Here we are, June's first.
All of you know Stephane Grapelli.
The following soundtrack is "Les Valseuses" (The Balls, in english, yes, the Balls, you know what i mean)
A cult movie in France, starring Depardieu & Dewaere).
Very subservive movie (not politically correct)
The soundtrack is joined with a Delerue soundtrack for "Calmos", another Bertrand Blier movie, as trashy than the previous one.
The music is beautiful and i hope you will like it.
My own Cd rips at 320:

I do have one tough request, and I hope that one of you could fill it.

"Le Voyage En Ballon" by Jean Prodromides , released in 1960.

NOT the CD version, which omits over 8 minutes of the score.

The CD version is from a 10 inch ep that was used for cd release.

The LP is what I am looking for.

Either the Philips PHM-200-029, or the Philips PHS 600-029.

Can anyone help me out on this one?

Thank you, to all of you.

@Honored General

"Le Vollage en Ballon" is a wonderful movie, my favourite when i was a little boy.
I cannot remember the music.
Don't even knew that it was released.
Bad beginning for a shop about euro soundtracks.

@Eda-88

Thank you very much for your support. I would be happy to go to Amaty :)

Michel Legrand, even with american scores, deserves to be in this place (do we deserve to share Michel Legrand ?)

The score for Le Mans is well known.

Buzz Kulik's "The Hunter" is Steve McQueen last movie, he stands in the same character that "Wanted: Dead or Alive".
Legrand's music is great, a cross-over between Schifrin and Vivaldi

I've got a certain number of albums, and don't always know where it comes from. Various sources : p2p, blogs, newsgroups and naturally my own records.
I always try to say thank you original poster, but sometimes it's difficult to remember who posted what.
I sometimes downloaded rips coming from me on the blogosphere.
I don't care, i just want to share, but i don't want to hurt anybody sharing "confidential" rips.
If i pass the line, just tell me, i will remove the post.

This is a cool & groovy comp. i have on my hard drive since a long
time, mostly french composers :

Welcome to Janus2810 & Segroeg, here's a little housewarming present, was requested last month at the Filmscorium. Not my rip, all thanks go to the unknown ripper...

Guido & Maurizio De Angelis "Afyon Oppio (aka The Sicilian Connection)" (1972), LP @192:
http://rapidshare.com/files/119408404/GMDA-AfyonOppio.zip

eda-88 said...

@ Segroeg, always waiting for you!

I'm not sure that i've seen "Quel Negozia Di Piazza Navona" TV!

But always interesting to hear new from Ortolani!

Thanks for posting 2 albums of Michel Legrand starring Steve McQueen!

I saw THE HUNTER, two guys who starring McQueen+Wallach, i loved they after The Magnificen Seven!

@Filmpac, thanks for score from that thriller movie!

Thank you!

eda-88 said...

@ Segroeg,
also you know very good french scores...

Do you know before in Franklynot has been posted or not has been posted (in compilation maybe) Claude Bolling's "Qui?" (1970)...
Looking for this!

And if to speak about Legrand i'd like to hear his music for "Les Maries de l'an 2" with Belmondo!
Strange but rare!

I hope Janus will come soon and will fullfill some requests.

I just want to say again that Janus2810 is one of the greatest collectors i know (virtually).

I guess i would'nt be very happy to see one of his rips posted by me without his authorization.

The fact is when i download a score (or anything else), the first thing i do is retag properly the titles, including the original year and cover.

I don't like having in my collection such titles :
Track 01 Album Unkown Artist Unkown, etc.

So at the end all my albums are formated in the same way, so for me it's difficult to know who posted what, even if it's my own rip or not :(

I know two main problems :

Posting a still in print CD, that could bother our host.

Posting a very rare LP rip, that could bother the original poster, who could be a collector, somebody making money with trades, and don't want to see his rips spreading all over the net, in p2p or blogs not very honests.

I try to manage this two constraints, but it's not easy.

Isbum said...

@ segroeg - You've expressed some concerns that are mine as well.
The fact that we don't publish Lp and Cd covers keeps this blog from becoming a K-Mart for the indiscriminate lecher's.

Filmpac and I often talk about how few downloads we receive on our posts. We've concluded that the general population likes to point and click, not read or wait days for a request to be filled.

If we slip-up, and the originator wishes a post to be removed, it's as easily taken off as it was put up.
Besides, an honest apology is good for the soul now and again. It reminds us to be humble and thankful for what we do have.

Isbum's "Sunday Sermon" on Monday.

@Isbum

You're right.
Obviously, this place is not invaded by leechers.
I made some uploads at Morricone Lovers that reaches 500 or more downloads.
I think it's very reassuring, and assures a long live to your place.

Isbum said...

@ Segroeg - I've had several at M.L.'s too. Those numbers are mind boggling.
I'm happier knowing who the music is going to and that it's appreciated, I guess.
Shall we sing the Theme Song from "Cheers" together? ;)

Dear Janus2810 & Segroeg

Enjoy your new home...

