wow...Brutti, Sporchi E Cattivi is one monster of a soundtrack. I didn't know our man Armando could come so correct on a soundtrack...do you know if there are any more he did that are in a similar vein? Thank you for sharing that with us.
oh yeah, i know this is european cinema blog but does anyone mind if i share libraries ? they are sort of soundtracks...if it's a problem please let me know.
wanted to say again, i love this sanctuary of great music! hello all and thank you for the great shares. i have been in contact with janus for a year now sharing back and forth but i do not know the rest of you (although a few of you have commented on my blog shares). hope to get to know you.
omi...i can assure you that a problem it is not!! i think i speak for the most of us when i say that we are always more than eager to grab a good library share when they do come around (unfortunately, not often enough). for instance, the [coloursound] alessandroni library records i posted a few weeks back were about double the number of downloads i usually get for other typical soundtracks i post...so by all means, please don't be shy!! go all out with the sharing! we will glorify you and call you our hero for your efforts!! :D
Richard Eldwyn - Jazz Pour L'Action, a french library record off of the [MPI](Musique Pour L'Image) imprint, released in 1969. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=M98XVJ2C
@ library209 -
also, while you're here, i made this request a few weeks ago, but with no luck, perhaps you might be able to help me out? i figure it's a longshot, but i guess i'll just throw it out there anyways...i absolutely fell in love with track 1 off your sub-aquatic mix that you posted a few months back on your blog...if i'm not mistaken, it's a [sonoton]record by walt rockman, entitled biology? any chance you or someone you know might have access to that record? or perhaps could you even put me on to other library records thats are also on a similarly melodic/melodramatic/melancholic vibe? i can't get enough of that stuff...make me cry!! T_T
but yes, any help with that would be much appreciated, thanks!!
wow. i am truly blessed, thank you!! the song i was referring to was intact nature, the very first song on track 1 of that mix...that melody just took me as soon as i heard it. so simple yet, so hypnotic...the kind of melody i live to discover...thanks!!
(Notes on cover from Bertrand Blier, Director : "I'd asked Philippe Sarde for some depressing music...but i didn't know being that depressing was possible")
are you also a fan of xarhakos' work? are you familiar with his catalog of movie soundtracks? i noticed that he has a lot of traditional greek works, and a few contemporary sounding stuff with slight greek influences...i was hoping you could make some recommendations as to some of his contemporary sounding stuff...he has so many releases i dont even know where to start...so far i've only heard girls in the sun, red lantern, lola, all of which i loved...any input would be appreciated, thanks~
Another Stavros Xarhakos OST is Rembetiko from 1983, has anyone heard it? Just curious if it's any good.
Also, does anyone happen to have any Pisano albums that have not yet been posted here?
Here are is a documentary series from Channel 4 called "Eurotika" ... maybe some of you would enjoy it. Featured directors include Franco, Rollin, Bava, Argento, Larraz, etc. Six episodes have been shared so far.
Sorry to be such an absentee host, my bad really, hopefully these scores will make up for some of my time away, first off some of the requests (most of them have been filled, but there were a few that I had that other people hadn't upped yet):
@ JP, Yes, I was referring to his musicological, rather than his botanical, exploits. Von Köchel is famous primarily for making the first definitive discography (or whatever they called it before there were discs) of the works of Mozart (a list which later scholars have since expanded upon).
I was referring to the fact that, for us, your De Roubaix posts of a year ago similarly constitute the definitive foundation for a collection of his work (which other scolars, primarily Segroeg, have since expanded upon). ;)
Thank you for the new set. I'm looking forward to checking them out.
It's not a big stretch that be was a botanist and a musicologist. Botany is interesting, especially when you think of the similarities there are to a musical archivist/collector. Both pretty obsessive things to get involved in! :)
What a job that must have been compiling all of Mozart's work.
Glad you liked the de ROubaix collection, he is (was) one of my all time favourites, it's a shame he didn't have a more prolific output like Morricone or Umiliani, that would have been even better!
with a mega post like that, who could be mad at ya? thanks for all those treats...especially the xarhakos...am i the only one in his fan club around here? you guys are all sleeping some great music!!
I love Stavros, great stuff! I;ve got one other LP of his called "Dark Of The Sun" for some BBC documentary, but I haven't finished ripping it yet, I will post when It's done!
@ Filmpac, Thanks for all your continued efforts in recent months to put great music in touch with people who appreciate it. Perhaps you could keep an eye out for a non-128 of the De Angelis bros.' La Polizia incrimina, la Legge assolve.
@ 3410 - Please, don't go singling me out for special attention like that, I am but one of many who it has been (and continues to be) a privilege to be associated with. Many, yourself included, bring a plate to this music-fest. Re "La Polizia Incrimina", yes, I can certainly do better than 128, but will have to be an overnight upload. Coming soon:))
@ janus2810 - As the original requester of the De Angelis "Cannibal God", I cannot thank you enough, very much appreciated! Not had a chance to listen to the whole batch yet, much looking forward to.
@ library209 - Terrific to see you here. I am but a novice when it comes to library records, and am far more likely to sample one by a name I recognize, who worked in movies. There was a time not so very long ago when I only recognized just a few European composers, but that has changed, courtesy of the many fine folk here.
What is it with you guys and numbers after your names? LOL!
@ Filmpac, - Oh, of course, but I can't go around thanking the appropriate person for each and every great share. Therefore an occasional more general thanks to various people seems an appropriate way to express gratitude. :) (3410 is from the days when I got most of my LPs from the "3 for $10" bin.)
Thanks for all sharing until now.I have some requests from european cine-scores forum
