Hi Isbum: sorry to bother you; I get an error on your recent Blue Collar posting "file not available"; is it possible to repost ... at your convenience, of course.... Thanks in advance.
@The Alchemist re my request for Lavagnino's GLI ULTIMO GIORNI DI POMPEI. I've searched all places I know. The only place I've found a link was Vagos FM, but the rapidshare link there was dead.
So, I'm still looking for the CAM-CD of Angelo Francesco Lavagnino's "GLI ULTIMO GIORNI DI POMPEI". ;)
My moniker by the way has nothing to do with Brecht (which would then be "Bertolt"). Berthold is my first name. :o)
I've been a lurker for awhile; but I couldn't help joining in the "Free Willy" ribbing. When the movie opened, I walked past the triplex showing it; the marquee read:
I just downloaded DWIGHT GUSTAFSON: RED RUNS THE RIVER (Civil War Drama) @ripped/remastered from Vynil @14 Tracks/256kBit @300dpi front/back included and it seems to me that track 11 Moments Before The Battle is damaged....when played it makes a very strange noise and the music is bareley hearable....... could you check that and fix it please or repost that track newley ..... thanks a lot in advice
Hi filmpac, in Quinlan's excel sheets there's a refernce to Charles Gross's "Country" available from your good self; do you still have access to it the link in the sheet is no longer valid. Thanks in advance!
Not strictly from films, but worth having (good addition to two of Ruggo's recent compilations) DJ/Rapper Nightmare on My Street & M. Jacks.s Thriller: Thrill-Mares @320 @ Isbum; I took the liberty of airbrushing a couple of your 8mm film scans. They're in there too.

@ Gremlin: I posted the 8-Cd set of Dark Shadows within the last 2 months. If you look back you should find the links.
@ Isbum: I know I've said some outlandish things to you lately but you've forgiven me (I hope) and are providing the scores I've asked for. I appreciate it to no end, I really do, so thanks, thanks very much.
@ TOSC: And thank you all of your wonderful shares.
@ all: It appears that Intrada is releasing the music to Dangerous Crossing. I didn't think that they would (which is why I got a rip of it made). But it's out. And, it appears that the music is by Alfred Newman & Sol Kaplan rather than Lionel Newman. I've bought a copy and will post it when it arrives (either here if it is OOP or in the Weekend Specials if it isn't) so that you can compare the two versions (along with having Harline's Pickup On South Street).
@8HZUI: I feel your pain! I'm on a Mac also and haven't quite figured out the APE thing either. I'm uploading "The Towering Inferno" (F$M Edition) now. Check back shortly...
@ The Alchemist - I don't think it's outlandish to be critical of how I, Filmpac & THXjay run this blog.
I've made no secret of my email address. Anyone who wishes to suggest how we could better serve the community here is welcome to write me. I guarantee your suggestions will be considered by us.
Latest offering at the Big 10-Inch Record is George Duning's 1958 music for the television show The Naked City. This is from the original vinyl in a lossless and - in keeping with the title - pantsless transfer.
If you've been following the main blog, you will note that I am having some serious computer problems and using a very limited backup.
But, I didn't want to start a new month without giving you something. How about a good book to go with all that music I don't have access to right now, but that you've been downloading?
This is one of my first, and still one of my favorites.
Just posted over at Ruggo And Jean's Fine House Of Compilations (because I wanted to post the artwork too):
"THE LUXEMBOURG AMENDMENT"
Reveals one of the great secrets of World War II in a modern thriller of international intrigue.
Whether it is the Winds of Jihad, the Israeli Mossad, the powers of the Catholic Church, or the ancient clandestine Italian society, Il Nostri Consiglieri, who want the secret, it could change the lives of millions.
Only one tortured man, a young seminarian, who is willing to break his vows for a first love, and his beautiful companion stand between the secret and those who would use it for unbelievable power in a volitile world.
@Steven64 - Thank so much for the JWill Towering Inferno ĺm on mp3! Butcha know what? I've found a way to decode APE!!! I just downloaded Love is a Many Splendored Thing from @rhythmic_impulse's posting (Thanks, r_i!) and dumped them into a program called X Audio Compression Toolkit (I honestly don't know where this came from) and flipped the file to WAV, then dumped these new WAV files into Switch and changed them over to mp3. Sounds like a lot of work, but the sound quality doesn't seem degraded or anything. I've checked my flip of Towering Inferno with my d/l of you files and they sound the same. You should try it next time you get stuck with an APE.
I can't thank you enough for finding a complete score to The Haunted Mansion for me.....it's more than I ever hoped for! All of the great short ques that would not generally be included are there! You have my eternal gratitude!
A new month brings new searches. In hopes that some of this even exists, and someone can help locate a few things, here's my score/soundtrack WANTED List. :)

