hey guys, just curious if anyone who DL'd the On the Corner boxset would upload the last (6th) disc? I was digesting it in small installments but now the links are dead :(
you can post it here or send it to my username (same) at gmail. many thanks in advance!

@filmpac
filmpac you misunderstood me. Somebody was asking me about these soundtracks but I didn't post them because you said not to. I was just confirming if they were a release of Brigham Young University.
As far as Battle Cry is concerned, you said I couldn't post it, so why would I ask you again.
Thanks for your suggestion , It's highly appreciated. I will surely try to refrain from making the same type of grammatical errors.

filmpac said...

@ amadues - Ok, fair enough. I don't want to make a big deal of this, but you have to know how your comment was read.

I understand that English is not your first language, but things like "r u" are just lazy in any language. The total lack of punctuation makes you look like a primary school child. Ask yourself, is that how you wish to portray yourself on the internet?

To answer your question (and I don't believe it was a question at all), yes, both Johnny Belinda and Flame And The Arrow were released by Brigham Young University. You can confirm that yourself at soundtrackcollector.com. I know you have already. They were either posted by me (a) during a naughty weekend, or (b) when I was not truly aware of the significance of Brigham Young. Trust me, I SHALL NOT be posting any further releases from Brigham Young. Never! Ok, have we now established that?

On occasion I do request that people not repost links. This is almost certainly because they came from a private forum. The key word being "private", and I respect that. I cannot prevent you or anybody else from re-upping whatever you have. I merely ask that you consider before doing so.

Thank you for your understanding.

Hello all!

I've read somewhere that a promo copy of "Body Double" by Pino Donaggio had existed. Does someone out there have such a promo?

I do have the six tracks that were available on Milan's release along with several of DePalma's movies that he did, but a more expanded release of that score would be awesome.

Thanks!

Neither have I re posted your links without your permission nor do I want to until I have a carte blanche .

Whoa! Another Alan Parsons Project fan? Man, aside from "Eye In The Sky." the first few set of music I heard from them was Ammonia Avenue (still love "Don't Answer Me") and Stereotomy and still a fan, though the more recent solo albums didn't rock my world. (The Time Machine wasn't bad, though.)

We need more AP score work! :)

Isbum said...

@--mcc - I have my eye on the "Tales" Cd remastered edition. If you wish to save ol' isbum a little cash and upload it @320 for me, I sure would appreciate it!

Their are some intriguing Best Of discs, but if I'm going for a pure nostalgia buzz, I'd have to stay with the complete albums.
I'm sure you know what I'm saying.:)

Hi Everyone!

My personal Alan Parson's Project favorite was the Edgar Alan Poe Tales Of Mystery And Imagination (I just noticed it was re-released a few years back as a double cd with outtakes and what-not---boy that would sure be cool to listen to---hint hint?)

anyway right now here are a few fulfilled requests:

@ rodtross: I have a religious-y album from the 70's called 'TIME TO RUN' could that be the one you're looking for? (it's orchestrated by Clint's recent main man Lennie Niehaus and has one killer 70's funk track---it's a vinyl transfer @ 192 and does have some surface noise)

TIME TO RUN (Ted Smith and Various Artists)
http://sharebee.com/57eecd5d

@ filmpac: here are 2 Walter Brennan albums I was able to find (both in high fidelity/vinyl @ 192)

Walter Brennan's OLD RIVERS
http://sharebee.com/8940dea5

Walter Brennan's CHRISTMAS ALBUM
http://sharebee.com/b5bb0f73

They sure are fun. ('Pick'n Time' on Old Rivers was written by Johnny Cash btw)

BOYNOTORIOUS said...

@ All

Reports of my demise via a freak Lawnmower Mishap have been greatly exaggerated. Rest assured that, "The Boy Is Still In The Picture."

As for The Daydream: The original intent has become a serious issue I am currently trying to address. The current useless nature of Rapidshare has sent "The Archive" into a different and better to maintain direction that will also address my need to limit access of certain things to certain members. If your a member you will be getting an e-mail sometime this weekend with full info followed soon after by Invites. The blog will remain open to all members and creatively stay as intended. THE VAULT is going to be off blog and limited access. Do not, I repeat, do not start e-mailing me asking for access to this area as you either will be given the info to access it or you won't be. I will still take requests and frankly what you don't know exists as a possibility will remain the same as before. Other than that it's all good as those that have gotten a peak behind the curtains will likely tell you. I only hope it will be deemed well worth the wait as most of you will likely have no idea how much work and time has gone into this between myself and my partners. We will see how it pans out once open.