Andre Hossein - Point de Chute(Falling Point) Eric Demarsan,Michel Legrand,Francis Lemargue - Section Spéciale(Special Section) Philippe Sarde - Folle a Tuer Franco Campanino,Gigi Campanino - I Guappi(Blood Brothers) Nicola Piovani - Marcia Trionfale(Victory March)
@ 3410 - Ah, right, yes I remember you mentioning the "3 for $10" thing about your nick before. Coolio:) Here ya go mate, nice upgrade for you, thanks to the original poster...
Bit of a mega post here, two 500MB files full of French EP's, all kinds of great stuff, been compiling these for awhile. This will be my last post for a bit, apparently revenue Canada has decided to audit me (for what reason I don't know, I have no money, I spend it all on records) So, compiling paper for the taxman will be my job for the next little while, on top of my regular work.
So, that being said, enjoy these, there are a ton of great EP's here, too many artists to list, but, just as a taste, Magne, Hossein, Sarde, Legrand, Leccia, you get the idea.
"La Minute de Vérité" @128kbps: http://rapidshare.com/files/128921157/Paul_Misraki_-_La_Minute_de_V_rit_.mp3.html
And Pierre Adenot's Paris Je t'Aime: http://rapidshare.com/files/128941511/Paris_je_t_Aime.rar.html
+ my list of requests :) : - "Corto Maltese" (Piersanti) - "Il Caîmano" (Piersanti) - "Le Train" + other films by Granier-Deferre (Sarde) - "Le Choc" (Sarde) - "Le Crabe-Tambour" (Sarde) - Musiques Originales de Films vol.4 (Misraki) @320kbps (contains "Sans Famille" & "Montparnasse 19") - Musiques Originales de Films vol.3 (Misraki) @320kbps (contains "La Minute de Vérité") - "Aujourd’hui Peut-Etre..." (Misraki) - "Un si Joli Village" (Misraki) - "Stress" (Misraki) - Any score of Maurice Jaubert or Joseph Kosma for Marcel Carné (or other director)
filmpac, i can't speak for the other people but i am still a graffitti writer at heart, even though i don't draw anymore...so i just add my area code to my name. well i know janus' is his birthday (since we share the same birthdate!)...btw thanks for the michelini - anna, quel particolare piacare rip, great record i'd been wanting to hear. if someone could fulfil my request for piccioni's anna karnena that would be awesome!
I never need an excuse to toss up a new Micalizzi, and this is one I've not seen shared before. But who knows, it does get kinda hard to keep track. This is one of those latter Terence Hill & Bud Spencer flicks, where they play Brazilian millionaires and their lookalikes...
another library, this time by alessandroni, de masi, etc. the 5 tracks by alessandroni are from his classic prisma sonore record on sermi...great morriconesque music
"CINECOCKTAIL CALIBRO 3" CD @320 Featuring music by: Armando Trovaioli, Carlo Rustichelli, Ennio Morricone, Francesco De Masi, Franco Micalizzi, Guido De Angelis, Maurizio De Angelis, Riz Ortolani, Stelvio Cipriani
Does anybody have the bonus tracks to Bacalov's "Roma Bene" to share?
10. Uma bossa pra Dede (movie version take 1) (02:52) 11.Una villa bene (longer-movie version) (03:16) 12.Roma bene (bossa slow) (03:50) 13.Rhythm (instrumental-movie version) (04:35) 14.Sylvia's earrings (longer-movie version take 2) (05:12) 15.Una villa bene (longer-movie version take 2) (03:50) 16.Uma bossa pra Dede (movie version take 2) (02:41)
I'm trying to get Adolfo Waitzman - Pension Paura OST (@320) from slsk with no luck, does anyone have it handy? if not, i'll share it here whenever I finally get it ;)
Thought I'd put this request here to give us two shots at getting it. Was a limited edition from 2005.
Never heard of this composer, but count me in, it looks really intriguing!
@ herffi - wow!!! again, you come thru for me, with the quickness too. thank you kind sir for the andy loore. i really didn't expect to see any of those requests fulfilled, i am indebted to you.
@ bryan x could you upload the first part of that cd too? janus2810's upload (big thanks to him too) was from the lp i think, and it was lower quality. it would be really great to have the whole cd @ 320 kbps :) cheers
@ ghost in reverse - You said of Pensione Paura, "A truly haunting movie, and so's the score. I love it."
Just listening to it this morning and I love it as well. Thanks for sharing this score! Pity that Adolfo Waitzman didn't write music for more films.
@ bryan x - My thanks too for the Bacalov complete. My plan was to pair it with "Milano Calibro 9" on a Cd. Sadly, the bonus tracks put the combined time over 80 minuets. "Calibro" is a tough Bacalov to pair with anything else he's scored. I figured "Roma Bene" had enough rock elements in it that it might work.
As the saying goes, "back to the drawing board." ;)
pairing up with "milano calibro 9", you should consider "concerto grosso" by the new trolls, the record actually is the soundtrack to the movie "la vittima designata" and is a collaboration with bacalov. the records "l'uomo" and "palepoli" by osanna (performers of "calibro"), are highly recommendable, too, though no movie/bacalov connections on these. then there is the album "contaminazione" by italian prog group il rovescio della medaglia, also with bacalov collaborating. these records are very popular so you should be able to find them quite easily.
@ sergroeg - Sounds very nice! Do be careful if you decide to take up surfing, waves...that is. :) Have a safe journey & come back soon mate!
@ bryan x - I'd like to hear the "concerto grosso" by the new trolls. And to show some gratitude for you help with this, here's a re-up of the D@gored release "She Had a Taste for Music" Cd@320 Various Artists
From MovieGrooves: "Superb selection of tunes from 60's and 70's erotic and porno movies including Emanuelle and the White Slave Trade, La Gatta in Calore, Sesso matto, Alla Ricerca del Piacere/Hot Bed of Sex and others..."
thanks for "She Had a Taste for Music". i found a link for "concerto grosso": http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=cea0de3e6f6bee2db444dfc137d5ea3f on http://elsapopasuche.blogspot.com/2008/05/new-trolls-concerto-grosso-per-n1.html
I thank everyone who shared with me some of the soundtracks that I have been searching.I dont really want to disturb anyone with my insisting requests but it is very important for me.I apologized everyone for my obsessive searching. If someone has some of them and wants to share I will be grateful. These are my last requests.I promise :)) thanks for your understanding.I'm still looking for these titles but I havent found them yet
1.Angelo Francesco Lavagnino - La battaglia dell'ultimo panzer
okay...not so much asking for a request here, but more for some recommendations...