I too feel kinda welcome or much at home, here. After all, having been born and raised in Europe, it's only normal to feel familiar
:0))

I have some G. Delerue requests, do you think you may find these..?

The Pumpkin Eater (1964)
Women In Love (1969)
The Day of the Jackal (1973)
Richard’s Things (1980)
Partners (1982)
Mister Johnson (1990)

Again good luck!

Hello all! Sorry it's taken me so long to show up here and drop a few rips for y'all!

So to start things off, here's a killer Gianni Marchetti Soundtrack from the Film "il Magnifico Tony Carrera" I think this might have been around at some time before, but here's a fresh clean rip:

http://rapidshare.com/files/106528176/Il_Magnifico_Tony_Carrera.rar

Next up is a Daniele Patucchi OST from the film "Uomini del Mare", not all tracks are good, but if you love underwater/on the water type soundtracks, this one has some great tracks:

http://rapidshare.com/files/118215235/Daniele_Patucchi.rar

On a different track here now, Claudio Simonetti's father Enrico Simonetti actually bumped his son out of the pop charts with the single from this OST, nice druggy tracks with some cool 60's style club swing in there as well, Enrico Simonetti's "Gamma":

http://rapidshare.com/files/119461601/Enrico_Simonetti_With_Goblin.rar

And last, but certainly not least, some Italian funk by Franco Campanino and the Panama Red Orchestra "Napoli Si Ribella"

http://rapidshare.com/files/74277347/Napoli_Si_Ribella.rar

Enjoy! I'll be back to check in on some requests later in the week, hopefully I can fill some of them! JP

@ SEGROEG,
Thank you very much for "Mort D'un Pourri" & "Qui"!
I've looking (looked) for it so long time also...don't remembered
that it was posted before...
It's great score for this politic film very good addition!

I saw "Lucy Aubrac"-was great score of Sarde (Daniel Auteuil starring)..

In general Phillip Sarde is not too easy for finding as it has appeared... From such known films which I looked very often in general Le Sucre, Fort Saganne, Deux Hommes Dans La Ville, La Grande bouffe,Le Train, Flic ou voyou, Le guignolo, Sept morts sur ordonnance, Beau-pere, Le choix des armes, Joyeuses Pâques, Le Choc, Lucie Aubrac...
Practically anything was not present.
But anyway something of them i have found
Here's Sarde compilation (some tracks)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T8INVE2M

@janus2810,

Thanks for "il Magnifico Tony Carrera". I saw this film... The Majority of films which I looked, somewhere about 70 % I remember music and if it is pleasant to me -wish it to find and listen separately... BUT I did not see many films with fine music, like for example did not see any film with music Bruno Nicolai and Stelvio Cipriani..... But as though i get this music...(almost all)..

I haven't seen some of films with Legrand & Lai scores but i love those composers and want to download music from all films-even which i have not seen ... with theirs music..

By the way, Segroeg, to Almaty in September on festival Eurasia there came some stars.. Gerard Depardieu, Sophie Marceau, Lambert... Lane Davis Jacqueline Bisset. Gerard Depardie at all did not wish to be photographed and give with anybody the autograph..
Some I have uploaded, but many still now have not uploaded...

Hello, JP & Segroeg

Sincere thanks to posters on this new thread. Spectacular shares, as always. I’m far behind, but so far loving “Gamma”, and looking forward to some others.

Here’s an Italian we haven’t seen very much of around here. A career retrospective, the title translates as (I think) “Portrait of an Author ”. [33 tracks @320, 1961-1991, in 2 parts. Found on p2p.]
Fiorenzo Carpi,
“Ritratto di un autore”

http://rapidshare.com/files/120806618/FC-Rdua-part2.rar.html

Here are repaired copies of two tracks (“28. Night Club 2” & “29. Party) - because of (28) a gnarly glitch at 0:30 and master tape damage at various other points, and (29) the master having half of the first beat chopped off. Replace with these, if you wish.
Luis Bacalov,
"Cuori Solitari (2 repaired tracks)"
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1VN6YKPB

For completists, here are the film versions, somewhat remastered, and sequenced & tagged so as to be added to the CD's tracklist (trx 20-27). In glorious mono! Thanks to the original ripper.

JP, Segroeg is right. To us FranklyNotters, you are the Ludwig von Köchel of François De Roubaix.
;)

One last thing: Did anyone find a tracklist for Daniele Patucchi’s “Uomini del mare” or a cover image for Alessandroni's "Romance And Drama"?

.

filmpac said...

They don't come any more historic than this folks! Reported by IMDB to be, and I quote...

"This is the first film for which original music was specifically composed, by classical composer Camille Saint-Saëns."