Be well all.

P.S. Anyone holding a copy of the "Cool As Ice" Soundtrack? And, before you get on me about the sad nature of such a request, think to yourself, do I not want to read his write up for this crap in The Daydream? :) Nuff Said. I remember seeing it somewhere but can't locate it now. Any help would be greatly appreciated as always.

Two Italian lounge legends share the duties and move in on one dear wife...

Stelvio Cipriani & Daniele Patucchi "Cara Sposa (aka Dear Wife)" (1977), LP @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/87456786/SCDP-CaraSposa.zip

@ boynotorious - Hate to admit it, but I do indeedy have Cool As Ice. But at a mere 128. Which might actually improve the sound. Will post if nothing better comes along.

I am also having difficulties with the lingo on the new Daydream there. Is it now to be an open blog with some areas only accessible to members? Or is it still to be a private blog, with a super-vault built under the vault, with limited access to only certain members? Who do we gotta kill to get on this super-secret hitlist;)

Isbum said...

@ filmpac - I think we have to kill each other to get in. ;)

filmpac said...

@ isbum - Best I can come up with on Parsons "Tales Of Mystery" deluxe is this site. Without downloading, the filesize is leading me to think it's 128 bitrate. Whaaa! There used to be a torrent it seems, but probably died along with demonoid.

http://www.gudubet.com/2008/01/19/alan_parsons_project__tales_of_mystery__imagination_2cd_2007_bedava_album_indir.html

@ quinlan - Do not list.

Isbum said...

@ filmpac - I got the regular from one of the rock blogs at 128kbps.

Not to worry, I have a stack of Lp's going back to the store so my credit can go towards it.
At the moment their Italian, French, and US soundtracks sections seem to be stagnant. The score Lp area was just getting a restock when I happened by last time, thus the Caiola, Love, Froom, and Lai records became available.

@ 7 Black Notes - Amoeba has a copy of Crown International's "The Pom-Pom Girls" with your name on it. If you're in the area, you might want to know. ;)

I'm diggin all the stuff on here and wanted to give back by sharing a soundtrack. I finally finished a little project I've been working on. It's the complete, and I do mean COMPLETE Transformers Soundtrack, every damn song in the movie, including the impossible to find Cheesy Cha Cha and Ain't no Game (which is actually called "This is Not a Game"),all of Bumblebees tunes, all the stuff from the official soundtrack, and even the music from the trailer, as well as a nifty Starscream bonus. I also included a front and back cover, and all the tracks are in the order they appear in the movie ...so enjoy!

BOYNOTORIOUS said...

@ All

To clear up some of the confusion: It is not, nor would it ever be and open blog. It will remain PRIVATE for previous stated reasons.

All areas of the blog itself will be accessible to the members.

The Vault Listing will remain intact and updated daily. The Vault itself however will be moved off Blog with Limited Access to only Certain Members.

This does not mean that you can't simply request something from The Vault List. It just means that several people will not have to request anything as said off blog Vault will have every title already available. 736 Composers with just over 6,000 scores to start. Running off an IP at 000.000.0.000 running from a server located at nonexistant.com

Get it, Got it, Good. :) Dare I ask for any more questions?

P.S. Thanks in advance for the ICE. I am going to start Theme Week postings and want to upload everything well in advance. Either way you slice it the blog is going to be a blast.

Well the film definitely has a score (all the twangy guitar incidental tracks) that's it's never been commercially released. But I've found a lot at these blogs I never knew existed before, so there's always hope. I even asked Alex Cox himself once but his reply was "there is a soundtrack on MCA records," not seeming to understand that I was asking for the score.

And thanks very much for LET HIM HAVE IT. :)

Magnus said...

Hi, guys.

Regarding the 10,000 BC score, I just listened to it and it seemed pretty much real to me... for me it does sound a Harald Kloser score. What do you think??

@isbum:

I also listened a Primeval edition that was floating on Rarescore Sounds blog... I compared it to 10,000 and it seemed different...

Am I missing something? I taking this serious because I am a Harald Kloser fan and willing to see this 10,000 BC on the way!

@ All

I've got that 46 min Combined Tracks release that STooth upped elsewhere. If I recall, I got it in an e-mail a few weeks back. It did unpack to a single file at 160k and I can verify that it is, repeat is, 10k as I had just seen an Advance Screening of the Movie and was pissed I would no doubt have to wait months to get the Score. I can easily up that somewhere if you all are really having that much trouble with the file?