i've been sort of in an introspective and moody state of being as of late, i'm in need of some new inspiration musically, and i am seeking something tragically beautiful...a very particular melodramatic, beautiful, yet melancholic perhaps even dark sound?...i guess to put it simply, some beautiful music in a minor key...so hard to describe but i guess some examples would probably communicate better what im looking for...think Yann Tiersen's 'Comptine D'un Autre Ete L'Apres Midi' from the Amelie OST, or Joe Harnell's Incredible Hulk theme...Jerry Goldsmith's main theme to Cassandra Crossing...i hope i'm making sense here, but i was hoping some of you guys could help me out...many thanks!!
I'm really surprised Ashes And Snow got so few downloads, given the composers involved. Can only assume because its a documentary that nobody saw, but is well worth a listen.
Guess nobody really dug the 45's, or didn't bother to download them, trust me, there is some awesome stuff in there, but, I dunno, maybe I'm out in left field with this stuff. No comments makes me think it was not liked.
If anybody downloaded that stuff, and liked it and or hated it, let me know.
I'll post some new stuff soon, times is just kinda hard right now
omi....i would have to beg to differ...i apologize for not thanking you enough for that ridiculously awesome post. i've been meaning to ask you, were all those files compiled from various ep's from your personal record collection? i found that almost all the music had this ineffable quality or perhaps mood i should say underlying the whole compilation...there were so many i liked, but off the top of my head, one composer who stood out to me was andre hossein, who i was unaware of before i heard your post...thank you for putting me on to his work!!
i honestly can't justify the lack of gratitude or response, because now that you mention it, i really did happen to particularly enjoy that share. please forgive the lack of feedback...i'm ashamed of myself for not giving props where props is definitely due...
Thank you for the French 45's collection. Absolutely crazy.
Any chance to provide with the following:
Michel Legrand : Polly Maggoo EP Michel Magne : Brigade anti gang EP (including Fuite, Surboum à la PJ) Michel Polnareff : Rabelais (including la Danse de Gargantua) Pierre Cavalli : Crise Pierre Fanen : La Michetonneuse
More over should it be possible to repost before summer holidays:
Lalo Schifrin : Grabado en vivo live in Buenos Aires 1970
The late Andre Hossein was Robert Hossein's father. He was a composer who wrote music scores for the films of his son and other movie directors as well. In 1958, Robert Hossein was 31 years old and directed his third movie, "Toi Le Venin" aka "Blonde In A White Car", after "Les Salauds Vont En Enfer" ("The Wicked Go To Hell") and "Pardonnez Nos Offenses", and for the third time he called his father for the score. The music of the first two movies had not been really noticed but the score of "Toi Le Venin" became a huge hit and made the fame of its composer. It was immediately released on a 45 EP and I was one of the numerous teenagers to buy it to play it in parties. Many moons later I bought a CD dedicated to the film music of Andre Hossein which I'd like to share here. It contains tracks from the following movies: "Toi Le Venin" (Blonde In A White Car - Robert Hossein - 1958), "Les Menteurs" (The Liars - Edmond T. Greville - 1961), "Les Scelerats" (The Wretches - Robert Hossein - 1959), "Une Gueule Comme La Mienne" (Rendezvous - Frederic Dard - 1960), "La Menace" (The Menace - Gerard Oury - 1961), "Le Jeu De La Verite" (The Game Of Truth - Robert Hossein - 1961), "La Loi Des Hommes" (Law Of Men - Charles Gerard - 1962), "Le Gout De La Violence" (The Taste Of Violence - Robert Hossein - 1961), "Le Vampire De Dusseldorf" (The Secret Killer - Robert Hossein - 1965), "L'Homme Qui Trahit La Mafia" (The Man Who Betrayed The Mafia - Charles Gerard - 1967), "Une Corde, Un Colt" (The Rope And The Colt - Robert Hossein - 1969). "Toi Le Venin" comprises three tracks on this CD where there were five tracks on the EP. So, as bonus tracks I have added the two tracks of the EP which are not on the CD, one of them being the end title ("Blues A La Nuit"), a shorter version of the main theme. You'll find the complete artwork included a 16 pages booklet with comprehensive liner notes written by Robert Hossein himself. I have added the front and back covers of the EP which is telling us that the Orchestra was conducted by Jean Medinger and that the score was composed by Andre Gosselain. If you want to know the relationship between Andre Gosselain and Andre Hossein, I advise you to read the interesting liner notes which are in both languages, french and english. Here is the link:
Robert Hossein mentionned that his father worked around the same type of formation as John Lewis's MJQ, often with added brass. He says that in films Andre Hossein had "Jazz in his blood". It is true to say that most of the scores on this CD are treated in a very jazzy way, so I'll post it also in "Quinlan's Jazz Speakeasy Shop".
i cannot put into words how much i appreciate that Hossein share!! i love it!!! This is the music i've been consciously and unconsciously seeking out...hoping to discover. listening to it for the first time was quite a magical experience for me, i cannot thank you enough..i don't know why but this music resonates sdeep into the depths of my soul, i wish i could express it into words but i cannot...his choice of chord progressions, instrumentation, the moodiness and soulfulness of it all...i love it. Hossein just shot his way up the ranks of my top favorite composers of all time now, thanks to you. (no exaggeration).
If anyone has the Twist Ag@in au Cine 1, i'll be more than happy to listen to some incredible 60's and 70's muzak. It's all about songs from movies (gotta listen to that french version of You only live twice!), and this and there, get some, among others, George Garvarentz and so on...
For all the Manos Hadjidakis fans, spotted a couple of Greek soundtracks. Available from the... Stigma Rest Room
@ janus2810 - Yep, I've got your massive singles collection bookmarked to download too. Please don't rush off to delete the links, big downloads like these need time to pick the right moment, when the computer is not busy doing other stuff. Thanks for sharing them!
Thankyou very much for all great OSTs! May I ask you "La Casa Dalle Finestre Che Ridono" (Amedeo Tommasi - 1976)? Maybe there isn't an original issue for this Pupi Avati horror masterpiece but... Who knows?
@ janus2810 - Thank you for the time and effort that no doubt went into making these records available. The Ep market is something was never approached by record companies here in America. This is a wonderful document of music that many of us will not see available ever again. It gets my vote for "Post of the Month".