@ Isbum: I wouldn't say I was being critical, just making a suggestion or two. Personally, I'm very impressed with all the shops at FranklyYes. And I appreciate all the hard work that you, filmpac, THYjay, and the others have done around here.
@ all: The post above contains my first successful attempt at ripping in Lossless & uploading the files. I'm an idiot because it took me this long to figure out that the files are larger so to upload them you break them up into smaller ones. D'Oh! I'd love to offer you a choice of both 320 and Lossless every time I post a score but it adds a lot of time to the process. I'm sure some people prefer Lossless over 320 and vice versa but what is the overall general consensus, would you prefer I post rips at 320 or do them in Lossless?
@Andreas - Thank you very much for 20,000 Leagues. Do you have the artwork in any other format besides pdf?
@TOSC - More great shares! Thank you.
@JSA - Thank you for The Lost World.
@The Alchemist - Much thanks for the Robinson and the Rosenman/Green. In answer to your question regarding 320 vs. lossless, I convert lossless to 320 so to me it does not matter. I'm pretty easy to please. Other folks, I can't speak for them.
@ gsw: I'm inclined to stick with 320 simply because of the time factor (it really does take forever), but thanks for your input on this (and I still want to hear what people have to say about it). Meanwhile...
Neal Hefti-Batman (TV-1966) RCA/BMG 3573-2-R CD rip @ 320

Hate to post ungratefully..thanks for the thought about the Goldsmith songs...but the tracks seem to be something different. 'The Same Air' and 'Family Reunion'?
Ryuichi Sakamoto-Commercial/Television Warner Music Japan WPC6-10244 [50 tracks!-79:51] CD rip @ 320
This is an album of music Sakamoto composed for television commercials over the years, and, even if each piece is short & pop sounding, it's worth it all for that great jingle in track 17.
@ all: I have purchased the Kritzerland CD of The Bank Shot score by John Morris. If you were thinking of buying it & haven't done so yet, don't. I will post it as a weekend special when it arrives.
@ isbum Thanks a lot again for "Harry & Tonto", with unexpected tunes "an unmarried woman". I love it both. I'll spend a happy time with Bill Conti's cute musics.

@gsw: Many, many thanks for uploading Lavagnino's "Pompei"-score. @The Alchemist and Colonel Saunders: thanks for your offers, too! :o)
"Gli Ultimi Giorni Di Pompei" was one of the first flicks I've watched in my early years of home video (more than 25 years ago, on Betamax!) and I liked the score at once.
@ Wild: I will do this because you have offered up some amazing shares to me and that will be the last time I do such a request because I simply cannot do both 320 & Lossless for every CD I post here--it just takes way too much time.
@ Wild: Jesus, I'm sorry to snap at you like that. It's just that even though I asked people in which style/process they would prefer I rip CDs in, I realize that I really can't do rips in Lossless. Even if the quality is better, it takes 4 times longer to upload all the tracks. I generally take a stack of items and upload & post them. If I did everything in Lossless, I just wouldn't be able to offer as many scores. So, unless I feel I have the time, this really is the last time I will take a request to rip in Lossless.....
@ all: Which means that if I decide to do it in Lossless, I will, but other wise I will automatically turn down all requests for a Lossless rip. I'm a softy, but you will see me say NO if you try.
Here's all the links I have for Barry Gray. Among others I'm missing FAB but I believe that has been posted here at some point. Hope you find what you're looking for . (Thanks and appreciation to the original uploaders).

@ Colonel Saunders: I guess the stress is starting to show. The Alchemist would love to accommodate everyone but he also has a cantankerous & temperamental side which shows now & again. Please don't take it personally.

