1 – 200 of 891 Newer› Newest»As Isbum's not around at the changing over time let me Welcome everyone to yet another month!
(don't they go quick!)
As I'm first in line I have a request...
THRILLERS!
I'm putting together another entry in my Crime Jazz series of comilations and need some help :)
I'm going for a 70's Thriller type of collection but want to use something more than the usual stuff churned out on these albums.
If anyone has anything they think would fit I would be very grateful for the help. If it gets used on the album you will be credited on the cover.
To give you an idea of the sort of thing I'm looking for, here's some examples...
Escape From Alcatraz
Charley Varrick
The Hot Rock
Telefon
The Mechanic
Thunderbolt & Lightfoot
I've grabbed the MacKintosh Man and The Anderson Tapes shared here recently :)
Just single "Main Theme" tracks is all I need (any source will do)
You can drop any links here or at my place.
Thanks in advance for the help :)
This is just a repeat request since we started a new month.
Hello all,
I am looking for the Phantom Manor (Disn@y) by John Debney( adapted and arranged), original music by Buddy Baker.
Anyone have leads to this rare item?
Wonderful original artwork done by Lost Scores here:
http://lostscores-pagemaster.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2009-02-25T00%3A05%3A00%2B01%3A00&max-results=15
As usual, thanks for any help.
Does anyone have midnight(1981) by quintensence?
Thanks a lot.
Also a repeat request because of the new month:
Does anyone happen to have the score to the series of short films BMW produced a few years ago called "The Hire"? I know some big names were involved, and I think there is an 11-track bootleg, but I can't seem to find it.
Any help would be great...
Thanks!
@ Southview212:
Thank you very much for Georges Delerue - Un Homme Amoureux.
I left pagemaster65 a message for the other one in the Artw. Dept.
Thanks again!
@ all:
Just wanna make 3 requests (2 new, 1 old):
***REQUESTS***
---> James Newton Howard - Dave @ 320 kbps or lossless
---> Jerry Goldsmith - Rudy (regular 10 tracks release) @ 320 kbps or lossless

***REQUESTS***
Thanks for any help! ;)
Wild, I saw the request (for the 3cd version of Shogun) while reading what I missed since Sun, but didn't know it was filled. Thank you very much!
I would like to re-post this, b/c I completely forgot that we were gonna change pages to welcome April. :P

Wow, I've been away for a cpl days and I missed so much.

@GoblinScore, thx for The Flinstones! Sorry I don't have your request (My Demon Lover). :(
@Tlkjwe, you're welcome. =)

Request away. =) I want to add that it might take a while for me to upload them, but I will get back to you. If you see I have something @128 and you have it @192 or higher, can you send it my way? It would be very much appreciated. Thanks again!

@ Ms. Boricua
Has anyone ever told you that you have a lot of time on your hands? ;)
That being said, I clicked on each and every single one of the links you provided.
@Budarc, what gave you that idea? lol :P I know, I know! I blogged (sp?) about it to my friends, so all I did was copy and paste the links. :P
@Gremlin, I took it too. Grazie mille! :D
Cool, I really enjoy this stuff and I like this one better than ours, Disney World in Orlando.
But the Haunted Mansion is one of my favorites.
and I remember as a child wanting that song the ghosties sang on the ride.
@ gremlin
I took it, too, because that's what all the cool kids are doing. ;)
http://www.sendspace.com/file/lu9mps
Heres The Haunted Mansion from Disney World.
@gremlin
Thanks very much. I didn't have a lot of hope that anyone could provide this.
I should have known better.
I grabbed it because I want to be cool also, peer pressure ya know.
Does anyone know if a soundtrack for Lady and The Tramp 2: Scamp's Adventure was ever released?

dignitaries and heads of state.
Thx to BCC for this one!
"Doering recorded over 84-minutes of music for Elfman, all on the ukulele."
I would love to hear that!!!!!
Y'all think A.R. Rahman can pull off that end tittle? I dunno but I can't imagine Terminator with a Bollywood song. :/
@Budarc, or is that last part an April Fool's? :P Thx for the news btw.
Forgot...
The lp rip is VBR (avg 209 kbps). Ripped by the scene group BCC.