One for you library afficionados, a high class compilation from the BMG production library. Features some top name composers, Morricone, Nicolai, Trovajoli, Bacalov, Piccioni, Miccalizi, and many more...

@ paskalya - Thanks for the Andre Hossein, very much appreciated. One tough request list you got there, but I did manage to find this one. Thanks go to the original unknown ripper...
@ mizoram - I don't believe I've seen postings from you here before. As the shop owners are out, allow me to welcome you to our community! Thanks for the Cipriani!
@ filmpac - Way to go #1! You seem to have a knack for finding obscure Trovaioli's. Thanks!
@ quinlan - Re the link list, please delete the spreadhseet link for this album that I posted on 1st August. It was shared using ShareOnAll, this upload service has officially closed its doors. Thanks for everything you do mate!
@ amintore: sorry for giving you a bad piece of news but there is no tape recording the original score for "La casa delle finestre che ridono" into label's archives neither mr Tommasi has kept a tape of it, so you'll only get a dvd rip of the soundtrack in the best case scenario.
@ mizoram Reur post of August 9 http://rapidshare.com/files/136125739/MATRALLETA_STEIN.rar Do you have a composer's name for it? Is that "Metralleta", music by Carlos Orozco? Thank you for your attention
here is the tracklist: 01 Chicago 80 02 La dimostrazione 03 Verso l'ignoto 04 Santos Club 05 Mato Grosso 06 Antla 07 Antla 08 Telemark 09 Il giardino degli angeli 10 Il giardino degli angeli 11 Antla 12 Tema di Anna 13 Ricordi nel Bosco 14 Night mood 15 Il mio sguardo e' uno specchio
does anyone know who composed each of the particular tracks? I only know that 'La dimostrazione' & 'Telemark' was penned by Patucchi. An LP back cover would be a big help :)
and thanks Mizoram for your uploads. they're fantastic!
I have another Andre Hossein EP here, "Les Yeux Cernes" this is the one that got me onto him in the first place. The First time I ripped it I didn't switch my turntable to 45RPM and ripped it @33RPM, I liked it so much I kept both versions, check them out, be interested in hearing some opinions on the slow spooky vibe that the slower version captures, here it is, hope you all like it!
Oh, and to answer a question someone asked a long time ago, a lot of these EP's were mine,m they have all been sold in the meantime, and, I got a lot of EP's from a friend of mine who was gracious enough to let me rip them. They truly are an untapped little realm of the Euro OST world, so much great stuff! Love the jazzy/spaced vibes on so many of these!
Les Yeux Cernes is amazing!!! i can't get enough of the Hossein shares!! i'm hooked. i've been lurking around soulseek hoping to find more, but with no luck...seems like our man Hossein is one of the best kept secrets around! thank you for continuing to satiate my ears...
Hello Dear friends I decreased to my requests twelwe requests from this forum bu You certainly know I dont really want to disturb anyone I want to see everyone is happy.İf you can help me? I will be very happy .These list are my last requests Please help me!!!!!!!!!.Please help me!!!!!!!.