@ The Alchemist - You gave me a list of Piero Piccioni's that needed re-upping. I can't find it. If you post the list in our European shop, I'll get them re-posted there. Thanks!
@ isbum: I'll look up the list & get it to you over there when I can. Thanks for asking me about them.
@ TOSC: No matter how hard I "compete" to provide the best shares around here, I'm defeated at the starting gate by all of your great offerings. I have wanted to see Mediterranean Holiday ever since I first heard about this film (which I recently mentioned to Amy Heller at Milestone as a film they should locate & re-release). I believe it was originally a German-made travelogue that someone bought & had Burl Ives narrate in an English version. I had no idea it had a score by Ortolani & I can't wait to hear what this one sounds like!
@ all: I had a look at the track listing for the Intrada CD of Dangerous Crossing and the CD has less music on it than was offered on the DVD's isolated score audio track. So, my rip isn't obsolete after all :-)
Why do you upload your lossess rips in W@V? :) They are big!! Compress them in fl@c or @pe. I compressed The Nightc0mers in flac and came up with 191 MB only :) Use free soft like JetAudion or Monkey's Audio to do that. Or rip with EAC, setting compression type.
So as you see there is no flame to start the bonfire LOL. Not even a spark :)
How do you convert an album that is a single WV file into individual MP3 tracks?
I ask because I downloaded the 12 CD B3rn$t3in Film Music Collection some time ago but it's in WV files and I want MP3s. I have no clue how to accomplish this task.
I had a terrible time getting any information, even, to up to speed on WV files. The WV websites I found were unintelligible. Then I found foobar2000, an audio player that handles everything I've ever thrown at it. I've never tried to transfer anything to mp3, but it will burn a WV file to a cd beautifully, if you don't mind that intermediary step. There's probably better answers, but there's mine.
@octagonproplex - A good tool to split a single file with a cue sheet into individual files, is the medieval cue splitter program. It's a free software, http://www.medieval.it/content/view/28/70/
I don't know if this program can accept WV files, because i've never used that format before for this program. If it's accepted, and once you have splitted to individual files, you can convert them into individual mp3's
@ octagonproplex If you use Foobar you may have to find and download lame3.98.2 as well. (Foobar help points you in the right direction for the lame source.) Once in Foobar, select then right click the file(s) you want to convert. If you don't want to convert to mp3 that's okay because Foobar plays the tracks fine though.
I can't figure how to convert to 320 though. The best I can do is 192. If you discover how to do 320, let me know.
Regarding about mp3 vs lossless shares, I will stay with mp3 files. I don't need lossless because an mp3 at 320k is enough quality for me, and quite frankly I can't hear any differences between them. And if i'm looking for the best quality possible, then it's better to buy a legit copy on CD. That's why they exists after all.
Thanks for the advise, I'm slowly trying to get a handle on all this.
@ NanM
I downloaded the medieval cue splitter, and at first it started splitting them into 320 MP3's, which is exactly what I want. But midway it stopped doing all the tracks. So I selected just those tracks (that it had stopped short of splitting) by exclusively checking them, and it split them into seperate WV files this time. I tried another volume (of the 12 volume set I have that needs splitting and converting)and now it split ALL of those into seperate WV files. Is there a way for it to split them all into 320 MP3's like it had begun to do originally?
Does anyone know a really good and easy to use free conveter for WV to MP3's at 320?
Apologies for my ignorance and thanks for your patient assistance everyone.
My experience with Medieval is that it splits the tracks into whatever the original file/cue was ripped in.
Tons of converters. I've used Easy CD-DA Extractor for ages for both converting as well as burning either Audio CDs or MP3 CDs.
@All
Although I have a great appreciation for the quality of lossless files, I am quite happy with MP3 @320. In fact, for much of my own listening use I convert everything to MP3 @320 and make nice large CDs that play forever. Occassionally I will convert to WAV and burn an Audio CD for others or the car.
I have the DVD audio ripped already. I'll look at the End Title and see what I can come up with. As far as the "Descent Into The Stadium" cue, it's pretty cluttered with SFX, sorry to say. I agree that the re-recorded version is pretty crappy.