@ Ms. Boricua
Be sure to listen to the "clip" from the recording sessions, near the bottom of the page! :P
crap, totally missed that. brb, checking it out.
P.S. Any Big Brother fans here? I'm very, very bored and while googleing (so not a word, but) ended up finding the soundtrack for Big Brother Israel (I think is Israel, can't understand the cover), lmao.... I dunno, don't ask.
Anyways, anyone interested?
@ budarc
Oh man, I started getting worried for a second. But you know I really did dig the music clip, I wonder if anyone has a dowloadable MP3 of that? It's actually quite cool, I'd really love to have it. It would be a nice little add on bonus track to put in my Terminator music folder. I'm sure someone savy person out there much smarter than me has figured out how to harness that music. Perhaps if they have, they'd like to share? Anyone? Oh well, thanks for the link budarc.
God bless.
LMAO! I'm so glad A.R. Rahman is nowhere near Terminator. Nice one Budarc! :P
Anyways, here's the track....

@ ms b - Can you keep an eye out for any LP rips you find that contain covers? Front and back please, always looking for any titles not already posted at the Arthouse.
@ isbum - Thanks mate, some great titles never heard of :)
@eda-88 - You posted really nice cover scans to Basil Poledouris' "Mickey Blue Eyes" promo. Any chance you could share the score? Thanks!
For sure Filmpac, I'll check my hard drives this weekend and see what I can send to the Arthouse. =)
Thank you very much for them 2. :D
@Octagonproplex, Great minds think alike, eh. I just ripped the song from that site. :P
Just want to say that great blogger Smooth recenly posted Pat(rick) Williams' "Dreams and Themes" (1983).
http://myjazzworld.blogspot.com/2009/03/patrick-williams-dreams-themes.html
It contains themes from "Lou Grant", "M*A*S*H", "Devlin Connection" and number of jazz tracks by mr. Williams and his orchestra.
L'Homme Orchestre (LP Rip) - Francois De Roubaix (1970) @VBR, 14 tracks.
http://rapidshare.com/files/216377662/L_Homme_Orchestre_LP_Rip_-_Francois_De_Roubaix_1970.zip
Gallic genius composer François de Roubaix's eclectic soundtrack to French director Serge Korber's mad comedy/musical from 1970 starring Louis de Funès. Cult and very rare soundtrack. Amazing jazz & symphonic pop groove with female chorus and a pinch of psychedelism. Heavy beats with effects, wild organ and superb string arrangements.
Ripped by the scene group BCC.
L'Homme Orchestre - Francois De Roubaix (1970) - Notes: tracks 1-15 @192 & 16-22 @128. Re-Issued CD released in 2001.

Just curious since I missed it; what was the first Elfman April Fool's all about?
Some of you may be aware of this, already, but I may as well explain it to those unaware...
BSX records (buysoundtrax.com) has released, on crystal-clear CD quality, a soundtrack to "Jake Speed."
I was aware of the LP release, but was shocked to hear something like this.
I would have said something sooner, but I was busy - College and stuff...
Anyway, I am expecting a CD copy on the way; WARNING, there are 1,000 units and the first 100 are autographed by Mark Snow - I am also expecting an autographed one, myself.
On a lighter note, I have managed to find a rare-as-hell copy of the soundtrack to Willy Bogner's "Fire and Ice" on CD, so I will share it with you the day I receive it.
I do, however, have it on cassette, and I would share some of the songs with you all, but my cassette player is acting a little funny.
Anyway, I will get back to you all on this shortly.
Take care,
-SB
@ Score-Brother - ANY order from BSX is a serious matter. ;)

Hi all,
Is anyone can upload(for a SNS...) the last releases of Joe Harnell soundtracks(Incredible Hulk, Bionic woman...)?
Very thanks for your help.

Here's a long post.
I have a terrible chest/head cold combo, so, blame that if I screw this up. Lousy timing, we go to court tomorrow morning at 8:30.
I'd appreciate any good thoughts you can send our way.
We're not expecting a win, just that we get fair treatment in court.
Now, some music from me.