Dear Friends, Your efforts have been a GODSEND to me these past couple weeks. I have been collecting soundtracks off and on for over thirty years. My wife FINALLY agreed to a high speed line. It's been a childhood CANDY STORE for me to acquire scores that I could never have dreamed of finding. Your kindness to others has been overwhelming!!!! Hopefully, I can begin to repay you once I get my PC-ready turntable set up. Contact me publicly or privately and I will dig out what I have. Again many many thanks!!!! Best wishes,
steveoguy
My "TO DIE FOR" wants: BIXIO's Diario Segreto Da Un Carcere Femminile CIPRIANI's Sette Di Marsa Matruh,I FIDENCO's Commando Di Spie HALLETZ's Pyramide Des Sonnengottes, Die / Schatz Der Azteken, Der LAVAGNINO's Marcia O Crepa POITEVIN's Quella Carogna Dell'Ispettore Sterling, Tecnica Di Un Omicidio, Un Detective RUSTICHELLI's Probabilita Zero UMILIANI's Intrigo A Los Angeles
I second what Isbum said, it is nice to see people saying thanks and appreciating the work that goes into doing this, we live in a very impersonal world these days where it is very easy to just go and grab your music anonymously and nobody will ever know. Saying thanks makes people happy. I was just over at Hippy Dj-kit's blog and he has a little thing that says "leave a comment (makes me feel better) couldn't have thought of a better way to say it. So, on that note, thanks to all who have been posting great music here, and all over blogland, it has certainly enriched my music collection and my life and is much appreciated!
@ janus2810 - Major props on both! I've made an alternate cover for "The Hired Killer" and re-posted "Intrigo a Los Angeles" in Quinlan's Jazz Speakeasy so he and Mel could check it out.
I've been looking for the soundtrack to the 1961 Antonioni film for years:
La Notte (The Night) by Giorgio Gaslini
According to soundtrackcollector.com there is a SLCS Japan CD with track listing
1. Lettura Della Lettera (04:08) 2. Ballo Di Lidia (03:08) 3. Voci Dal Fiume (05:38) 4. Quartetto Sotto Le Stelle (03:18) 5. Blues All' Alba (05:48) 6. Valzer Lento (01:44) 7. Notturno Blues (02:58) 8. Finale (01:05) 9. Jazz Interludio (03:06) 10. Country Club (00:55) 11. La Notte (Suite) (19:56)
@ georges - Found, Pino's Catacombs, lurking in the bowels of The Green Inferno blog. Only @128 bitrate, but better than nothing, second your request for an upgrade.
@ janus2810 - I confess to being one of the unmentionables you mention. In my defence, I am yet to have a listen, its sitting on my hard drive unrarred, unplayed, and unloved. So for now, please accept my humble but hearty THANKS for sharing until I can come up with something better. Seriously, I appreciate each and every one of your super Euro scores. Cheers!
Does anybody know if Umiliani's Al Tropico del cancro has ever been released anywhere? Bought the movie in Italy (and loved it too) but unfortunately can't seem to find the score. Gotta love that main title!
@ isbum : not at all. It's a curious mix between a Giallo and an B-grade erotic/exotic adventure set in Haïti. With Anita Strindberg. That says it all. But a real curio. And the music, gawd, the music! I just recorded the main title from the dvd... Umiliani as its best.
@ Ghost - I know what you mean. When he's inspired, he can surprise even someone who thinks they know what to expect. That's just my experience though.
@ spektro - I thought someone requested this, had to dig up the original request, turns out to be you. IMHO, interesting, but less than inspiring. But even cut-rate Pino is better than none...
@ Vladimir Cosma fans - I got a copy of this Lp and want to know if I should rip it. IF ALL of this material is available on Cd I would rather not loose time on ripping it.
Here is the track list: 1.Salut l'Artiste (03:00) du film SALUT L'ARTISTE 2.En Sifflotant (02:10) 3.Nicolas et les Femmes (03:58) 4.Les Mysterious Boys (02:00) 5.Evening Pop (02:43) 6.Transparence (02:37) 7.Le Rendez-Vous Derrière la Vitre (01:40) 8.La Déchirure (01:50) 9.Sirba (02:03) Side Two - du film LE GRAND BLOND AVEC UNE CHAUSSURE NOIRE 10.Babouchka (02:00) 11.Mozart Massacre (02:50) 12.La Femme Rêvée (03:20) 13.Bela's Blues (02:05) 14.Doina (03:15) 15.Le Grand Blond (02:22)
@ manucosma - Thanks, I thought as much. The record shop clerk only checked it through Amazon and nothing there came up. Ya takes yer chances, ya pay yer dues. ;)
haha...funny thing is i've done the same thing over in the asian cinema section as well, if you will recall...you had your "hattori hanzo's drawn". lol.
Krzysztof Komeda - Le Départ (1967) Jazzy score to a Belgian comedy (the film itself is hard to find)
http://rapidshare.com/files/140727977/kld.rar
files come from a Japanese expanded reissue that's likely out of print, as the only place I find a reference to it is on soundtrackcollector. I found the rip long ago. Features Christiane Legrand on one vocal track
hey janus...thanks for all the shares...i try to keep up with the amount of mp3s you have but i just can't do it...you are truly the master of the mp3 rip ! :)
here is a nice library i just picked up recently...i shared it on my blog in case you guys don't check it it's here too:
rigol / blue sharks - itinerario beat
http://www.zshare.net/download/17713084923ef78a/
groovy lounge/jazz funk/beat with a stripped down sound with organ, bass, piano and drums only.
cheers, mate, you're just great! Can't imagine my happiness....and 320kbps too!! (also thanks a lot to H2o)
I know you guys outhere probably own many of the OST available from famous european movies, especially italian, but I uploaded some gems anyway:
- Arrmando Trovajoli masterpiece (from the movie "Casanova'70", watch it if you can, it's really funny): http://rapidshare.com/files/141264151/Casanova70.zip
- Fiorenzo Carpi Masterpiece from Comencini's "Pinocchio" : http://rapidshare.com/files/141280663/FCarpi-Pinocchio.zip
- G&M de Angelis (Oliver Onions) great score: http://rapidshare.com/files/141272765/G_MdeAngelis-Piedonelosbirro.rar
I also have another request for a rare OST by Daniele Patucchi, it's:
"Il paese del sesso selvaggio" aka "Man from deep river" aka "Deep river savage"
I already found something on the web (cut and of a terrible quality) If you have it and share, I would appreciate!