@octagonproplex - Have you succeeded to split the files?
@Rich - Can't help you with any of your requests, but you can always go to the crime lounge, for your Bond needs. Here is The Spy Who Loved Me: http://thecrimelounge5.blogspot.com/2008/01/spy-who-loved-me-1977.html
How do I find out if a few scores I was prepping to share are in-print or out-of-print? Wouldn't want to violate the rules... I can wait for the weekend to share, if need be.
@ mcc - For scores that have a U.S. release, go to the sites that sell the scores commercially (SAE, Intrada, Varese, etc.). If any of these sites are selling the CD's as new (not used), it's a safe bet it currently in print. I believe the wonderful people who administer this site allow a score to be shared if it is over 2 years old....therefore, add the date when you submit your shares for others to appreciate.
Yeah, thanks to you I'm able to successfully split the files using "Medieval Cue Splitter".
Now I'm just trying to figure out the best way to convert them from WV into MP3. I wish their was a splitter that would also convert them.
I still have my ears open for any advise anyone may have on this issue. Ruggo suggested "Easy CD-DA Extractor" which I may try, but tomorrow, I'm worn out for today.
@ Wild: I didn't know what FLAC or APE even was two months ago. I had never done any P2P file sharing before 2 months ago. I was trading cdrs with people through snail mail & didn't want anything to do with mp3s. I'm an old fogy and all of this is newfangled whipper-snapper stuff to me. And, for now, I feel more comfortable ripping & sending @ 320. I'll experiment with compressing in FLAC and if I get the handle of it & if it doesn't add too much time and bother to the process we'll see. But for now, it's good ole 320!
@ Wild: Also, when I compare the numbers of downloads where people have the choice between the 2 styles, the 320 downloads top the Lossless ones 2 or 3 to 1.........So, the people have spoken!
Hello, everybody! Do someone already have the FSM release of the soundtrack of GREEN M@ANSIONS, a 1959 Bronislaw Kaper adaptation of brasilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos's music?
@ Javier: I never found Pompei but in looking for it, I did find these:
A Mario Nascimbene Anthology [Joseph & His Brethren/Doctor Faustus/The Barefoot Contessa/Sons and Lovers/Where the Spies Are/Light in the Piazza/Romanoff and Juliet/etc.] DRG 32960 CD rips @ 320
VA [Conducted by Jeff Alexander]-Alfred Hitchcock Presents Music to Be Murdered By Franz Reizenstein/Muir Mathieson-Circus of Horrors (1960) DRG/EMI 19098 CD rip @ 320
These are re-issues of two Imperial LPs from 1958 & 1960 (LP-12005 & LP-9129). They make an odd pairing on one CD, but hey, I don't decide things for DRG...
Hi Isbum et al: I saw the art work for Rosenthal's "Who'll Stop the Rain". I can't find any reference to it being in/out of print. If out of print could someone post; if not I'll defer my request until SNS time... Thanks in advance....
Yes, It's True! The long awaited sequel to the film that started the CGI revolution, will be released in 2010. Since 2008, as it was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con, there where rumors that Daft Punk would score the film. I was a bit worried when I learned that Daft Punk is scoring the film, but giving a listen to the teaser used at this years SDCC changed all that, at least for Me.
Here's 2 versions @ 320 kbps, which were featured and used for the Tron Legacy Lightcycle unveiling at the 2009 SDCC (see Premier link below).
Tron Legacy Theme (1:58) http://www.mediafire.com/file/ly5wotzwywz/Tron%20Legacy%20Theme.mp3
Tron Legacy Theme (4:48) http://www.mediafire.com/file/zmjmzmri4e3/Tron%20Legacy%20Theme%20(Reworked%20By%20Cryda%20Luv).mp3
I've been listening to His work since He did the 'Fieldwork' project with Thomas Dolby back in '85. It also opened the doors to YMO and Logic System, among others, to this unique style of music that has become part of My collecting of Rare CD's. Looks Like I'll be adding this one to My shopping list as well.
Thanks Very Much
@ All
MEGAFORCE - Jerry Immel [MCA 26016021] (1982)
The only thing I found so far is a rock group called 707. The first track is called Megaforce and was used in the film. This score is extremely hard to find, so if anyone has it, please help if You can.
On a side note...
I would once again like to thank all that post here, as most of the scores I have collected from this forum have been inspirational to Me as I listen to them while writing a film script. This forum also helps Me to prevue rare sought after scores that I might find on ebay, but unwilling to shell out what little funds available to Me (a writers curse). Hey, If I stayed in So. Cal, I'd be seen standing on the freeway exits with a sign - 'Will Write for Rare Soundtracks'. lol.

@ WriterDirectorCollector: Glad I could offer up something you liked. I have some Yellow Magic Orchestra and other non-film related Sakamoto albums but I don't have the Thomas Dolby "Fieldwork" music (and I love Dolby--The Golden Age of Wireless is one of my favorite pop/rock albums). Do you have this to upload & share with us here?

