Some requests I have from the C@M label, and CDs I would be willing to invest in and post here if nobody else has them.

Cronaca Familiare ("Family Diary") by Goffredo Petrassi

Gianfranco Plenizio: Ritratto di un Autore (compilation of composer)

Il Dolce Corpo di Deborah - Nora Orlandi (I would love to hear more of this composer's work in generalafter recently discovering The Strange Vice Of Mrs. Wardh)

Does Daniele Paris have any fans here?

La Bugiarda by Benedetto Ghiglia

La Costanza Della Ragione - Giorgio Zinzi (this one I will ABSOLUTELY buy if nobody has it! sounds great!)

I'll go ahead and stop there. One more question, I've heard and love "Anonymous Venetian," "Death Walks in High Heels" and "Femina Ridens" by Cipriani and I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on other works of his in a similar vein as these? Thanks!

I have a weird request that maybe somebody could help me out with. about two years ago before i had a hard drive crash i remember downloading from somewhere in blogland an awesome soundtrack, but i can't recall the composer or the title. i only remember it being beautiful, and it had what i think was a green border, and if i recall correctly, i think there was a serious looking woman on the cover, (just the top half of her body, long hair?) and maybe a man standing behind her. lol. my imagination could be embellishing some of these details, so please forgive me if my description isn't the most accurate...for some reason i want to say that it was an international soundtrack, most likely european, and i'm almost positive it wasn't one of the more well known composers, like morricone or cipriani. does any of this sound familiar? any help would be appreciated! thanks!

H2O said...

@ tripmaster -
Is it Francis Lai's La Leçon Particulière ?

tripmaster said...

@ H20: i don't think it is, although i can see how my description fits with the japan release. i don't think i had that version at the time when i first heard this mystery album. but indeed, La Lecon Particuliere is truly a beautiful soundtrack! thanks anyways for the help though.

tompak said...

I'm looking for Claude Bolling's "The Awakening". I found out that it has been released with other american soundtracks of his under the name of "American Movies". Does anybody have it ? The only version I have is on vinyl...

Thanks

Tompak

@ Princes Valiant - thanks for "The damned"!

Anonymous said...

@Tripmaster...a purely random guess, but from your description, it could be Alberto Baldan Bembo's "Codice D'Amore Orientale" as the cover is a painting of a long haired woman sitting with her back facing towards us & a serious looking Indian man sat cross legged behind her.

It's available on Paul Durango's blog if you want to check. Very very good record indeed for all those unfamiliar with it.

I could find 'Un Taxi Mauve' on this blog but in low quality. Can someone post a higher rate one please?

Also 'L'Ours'. Funny enough, it has not been posted here. Great score though.

And 'Un Coeur En Hiver' and 'La Tourneuse De Pages'.

Thanks to everyone here.

@ PeGo

As far as I know, 'Le Dernier Combat' has not been released on CD, no?

I am downloading now.

Thanks a lot for this one. Much appreciated.

nounouvert said...

@ PeGo

Really excellent. I listening now.

I love that score and the movie too. It takes me back to 83.

I am a Besson generation guy. Le Grand Bleu was such a hit on its time. I am away from France so I missed Adele... I can't wait to see that one.

PeGo said...

You're welcome nounouvert!

I saw "Adèle" at its world premiere in Brussels, where unfortunately Luc Besson himself didn't make any time to talk to his fans after the movie, he only did an obligatory and somewhat rushed interview on stage.

I wouldn't get too excided about the film though. There are lots of problems with it besides the fact that the herione is extremely selfish and unsympathetic. Serra's score is sometimes overly bombastic and uninspired, but there are some 'vintage Serra' moments there as well.
Being a Besson fan myself (I even saw Atlantis on the big screen and loved it) it was a huge disappointment for me.

take care!

PeGo said...

PS: no the soundtrack was never released on CD. Glad I bought the LP years ago from a bargain bin.

nounouvert said...

@PeGo

I had the soundtrack on a tape myself...

Failed Escape from Nikita and Five Millenia Later from The Fith Element are maybe my favorite tracks from RXRA so far.

I heard Adele but yes frankly it misses the Serra touch.

hi isbum,

he own hundred italian DVDs (Giallo, Police crime movies, comedies, historical, etc)..

But he usually rips and posts all his DVD with quality "48 kHz, AC3 Dolby Digital, 2/0 (L,R) ch, ~192 kbps", here: http://greenpig.ru/
Always remains original audio.Never encoded lower.

No matter,

Here is the same bootleg but with UPGRADE QUALITY, because for my opinion in the previous upload was
booming (sound) or weak sound and he've made UPGRADE.

Here is the new link, upgrade quality of tracks:

@ eda-88 - Checked the IMDB:

"When a shipment of heroin disappears between Italy and New York, a small-time pimp in Milan is framed for the theft."

What's worse than being a small-time pimp in Milan?

Being a small time pimp in Milan who's framed for stealing heroin from the mob! LOL!

I wonder how much of the music for this is just "improv", you know...
"we roll the movie, you cat's play it as you see it!"

Armando Trovajoli - Crime Funky Score, poliziottesco!

for La Mala Ordina (1972)

Is UNRELEASED.

I asked friend Greenpig made bootleg, enjoy:
http://www.multiupload.com/KGP0ULCO53

June 22, 2010 11:11 AM

RE: La mala Ordina,

isbum, i think those crime movies available in ENGLISH language or with subs...

Problem with russian yes, only some enthusiasts non officially made translate into russian subs, audio for those trilogy:

-Milano Calibro 9 (Luis Bacalov's score+Osanna)
-Il Boss (1973) (Bacalov's score UNRELEASED too)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0069818/combined
-La Mala Ordina (1972) [by Trovajoli]

All movies by Di Leo.

You should watch them, you'll admire score much better than just hearing, listening...

Concerning "UPGRADE QUALITY" - no, i should let to know, bitrate the same, which is the source of DVD, @192, but with some Software, he made just loudness more higher..

When i've made bootleg for VLADIMIR COSMA - LE TELEPHONE ROSE, i was wondered why my version sounds not higher than other friend's example of...

Provided to be he just made through other software and made loudness higher, though bitrate was the same.

3410 explained me that process, i was curious...:)

Good to see you enjoying that boot, also, i wrote about this here, on BEAT too...maybe they'll think about release this score and IL BOSS (1973) by Bacalov.

Cheers.