Mick Harvey - celebrated arranger, multi-instrumentalist, producer, film soundtrack composer and co-founder of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and The Birthday Party - releases his second compilation of film music.
And this strange Cd,
"Fantafestival Vol.1" 1991 Cd @320
By
Gianni Dell'Orso
http://rapidshare.com/files/216437096/VA_FantafestivalVol1.zip
which came with the booklet signed "To David Kraft...
the beginning of new Cd's made in Italy! Claudio 1991"
This struck a memory, and one I don't think I've shared.
Sadly, David Kraft passed away, but some here may know his brother, Richard Kraft, who's agency represents many of the current film composers.
When a funeral for Jerry Goldsmith was announced, I posted a comment on a message board that I wanted to attend but had no transportation to the service.
Richard asked me to phone his office. When I did, he offered to pay for a taxi to get me to the service. I was deeply touched.
I ended up paying the fare, but was far too shy to go through the crowd looking for Richard. It was a beautiful day, but a sad farewell to Jerry Goldsmith.
Ok, then.
I'm done.
Enjoy the music!
Isbum,
My guess is that that CD might be from Claudio Fuiano, producer of a lot of Italian soundtrack issues. You'll often see his liner notes on many of those GDM CDs.
Best of luck for the hearing. Are you representing yourselves?

@ isbum
I wish you the best of luck for tomorrow.
Good luck, Isbum.
"I used to dream about flying. It went the same way every night; I realized that I could fly -- no, that's not quite right. I realized that there was no reason I COULDN'T fly. And after that, I'd float off the ground and soar above the city. But I haven't had that dream in a while now. Lately, I dream about more ordinary things: doing my laundry, shopping for groceries, or riding on elevators. I wonder why that is?"
I'm trying to track down the melancholy, minimalist score to "Special" (Specioprin Hydrochloride RX) by Tom Wolfe and Manish Raval. It's kind of a sad, deeply affecting piece. But the film is so hardcore indie that I can never hope to see the music in any way or form, unless it's a leak or I get ahold of the composers. Or, most likely, I'll probably end up ripping it myself...
"Not looking forward to returning to my old life, but the truth is, with so many billions and billions of people on the planet, most of us can't be unique or important in any meaningful way. We go to sleep, we wake up, we go to work, we eat, we spend time with friends, we watch TV...maybe we even fall in love. But we don't have any magical powers, and we don't have any great battles to fight. No evil forces to defeat, and no mysterious men in suits chasing after us. We just have reality. And believing anything else, is just...well, believing anything else is just crazy, isn't it?"
@isbum - Get well and good luck.
@Tlkjwe - I can help with one of your requests. Not my rip. Thank you to the original uploader.

@Mr. Remember, uploading now. =)
Don't need Arctic Tale by Joby Talbot anymore.
Hi everybody,
I have a little request/question for you guys:
http://img.skitch.com/20090401-1891kgnj7kgn2g9h47bce3x8c3.jpg
I love the sound track of the movie "The Looking Glass War" (and the movie as well), and I wonder if the music was released on either LP, Cassette or similar.
If so, could anybody upload it please?
I know the music is by Wally Stott who became Angela Morley latter. There is only one track of this movie (TLGW Theme) featured in the CD Film & Television Music of Angela Morley.
http://img.skitch.com/20090401-n1j7bmjqcrqmmeuqkmxspaa658.jpg
This CD contains music since she was Wally Stott, but appears as "by Angela Morley" and is performed by John Wilson & His Orchestra. All these things make me believe that this CD doesn't contain the original sound track.
So please any information about the existence of a full The Looking Glass War Sound Track is highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot,
lmao! I meant luck! but if you want to lick your case, is fine with me. :P
@THXjay
What comment was that?
@Mr. Remember, I forgot to say that since is new, I will post it with the other soundtracks tomorrow (SNS).

I would like to 2nd the rest...
Young Doctors In love
Mourir a Madrid
Moon Over Parador
Fearless (specially this one)
Thx in advance!
Got the LP rip for Dr. Uploading too. =)
Here's my rip from "Special" by Tom Wolfe and Manish Raval, since no one asked.
The titles I made up are nonsense titles; so if I ever see this "promo" score lying around another website or blog, I'll know where it came from. :P
10 tracks
21 min
50MB
320K
Special
Check it out - or I'll kill you. :P