The film was made in 1908 (not a typo, making it exactly 100 years old), the score runs at just under 20 minutes...

A shop link list is now available in the space where the usual Original Incredible Filmscorium monthly list is hosted.
The new list is up to date as of June 11, 2008 approximately middle of the day, depending where you're residing.
As you will see each shop has its own sheet build up the same way as the monthly list.
For some shops, such as "Golden Age Of Hollywood" or "Classical Music Hall", instead of one column for the artist, I have included one column for the composer(s) and another one for the performer(s) when one or the other information was available. This is increasing the research possibilities.
Otherwise, please refer to the main sheet explanation; it works the same way.
From now on the shop link list will be regularly updated and published on a monthly basis at the same time as the usual Filmscorium list. So you will be able to download both lists from the same space (click on "Quinlan's Monthly Excel Archive Spreadsheet".
If you discover an error or something wrong in the new list, please don't hesitate to comment.
All suggestions are welcome.
Thank you very much for your attention.

@Tripmastermonk

Your request was certain tiles from Xavros..., and you said : or any soundtrack...and you did'nt mentionned Red Lanterns in the titles you've already got.

I've got it on my HD, and really didn't know it was coming from Dave Records.

I've got about 5.000 soundtracks and have no way to remember where they all come from.

That's why i always try to say thanks to the original ripper and poster when a rip is not from my own records.

tripmaster said...

sergioeg - yea i hear you brother...theres no way i can possibly keep track of where i downloaded all of the music i've gathered thru the years. but wow!! 5,000??? thats an impressive catalog!!

Isbum said...

@ tripmastermonk - Not exactly sure why, but that reminded me of the line from "Repo Man".

Miller: "The more you drive, the less intelligent you are."

God! I hope that doesn't apply to hard drives. ;)

Question for our French friends:

"Des Gens Sans Importance" 1956

IMDB states: Music Joseph Kosma

Soundtrack Collector states:

Lp released in Japan - re-recording?

Was their a compilation of music from the films of Henri Verneuil?

@Tripmastermonk

An impressive catalogue ! What would be impressive is to listen to it all before i pass away ;)

@Isbum

As far as i know, the score from "Des Gens sans Importance" was composed by Joseph Kosma (not related with Vladimir Cosma)

I don't have it :(

Henri Verneuil worked with the composer Michel Magne (Melodie en sous-sol, Un Singe en Hiver...) then with Morricone (I comme Icare, Le Casse, Peur sur la Ville, le Clan des Siciliens...)

I guess you got it all.

Could you repeat what you said about hard drives and intelligence, i didn't get it :)

@ Quinlan,

Since track numbers don't quite match up (LP lists 12 tracks), I think this is it:

01 Le galop des aristocrates
02 Les feux de la chandeleur
03 La vieille fille
04 Le gang des otages
05 Le gang des otages
06 La maison de poupée
07 La maison de poupée
08 Un peu de soleil dans l'eau froide (dis-moi)
09 Seule dans Paris
10 Black Fire Dream
11 L' impossible objet
12 Un homme est mort
13 Soirée chez Marc
14 Les mariés de l'an 2

@ lumpy & segroeg - Found, the other half of Prof Dotto etc. The included front cover scan shows this might be from LP, if so it's a fairly clear rip. Thanks go the original unknown ripper...

Piero Piccioni "Il Medico Della Mutua" (1968), @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/126217100/PP-MedicoDellaMutua.zip

And a bonus share I also found recently, a latter Legrand score. Not too sure I care for some of it, but that might be my Western sensibilites, and would appeal more to French ears methinks...

Michel Legrand "Doggy Bag" (1999), @320:
http://rapidshare.com/files/126209711/ML-DoggyBag.zip

PS. Thanks for the Legrand Ecran, just about to have a listen now.

Requested a while back, before the Euro shop was a twinkle in its daddy's eye. Hopefully the original requester will find it here. Got this on a p2p program, so credit goes to, um, someone, I don't know who...

Armando Trovajoli "Brutti, Sporchi E Cattivi" (1976), LP @160:
http://rapidshare.com/files/126530251/AT-BruttiSporchiECattivi.zip

Blaxploitation.com had this to say: Also known as 'Affreux Sales Et Mechants', this funky soundtrack is a treat for producers and beats junkies as it opens with a strong downtempo break which is easily loopable. The funk isn't completely consistent throughout the LP, but well worth a listen as it's mostly instrumental with a mellow guitar feel.

It's nice, I like it. Enjoy!

Request: Rave Up with The Electric Banana

These superb groovy-psych-rock tracks were used in low-budget soft-porn, horror and Swingin' London movies such as The Haunted House of Horror, Some like it Sexy and What's Good For The Goose - in which The Electric Banana wrote the theme tune and actually appeared in too! They were also responsible for the track 'Cause I'm a Man which got chosen by Romero to be used in Dawn of the Dead.