Thanks very much for Suono Libero.

[BTW, all, Volume two - an absolute classic great rare funky Italian Library collection - is here.]
@ filmapac -
wow...Brutti, Sporchi E Cattivi is one monster of a soundtrack. I didn't know our man Armando could come so correct on a soundtrack...do you know if there are any more he did that are in a similar vein? Thank you for sharing that with us.
sorry for the not-so-good link
I have some requests:
sonorissima 2
masoch party club
exclusive blend 4
mosaico psichedelico 2
Big thanks in advance
Hey, no probs, Herffi; I worked it out.
i have a request:
does anyone have piccioni's - uomini contro soundtrack ? been curious about this one a while but have yet to hear it.
here is another library share:
remigio ducros - misticismo (leonardi sl 29)
http://www.zshare.net/download/147503695024b9b1/
oh yeah, i know this is european cinema blog but does anyone mind if i share libraries ? they are sort of soundtracks...if it's a problem please let me know.
wanted to say again, i love this sanctuary of great music! hello all and thank you for the great shares. i have been in contact with janus for a year now sharing back and forth but i do not know the rest of you (although a few of you have commented on my blog shares). hope to get to know you.
another request: piero piccioni's anna karenina...turd or good ?

Thanks to the original sharer!
@ library 209 -
omi...i can assure you that a problem it is not!! i think i speak for the most of us when i say that we are always more than eager to grab a good library share when they do come around (unfortunately, not often enough). for instance, the [coloursound] alessandroni library records i posted a few weeks back were about double the number of downloads i usually get for other typical soundtracks i post...so by all means, please don't be shy!! go all out with the sharing! we will glorify you and call you our hero for your efforts!! :D
Richard Eldwyn - Jazz Pour L'Action, a french library record off of the [MPI](Musique Pour L'Image) imprint, released in 1969.

but yes, any help with that would be much appreciated, thanks!!
tripmastermonk...
i'm not sure which track you mean but here is sonoton - biology (walt rockman)
http://www.zshare.net/download/147733492ae551ae/
@ library209 - First off, thanks for the kind compliment!
Secondly, we all welcome your shares here!
If I may ask one thing.
Could you specify library from soundtracks for those passing through who are not familiar with the differences?
tripmaster...here is another one you might like...library on sonoton called underwater, also by rockman.
isbum: i will indicate whether it is a soundtrack or library, it should usually be obvious but sometimes it's not.

@ Library209,
Thanks for the Ducros. Not what I expected - similar to a certain type of Morricone score, really, so pleasantly surprised.
@ library209:
wow. i am truly blessed, thank you!! the song i was referring to was intact nature, the very first song on track 1 of that mix...that melody just took me as soon as i heard it. so simple yet, so hypnotic...the kind of melody i live to discover...thanks!!

Piero Piccioni "Uomini Contro"
http://rapidshare.com/files/127551910/piccioni_-_uomini_contro.rar
I don't have Anna Karenine, but i doubt that Piccioni ever composed music that could be qualified as "turd" ;)
@Eda-88
Sorry, i checked my cds, and didn't find le "Choix des Armes"
But you requested "Beau-Père" and i ripped it for you @320 :

segroeg, thank you so much for the piccioni.
here is a terrific soundtrack to an italian tv movie about colonialism.

@Everybody thank you, this shop goes well :)
@ Segroeg,
please don't be sorry, you've made already so big great posts!
Thank you for Beau-Pere,
hope i'll fond covers from that.
Thanks for Uomini Contro
I'd like to find all the scores of Picconi for Rosi movies...
I'll looking for Egisto Macchi from Un Delitto Mateotti if that was released...
I've downloaded Lucie Aubrac-great score, will upload...
But from Philippe Sarde still looking for the one last request that can't download from e-mule.
It's Philippe Sarde for Marco Ferreri-especially La Grande Bouffe, solo played Michel Piccoli...
Romantic theme.
Thanks!
Great shop!

are you also a fan of xarhakos' work? are you familiar with his catalog of movie soundtracks? i noticed that he has a lot of traditional greek works, and a few contemporary sounding stuff with slight greek influences...i was hoping you could make some recommendations as to some of his contemporary sounding stuff...he has so many releases i dont even know where to start...so far i've only heard girls in the sun, red lantern, lola, all of which i loved...any input would be appreciated, thanks~
Hello everybody
I don't know why but if you click on the date of my last comment you will have Fred bongusto peccatto venale
enjoy !
@ Herffi
thanks for the Bongusto, i love his albums.

Enjoy All! I promise to try to be here more often, life has jsut gotten out of hand for me and I have no time for any sort of fun these days!
JP
@ JP,
Yes, I was referring to his musicological, rather than his botanical, exploits.
@ Library209
Hey buddy! Good to see ya in the 'hood!
@3410
@ janus2810 -
with a mega post like that, who could be mad at ya? thanks for all those treats...especially the xarhakos...am i the only one in his fan club around here? you guys are all sleeping some great music!!
@Tripmaster
I love Stavros, great stuff! I;ve got one other LP of his called "Dark Of The Sun" for some BBC documentary, but I haven't finished ripping it yet, I will post when It's done!
I should point out that the "Panoramici" LP that I posted is a library LP and not an OST

@ all - Not quite sure how Herffi manages it, but if you click on the date you'll get the mediafire download for his carlo savina post there. Weird.
Thank you!
N'Joy! JP

I have two different copies, but both have either missing or damaged tracks.
Thank you.
I never need an excuse to toss up a new Micalizzi, and this is one I've not seen shared before. But who knows, it does get kinda hard to keep track. This is one of those latter Terence Hill & Bud Spencer flicks, where they play Brazilian millionaires and their lookalikes...

