I'll try to get a few interesting things for y'all soon!
Hi all. Happy 2010! Anyone have the OST for "Bound" (1997) by Don Davis?
Thanks!!
@fdfdfdfd - I can help you with Best Years of Our Lives (11@320-cd rip)
Blind Terror (4@192-not sure where these came from)
Omar Khayyam/The Mountain (9@320-LP rip)
The Brave One (19@320-LP rip)
Are these what you are looking for?
Is there a new remastered release of Spartacus? What label?
@ all: Well, I'm losing files every day regardless of whether people are downloading them or not. Il Trono Di Fuoco was the last victim. The Starewicz disc is next. Also, I move things around so much that finding things to re-up them once they are gone isn't going to be that easy. I located The Lost Command but I haven't a clue where Il Trono Di Fuoco is. But, you've heard me say all of this sort of thing before.
Meanwhile, I have a blog called The True Gen. Right now it's closed & private but, if need be, I'll open it & post my links there.
I wish there was some kind of plan in place to collect e-mail addresses or something so if this blog needs to go dormant for a while it can be set up elsewhere.
Meanwhile, I'll continue to upload files & post links here even though it seems like a Sisyphean task some days.......