Having a conversation with a friend the other day he came across a find in a flea market.
" One dealer had a box set of VICTORY AT SEA. No, no, not the Readers Digest box set which is NOT actually VAS. This one was a large, dark blue plan box with the title on the front: VICTORY AT SEA, MASTER RECORDINGS. This is a three LP set containing the music as found on the original RCA lps. But these were taken directly from the master recordings and recorded at 1/2 speed. This kind of recording was considered the premier of lp recordings. They were done in true stereo, or so the accompanying book states. There is a book with the set explaining how the recordings were done. Still reading it. The set states "limited edition", but nothing to indicated just how limited. I have been researching it and so far have found only one mention of this set but no details at all. First time I've ever seen one, let alone heard about it. This is a near pristine set. I'm not sure if anyone ever played it more than once or twice. You ever heard anything about this set? My own contacts claim no knowledge of it. It is not a bootleg. Its a real release from RCA but oddly, no RCA label on the box itself. Only on the albums and the book which comes with the set. The label on the records is also different from the label on the regular release lps. All very mysterious. Maybe you could ask around and see if anyone has heard of this set."
The info on it " Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, Original Master Recordings, Limited Edition
And thats all it says, ID-wise. I wonder if the "150" means there were only 150 produced? I cannot even find a date on these recordings. Not sure just when they were made. I am guessing sometime in the 60's? I just don't know. I'm going over everything once again in search of fine print. The booklet has that late 50's to early 60's feel about it. There must be something somewhere...."
@ Honored General: Never heard of it. But did your friend buy the thing? If not, can he go back & get it? Obtain & transfer it first, figure out what the heck it is later!
@ WDC: Thanks for the Sakamoto I don't have. Even for posting Golden Age of Wireless for folks to discover! I don't have the UF album. I looked over the tracks on it & felt I had them all elsewhere on other albums. I posted these scores before, but so you don't have to go look for them, here are two harder to find Sakamoto scores....
Tracks- 1. (Part One) (18:14) Fantasmagoria--Byronic Love--Shelleymania--Mary's Theme--Party Games--Gipsygirl--The Crucifix--The Fundamental Source--Sin and Buggery--Impalement--Skullpulse--Leechjuice--Restless Sleep 1, 2 & 3--It's His! 2. (Part Two) (25:44) A Trickle of Blood--Coitus Per Stigmata--Once We Vowed Eternal Love--Riddled With Guilt--Metamorphosis--The Hangman--The Beast in the Crypt--The Final Seance--Funeral by the Lake--No Ghosts in the Daylight--To The Grave--The Devil is an Englishman
Thank you for the links to "Friends" and "The Great Waldo Pepper." I had previously found THREE other links to "Friends," but they were ALL dead. You found me a live one!
Months ago I posted the first, original, "The Best of Mancini": Best of Mancini (RapidShare) It was, in fact, a reconstruction from digital sources but I could not find a replacement for the second track, "Timothy", which I retained from a cassette source. The Alchemist's posting today contains the errant track. This is A BIG DEAL to me. Finally, the full "Best Of" soundin' real good.
I'm in desperate need of some help. I'm attempting to put together a Marc Shaiman/Rob Reiner project, but there are several scores I currently don't have. Anyone who could assist with this would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking for the following...
- Ghosts of Mississippi - The Story of Us - Misery - Alex and Emma - Rumor Has It
Again, all help is greatly appreciated, and I'll be glad to try to provide some music you're looking for in return. Thanks in advance!
@ Wild - Pretty funny coincidence the MrLeecher post. I've wanted to compliment your style of posting for a long time now. I think they're GREAT! Fun to look at and easy to find too! Unless you are using a search engine, that is. ;)

THE FIRM
FREE WILLY
WHAT'S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT
Thanks for all you people do!
Nice Flurb! Thanks for a good laugh!
Just re-posting these. The end of the month hit and I'm not sure if they got aired properly.

@ Cigarous: If no one else posts this first, I will post The Cobweb for you later tonight.
@BB1968: Still no luck finding Pompei but I haven't given up!

Hi all,
Latest offering at the Big 10-Inch Record is George Duning's 1958 music for the television show The Naked City. This is from the original vinyl in a lossless and - in keeping with the title - pantsless transfer.
http://big10inchrecord.blogspot.com/
Hope you enjoy it.