# fauxter : if no one beats me to it, i'll upload Pensione P@ur@ later on.
A truly haunting movie, and so's the score. I love it.
@ bryan x - Thanks for the Bacalov extras brother! At 320 no less!
Also thanks to janus2810 for the original released tracks!
Aces! Another highly enjoyable Bacalov for my collection. :)
@ 3410 - A very belated thanks for the "Electric Banana" post.
Somehow, I find this music cheerful and reminiscent of sounds I grew up listening to.
Thanks!
@ bryan x
could you upload the first part of that cd too? janus2810's upload (big thanks to him too) was from the lp i think, and it was lower quality. it would be really great to have the whole cd @ 320 kbps :)
cheers

@ bryan x
thank you, i really appreciate it.
@ ghost in reverse - You said of Pensione Paura,
"A truly haunting movie, and so's the score.
Many thanks for filling my request, Ghost in Reverse!
I almost finished downloading it yesterday, but then the slsk user logged off :D

pairing up with "milano calibro 9", you should consider "concerto grosso" by the new trolls, the record actually is the soundtrack to the movie "la vittima designata" and is a collaboration with bacalov. the records "l'uomo" and "palepoli" by osanna (performers of "calibro"), are highly recommendable, too, though no movie/bacalov connections on these.
then there is the album "contaminazione" by italian prog group il rovescio della medaglia, also with bacalov collaborating.
these records are very popular so you should be able to find them quite easily.
Many thanks to all my friends in this place for the wonderful shares, and for their comments too.
I'm going to take a break on the sea side for 3 weeks.
I hope you will have good summer holydays.
See you soon.
@ Segroeg,
Have a good vacation. Thanks for everything. Hopefully there will be some exiting things for you when you return.
@ sergroeg - Sounds very nice! Do be careful if you decide to take up surfing, waves...that is. :)

@ bryan x - I'd like to hear the "concerto grosso" by the new trolls.

Gee, that was fast.
Thanks a lot, Library209 !
okay...not so much asking for a request here, but more for some recommendations...
i've been sort of in an introspective and moody state of being as of late, i'm in need of some new inspiration musically, and i am seeking something tragically beautiful...a very particular melodramatic, beautiful, yet melancholic perhaps even dark sound?...i guess to put it simply, some beautiful music in a minor key...so hard to describe but i guess some examples would probably communicate better what im looking for...think Yann Tiersen's 'Comptine D'un Autre Ete L'Apres Midi' from the Amelie OST, or Joe Harnell's Incredible Hulk theme...Jerry Goldsmith's main theme to Cassandra Crossing...i hope i'm making sense here, but i was hoping some of you guys could help me out...many thanks!!
@ tripmastermonk - Two quick suggestions right off the top of my head. Neither are Euro, but both are recent uploads of mine at the Filmscorium...
(1) The Elephant Man
(2) Ashes And Snow
I'm really surprised Ashes And Snow got so few downloads, given the composers involved. Can only assume because its a documentary that nobody saw, but is well worth a listen.
@ filmpac - thanks!! that elephant man theme really hit the spot. amazing piece of music rite there.
Request:

"Bandes Originales Des Films De Louis De Funes Vol.2"
For the Garvarentz and Cosma music.
Thanks in advance!
I'll post some new stuff soon, times is just kinda hard right now
JP
@janus2810 -
re: the 45's collection...
omi....i would have to beg to differ...i apologize for not thanking you enough for that ridiculously awesome post. i've been meaning to ask you, were all those files compiled from various ep's from your personal record collection? i found that almost all the music had this ineffable quality or perhaps mood i should say underlying the whole compilation...there were so many i liked, but off the top of my head, one composer who stood out to me was andre hossein, who i was unaware of before i heard your post...thank you for putting me on to his work!!
i honestly can't justify the lack of gratitude or response, because now that you mention it, i really did happen to particularly enjoy that share. please forgive the lack of feedback...i'm ashamed of myself for not giving props where props is definitely due...
@ Janus 2810
Thank you for the French 45's collection. Absolutely crazy.
Any chance to provide with the following:
Michel Legrand : Polly Maggoo EP
Michel Magne : Brigade anti gang EP (including Fuite, Surboum à la PJ)
Michel Polnareff : Rabelais (including la Danse de Gargantua)
Pierre Cavalli : Crise
Pierre Fanen : La Michetonneuse
More over should it be possible to repost before summer holidays:
Lalo Schifrin : Grabado en vivo live in Buenos Aires 1970
JP,
I'd totally forgotten about that post, having put it aside till later, due to its large size. Got it now, though. Thank you.
Does anyone have a copy of Jean Musy's score to "Chanel Solitaire?"
I had a friend who had the LP but he said it was such a poor pressing that it wasn't worth transferring to digital format.
Thanks!
It contains tracks from the following movies:
"Toi Le Venin" (Blonde In A White Car - Robert Hossein - 1958), "Les Menteurs" (The Liars - Edmond T.
Here is the link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/132494897/AndreHosseinFilmMusic_mp3.rar
Enjoy.

@ quinlan -
i cannot put into words how much i appreciate that Hossein share!! i love it!!! (no exaggeration).
thank you for the blessing.

Carlo Savina - cari mostri del mare ost ? Anyone ?
Hey everybody! It's all good as far as the response went, I really was just checking to see if anyone was digging it.
Andre Hossein is one of my absolute favourites, I have a few more of his EP's as wel as a couple of LP's.
Hope all is well with all of you, I will check back in soon with some more music for y'all.
Thanks Dave for posting my Bongusto, slipped my mind, should have posted it here to begin with! :)

sorry for giving you a bad piece of news but there is no tape recording the original score for "La casa delle finestre che ridono" into label's archives neither mr Tommasi has kept a tape of it, so you'll only get a dvd rip of the soundtrack in the best case scenario.