Thx to the original ripper, dunno if I got it here or in vagos, sorry. :/
Mr. Professor of sound archeology, I sent you an e-mail. :D
I'm so bored you guys. Where's everybody?
Whatever, I guess I'll do laundry and I'll be back later. :P
Doctor Zhivago (LP Rip) - Maurice Jarre (1965)
http://rapidshare.com/files/217159671/Doctor_Zhivago_LP_Rip_-_Maurice_Jarre_1965.zip
Got it from a torrent site. I dunno if GrandTheftBinary4200 was the ripper, but it was the uploader, so thx!
forgot, @320 also.
Does anyone know what happened to eda-88? Seems to be gone. All I see is a "Banned User" message.
@ ms b - Right you are, you yapping away to yerself hehe. Are we still in need of that Richard Rodgers "Valiant Years" thing?
@ bond1965 - Yep, sadly eda-88 has indeed been b@nned. A total bummer of a day. Word on the street is he is in the process of regrouping, and will advise us all later.
PS. Have never ever seen "Young Doctors In Love" shared, anywhere on the planet. If this does indeed exist, it now ranks #1 on my Holy Grail list. That spot used to belong to the elusive Mandingo, so anything is possible.
PPS. GrandTheftBinary4200? Thought #1 would be it can't be his rip, for obvious reasons. Thought #2 would be shouldn't he be GrandTheftBinary0111010110110101?

I was going over my Jarre's and this download was a real piece of work.
The tracks weren't numbered, fairly common, but each track came with a matching white box which is like a .rar file.
I sorted it out.

Much obliged for Portman's 'Pyromaniac's'!
As always.
@ Princes Valiant, all
Hey I ripped Gran Prix (Actually, it's the Chapter III double feature CD with the original LP versions of Gran Prix & Ryan's Daughter paired up). Rapidshare is glitching on me today though. The artwork package uploaded no problem, but the music just loads and loads but never completes. I'm giving up on it for awhile, but will try to get a link for this again later today.
@luckymike: thanks, though I am looking for the FSM version. I have the chapter III.
Don't worry about rapidshare, it works if you leave the upload running (for me it takes about 35 minutes). It seems everyone has that rapidshare anomality.
@ Filmpac - Many thanks for scouting out The Hills for us!
Perfect soundtrack for the Helter Skelter going on inside my body!
Sick & twisted stuff mate!
Hi All: does anyone have Carmine Coppola "Napoleon"? Greatly appreciated in advance.
@filmpac
Thanks!!
@ THXjay
Here's some of those requests fulfilled, the Alcatraz track is a 15 minute suite so you'll have to do some jiggery-pokery to hive off what main theme there is.
http://rapidshare.com/files/217716385/70s_Requests.rar
Somebody at FSM posted this:
"About 10 years ago I found a 2-disc CD set of Andre Previn songs which he'd written over the years for film and stage and recordings---ostensibly a "promo" put together by his agent as an audio resume to promote new work in this area for him, I suppose. It included songs from DAISY CLOVER, as well as other film soundtracks, London and Broadway cast albums, and LP recordings. While I had most of the original albums and scores, the songs are often buried in the overall score, so it was amazing to hear so much of this material at one time, not only gathered in one place, but of such imaginative and melodic quality."
Anybody have this set, or something similar? Thanks!
@ Princes V.
Thanks for the update. Yeah, never had this particular RS problem...I've had uploads take 30 or 40 mins before, but this one takes even longer, says it's complete, but doesn't give me a download link. Never had a day's problem with RS in the past, so rather than b***h about it, I'll just keep trying til it's working again. But I won't mess with sharing the Chapter III version since you already have it.
Hi Guys i have some requests
does some one have these titles with 320kbs
The Time Machine - Klaus Badelt
Ladies In Lavender - Nigel Hess
Son Of The Morning Star - Craig Safan

"jiggery pokery" "hive off"
Can you do all that in public without getting arrested?
words of warning!!
there is a version of Taylors Rise of the Argonauts Game score that locks up your ipod or at least it locked up mine.
I tried it from two different sources, which was a gamble I know but after awhile my ipod calmed down and I could reset it.
@ GilinAZ - I hope you are doing Ok.
Unusual not hearing from you since the month started.
Although I did not think A. R. Rahman's Slumdog Millionaire was a good score, I did enjoy some of his other scores such as Water. Here is a compilation of some of his works. Thanks to the original poster.