@flurb
Your movie Marquee for Free Willy, etc. was a hoot. But the all time classic at the Pacifica Theater near San Francisco was:

None of these are my rips. Much thanks to the original uploaders.
You guys enjoy!
@ mmc: I'm interested in all 3! Put them up! Please, if you would....
@ Isbum: I wouldn't say I was being critical, just making a suggestion or two. Personally, I'm very impressed with all the shops at FranklyYes. And I appreciate all the hard work that you, filmpac, THYjay, and the others have done around here.
isbum thanks very much for reposting Blue Collar + Performance: the latter is not only one of my favourite films but a super soundtrack.
@ all: At last look, there have been 103 downloads for NBNW. Wow!
@ BB1968: I'm glad someone came through for you even if it wasn't me!
@ Cigarous: In answer to your request....

I'm sure some people prefer Lossless over 320 and vice versa but what is the overall general consensus, would you prefer I post rips at 320 or do them in Lossless?
...because, personally, even if 320 isn't 1000+ I like that everything goes into one easy file to upload & download:

@Andreas - Thank you very much for 20,000 Leagues. Do you have the artwork in any other format besides pdf?
@TOSC - More great shares! Thank you.
@JSA - Thank you for The Lost World.
@The Alchemist - Much thanks for the Robinson and the Rosenman/Green.
In answer to your question regarding 320 vs. lossless, I convert lossless to 320 so to me it does not matter. I'm pretty easy to please. Other folks, I can't speak for them.
...also, it really does take forever to do, but I am willing to go the extra mile for folks:

The files don't have track titles but they can be found here:

@ gsw: I'm inclined to stick with 320 simply because of the time factor (it really does take forever), but thanks for your input on this (and I still want to hear what people have to say about it).

Thanks,

@Christine Cougar
More than happy to help you out. Like I said, it wasn't my rip and I got it from someone else so I'm happy to pay it forward. It is a fun score.

Sorei, thanks for the Project X!!!
@ The Alchemist
Very thanks for "The Cobweb/Egde of the city"!!!
Enjoy!
@Colonel Saunders
Here's all the links I have for Barry Gray. Among others I'm missing FAB but I believe that has been posted here at some point. Hope you find what you're looking for .

Wow, guys! Amazing shares!
You made my day.

Can someone share Ron Goodwin's "Force 10 from Navarone", the complete F$M edition? In mp3, please...
You guys and gals are great!
@ stereoelf and all:
Will get you Fab in about an hour if nobody beats me to it.
@ Colonel Saunders: I guess the stress is starting to show. The Alchemist would love to accommodate everyone but he also has a cantankerous & temperamental side which shows now & again. Please don't take it personally.

But that incredible list of Barry Gray links has put a great big smile back on my face. For that, I thank you ;)
Superb!

To Mcc:
I have Europa (Zentropa), wonderful score 14 tracks Virgin label. A nod to Vertigo on one track. Any choice on how you would like it ripped?.
@ The Alchemist - You gave me a list of Piero Piccioni's that needed re-upping.
I can't find it. If you post the list in our European shop, I'll get them re-posted there. Thanks!
Anyway possible to get the isolated score on bluray from Young Fanrkenstein.
On the subject of composers' songs; wouldn't this make a great run of compilations?
Here's a nice Goldsmith I found (not my rip - thanks to the uploader). Only in 128 but a good song.

@ joeytino: Is 320 possible for Europa? I can't handle lossless. :p
@ 8HZUI & Wild: Thanks very much, guys! It'll be a busy night tonight! Looking fwd to hearing them! :)
@ alchemist: No worries, man. FOR ALL MANKIND: CRITERION is a pretty sweet disc!
@Trident
Thanks for adding to the list.
This was in the soundtrack section at Amoeba, but I don't think it's really a soundtrack.
Cover was too cool to resist.
"Blackout"

*sorry but I can't find any info on this Cd.