@ STooth

That 10k was good for an Instant Invite into my blog if your interested. I can also offer you an alternate method for upping whatever you want to these parts should your troubles continue. Send me an e-mail and I will gladly explain.

@--mcc

I am trying real hard not to give too much info away in regards to my blog. Sorry if it comes off as cryptic and feel free to e-mail me for full info on how to get invited in.

@ Isbum

Thanks for the decrypt.

Praise Mary, It works!!!

But what's this junk about PRIMEVAL? Is someone implying that this is the same EXACT score?

I'm new around here, so I'm just getting the politics down. But, YES, this is the score that I say it is. Why someone would post that a score is something, and it not be it, seems odd to me. If it's about popularity, then I might see something to it, but really, sharing some of this stuff could lead to more distress than not being the most important kid on the block and I could careless about that.

Please, enjoy the music, go see then movie, compare the score that in the film, then, if you like it, go buy the CD.

That was a total in-joke that not a single newbie and several oldies still won't get. I can assure you nothing was meant. It's related to whatever newbie of the month decides to pawn nonsense on the scene to grab a few quick scores. It usually only revolves around supposedly Rejected Scores. Most recently on my part via a John Williams Rejected Version of Evolution that turned out to be some late 70's Sci-Fi French Tunes. I however cried foul from the go with that particular fantasy as I couldn't be lucky enough to have that HACK get rejected from anything. :) That PRIMEVAL has been pawned off as three different scores that I can count and one bogus Score Submissions Promo. There is the rub. No intent at all . :)

Record Two

Notes: Dialog present. Engineered much like the original "Apocalypse Now" Lp's, the mix of music is presented as a continuous piece for each side of the two records.
I sent these to Tony as they are here, so he may find a way to properly separate the tracks as listed on the back cover.
At any rate, look for it to appear at "For the Love of Lai" soon.

No offense taken. I only frustrated that the posts weren't working and the files seemed to junk up.

No fun for anyone, there.

@ scoretooth - I absolutely noticed your frustration. It was a lame attempt to lighten your mood.
You are aware this score is brand-spankin' new and can't stay long here? Hope you understand.

@ algernon - Love the name, you need Ravi Shankar's score for "Charly" based on "Flowers for Algernon", let me know.
Here's another take on "The Cat" from the Verve Lp by Lalo Schifrin.

Hey, all. Some of you may remember a folder of self-made artwork I shared last year. Since then I've created a bunch more. These are for the most part covers only. I started doing this to differentiate between official releases and boots/promos/isolated DVD rips, or to have an alternate version of some less-than-attractive commercial covers. The original link has disappeared so I've re-upped the original folder, and upped the second folder as a different file. Do with them what you will. I hope you like them, and please let know what you think.

Folder 1 contains:

Anastasia
Bats
The Black Cauldron
Blade
The Bodyguard
Breakdown
Constantine
Dante's Peak
Dolores Claiborne
Eaters of the Dead

Not only is 10K brand spanking new, it's not yet released. The movie doesn't come out until March, and I can't even FIND a release date on the score!

Scoretooth, I can confirm that Isbum's comment re "Primeval" is something of an in-joke round here. I'll be honest and say I too was thinking "oh oh, here we go again", until finally hearing it. But no, it's not even close.

I am prepared to accept that it is what it claims to be. Parts of the score can definitely be heard in the trailer. Which makes this one helluva find, and EPIC thanks for sharing it!

Greetings everyone,

You seem to know very well Vladimir Cosma's work. I'm looking for a French TV series theme from the seventies/eighties. The name was "Les Roses de Dublin". It was a beautiful melody, a little bit Irish (of course). Maybe it exists in Cosma's numerous compilation. Does anyone know ?

Thanks

However another is closer to my home state. Montmorency county, Michigan, was founded April 1, 1840. It was first named "Cheonoquet" after a well known Chippewa Chief, ...

or perhaps another Montmorency?
At any rate, it's nice having you visit.

@ quinlan - Hello. Do you have the Erroll Garner soundtrack to "A New Kind of Love"?
I located a stereo copy on Mercury Records today. Cover shows Garner at the piano with insert shots of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward from the film. Orchestra conducted by Leith Stevens.

I am also looking for recordings by the band called "SKY".
I have a self titled one from 1979.
What I gather is that composer Francis Monkman("The Long Good Friday") didn't stay with the group very long, so I'd prefer the ones where he's composing for the group.

That is all. January is toast.