Hello everyone - I haven't had a chance to read through all the posts since I've been gone, but I did want to again convey my sincere thanks for all the support and words of comfort I received from all of you after the recent death of my mom. It would be hard to convey how grateful I am to all of you, and especially to my great friend Isbum. Iz, I hope you are feeling better and your recent travails are settled favorably.
Because I have been away, I haven't caught up with the Jarre memorial posts, so I don't know if my contribution is unique or not, but I have posted an old LP of Jarre's theatre music over at the Big 10-Inch Record - http://big10inchrecord.blogspot.com/. This LP contains some of the composer's earliest scores.
@ seasy - I have the Ron Goodwin Jaunty Jalopies score on my to-do list for filmpac, so if you haven't had that request filled, I'll be getting to it fairly soon.
@ All - My post as been deleted. Thank you to all of you for the wonderful SNS. See you the next one ;) I'm always follow the request of course if I can help.
@Steve - Thanks again for your help!
@my comment above
I found out that ipods freeze up from time to time and I found out how to fix it, still I had some troubles with Tylers Rise, not sure why it plays in my other mp3 player and not the ipod, oh well.
Hi friends!
Please, only one request:
SONS AND LOVERS - MARIO NASCIMBENE
Thanks in Advance!
Hi Steve,
Thank you very much for that link.
This blog column of comments goes so fast that fooled me to the point I missed your reply.
This might work better in the "Twitter" format ;)
Steve, if you have more information about the source of this tracks please let me know: names, album, year, cover image, anything...I would appreciate it.
I promise to share with you (and the rest of the group of course) whatever I can find in my quest.
Thanks again and...
Be seeing you,
I don't exactly know what you mean, Isbum....I've been posting :-)
Also...I'm OK.
Gil

If so, does anyone have it?

Hello all:
I think this discussion has come up before, but does anyone know a good way to remove SFX and dialogue from a DVD score? I'm trying to produce one from the BMW Films project. Does anyone have any thoughts? I am pretty familiar with Audacity, but I'm wondering if there are other options...
E
@Maimone Digital
Thank You, Thank You & Thank You...
That set is Awesome, I can hardly wait to get this one on CD! It's much better than the Chapter III release!
Cheers \(°•°)/
@Donovans Brain
Thanks Very much for this, it brings back good memories of a better era when Television was more fun to watch.
Best Regards!
@ E-Man
Hi,
In the MAC OSX 10.5 (Leopard) I (could) be able to do that with "ffmpegX"(application), if the layout of the DVD allows it.
Once, I had to go trial and error with the tracks until I got it.
If they (FX, voices, etc.) are not mixed together in one file you have chances.
http://img.skitch.com/20090406-qqe7a19tq5a9dyxqjp3us399r.jpg
I'll be tracking this for any simpler way.
Good luck,
BTW...
I just noticed that when I looked up info on the "V" The Series [Super Tracks DMCD-02] on Soundtrack Collector >>> http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/catalog/soundtrackdetail.php?movieid=48249, that there are at least 2 more CD soundtracks from Super Tracks that would be nice to have, If Anyone has these, Please let Me know...

"V" Original Soundtrack [Super Tracks JHCD-01]
Thanks For Your Time! \(°•°)/
@MacDream
Thanks! I actually just found a plug-in for that to work in Audacity 1.3.7 - it works really well. I get about 5 or 6 tracks from the AC3 audio, and then just leave out the others. It's working pretty well so far...
Thanks!
E
@ All - Just to let you know that I'll be removing the SN Specials along with Buster's condolences post this afternoon.
You have shown me once again the true spirit of our community and I thank you all for it.
Bless you my friends.
Hi, friends!
I´m searching for Michel Legrand's Le Sauvage.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073663/
Thanks in advance!
Mabuse
@ MACDream
These two tracks came from one of a series of albums that appeared in teh very early days of filesharing (Napster I think, before it went legit)under teh general heading of Unheard Melodies. They contained music from British and american movies of the 60s and 70s and 80s, and were mostly DVD (possibly even VHS) rips o fmain themes. Whats interesting is that most of the movies featured still haven't had a proper release.
I love Stott's work especially his arrangemnet of Scott Walker's solo albums - a style you can hear in LGW.
@jean
Hello, Jean, I remember that you have requested about Helen of Troy by Max Steiner, from The Elmer Bernstein Film music Collection. They gave you the correct cd?
é Javier - Yes that's right , but FSM don't want to changing my Cd , I received this package open and they said I don't take any Insurance for that. They are Stupid! How can the postman give twice Dead of a Salesman and retired my Helen of Troy? Completely Crazy. No mater I was Interesting by the Music of Helen of Troy, I find a Bootleg 42 tracks in a shop and also the Tsunami. I'm happy with these one. it's conducted by Max Steiner it's Ok for Me. Of sure I will not paid again $.199 for one CD ;)
Jean...thanks for the "Nun's Story" links. As soon as they download, I'll listen to them.
Gil
Jean...the 2-part ZIP for "The Nun's Story" seems to be free of dialogue. It has more tracks than the original Warner Brothers LP, for one thing.