@Steven64: many thanks to you!
So, my rip isn't obsolete after all :-)
Is there any expanded or complete versions for the following Goldsmith's scores?
THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS
BAD GIRLS
THE EDGE
GREMLINS 2
CONGO
Yes? Can anyone share it, please?
Thnx!
@The Alchemist about "the flame" :):
Why do you upload your lossess rips in W@V? :) They are big!!
Compress them in fl@c or @pe. I compressed The Nightc0mers in flac and came up with 191 MB only :)
Use free soft like JetAudion or Monkey's Audio to do that. Or rip with EAC, setting compression type.
So as you see there is no flame to start the bonfire LOL. Not even a spark :)
@ colonel saunders - Give this one a spin. Can't guarantee it of course, but it sounds different to the Black Sunday Suite I have...
Black Sunday - 26 - Detonation/Titles 04:48 <---
@ tosc - WOW, simply amazing shares, I can't keep up. THANKS!
@ alchemist - 320 is fine by me, I need much faster bandwidth before I go FLAC... not to mention a whole new drive!
@ bossellis - County, haven't forgotten, coming soon-ish.
QUESTION/HELP
How do you convert an album that is a single WV file into individual MP3 tracks?
I ask because I downloaded the 12 CD B3rn$t3in Film Music Collection some time ago but it's in WV files and I want MP3s. I have no clue how to accomplish this task.
Thanks guys.
@octagonproplex:
Foobar is free: http://www.foobar2000.org/
@octagonproplex - A good tool to split a single file with a cue sheet into individual files, is the medieval cue splitter program. It's a free software,
http://www.medieval.it/content/view/28/70/
I don't know if this program can accept WV files, because i've never used that format before for this program.
If it's accepted, and once you have splitted to individual files, you can convert them into individual mp3's
@ octagonproplex
If you use Foobar you may have to find and download lame3.98.2 as well.
@ flurb
@ Trident
@ NanM
@octoagonproplex
My experience with Medieval is that it splits the tracks into whatever the original file/cue was ripped in.
Tons of converters. I've used Easy CD-DA Extractor for ages for both converting as well as burning either Audio CDs or MP3 CDs.
@All
Although I have a great appreciation for the quality of lossless files, I am quite happy with MP3 @320. In fact, for much of my own listening use I convert everything to MP3 @320 and make nice large CDs that play forever. Occassionally I will convert to WAV and burn an Audio CD for others or the car.

re: BLACK SUNDAY
I have the DVD audio ripped already. I'll look at the End Title and see what I can come up with. As far as the "Descent Into The Stadium" cue, it's pretty cluttered with SFX, sorry to say. I agree that the re-recorded version is pretty crappy.

Heya guys,
How do I find out if a few scores I was prepping to share are in-print or out-of-print?
Wouldn't want to violate the rules... I can wait for the weekend to share, if need be.
--mcc
@ mcc - For scores that have a U.S. release, go to the sites that sell the scores commercially (SAE, Intrada, Varese, etc.). If any of these sites are selling the CD's as new (not used), it's a safe bet it currently in print.
I believe the wonderful people who administer this site allow a score to be shared if it is over 2 years old....therefore, add the date when you submit your shares for others to appreciate.
@ NanM
Yeah, thanks to you I'm able to successfully split the files using "Medieval Cue Splitter".
Now I'm just trying to figure out the best way to convert them from WV into MP3. I wish their was a splitter that would also convert them.
I still have my ears open for any advise anyone may have on this issue. Ruggo suggested "Easy CD-DA Extractor" which I may try, but tomorrow, I'm worn out for today.
@ Ruggo
Thanks for the recommendation buddy.
God bless all.
@ --mcc - If it's been out for over a year, it's ok to post.

Re; T R O N Legacy [IMAX 3-D]
Yes, It's True! The long awaited sequel to the film that started the CGI revolution, will be released in 2010. Since 2008, as it was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con, there where rumors that Daft Punk would score the film. I was a bit worried when I learned that Daft Punk is scoring the film, but giving a listen to the teaser used at this years SDCC changed all that, at least for Me.
Here's 2 versions @ 320 kbps, which were featured and used for the Tron Legacy Lightcycle unveiling at the 2009 SDCC (see Premier link below).

Re; Ryuichi Sakamoto
Way to cool,
I've been listening to His work since He did the 'Fieldwork' project with Thomas Dolby back in '85.
Cal, I'd be seen standing on the freeway exits with a sign - 'Will Write for Rare Soundtracks'. lol.
Now I can get back to work,
Cheers! \ ( -_- ) /

@ ALL -
Having a conversation with a friend the other day he came across a find in a flea market.
MFSL 3LP Set, 3-150-1,2,3, Stereo, 198X, 1/2 SP Remastering from RCA Master Tapes
Thoughts on this? Anyone?