@ paskalya - This repetition of your requests is not working. I believe it's had the opposite effect.
Give it a rest, please.
@ Paskalya
What Isbum said
@isbum
By reading,I had the impression you are thinking that I am "Paskalaya":
I am not, even if I used the same word in my message.
@ georges - Not the case at all.
You have requested only,
Pino Donaggio's "Catacombs" once here and once in the Filmscorium.
@isbum
Thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately,I have no material to share music but I like this blogg ,it's a true peaceful place.
@ georges - It's nice that you let the ones who post here know how much you appreciate their shares.
Being friendly is as important as sharing. :)
Did any of the 42 people that downloaded "tecnica di un Omicidio" from me like it? :)Or the 33 that grabbed "Intrigo a los Angeles"? *grin* JP
@ janus2810 - Major props on both!
I've made an alternate cover for
"The Hired Killer" and re-posted "Intrigo a Los Angeles" in Quinlan's Jazz Speakeasy so he and Mel could check it out.
Have you been to Jean's Janus?
Hey,
I've been looking for the soundtrack to the 1961 Antonioni film for years:
La Notte (The Night) by Giorgio Gaslini
According to soundtrackcollector.com there is a SLCS Japan CD with track listing
1. Lettura Della Lettera (04:08)
2. Ballo Di Lidia (03:08)
3. Voci Dal Fiume (05:38)
4. Quartetto Sotto Le Stelle (03:18)
5. Blues All' Alba (05:48)
6. Valzer Lento (01:44)
7. Notturno Blues (02:58)
8. Finale (01:05)
9. Jazz Interludio (03:06)
10. Country Club (00:55)
11. La Notte (Suite) (19:56)
Can anybody help?
@ mike - I have collected everything by Giorgio Gaslini that I can find, but haven't got this one.
I 2nd your request. Bring on The Night if anyone has it, please.
@Isbum
What a pleasure to be in your place :)
I don't know what to post :(
Perhaps a quick easy quizz for you, one of my favourite tracks :
Just a tip :
My first name is the same
http://rapidshare.com/files/139331511/GLTMS.mp3
Delerue's "A Little Romance"?
@ georges - Found, Pino's Catacombs, lurking in the bowels of The Green Inferno blog. Only @128 bitrate, but better than nothing, second your request for an upgrade.
@ janus2810 - I confess to being one of the unmentionables you mention. In my defence, I am yet to have a listen, its sitting on my hard drive unrarred, unplayed, and unloved. So for now, please accept my humble but hearty THANKS for sharing until I can come up with something better. Seriously, I appreciate each and every one of your super Euro scores. Cheers!
@filmpac
Thanks for the information;it will be an opportunity to discover this interesting score, but hard to find.
@Isbum
Luci di cristallo (tema di Andrea) from Giorgio Gaslini's "Le tue mani sul mio corpo", wonderful score probably shared by Janus2810.
Thank you again and again JP.
@ Segroeg - Drove me batty trying to place that track. Your name clue added to my confusion.
It was fun Andrea Luci Giorgio. ;)
Does anybody know if Umiliani's Al Tropico del cancro has ever been released anywhere? Bought the movie in Italy (and loved it too) but unfortunately can't seem to find the score. Gotta love that main title!
@ Ghost - I don't see even an Lp listing at S.C..hmm.
So, this is based on the book "The Tropic of Cancer"?
Pino Donaggio "Un Delitto Poco Comune (aka Off Balance)" (1988), @256:
http://rapidshare.com/files/139407281/PD-DelittoPocoComune.zip
Just so anyone reading this isn't sure (paskalya?), all requests are taken seriously. Some take longer than others. Peace out, enjoy!
@ Vladimir Cosma fans - I got a copy of this Lp and want to know if I should rip it.
IF ALL of this material is available on Cd I would rather not loose time on ripping it.
Here is the track list:
1.Salut l'Artiste (03:00)
du film SALUT L'ARTISTE
2.En Sifflotant (02:10)
3.Nicolas et les Femmes (03:58)
4.Les Mysterious Boys (02:00)
5.Evening Pop (02:43)
6.Transparence (02:37)
7.Le Rendez-Vous Derrière
la Vitre (01:40)
8.La Déchirure (01:50)
9.Sirba (02:03)
Side Two -
du film LE GRAND BLOND AVEC UNE CHAUSSURE NOIRE
10.Babouchka (02:00)
11.Mozart Massacre (02:50)
12.La Femme Rêvée (03:20)
13.Bela's Blues (02:05)
14.Doina (03:15)
15.Le Grand Blond (02:22)
Let me know. :)
@ manucosma - Thanks, I thought as much. The record shop clerk only checked it through Amazon and nothing there came up.
Ya takes yer chances, ya pay yer dues. ;)

I noticed copies of these at Amoeba last night (surprisingly priced 15.99).

I felt a tad sorry for you tripmonk.
I know how exciting finding something new by a favorite composer can be.
We all get our hopes dashed once and a while. :(
haha...funny thing is i've done the same thing over in the asian cinema section as well, if you will recall...you had your "hattori hanzo's drawn". lol.
I do recall that!
What a tense moment! LOL!!
Krzysztof Komeda - Le Départ (1967)
Jazzy score to a Belgian comedy
(the film itself is hard to find)
http://rapidshare.com/files/140727977/kld.rar
files come from a Japanese expanded reissue that's likely out of print, as the only place I find a reference to it is on soundtrackcollector. I found the rip long ago.
Features Christiane Legrand on one vocal track
@ fauxteur - We must have been thinking alike!

"Homo Eroticus" by Armando Trovajoli
http://rapidshare.com/files/141189997/AT_HomoEroticus.zip
* I'd be guessing, but I think this came from our friend H2o.
I'm guessing that because it includes a cover scan the way he usually does them.
EnjoY & Welcome to Franklynot.
@isbum
cheers, mate, you're just great! Can't imagine my happiness....and 320kbps too!!
(also thanks a lot to H2o)
